“Up and at em!”
You jolted out of bed to see Poe standing at the door, it wide open and his hip resting against it. As you shot up, your blankets slipped down your shoulders and gathered around your hip, your entire nude upper body on display.
Poe’s eyes widened, “OH!” He turned immediately, hiding the blush on his face from you, “I’m so sorry, I-I didn’t think that one through.”
You looked down and back at him confused, “What’s-”
Oh.
Your cheeks were suddenly burning and your body felt a bit uncomfortable as you responded, “T-thank you f-for waking me. I haven’t slept before.”
He stiffened for a moment, “What do you mean you’ve never slept before?”
Your eyes widened as you slipped, “Oh, um, sorry I don’t know what I’m saying I must be really tired.” You rose and put on the clothes that were on your bedside as fast as you could, “All dressed, let me just use the restroom.”
Poe turned back around to face you, hair disheveled, shirt loose, and eyes droopy from sleep and fought the smile that wanted to appear on his face, “Y-yeah, no worries.”
You went and washed your face, brushed your teeth and fixed your hair. Stepping back out into the room, Poe was at your desk inspecting your sabers.
“Do they fascinate you?” you asked, letting him know of your presence.
He jolted like he got caught doing something he wasn’t supposed to and looked up at you, “Yeah, the colors are... impossible? It’s like my eyes can’t comprehend them even though I see it so clearly.”
You gently smiled as you reached over and grabbed the two of them, linking them to the sides of your belt, “Interesting observation.”
He rolled his eyes and turned to the door, “God, you don’t make it easy.”
You followed him with your brows furrowed, “What ‘thing’ am I making more difficult than necessary?”
You heard him laugh over his shoulder as you followed him, “Your secrets!”
You wanted to ask but actually had to focus on keeping up with him through all of the corridors and people running back and forth. Eventually, you reached a small clearing where a few of the ships were landed, yours being one of them.
“We’re gonna run flight battle simulations in your ship today, using recorded battle data from previous resistance fights.”
You already know all of the formations in the resistance as Leia’s memory provided, though seeing it happen and actually doing it are two very different things. You already knew how to pilot though, so how hard could it be?
As you entered your ship, you saw workers standing in the hallways with datapads and wires, “What are they doing?”
Poe turned to you, “They’re assessing your ship for any damage or malfunctions, also analyzing the ship and learning it’s capabilities.”
You nodded slowly and walked up to one of the workers near the room where the random parts you had were, “Hey, have you checked in there?”
He looked up at you from his datapad, “Yeah, there’s a bunch of unassembled droid parts back there, are they malfunctioned or something?”
You finally understood, “Which droids are they? What kind?”
He looked back down at his datapad, “Hm, let me see... it looks like an R2 unit, a medical droid, an A series protocol droid, and three cleaning droids.”
Your eyes widened, “Do you have assembling manuals for those kinds of droids?”
He looked at you questionably, “What, you wanna read a manual and suddenly know how to build a droid?”
You raised your eyebrow, “Yes, that is exactly what I want to do.”
Poe made himself known a bit behind you, “Hey, we got a manual, give it to the man already.”
The worker looked at the Commander and swallowed, looking down at his datapad and pressing the screen a few times before handing it to you. You looked at the datapad and saw the assembly manual for the R2 unit, it was only about 4 pages long as it was extremely detailed and as you connected with the force, you read the manual. As you did so, you opened the door to the room, the light coming on and illuminating the parts laying in the center of the room. Reaching out with your hand, you connected the pages with the adjacent parts and they began to rise. The worker and Poe looked on from the front of the door in awe as you began to assemble the pieces together. It actually wasn’t that difficult as you already understood the systems of a ship, an R2 astromech unit is built to sustain one.
“Hey, can you get me the manual for the next droid?”
The worker and Poe walked into the room to stand behind you and for the next few minutes, the worker and you passed the datapad back and forth as you assembled droid after droid.
Finally, all of the droids were assembled in front of you in a single horizontal line.
“That was one of the most incredible things I’ve ever seen,” the worker whispered.
Poe was struck as he had heard so much of the fairy tale power called the force, but to actually see it unfold right before his eyes. To make it even better, it was coming from the one person who managed to actually make Poe Dameron nervous.
You turned around to see both of them staring at you, shocked, “Oh, I’m sorry, I have the ability to understand an object after I touch it and connect with the force. I probably should have mentioned that.”
“Don’t apologize for that! You wanna turn them on? I wanna see if they work!” Poe laughed.
You smiled, “Yeah, just give me a moment.”
You walked up to the R2 unit and placed your hand on it, reaching through it and enveloping it. You reached for its memory banks as it was the closest thing to a soul that a droid had, and infused it with your force energy. It wouldn’t do anything special to the droid, but it would connect you with it, so even though it thinks in code, it would still be able to feel you. You did the same for the A series protocol droid, medical droid, and cleaning droids.
After you were finished, you backed away, “Hey, do you think that I could reprogram them? These droids are probably very... old so they might have something wrong.”
The worker seemed excited to help, “Sure! Give me just a minute to grab a few people and a few things that we need.”
You nodded appreciatively and turned back to admire the droids, these were to be a part of your new family.
“You’re incredible, you know that?” Poe came up to you.
You ignored the shiver his words sent down your spine and managed a smile, “And you are very kind.”
He smirked at you, “Nice choice of words, very careful.”
You looked at him in confusion, “What do you mean?”
“Well, you didn’t agree with me so you’re humble, but you also didn’t disagree so you have a good sense of self-esteem. You also threw in a compliment as well, yet you also didn’t actually say anything that told me about who you are, all in just five words.”
You actually managed a smirk back, “Yet, your choice of words seems clumsy. It took you 49 words to tell me you wanted to know more about me. Yet it took me only 22 to correct you.”
His mouth slightly went agape as it turned into a wide grin and he nodded slowly with his lips taut together, “Alright, Y/L/N, you win.”
You laughed as the worker returned with two others, one of them walking front and center to introduce herself, “Lieutenant Connix.” You reached out your hand, “Y/N Y/L/N, it’s a pleasure.”
They greeted your gesture in kind and motioned for the workers to go plug in their cables to the droids, “I coordinate and oversee ship repairs and assessment along with logistics. I got the scan of your ship and the craftsmanship is something I’ve never seen before, who made it?”
You smiled nervously, “I did.”
The workers behind you stopped moving and the lieutenant doubled back, “I’m sorry, you built this ship?”
You nodded, “With the force, I simply crafted it in my image based on my knowledge of ships and what I felt would be satisfactory.”
She looked at you but you knew she was thinking in her own head, “As crazy as that sounds that makes sense, the way the hull is crafted is perfect, there is no inconsistency in the density or elasticity of the parts it was like it wasn’t even crafted in the first place.”
You felt a bit of pride swell in your chest and you grew to enjoy the feeling, “Thank you, I don’t identify as a crafter but I appreciate your praise.”
She laughed a bit and sighed loudly, “Alright, so you wanted to reprogram these droids?”
You nodded, “Indeed, I’m not too familiar with creating programs and directives and such so I assumed you guys would.”
She nods and motions to the two workers looking at their datapads that were now connected to your droids, “These guys can help you get it done. How do you want to program them?”
