this is from my wip Trillium! (it has another title but it's a working title so i'm going to keep it to myself a moment more lmao)

Some things can fly and counteract the effects of gravity, and while not immune, can somewhat bend gravity to their will– at least superficially. Neither Kenobi nor Cody are any of those things.  “Well this is interesting,” Kenobi shouts to be heard over the wind rushing past them.  Cody has no idea how the general can even talk; Cody’s own lungs have compressed against the back of his ribs even as he’s finding the position most suited to slow his fall, trying to take measured breaths to maintain consciousness as the distant greenery of the ground below becomes - worryingly - decreasingly distant.  He’s never been one for heights. Not really. He’s been good at covering his dislike of them, and he’s always been able to push through to the other side of anything that might require a brush with vertigo, but he’s never once been fond of it. He doesn’t enjoy the swoop in his stomach, he doesn’t enjoy picturing himself as a splat on the ground, he doesn’t enjoy having nothing to hold on to as he hurtles through nothingness.  Fingers lace with his own. “Cody, darling,” Kenobi says.  Cody looks up sharply at the sound of his name being whipped away on the wind. “I’ve got us.”

it's WIP Wednesday! since I've seen a few people interested/amused by my "cody is That Bitch" aus description, how bout a sneak peek? >:)

this is also called the "what if Cody was..." fic and you'll see why!

“Hello, there." Comes an unexpected voice. "Are you Commander Cody of the Coruscant Guard?”

“Marshal Commander,” Cody replies blithely without looking up from the report he’s reviewing. Correcting, really. Stone has some serious rewriting to do and Cody is not above threatening him with demotion. Honestly, a Commander should know better than to put this shit on his desk. 

“Ah yes, apologies, Marshal Commander,” comes the suave lilt of a Coruscanti accent. A politician? Every once in a while, one of them manages to find their way to his office despite it being (very deliberately) one of the most difficult rooms for Natborns to find.

Cody looks up and—ah. Jedi. He’s not sure if that’s better or worse, actually. Quinlan Vos is helpful, aside from the headache of covering up broken procedures, and Cody quite likes the way Master Windu looks at the Chancellor (like he’s one good push away from giving up his Jedi code and strangling him). But Jedi always come with problems. Quests. They want something from him and Cody respects them more than the politicians he can steer away into an abyss of red tape. 

“I’m Obi-Wan Kenobi,” the Jedi continues with a charming smile that Cody assumes gets him quite far in situations like this. He’s handsome, pretty features with a dashing beard and reddish hair just a touch too grown out. “My Marshal Commander sent me, actually. Said you were the man to talk to about anything happening on Coruscant.”

“Fox,” Cody names, unimpressed. There aren't enough Marshal Commanders that it's hard to keep track of who went where. “Of course he would.” 

Obi-Wan’s smile falters but comes back brighter. “Might you have some time to assist me?”

Cody looks him over and, mostly to see what he does, answers, “No. I don’t have time.”

Truthfully, Cody is intrigued. And there’s the whole, respect for Jedi thing, blah, blah, blah.

“I see.” Obi-Wan blinks. He strokes his beard. His smile is gone but his eyes are sparkling with something more genuine. “Well, and I hate to bring it up, but Fox did say you owe him a favor?”

A slow grin breaks on Cody’s face. Oh, well isn’t that interesting? He taps a finger on his desk. “And you’re here to claim it, Master Jedi?” He hums. “I suppose I can make time.”

Art Wip Game

@artisticallyill you asked about the Battle Cody & Obi so here it is

This one is definitely a bad name. While technically accurate, it's not the defining thing about this. Battle Cody & Obi is the name of my drawing that is my Codywan FMAB AU. Truly the title says nothing, and idk what i was thinking when i named the drawing but it's my fmab au

Here's it is so far:

In this au, the jedi are the state alchemists, Obi-Wan is a general and a state alchemist and a highly revered one but I don't know what his alchemy specialization is yet. Cody is his right hand who watches his back and has several big guns and people are scared of him.

I imagine this drawing to be them fighting Maul, who would absolutely just set a bunch of things on fire, not even with alchemy but with straight up matches cuz he's petty like that and Cody and Obi-Wan are trapped by the fire and waiting to see where he strikes next.

When I was ideating this, I realized that their dynamic is already pretty similar to Mustang and Hawkeye, especially with the "we can't date cuz you're my superior officer/subordinate" and the "i will flirt with others as a tactical move but it's fake and the real adoration only comes out with you"

obi-wan's been told that his commander has a cool demeanor and a good head for strategy. he's the best of his batch. he's the perfect second-in-command for the high general, and obi-wan is genuinely trying to find a way to describe him using the terminology he's been given without making him sound like the most boring man alive

then obi-wan MEETS his commander and this is his face when three minutes into their first engagement cody full body tackles a droid twice his size:

Ahhh yes of course! 💜 It’s a direct continuation of Morning, Cody. Quiet domesticity of Obi-Wan starting the day, meditating, but he ends up just watching the outside come to life with a cup of caffeine in his hand. Cody eventually shuffles by, stretching and tapping Obi-Wan on his chest before turning back and dropping a kiss in his hair.

Cody even offers to walk Obi-Wan to the door once he puts the car in park in the driveway, and he doesn’t push when Obi-Wan declines. Instead he passes him the keys—their fingers brushing for just a few seconds too long, sending tingles up the length of Obi-Wan’s arm—and turns to make his way across the street to the firehouse, but not before he makes Obi-Wan promise to call him if he needs anything and apologizes one more time.
