A light tap on your window was enough to get your attention away from the blue screen that lightened up your dark bedroom.

You stayed frozen in your bed as your eyes looked intently the window beside your bed, the pause was long and you could feel the loud silence of the outside world drowning the cheery music that was blasting on your headphones.

"Shit." You muttered under your breath at the sound of another pair of tiny taps against your window.

You slowly crawled back, carefully taking of your headphones and grabbing the nearest thing as a weapon against whatever was on the other side.

The anxiety grown as you got closer and closer, the book you held rising lightly as you peaked through the curtains, just to get a glimpse of a face staring back at you.

"Open up, please. It's getting cold here." The man pleaded with a whine, you rolled your eyes at the familiar voice of the intruder.

"You should've called, Dick." As the window opened, the boy wonder crawled into your room with ease.

"I know, sorry. I didn't knew where else to go." He sat on your bed, basking on the darkness in front of him and letting the sudden peace consume his sorrow.

You could feel the heavy weight the former robin held inside, although you knew that getting that information out of him would be an impossible mission; you decided that at least you could make his stay a little bit come comforting.

"It's okay, don't worry." You shrugged off." Did you ate? I could make something for you if you want."

Dick shook his head." No, thanks." He muttered with his head low. It was awful to see him so beaten up.

You sat besides Dick and rested your head on his shoulder, he took a brief look of you before taking your hand in his and and lacing your fingers together.

"I'm here if you wanna talk." You looked up at him through your lashes, tightening the grip of your hands lightly as a reassurance.

"I could use some company." A tiny sad smile graced Dick's lips, followed by a sigh that made your heart ache for the boy wonder.

You stayed like that for a moment till Dick got the courage to speak again." This might sound stupid, so don't laugh." he started, fidgeting with your fingers as the words lined up inside his brain." I think you're my safe space."

Dick chuckled to himself, it sounded bitter, like a way for him to cope with all the stress that was burdening him." I had a fight with Bruce, yeah, it was pretty bad." Even though Dick was smiling you could see the pain behind his eyes.

"Sorry if I didn't called, but I needed you. You were the best thing I could think of." Dick sighed, waiting for a laugh, waiting for reaction out of you.

It never came, so he continued to dig his grave even deeper." I think I'm in love with you, crazy right?"

You were caught of guard by his words, taking everything he said all at once was enough to make you freeze and stutter an answer that didn't fit mood Dick had created.

"You don't have to answer, I just wanted you to know that."

"Dick, no no, I-"

"Can we lay down, please?" Dick interrupted you, untangling your hands as he laid down in your bed, he patted the spot beside him, pleading for you to be with him.

And you did, carefully settling down to meet him. Your heart fluttered lightly when Dick caressed your hair, playing with it mindlessly as he went back to gaze into the darkness.

"Dick?" He hummed, putting his attention on you." I think I love you too."

He smiled, the first true smile he had made in all night." Really?" You nodded, feeling the beat of your heart go crazy due your confession.

"That's nice." He mustered, finally allowing himself to rest.

educate yourself and others about pregnancy prevention and join groups that are making preventative birth control more accessible

learn the nearest and most accessible routes to states where you and your loved ones can access abortion

contribute to mutual aid funds to help transport people over state lines if they are in need of abortion

consider joining The Satanic Temple so you can claim protections under the Religious Abortion Ritual if you are prosecuted for obtaining an abortion

keep a stock of by-mail abortion pills for yourself and/or others who may need them (you may need to travel out of state to obtain them)

form community provider networks and see if you or someone you know can be trained to use manual vacuum aspiration kits or a Del-Em

all of the above should be done in complete secrecy using verbal communication, end-to-end encrypted apps such as Signal, or a VPN

If you are in a yellow state, you currently have constitutional abortion protections but they are in jeopardy. Get active in local political groups NOW to fight back against constitutional amendments to ban abortion. Your focus should be purely on political action.

a decade ago, 20 children and 6 staff members were shot and killed in the tragic sandy hook elementary school shooting. today, a decade later, 14 children and 1 teacher had their lives taken at robb elementary school in texas. it’s been a decade, and there has been nothing done to prevent this from ever happening again. may they all rest in peace.