You thought for a moment, remembering a R2 and C series droid in Leia’s memory, along with the slight information the manual presented you and reached a conclusion, “Well, I want all of the droid's prime directive to be loyal to me. I want it etched so deep, no kind of tampering from another software can mess with it.”
The workers nodded in unison, as if it was not a problem.
“For the R2 unit, program it with knowledge on every ship you guys have in your database, including the scans you’ve taken of my ship. I want it to be able to make any kinds of repairs on any ship wherever I go. The protocol droid I’ll have be the same as C-3PO, program him with every recorded language you can, I want him as a translator, and he can only assist in translations with people that I approve of in addition to all resistance personnel. Additionally, program him with multiple therapeutic programs. Program the medical droid with all the procedures that can fit in its head, and program the cleaning droids to... clean,” you explained thoroughly.
They nodded along with you until the end so you assumed they managed to fulfill all of your requests. After a few more minutes of them tinkering with their datapads, “Alright, we’re all set. Shall we fire them up?”
You nodded excitedly, “Please.”
The workers gave each other a look and a nod and pressed down on their datapads, all of the droids suddenly coming alive. They all made various beeping noises as they accustomed to being conscious before looking around the room. None of them made any more noise or movement as they scanned the room and ultimately came to look directly at you.
“Hello, sir! I am A-3P2, translation protocol droid! I am honored to be in your service!” the silver droid spoke up, its body relatively the same as C-3PO’s but silver instead with blue eyes.
The golden astromech made a few beeping and whirring noises and you understood him to be R2-D4. Interesting, I wonder if that means that he is R2-D2’s successor twice over.
The medical droid spoke next in a garbled voice, “Hello, my name is MD-7, medical droid for the vessel... unknown.”
You looked at one of the workers confused, “Unknown?”
“Are we just gonna ignore the fact that they all immediately knew who in this room Y/N was?” Poe questioned.
“Your ship isn’t registered. To anything. You have no transponder codes and you aren’t in any of the databases, your ship... doesn’t exist,” the worker responded to you.
“Oh, I have to name it,” you muttered as you brought your hand up to your chin in thought. “How about, ‘The Force?’”
The worker smiled, “That’s a perfect name.”
The medical droid spoke once more, “I am a medical droid for the vessel, ‘The Force.’ It is nice to meet you.”
A few chuckles were in the room as the cleaning droids also introduced themselves to you, not actually having names but you could understand their distinct personalities. As soon as they introduced themselves, they immediately scurried off to begin cleaning your ship.
The medical droid also stood, “I will be going to the medical bay and unloading the supplies the resistance has stocked the ship with, if I am needed please call me.”
As he left the room, the Lieutenant spoke up, “Alright, shows over I guess. Let’s get back to it.”
She left with the workers and you were left with Poe, R2-D4, and A-3P2 in the room.
“Alright, well now it looks like you’ve got an astromech! Slight problem though, your ship doesn’t have a slot for one,” Poe turned to you with a painful smile.
You didn’t even have to respond, the droid speaking up for itself in a series of boop’s and beep’s.
“Yeah, I don’t speak droid,” Poe returned.
You understood the droid, “He said that he already knows the ship isn’t fitted with an astromech socket, which is why he’s the gunner for the turbolaser on the top. I have a console for its firing system in the bridge but only a droid can plug in and maneuver it. Plus, he can still do repairs inside of the ship.”
Poe nodded in acknowledgment, “Oh right, forgot about that thing, to think a mid size ship like this is equipped with a damn turbolaser is crazy.”
“While I may not be able to repair the ship, I am always here to offer language translation and to be a friend when you are in need,” A-3P2 chimed into the conversation.
You smiled as Poe sighed, “Thank you, do you mind if I call you A-3 instead? At least when we’re in a rush.”
He raised his hands in a grand gesture, “Of course you may, sir! I thank you for the elegant nickname.”
You turned to the astromech, “I would say I’d call you R2 for short but they already do that with another R2 unit here. How does Ruie sound?”
The R2 unit stood for a moment and spun its top disk before chirping excitedly, telling you that it really liked the name.
You smiled greatly, “I’m so glad that you like it.”
Poe called to you from the door, “Come on, you’ve got training, and we’ve put it off for long enough.”
You rushed over with Ruie and A-3 catching up, “Sorry, I completely forgot.”
Reaching the bridge, Poe sat in the co-pilot position as you sat in the pilot’s position. He tinkered with the main console for a moment and the windshield of the ship suddenly shut and began to display a visual as if you were in space, alongside x wings with First Order transports. Though, the image was frozen.
“Alright, do you recognize this formation?” Poe asked.
You nodded, “I was given a run down of your formations and I... studied them.”
He raised a brow, “You’re a fast learner it seems.”
You chuckled nervously in response.
“Anyways, the mission is to take out the transports and tie fighters before reinforcements arrive and jump to hyperspace, got it?”
You nodded and steeled yourself in your chair, taking the controls into your hands and preparing.
“Launch program,” Poe said aloud.
With no warning, the image began to play and you were soaring through space.
“Woah!” you yelled, rearing the controls to the side to avoid the incoming laser blast.
“You’ll never get a warning in battle. Good reflexes,” he commented.
You managed a ‘thanks’ as you tried desperately to avoid the incoming fire. The ship wasn’t actually moving or taking any damage so you weren’t exactly swaying side to side. Though, you could see on the screen along with the multiple alarms ringing over your head that your shields had taken a big hit.
“Damn, this isn’t easy. I don’t know what to keep track of,” you remarked.
“All of it, you need to prioritize your information intake and act. Firstly, you make sure you have no fighters tailing you down, if you do, you call it out and ask for help. You don’t have any fighters on you? Help anyone else out. While you’re doing all of that? Make sure to complete the objective,” Poe explained, sitting back in his chair while you were actively stressed beside him.
“Understood,” you responded, completely focused on the task.
You checked your scanners to see that there were currently no ships on you and you decided to call out, “I’m making a run at the transport, I’ve got its hyperdrive in my sights.”
You knew no one could hear you but you still wanted to practice, reaching over to toggle the front gunner weapon position and targeting the hyperdrive of the transport. As you did so, Poe stood from his lax position to look at you and back at the monitor, a knowing smirk on his face that you couldn’t see. As you rushed forward to destroy their means of escape, you caught on your scanner from the corner of your eye one of the x wings on your squadron being tailed by two fighters. As you did so, you immediately broke off of your attack and looped around the transport, dodging lasers from their cannons as you catapulted straight towards the fighters.
“Da-” you heard Poe begin before he shut himself up.
You began targeting one of the two ships and fired, managing to knick it in the wing and have it explode, “I’ve got you, targeting the other now.”
As you did, the fighter laid heavy fire on your teammate and he was nearly taken out, but you had struck first, landing a shot straight into the pilot’s seat of the craft and saving the x wing.
“Not bad at all,” Poe stated.
“I had a good teacher,” you responded with a smile.
