wow... i have no words.

trigger studios and a-1 pictures, thank you for an incredible ride. through 24 episodes, i’ve felt the craziest feelings towards this show. watching the first few bits, i thought this was going to be a dumb evangelion ripoff with direct lewd references, but it was way more than that. even though i initially despised this show, something about it made me want to delve in deeper into the show. following hiro, zero two, ichigo, goro, and the rest of the gang on their journey and seeing them go through hardships made me feel empathy towards them somehow. it’s so interesting to watch these kids explore concepts that need analysis to comprehend, such as love, leadership, authority, fertility, and more. the show still has its flaws though and is imperfect, but hey, i think that’s how every show, movie, book, etc. works right? i also think darling in the franxx is one of those shows that are great to discuss in classes with english teachers.

about the ending, i’ve never screamed and cried so much towards an episode. i was pretty disappointed with hiro and zero two’s death, but hey, the end of the episode is telling me that they’re starting all over again. what’s so great about it is the fact that society’s made a big 180 turn into rebuilding itself, and the kids are all grown up with having their own kids. i’m especially proud of my favorite pairing in this whole series, mitsukoko that is (and oh my their children are beautiful). but it doesn’t stop there, we got ichigo and goro finally becoming a thing and having their kid, ikuno and naomi are together, probably zorome and miku, and we even got futoshi and some other lady (they even got children too!). it’s so nice to see these amazing people improve and learn so much through time. however, i’m against the fact that they rushed this episode too quickly though lmao.

to wrap things up, i’m happy i’ve watched an absurdly outstanding show that’s consumed my life which made me feel so many emotions in one standing. even though there is so much drama existing in the community, there’s always the best people who won’t cause trouble. i would even always wait impatiently every saturday for an episode to come out, and i wouldn’t know what my saturdays would be like without a new franxx anymore with this series ending. maybe we’ll get a sequel, a second season or a movie perhaps. once again, thank you so much trigger and a-1, you did an amazing job. despacito.

Find someone who doesn’t just see the sun when they look at you. Find someone who can catch your eye and see a whole galaxy in you. Find someone who can kiss you and feel the earth turn just a little more.

Find someone who sees a universe inside of you.

This isn’t about looks. This isn’t about the exterior. Because love is anything but superficial. Love is the realest thing that anyone could ever have in our lifetime.

Love is magic. But it also humble.

So don’t look for someone with the best hair, or the best mega watt smile. Don’t look for someone that your friends gush over, patting you on the back for finding a ‘catch’. Don’t look for someone who is the best dressed, and who cares too much about their time in the gym than anything else.
