So here are the healed pictures of my Millennium ring tattoo. Still can't get over the fact that this has been my easiest and least painful tattoo so far, my artist was just as surprised as I was lol.
I'm absolutely in love and it has helped me a lot feeling more confident about my stomach, which has always been one of my biggest insecurities.

I'm in LOVE! Will definitely take another photo in like a week when the swelling and redness is gone and I've taken the Dermalize off.
Excuse the boobage

My artist just showed me the drawing of my Millennium ring sternum tattoo and I'm STOKED!
With the size and all we should be able to get it done today as long as I don't tap out from the pain 😬
Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

So guys, I finally decided on a design for my sternum tattoo.
*drumroll*
The Millennium Ring
I've had this one on my list for a long time now and originally I wanted it as part of one of my sleeves but then I thought "You know what, let's place it where it really belongs" so that's what I'm gonna be doing.
Since both of my arm sleeves and probably my leg sleeves as well will be colour coordinated with the cool toned colors on the right and the warm ones on the left I want to keep the middle relatively neutral. I also don't particularly suit gold so I opted for a black Millennium Ring. Not like solid black but black metallic. Will definitely add some glow effect probably in yellow and maybe some wispy fog like thing behind and around the ring.
Will ask my artist today if he still has an open spot this year since there's gonna be new restrictions regarding tattoo ink in the EU starting on January the 4th which will limit them to black, grey and white ink for a while.

Might just be one of my favorite hair colors so far. I lovingly call it Cosmo and Wanda disguising themselves as my wig.

I'm actually remodeling Raihan's team for a fanfiction I may or may not write at some point where I want to give him a more dragon-based team but still try to keep in a few weather effects.
Good to know Raihan doesn't take his partner into consideration at all when blasting out his sandstorms and earthquakes.
So his and Leon's match wasn't actually great teamwork with how their Pokémon complimented each other but more like Raihan doing his thing whether Leon liked it or not and Leon having to bend to his will basically.
I dare ya'll to call Leon a himbo one more time cause that title definitely goes to Raihan.

Love how you don't even have the option to chose Raihan as your partner for the Galarian Star Tournament the first time.
Seems like Leon didn't leave him much of a choice 👀