You spent the next few hours running more training simulations and even brought Ruie in to help in a few situations to give him some experience as well. Overall, it wasn’t absolutely terrible, but the simulations had been giving you a run for your money. You felt like you had beginner's luck when you aced the first simulation but your lack of practical experience flying definitely made your practice difficult. You were good at making quick decisions along with a sharp sense of spatial awareness but struggled with the precise movements which was something you noted to work on.
“I think we can call it, even I’m tired,” Poe said as he ended the simulation and stood up.
You stood as well, “Yes, I’m beginning to get a bit tired myself.”
“Wanna head over to the cantina? I’ll buy you a drink,” Poe smiled hopefully as the two of you began walking out of the room.
You hesitated for a moment before responding, “Sure, that sounds like a good time.”
The two of you walked onwards, eventually reaching an area lit up in the dark where there were workers and soldiers gathered around having drinks. There was a small stall dug in that you recognized as a bar, two workers currently managing it.
“Correlian Ale for me and my friend,” Poe said to the bartender.
“Gotcha,” they responded, moving to prepare your drinks.
The two of you rested against the bar as you turned towards each other, “So, where are you from, Y/N?”
You looked at him for a breath before responding, “I’m from uh... Mortis?”
Shit, I couldn’t lie, but I can’t believe I just told him the truth
He looked confused, “Mortis? I’ve never-”
“Here are your drinks,” the bartender interrupted the two of you by placing them down on the bar in front of you.
You reached for your drink immediately and motioned it towards him, “To a successful day of flight training!”
He looked like he wanted to say something but ultimately dropped it and grabbed his beer to clink it against yours, “Yeah.”
This was the first time you had ever drank alcohol as you neither had any nor would it have any effect on you. You could tell it was alcohol from the slight burning in your throat as you ingested it, though, it actually wasn’t that bad or strong at all. You assumed Poe had gotten a placeholder drink to get started with.
After the two of you took a sip you controlled the conversation immediately, “So, where are you from, Poe?”
“I was born here, on Yavin 4. My parents were also fighters in the resistance,” he responded.
“Oh, wow! So this is your home planet? That must be very comforting.”
He had a faint smile on his face, “Yeah it’s good to have home be our base but... if the trouble we cause comes looking here, I’d be the reason my home planet faces ruin.”
You had a solemn look as you listened to him, “I understand how you feel, the fear that something precious could be destroyed simply because you chose to let it become precious.”
He looked at you intently, “Sounds like you don’t like letting people in.”
You were taken aback by his response as his words held more impact than he knew, “I-... my past isn’t pretty, and I’ve made so many decisions that I regret... every decision... I regret.”
The two of you stood in silence as you struggled with your inner emotions, “I cannot let myself go back to the person that I was, I will not allow it.”
Your hand came to ball up into a fist, unknown to you, but Poe noticed it, “Do you want to talk about it?”
Your eyes snapped to him as the all too familiar feeling of anger coursed through you, “I don’t want!-”
You stopped abruptly and slapped a hand over your mouth, “I am so sorry, I-I need to leave.”
You left your beer on the counter and a conflicted looking Poe behind and rushed back to your room. As you entered, you closed the door and sat yourself down at your table, resting your head over your arm on the cool metal.
“I can’t believe I lost it like that back there, I’m such a child, no control over my own emotions,” you muttered aloud as you reprimanded yourself.
I know that I have to face what I did... but it hurts too much. I’m not ready for that, I- I’m not ready
You stood and undressed, turning off the light and setting the alarm clock to wake you up in the morning. Getting into bed, you heaved a sigh and prepared yourself for the day to come.

“You can start by helping Y/N to his quarters, they’re right next to yours,” Leia said as she walked away dismissively.
“I thought-” you began but were unable to reach her.
The room I was in before must have just been temporary usage to clean up.
“So that empty room besides mine is yours then,” Poe reminded you he was there.
You turned to look at him, trying to ignore the way his gaze made you feel, “I suppose so. I’m sorry you got stuck with being my welcoming party.”
“It’s no big deal, I was gonna head back to my room anyway so it’s no problem. Let’s go,” he responded, turning to lead the way.
As the two of you walked along, you felt... awkward? It was a sensation you had never experienced personally but from your time in Leia’s head, you realized that it meant you were unsure of yourself. Why would I be unsure of myself? There is no reason for my confidence to be shaken.
“So, how did you find this place? We kinda pride a secret resistance base on, ya know, being secret?” Poe remarked as you walked.
You smiled, “I felt Leia through the force, it led me here.”
“The force, huh? Leia called you a Jedi, is that right?”
You sighed, “Apparently. Or, I will be.”
He gave you a look with a raised brow, “You don’t talk much, do you? Or more, you don’t want to give away your secrets.”
Your nerves spiked for a moment, “I-I’m not sure what you mean, I have nothing to hide.”
The look on his face told you he knew you were lying but he shrugged and continued on regardless, “I’m sure you don’t. Doesn’t matter, in time, I’ll figure them all out.”
“What does that-”
“Here we are! This is your room,” he knocked on the door of the room in the hallway you were in. “I’m over here,” he motioned a door down, “see you later!”
You were struck as everything happened so quickly and before you knew it Poe had closed the door to his room behind him and you were left in the hallway alone.
What just- anyways
You pushed the button to open the door and found a much larger room than the previous one. There was a decently large bed with plenty of space, a bigger table and closet space, and the bathroom in the back also had considerably more room. Shutting the door behind you, you noticed a box on your desk. Inspecting it closer, you found hundreds of small parts inside.
Chime
Your door made a noise and you turned around to open it and find Leia on the other side.
“Do you find your quarters satisfactory, Y/N?” she asked with a smile.
You took a step back to invite her in, closing the door behind her, “I am most grateful for your accommodations, they will do more than nicely.”
She turned to you, “I’m glad to hear that. Now,” she reached into her pocket and took out your kyber crystals, “I want you to try and build your sabers before tomorrow.”
You reached over and grabbed the crystals from her, “But, I have no-” you suddenly remembered the box of parts behind you, “I see. Though I have never built one before.”
She walked you to the table and sat you down in the chair, “You remember seeing me build mine?”
You thought for a moment, “Yes... I remember.”
“Then, remember the feelings and thoughts I had when I built it. Building a lightsaber is different for every Jedi, so do not rely on how I built mine. Speak with your crystal, understand what it wants, what it needs, and do it.”
You sighed, “Very well, Leia. I will try my best.”
She gave you a reassuring hand on the shoulder before she left the room, leaving you with your crystals and a box of parts.
You adjusted yourself in the chair in order to get comfortable and placed your crystals on the desk in front of you. Focus on your crystals, speak with them, understand them. As you always do when you focus through the force, you meditated. For minutes, you simply sat there, connected with the force and listening, listening for your crystals. You heard nothing for so long you almost gave up until you heard it.
It was like a whisper. So quiet, so faint, you almost didn’t hear it.
Then came another.
Your crystals. They were speaking to you.
You listened intently but couldn’t make out any words. Though, you understood. It was as if they were speaking a language you couldn’t understand but they were conveying their intentions through the force. You could feel in your mind exactly what they were saying and you honed in on their voices. As you reached closer, their whispers grew louder and you were able to hear them clearly. As you reached out, you felt your crystals, and reached out further towards the box of parts. As you tried to establish a connection between the parts and the crystals, their voices were suddenly snuffed out.
“What? No! Come back!” you said aloud.
You couldn’t do anything about it, no matter how hard you focused, you couldn’t hear their whispers again.
“Damn it!” you yelled as you opened your eyes, slamming a fist on the table before getting up.
As you paced the room you tried to understand what went wrong. It wasn’t as if the connection was breaking up, they simply cut it, something happened. But I listened to them? I understood that they were ready to be utilized. Though when I tried to add the parts to the connection that’s when they cut it.
As you paced, you took a look at the digital clock that was on the bedside table and noticed it was three whole hours since you had started.
“How can this possibly be taking so long?” you said into the empty room.
Chime
You stalked up to the door and opened it to find Poe, “Woah, bad time?”
You realized your frustration and tiredness was written across your face and quickly fixed it, “Sorry, just having a hard time.”
He leaned to his left to look over your shoulder and into the room, “Trying to put something together?”
You sighed, “My lightsabers, I’m... having trouble figuring them out.”
“Leia doesn’t have some sort of manual?” he questioned.
You chuckled slightly, “There’s not really a manual for building a lightsaber. You have to... listen to your crystal and understand what it wants. It’s almost like it builds itself... apparently.”
“Apparently? That cause you can’t build it?” he side stepped you and walked into the room.
“Oh yes, come in, please,” you said sarcastically as you closed the door.
He walked up to the table and looked at your crystals, “Damn, these things are pretty cool.”
You walked over as well and rested your hip by the table, “Yeah, they are. Would be way ‘cooler’ if I could get them to talk to me.”
“Ok, first of all, ‘cooler’ isn’t a word. But importantly, maybe that’s your problem? Trying to make them talk to you. Let them talk when they’re ready, and that’s when they’ll truly accept you,” he turned to look you dead in the eyes.
You actually considered his words heavily as they had a wisdom to them, “Wow, I think you’re actually right.” You then blushed slightly, “Sorry, I’m trying to get better with my vocabulary to make it less... formal and rigid.”
He thrusted a hand to his chest as if he were in agony, “Is that surprise I see for Poe having some wisdom? Ouch!”
You were almost genuinely concerned until you realized that he was putting up an act and you laughed, “That’s not what I meant at all.”
He gave you a soft look, “I know, was just messing with you. I was going to ask if you wanted to go grab a drink at the cantina, but I think you’re more needed here.”
You smiled and nodded your head a bit disappointedly, “Yeah, Leia wants these done before tomorrow.”
“Damn, no pressure or anything,” he said as he walked towards the door.
As you escorted him out, you laughed, “I think she’s challenging me because she knows what I am capable of, something I didn’t think of until you helped give me another perspective.”
As he walked back out into the hallway he gave you a look for just a second that you almost missed it, it was one of disappointment, or would longing be the better term? No, most likely disappointment.
“Well, I’ll see you tomorrow then, yeah? We’ve got flight training first thing in the morning.”
You nodded with a smile, “I’m looking forward to it.”
With that, he gave you a small smile in return and left. You closed your door and returned to your chair, getting into a meditative position and trying once more. As you sat, you let go of everything, all of your senses, all of your thoughts, you emptied your mind and body into the room. You sat with patience, not stress, not in a rush, perfectly relaxed. You knew what you needed to do and you were going to do it. You had no sense of time, no way to understand how long you had been in this position, but you didn’t care. You needed your crystals to trust you completely, and you were going to do the same for them.
You finally heard it again, the whispers of your crystals. This time, you didn’t need to listen closer, it was as if they were right next to your ear and speaking directly into your mind. You didn’t rush anything, just sat there and listened. They were telling you what form they wanted, what shape. The color... the length, it was all being conveyed to you through their intentions. Your hand raised instinctively as it made a half curled fist out of the air, as if you were holding something. The crystals were attuning with you, understanding how your body worked and how best they could mold to fit your shape perfectly. What you did not expect however, was your other hand to raise in the same, creating the same grip as your other hand did.
You slowly opened your eyes to see your arms up with the grip you felt in your mind within your palms, both of your crystals elegantly floating above them. You smiled as you could now feel the connection clear as the sky... before your crystals began to violently vibrate.
“What’s going on? Are you ok?” you asked aloud.
The connection was still as strong as ever and you were completely stunned, unable to understand what was happening to them.
As they shook in the air, they began to emit their colors of white and black dimly before eventually breaking. Both of them, into two separate pieces. Though they stood the same, the same light emanation still floating above your palms, the vibrations now completely subsided. Immediately, you understood what it meant and closed your eyes once more, deciding to now reach out for the parts as well. As you did, they floated above the table, multiple pieces floating closer or further away from your crystals as they assessed their compatibility. You couldn’t see it, but you could feel them begin assembling, some of the parts even changing shape slightly to fit better with the other pieces. It was like a part of you was slowly being uncovered as they were assembled, pieces fitting like a puzzle but within you as much as the crystals were with the parts. After a short while and the twinkling of the metal noises in your ears, you suddenly felt their communication cease. Opening your eyes, you came to see your sabers partly assembled, but missing a few components. As you looked at them curiously, you wondered why they were not asking you for more.
Clink
You felt the tiniest vibrations on the floor and the table as you looked around the room. The alarm clock was vibrating just the slightest and your door suddenly flew open. As you snapped your head to look, there was no one there. You were about to take a step forward and close it, thinking it was some kind of door malfunction, before you felt something coming... fast.
You jumped out of the way between your desk and your door just before small metallic parts came barreling into the room and coming to float alongside your partially built sabers, orbiting them as your crystals gave them a once over. As you sensed all the parts had already arrived, you walked closer to your desk and moved the chair out of the way, watching the last pieces mold and fit into where they needed to be. As the last pieces finally connected with each of your sabers, the light your crystals were emitting suddenly enveloped both of the sabers, becoming nearly blinding as they radiated. After a few moments, the light died down back within the hilt’s and inside of the crystals.
Now, you had two completely built sabers floating in front of you.
The saber to your left had a deep black color, so deep that as you looked at it, it seemed as if it led on for infinity. To your right, a perfectly white saber, so smooth it was as if it was the culmination of all colors, the perfect white. You reached out and grabbed them, igniting them to have pure dark blades on your left, dual-bladed, the saber on the right emitting a white similar to its own color, also dual-bladed. The moment your palms grasped the sabers and held them, the connection was complete. It was as if they were a part of you now, they were you.
“It’s good to have you with me,” you said to the both of them with a smile.
As you deactivated the black saber, you took the white one into both of your hands, dual-wielding it for a moment before doing a twisting motion with your hands and having the hilt come apart into two separate blades.
“To think I would have access to so many saber forms... single handed, dual-wielded, even possibilities for personal incorporation of technique with multiple blades,” you whispered incredulously.
You deactivated the sabers and connected them, placing both of your sabers on the table flat. Turning to look at the time, you realized that you needed to be awake in a few short hours-
Wait, I need sleep now too
It was like the moment you made that realization, the sheer exhaustion your body had event after event finally hit you and your eyes drooped tremendously, your entire body feeling like all of the energy had been sapped out of it. With great difficulty, you managed to climb into bed and realized how uncomfortable it was to have your clothing shift and stall with every movement against the sheets. Sighing, you wiggled your pants off and removed the rest of your clothing save for your underwear and returned to a comfortable position. This certainly helped as within moments, the gentle lull of sleep lured you in.