I'm getting motivated to replay the game just to pay more attention to all the little details and maybe even talk to every NPC cause sometimes you get really interesting little information out of them.
Finding this uniform was just by pure luck so I can only imagine what you can find out from purposely searching for these things.
Who is (or was) Hop and Leon's father?
. Okay so this is going to be a far-fetched and over-the-top theory, but I wanted to write about it lol. Some fans have speculated that one of the pictures in Hop and Leon's house could be of their father, who we never see or hear anything about during the game.
. One issue with the narrative of pokemon games is that the existence of the protagonists' father is only indicated through dialogue (with the exception of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.)
. If you check out the post by @bluethealpha covering this picture, it is pointed out that in films, people wearing all white normally resemble a desceased person, and that, if you look carefully, the person in the photograph is different to that of Leon. The examples that are given for this are that the body shape is different, and there is a shadow under the nose indicating a mustache, rather than Leon's beard. Therefore, it is likely that this is supposed to be a lost relative, rather than an awkward young Leon.
. So does this mean we should take this hint with a pinch of salt? Maybe not. In the case of pokemon rivals, there has been the presence of fathers in the past on multiple occasions. (Eg: Cheran and Bianca's parents in Black and White; Lillie and Gladion's father and so on.) With this considered, the absence of Hop and Leon's father is more unusual than that of the Protagonist's.
. You could say that the absence of parents is a theme for all rivals in this game, with Bede being an orphan and Marnie's parents never being revealed. However, in Marnie's case, we never see the interior of her home like we do with Hop, so there's not an excuse to directly interact with her parents. Also, her townfolk are homogenised as 'Team Yell', so we could guess that her other family members are among them. With Bede, I think his character situation at the beginning of the game is used to make him distinct from Hop and Marnie, who both have some level of encouragement and support that Bede has never experienced.
. (It gets a little morbid from here) So why is Leon and Hop's father hinted but never spoken about? What makes this stranger is that there is absolutely no mention of Hop's father throughout the game. You'd think that Sonia's character would have a story to tell if something had happened to someone related to Leon. Therefore, this loosly suggests that what happened to Hop and Leon's father is too terrible to bring up in any conversation, almost confirming that he is either deceased or missing.
. If something happened to their father, WHEN did it happen? If Leon lost his father while he was completing the Gym Challenge, this would be another explanation for why he percieves his Champion title as bitter-sweet. Also, this would mean that Hop was either a baby or a toddler at the time, which would explain why Leon seems to be the only father-figure he has ever known.
. I don't want to go into this too much for sensitive reasons, but I think mental health in sport is a HUGE theme in these games that went under the radar. The 'Stiffen the upper lip' attitude is presented in all the characters, especially in Hop, Leon, Marnie and Bede. As the player character, we are thrown into a world where failure is stigmatised. When one person is successful, they are expected to be a superhero, and everyone around them is suddenly 'lesser.' Therefore, it's entirely possible that Hop and Leon's father was inevitable towards their characterisation for many reasons.
. In Motostoke, Sonia states that Leon 'Practically raised' Hop, further implying that he had to step in for a parent that wasn't there. Due to this, it is no wonder that Hop looks up to his brother more than anyone else, as he is the only father figure he has ever had. This also explains why Leon 'Really worries' about Hop, as Leon has probably always had to be like a dad as well as as a brother. Therefore, Leon leaving home due to his career would have had a significant impact on Hop.
. In addition, you may have noticed that Hop's hair is more like his mother's, while Leon's hair is more similar to that of his 'father' in the picture. Maybe this is one reason why there are so many pictures of Leon in the house, and none of Hop. If their mother is still grieving, this may not be down to personal preference, but because Leon resembles his long-lost father more than Hop does.
. Even if Hop was never truly able to get to know his father, he probably felt responsible for making him proud, alongside saving Leon's name, which would have had a crippling effect on his self-esteem. Also, if Leon did lose his father while completing the Gym Challenge, alongside his characterisation in Twilight Wings, this implies that both him and his brother's tipping points lie with their mental health. This again links to the endless cycle related to mental health in sport culture.
. So who is/was Leon and Hop's dad? I think he's a plot device in terms of his character, for the main themes of the game. This is still just a theory- I could just be overthinking this whole thing haha. I hope we have more storylines for the characters in the Crown Tundra, which maybe elaborate on this.

Okay so I stumbled upon your post like an hour ago and just found this uniform elsewhere.
You can actually find it in Motostoke in the uniform shop when you go to the left of the Pokémon center down the stairs and across the bridge.
The uniform is framed on the wall and it turns out it's actually Kabu's (old) uniform.
Tumblr media
A possible reason why one of Kabu's uniforms is displayed in Leon's and Hop's house could be their father (cause I don't see Leon doing it) swapped jerseys with Kabu, which would imply they've known and greatly respected each other. Maybe their father was a sort of rival to Kabu, another Gym leader perhaps or even going all the way back to when Kabu was still living in Hoenn. They could probably be close in age so it's not impossible that they've known each other for a long time if they really did meet in Hoenn.
This is getting seriously interesting and I really hope we get more information with future DLCs and the likes.

Hey, if any of you are interested in my more personal stuff check out my side blog tungsten-carbide.
I mainly post about mental health and self improvement, also linked to my own experience with mental illness and trauma and how I have and still am recovering from these things. I also often post about stuff like communication in relationships/friendships and other things not necessarily related to mental illness.
This blog basically is my collection of advice that works for me but also for people with similar mindsets to mine that might not find the usual positive reminders to be helpful for them. I bet there are many people out there who feel the same way I do where they prefer actual advice and sometimes hard truths.
That being said I do recognize that these mostly positive and supporting posts are focused on making you feel better still work for others even if they don't work for me and they do have their rightful place in the mental health community. I'm just trying to offer help and advice in a different form for those who need.
So feel free to message me or send in an ask (anonymous or not) even if you just wanna say hi. I'd greatly appreciate it ☺️