After you and Leia left the room, she handed you off to a soldier that directed you to your living quarters. As you entered, it was a small room with another in the back corner that was even smaller, most likely the shower.
“Thank you,” you said to the soldier before closing the door behind you.
You didn’t know what your role was exactly so you had assumed that Leia had meant for you to bathe and eat before returning to her. Looking around the room, it was extremely simple, gray colors mostly with white for the pillows, a table with a metal chair with paper and a few pens, and a chair in the corner with a cabinet behind it, most likely the dresser. You undressed and placed your clothing on the bed, simple black and red robes, and stepped into the smaller room. As you walked in, the lights came on and you saw a sink with a toilet next to it, a hole in the wall most likely for the garbage, and the shower right next to it with a sliding glass door. You turned the faucet to the left, hoping that the red mark underneath it meant warm. You held your hand out to test the waters for a moment before feeling it heat up and you stepped in, sliding the door closed behind you.
As soon as you stepped into the waters, you gasped.
It felt incredible.
You knew what a shower was but you had never taken one yourself, never getting dirty in the first place. The warm water cascading over your body... it was a sensation you were completely intoxicated by, it felt...right. You caressed your body with your hands as the water overtook you, as if it were wrapping you in a hug. The warmth of the water seeped through your skin into the rest of your body, warming you from the inside out. You simply stood there for a few minutes, appreciating the feel of it on your skin before opening your eyes and seeing a small shelf carved into the wall. It had one small bottle on it with a bar of soap, the bottle labeled, ‘shampoo.’ You poured a generous amount of the liquid onto your palms before lathering your hair and massaging your scalp, knowing from Leia’s memories the usage. You were starstruck at how many pleasant sensations came from such a simple act as you gasped once more at your own massage.
“I really need to get out more,” you muttered into the void of the endless water.
As you lathered into your scalp, the soap began to fall down your face into your eyes and the immediate sting that rocked your skull made you cry out and shut your eyes. You expected it to be safe as it didn’t hurt anywhere else but realized that it might be a more dangerous substance than you might have first assumed. For the rest of the shower, you eyed the bottle suspiciously.
After you finished cleaning yourself off, you turned off the shower and stepped out to grab one of the folded up towels on the shelf, rubbing yourself all over to dry. Once you finished up, you walked up to the sink and wiped away the steam from the mirror to finally get a good look at your own face. Your beard was completely unkept and inches long, your hair the same, though nearly reaching your shoulders. You opened the compartment under the sink to find an electronic device. You were curious so as you picked it up, you studied it and came to understand it as something that cuts. You plugged it into the wall and flicked the button to see the razors at the end begin to move at rapid speeds and understood immediately that it was a grooming device.
You gave yourself a once over in the mirror and ended up actually appreciating the hair you had grown, even all over your body. It was as if you had become human when your fathers powers transitioned into you and you began to have human physiological processes.
Hair growth, hunger, mortality... these are all human traits. I suppose I have become one myself after my fathers death, for he was the source of my immortality.
You decided to leave the body hair that you had accumulated as it suited you, and decided to give your beard a serious trim. You shortened the entirety of the length just longer than a stubble and clean shaved your neck portion, lining up your cheeks as you saw Obi-Wan do his beard. Once you were done, you moved to cut your hair much shorter. Longer hair looked good on you but you knew to fit in helmets, or to run, or to make sure you don’t get caught on anything, you needed shorter hair for efficiency. You also cut your hair much like Obi-Wan’s, shorter on the sides but a bit longer on the top, though you cut your hair a bit shorter than him.
Once you threw away all the hair and cleaned up, you entered the main room to see clothing folded on your bed. Your robes were no longer there which you actually appreciated, those robes were a constant reminder of who you used to be. There were boots at the edge of the bed which you slipped into after clothing yourself and opened the door to find yourself facing the same guard that brought you there.
“Were you waiting for me this entire time?” He responded curtly, “Yes, sir. General Organa has asked me to escort you to the mess, then to command.”
You felt a bit guilty as you spent your time enjoying that shower while he had to wait for you, “I’m sorry I made you wait.”
He gave a small smile as the two of you began walking towards the mess, “It’s nothing to worry about, sir.”
You hoped he meant that and didn’t say it because Leia told him to play nice with you but dropped it as you had other concerns. Upon entering the mess, you were greeted with hundreds of soldiers, pilots, engineers, and workers sitting at tables and eating together, laughing at jokes and play fighting with each other. You looked upon it with wonder in your eyes, as well as contempt in your heart. This is a true family, you thought to yourself. You internally gutted yourself as you were the reason that your family was unable to be like this picturesque scene in front of you.
“Sir? You can grab some food over here,” the guard pulled you from your thoughts.
You turned to see him motioning over towards a station where a soldier was currently grabbing some packeted contents. You walked up to the station and grabbed one of the packets, knowing from Leia’s memory that they’re ration packs.
“I’ll eat this as we head to command, lead the way,” you said to the guard as you ripped the package open and began to eat, yet another sensation that was completely new to you but you enjoyed it, at least you thought you did.
He took you through a series of hallways that you were beginning to map out and remember in your head and eventually led you to the same room you were at before, this time a bit more crowded as soldiers were working the multiple stations.
Leia was at the holotable and noticed you, “Mr. Y/L/N, I’m glad to see you are all cleaned up and have joined us.”
You had finished your food by now and stuffed the wrapper in your pocket, walking up to Leia, “General, I’m glad you’re having me.”
“Y/N, I would like you to meet a few people from the resistance,” she motions to everyone surrounding the table, “This is Snap Wexley, one of our best recon pilots in the resistance.”
The man spoke up with a smile, “Good to meet you, Y/N.”
“This is Admiral Statura, he’s our lead logistics officer,” she continued down the line.
Statura responded, “Glad to have you fighting for the resistance.”
“This is Admiral Ackbar,” she motioned towards the Mon Calamari.
“Greetings, Y/N,” he responded plainly.
“Lasty, this is Commander Poe Dameron, one of my most trusted operatives,” she introduced.
You hadn’t looked at him yet, but after she motioned to who it was and you saw his face, you immediately felt hot.
Hot? Why do I feel hot? And why is my mouth suddenly dry?
“It’s uh- it’s good to meet you, Y/N,” he said, looking right at you.
You had no idea what was happening to you but for some reason the way he had said your name and the way you couldn’t keep eye contact with him was alarming.
His eyes are so piercing, like they’re looking right through me. His hair looks so soft... are lips supposed to look that... desirable? What is happening to me.
You were having an internal panic attack and you couldn’t place why, it was aggravating you on top of it.
“Y/N? Are you alright?” Leia questioned, turning her entire body to look at you.
Everyone else started staring at you and one of them mumbled something about how you were ‘blushing?’
“I-” you cleared your suddenly full throat, “excuse me, I have no idea what’s happening to me.”
You broke your eye contact with Poe finally and looked to Leia, already feeling whatever was happening to you to decline.
“Should we call a medic?” she asked softly, already preparing to wave someone.
You cleared your throat once more and took a deep breath, “Sorry, excuse me for a moment.”
Without anything further, you turned and sped out of the room, turning the corner of the wall and slamming your back against it.
What just happened?
Poe’s POV
Leia called me in to command to meet some new guy who was joining the resistance and I was kinda pissed. Since when did I turn into the welcoming party?
When I got to command, I saw a few other high ranking officers and Leia gathered around the table and she said that we were waiting for the guy to arrive.
“Seriously? Most of the rebel command has to sit here and wait for some random guy? We have things we need to be doing,” I complained.
“Commander, the only other thing you could be doing right now is eating in the mess hall, we have no active missions. Wait for Y/N to arrive,” she responded.
I grunted and decided to just follow orders. I only got this guy's name, Y/N Y/L/N, and that he’s some kind of pilot, not much else. After waiting for a few minutes, Leia called out his name and I looked over to see who it was. As he walked up, he had this certain air about him, like he was someone who had influence. Though, when I saw his face all of my thoughts completely disappeared. There was something about him that I couldn’t place, something that I needed to figure out. The second I looked into his eyes I could see so much pain, yet so much grit, I couldn’t bring myself to look away. I didn’t even notice that the General was introducing everyone until she said my name and broke me out of whatever trance I was in. Though, even when I introduced myself, I felt uneasy and nervous, and I still couldn’t look away from his damn eyes. I couldn’t tell what was going on but his eyes met mine and suddenly his face flushed and he looked like he was about to throw up. It kinda hurt for some reason but the pang I felt in my chest when he looked into my eyes was something I couldn’t even focus on since he nearly ran from me.
“What just happened?” I asked the General.
She had a slightly knowing look on her face, “I think he just needs a moment.”
What was that? That feeling I got when I looked at him, it was like he... excited me? But for some reason I can’t help but want to figure him out. It’s like I can feel it deep in my chest that I need to learn more about him, to know him. Is this what a friend crush feels like? Damn, I must be getting old.
Your POV
Think about it, Y/N, what was the exact cause of why you just had that reaction? Everything was perfectly fine up until... I saw P-Poe. Why do I like saying that? I saw him and I felt hot all over, my cheeks especially, and my- my throat was dry and I had trouble focusing. Did he do something to me? I didn’t sense any force energy coming off of him
“Hey, you doing alright?” someone stopped in front of you.
You looked up to see a woman looking at you with a concerned expression, “Do you think you could help me figure something out?”
She shrugged, “What’s going on?”
You sighed and licked your lips, “So this has never happened to me before and I have no idea what it means. I was in the command room and for some reason, the second I looked at Commander... Poe, I felt all hot over my body, my mouth got dry, my heart rate got faster, and I couldn’t form words very well. Is that something that his species does or something? I thought he was human but I gu-”
“Let me stop you right there,” she cut you off with an amused smile. “So the second you looked at the guy, you felt all flustered and nervous?”
“Nervous?” you nearly squeaked, shocked at the sound you produced yourself.
She giggled a bit, “Oh maker, how old are you? Didn’t you go through the whole ‘I like this person a lot I want to do naughty things with them’ stage?”
You cocked your head, “How old am I?”
You genuinely thought about it but couldn’t come up with a solid answer. You were technically thousands of years old but your body was perfectly preserved. You realized that your body was technically only a few days older than the peak of physical health, which most likely meant you were just above the age of twenty five, “I’m twenty five, and no I haven’t gone through any stage like... that. Do you mean the act of copulatio-”
“Not so loud!” she cut you off. “And no one calls it that, it’s just sex,” she whispered. “You’ve never been attracted to anyone before?”
Attracted? Ridiculous. I have never been attracted to anyone before and I won’t be, especially not now
You straightened up and cleared your throat, “Sorry for bothering you, please forget this conversation ever happened.”
With that, you turned and headed back to command where everyone was waiting.
“Are you feeling alright, Y/N?” Leia greeted you.
“Apologies, I am perfectly fine, please let us continue,” you responded as you joined her.
You could feel Poe’s eyes on you which sent shivers down your spine but you tried your best not to look at him as you knew it would send you into the same reaction as before. Whatever this is, my mind is just playing tricks on me... yeah that’s all that it is. While you repeated that in your head like a mantra, you found yourself still sneaking a few peeks at him during the meeting, making sure to never catch his eye. You essentially told them that you were a decent pilot, that you were force sensitive, and that you wanted to help them fight against the First Order. In return, you learned about their roles more in depth and how the system of the rebellion worked. Once the meeting was adjourned, everyone turned away to separate things while Leia turned to you.
“I’m sure you would like to know your role.”
You nodded, “I would, I can assist with ship repairs and piloting.”
She motioned Poe over from the corner he was at and he walked up to the two of you. The closer he got, the more nervous you felt, but it was a good kind of nervous, something that you wanted to get used to.
“Yes, General?” he replied, yet he was looking at you.
This time, you finally met his eyes and you nearly gasped. It was truly incredible the effect that he had on you.
“As a newby pilot, Y/N here will be training directly under you, he will shadow you and go on missions with you,” Leia explained to the both of you.
“Newby?”
“Shadow?”
You and Poe spoke at the same time and gave each other a short look before returning to Leia, “That’s exactly right. However, when Y/N is not on missions with you, he will be training with me.”
“Training? What do you mean?” you questioned.
“Jedi training, what else?” she responded, as if it was the obvious answer.
“I-I don’t need any training,” you looked to the side.
“Y/N,” Leia spoke softly, “you have your crystals, you are on the path to becoming a Jedi. You have to learn how to wield those sabers as well as you wield the force.”
You looked back at her, “Once I build my sabers, the moment I touch them, I will be able to attune them to my body.” You leaned in close to a whisper, so no one else would be able to hear, not even Poe, “If I was at full power, I would be able to immediately learn all saber techniques and I wouldn’t need any training.”
She whispered back, “Well, you’re not at full power, so for now, you have to train.”
You leaned back and sighed, “Fine. I can agree to that.”
Poe looked confused and his eyes darted between the two of you, “So, we’re just gonna pretend that I wasn’t here for a part of that conversation then suddenly reappeared?”
You actually had to stifle a laugh.
“Y/N knows how to pilot, but he’s never been in a battle before. I need you to run flight simulations with him and teach him our tactics. Can you do that, Commander?” Leia moved the conversation back on track.
He sighed and looked at you for a moment before turning back to her, “Alright, let’s get started.”

Thank you for the mention love 💕
Do you have a fic rec? I’ve read all of yours already and you’re amazing! 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Awe thank you 😘😘😘
Well, I have a thing that I’m not reading any other fics when I’m in the process of writing one and it seems like I’ve been writing daily since Nov 19. Currently waiting on a writer’s block to start reading again. It’s not that I don’t want to. It’s more like my brain can’t compute when reading fics and writing at the same time since I have a hard time writing as it is.
However, I do know these writers to be great and they’re all awesome human beings too

As your ship came out of hyperspace, you came face to face with a planet the navigation console called Yavin 4. As soon as you dropped out, you felt her presence. She was incredibly powerful and had a deep connection with the force, you could almost feel that the midi-chlorians loved her. You were appreciative of this presence as it allowed you to understand which part of the planet to pilot down to. As you were just entering the atmosphere, your center console began beeping and you realized that you had an incoming communication. Reaching over, you pushed the button that opened the communications channel.
“Unidentified ship, identify yourself and state your purpose,” you heard a voice play overhead in the bridge.
“My name is Y/N Y/L/N, and I come looking for a woman named Leia Skywalker,” you responded swiftly.
There was a slight pause on the other end, “What do you want with- You are not cleared for landing, turn your ship around and leave immediately or be blown out of the sky.”
You sighed, “Please, I am not with the First Order, I come in peace. I need to see Leia Skywalker.”
Your scanners picked up four other ships in formation behind you.
“This is your last- what?” you heard a slight commotion on the other end before they spoke up once more, “You are clear for landing, land at these coordinates.”
Your console beeped with the incoming coordinates which you promptly entered into your navigation computer and eventually set down your ship at. Exiting the ship, you were immediately met with a welcoming party, four soldiers with blasters at the ready, two people who looked like they worked communications, and Leia.
“I heard you were looking for me?” she asked as you descended the ramp.
“Indeed, you were the source of the light in this galaxy, and I knew that I had to come,” you responded as you walked up to her, keeping a slight distance so as to not alarm the guards.
She looked at you inquisitively, “You’re a Jedi? I can... feel your energy, it’s strong.”
You decided to spare her the details, at least for now, “Not quite, but... becoming. I have my crystals but no sabers.”
“Have you come to join the Resistance?”
You thought to yourself for a moment, “I believe so. Though I must first speak with you, privately.”
“And why is that?” one of the guards asked.
You didn’t remove eye contact with her as you tried to convey your intentions to her. It seemed to work as she waved her hand at the guards, “It’s alright. Mr. Y/L/N and I have things to discuss.”
She turned and headed towards the main building, her entourage following as you caught up with them. After a series of hallways and a few people walking past your group, you ended up in a large room with a circular technological table at the center. Walking up to it, the group dissolved around the table and Leia guided you further across the room to a door, a smaller adjoined room behind it.
Once the two of you entered, she walked up to her desk and turned to you, “What is it that you need to tell me?”
“It’s more of what I require of you, but I can also give you answers to questions you might have,” you responded.
“Who are you?” she questioned.
“I knew you would start with that, it’s my energy right?”
She nodded, “I can sense that you’re extremely powerful yet... it’s like I can’t sense anything at all at the same time.”
You sighed, “You are correct. I am currently suppressing my force energy as I fear if I unleash it all it could throw the galaxy into chaos.”
“You didn’t answer my question,” she solidified.
You looked her straight in the eyes, “I was once known as ‘The Son,’ a cosmic being and emblem of the dark side of the force.”
You were expecting her to have a reaction at what you had said but she stood unmoving, intently listening to what you had to say.
“My sister, she was known as ‘The Daughter,’ she was the emblem of the light side. My father, he was known as ‘The Father,’ and he was the one who held control over me and my sister, and by extension, the light and dark sides of the force.”
Leia made no moves to interrupt you and her aura was warm and inviting, allowing you to speak freely without judgment.
NEXT PARAGRAPH IS POTENTIALLY TRIGGERING (SEE WARNINGS)
“When I was,” your throat began to swell as the memories of what you had done had returned. “When I was the emblem of the dark side, I was a slave. I had no control over myself as I had no sense of myself. In my anger I killed my sister and nearly killed my father. Though, he ended up doing it himself,” you had to stop yourself from speaking as your words began to turn to whispers, your throat tightened as you tried not to cry. After a moment and a deep breath, you gathered yourself, “After my father died, his powers transferred into me, and with the help of... your father, I put myself into a slumber to ensure the balance would stay stable in the galaxy. I was only to awaken once a nexus event in the force occurs. Though I’ve come to find out that I am to assist this nexus event to occur instead, it should be sometime within the next two years.”
She responded immediately as she had intently listened the entire time, “My father? What do you mean?”
“Anakin Skywalker, my father had invited him to the palace for him to take over as the controller over my sister and I, as he was getting old and was going to pass away soon. We might have had immortality, but our father didn’t. That is when all of the events I told you about conspired. I swore him and his companions to secrecy, which I assume he kept, even though he turned to the dark side.”
“And now with your fathers powers, you’re able to feel both sides? Have control over them? Is that why you’re now able to control your own thoughts and actions?”
“Very astute, Leia. That is precisely my situation,” you responded with a smile, happy someone like this was in the galaxy.
“You asked to speak to me privately,” she turned and began to walk the room, “which means that you don’t want anyone else to know about this.”
You nodded, “That is correct, as far as anyone else is concerned, I am a force sensitive pilot who has little knowledge about the mundane and wants to fight against the First Order.”
“Little knowledge about the mundane?” Leia turned to you.
“I’m afraid that I am unfamiliar with the rituals that humans go through on a day to day basis, and usually find myself befuddled at situations I haven’t been in... which is just about anything outside of a tropical climate or random acts and things I’ve seen through the force. Once I pick something up, I can see its history and its inner workings, but I have to do that for just about everything because I know nothing,” you tried to explain as best as you could. As you were speaking, a piece of your grown out hair fell into your face and you pushed it away, “I’ve never had hair before to shape, nor a beard to groom.” You also took a look at the large glass pane that let you see into the other room to look into your reflection, dirt all over your face from Utapau, “I’ve also never gotten... unclean to need cleaning.”
Leia sighed and closed her eyes, “So you’re a newborn baby aside from your emotional and mental maturity?”
You squinted your eyes and raised your eyebrows, “...yes? Though I am also fairly new to emotions outside of the scope of the dark side.”
She gave you a once over, “Well, no offense, but your appearance corroborates so I believe you. Now, what do you want from me?”
You straightened, “Information really. I don’t know much about what’s going on currently in the galaxy other than the control of the First Order. I need information on how things work, processes, the day to day in the life of a Rebel. I assume you are in charge which is why you are the best source of information to get this from.”
“That sounds like it will... take a while, I’m not sure I can accommodate you.”
You took a step forward, “I agree, while spoken word is the most comfortable way to convey information, there is an alternative.”
She looked at you questionably, “What is the alternative?”
You smiled lightly, “It’s nothing to fear, it’s simply a bit invasive as it requires me to search your memories and acquire the information that way.”
“You mean look into my mind? My memories?” she responded.
“Precisely. It will almost be like I would live through the events myself, it is the easiest way for me to acquire the information I need,” you stated.
“Why couldn’t you do this with anyone else? Why me?”
“Good question. Your connection with the force makes it easier for me to reach into your mind than most others. Additionally, while I enter your memories, I become vulnerable to influence from the person I do it to. I know that you do not have any ill intentions. To add to all of that, your memory will be the most educational,” you explained.
She thought to herself for a moment, “How is it that you are able to do this?”
“To be honest,” you rubbed the back of your neck, “I haven’t fully figured out how either. I was able to show people events of the future and even see it myself but I lost that ability after my fathers power entered into me. Now, I can only see flashes, nothing solid to make out. I suspect that the dark side of me has yet to fully accept me after turning from slave to master, or perhaps there is an individual who is blocking me.”
“Is there someone powerful enough to do that? Based on your story, you should be one of the strongest force users to ever live. I can feel it coming off of you,” she retorted.
You sucked in a breath, “I’ve been suppressing myself in order to keep the balance of the galaxy. I suspect I will only be able to wield my true power at the time of the nexus event. Though what or when that is, I currently have no idea. Until then, I’m afraid I only have about the same level of power as your father, though with a few more... tricks for simplicity's sake.”
She pushed a button on the table which clouded the glass in the wall, visually cutting the room off from anyone else, “Very well, let’s just get this over with.”
“I appreciate your trust in me, you truly are filled with light, Leia Skywalker,” you said as you approached her.
“Enough with the formalities, I can sense your intentions as well, I know that you’re here to help us,” she finished.
“Apologies, I am unfamiliar with a more... lax way of speaking, your father had warned me of it before but it seems I must work on it,” you said as you reached your hands up to her head and closed your eyes.
As you reached out to her mind, you gave the force a command, let me live through her.
To the outside world, only mere moments had passed, though, you had lived years of memories through her. You maintained her privacy and only lived through events that had multiple people in it, the events of the war she took place in against the Empire, growing up with her family on Alderaan, the recent events of the war against the First Order. After you had seen what you deemed necessary, you released yourself from her mind and took a step back.
“I felt you inside... it was like reliving all of that once more,” she commented as she regained her bearings.
“I apologize if I submitted you to any past traumas, that was not my intention,” you apologized.
She shook her head, “Not at all, a fresh reminder was nice actually. Have you learned everything you’ve needed?” You nodded, “I should have enough information to go off of to live and fight.”
As you responded, your stomach growled and you realized the dull pain you were feeling was from your stomach.
“Hunger, something new?” she asked, understanding what was going on.
“I... think so, if this is any indication,” you chuckled nervously.
She gave you a kind smile, “I’ll set you up in some quarters and get you some food. Though, I’m afraid I cannot lie to my own people about your identity.”
You sighed defeatedly but she kept going before you could respond, “I will keep the personal details personal, but they have to know that you are a Jedi, and that you’re here to support the Resistance.”
“That’s acceptable, but please, no one can know my status as The Son, I do not wish to sow dissent or create any kinds of issues, Leia,” you conceded.
“I can agree to those terms, and by the way, it’s Leia Organa, but you’ll be calling me General Leia,” she corrected.
You smiled, “Apologies, I only learned of that after I saw your memories.”
She smiled in kind and walked over to open the door, “Welcome to the Resistance, Y/N.”

“It’s time to get up, my son.”
You woke to the sounds of birds chirping, your hand coming up to shield your eyes from the sun peeking into the grand room where you sat. Looking around, you noticed that the room had become somewhat vegetated with multiple birds having nests on the pillars.
“I wonder how long I have been gone for,” you mumbled to yourself as you got up.
Your entire body was slightly sore even through the force protection so you assumed you had been gone for quite a while. Spending a few minutes stretching, you felt much more limber and decided to walk outside, coming into view of the cargo containers Anakin had brought you.
“Right, a ship,” you reminded yourself.
Reaching out, you opened each container and raised the parts out of them and into the air. You had made a scan of Anakin’s ship when you had brought him back to it with the force and by doing so, understood each of its parts and how each of them connected, what their purpose was, everything. You hadn’t thought much of it at the time, but thinking about it now, you realized just how powerful your control was over the force, how natural it felt. Once again, my father amazes me. You commanded the force, build me a perfect ship. Your connection with the force was so deep it was nearly as if you were commanding your own subconscious, telling it, or rather the force, to use your knowledge to the fullest, know your desire to the capacity, and carry it out to the fullest extent.
The rather large pieces began to float towards each other, thousands of smaller pieces coming to support their melodic sway. As they began to assemble, you understood what was happening, the process, the connections, the purpose, as if they were pieces of your own body. Piece by piece, the ship began to truly assemble, a perfect craft in your mental image, utilizing every single part. Soon, you had a completely assembled ship floating above your head, though, there were still a few dozen pieces left that you were unfamiliar with. Choosing to put those aside for now, you floated them through the ship into a closet room you already understood you had designed. Looking back down, you sifted the containers aside and planted the ship.
You gave it a once over with a solid nod, appreciating its beauty and capacity. It was a mid-size ship, with a bridge at the front with a gunner position right below, gunner position on the rear with another up top. The gunner position in the front was equipped with blaster and ion cannons, the rear supporting with blaster and concussive mines, the top gunner position being a turbolaser. You could also tell from the underbelly that there was a tractor beam as well, docking stations on both sides, with a small magnet area for cargo. You hadn’t seen many ships other than Anakin’s, but this one seemed to be quite capable. You wondered where he had gotten such weaponry but chose not to focus on the past.
As you walked up to the ramp, it opened immediately as you got closer, as if it could sense that you were approaching. Reaching the ramp, you entered the ship to be met with a clear silver and gray finish on the walls and floors, all of the parts so perfect as if they were brand new giving the ship a shiny look. As you entered, you found the navigation of the ship to be quite efficient and simple, hallways with markers identifying where which room is on the walls, a few bedrooms, a cantina area, living space, multiple closets for all kinds of storage, a bridge with plenty of space for a pilot and co-pilot with 3-4 others. As you sat down in the cockpit area, the controls in front of you felt strange. You had never piloted a ship before this so you chose to let the force control your body instead. Calling upon those who came before you in the force, you closed your eyes and allowed their skills to envelop you, your hands moving to flick knobs and push buttons, grabbing at the controls as if it were natural. The ship took off and you opened your eyes to see yourself controlling the vehicle now. You were still a bit apprehensive since it was your first experience but as you looked at the same controls you were baffled at moments ago, you now understood them, or at least were beginning to.
“Now, I need to repress my force before I leave the pyramid and assess the galaxy,” you spoke aloud, as if the ship could hear you.
You had no idea what the outside galaxy looked like and what the balance of the force currently was so you reflexively suppressed your force to just a bit under what Anakin had, hoping it would make you blend in.
Reaching out with your mind, you willed the pyramid to open and you left with your ship, going out into the dark and mysterious galaxy of the unknown.
“Now, what do you have to show me? What event has brought me here?” you whispered as you closed your eyes and focused.
Hundreds of events flashed through your mind in seconds and you winced as they overtook you. Death, pain, suffering, domination, it was the only thing you could feel. Your heart hurt in your chest and your throat burned, tears welling in your eyes at the horrid sights that took your breath away. You could feel the deaths of millions, dying at the hands of the dark side. The Jedi, betrayed by their own army, all of their lights being snuffed out in the dark shadow casted by the Emperor. But then you felt joy, freedom, and love, the Rebel Alliance rising from the ashes of the Jedi to defeat the empire and bring the light back to the galaxy. You sighed in relief as you believed this was the time you were brought back to. If only you were that lucky... you were instantly pulled into a new memory of a dark shadow rising from the Empire, undead almost as if it waved its hand and created a new... order. The First Order. The darkness came back, millions of innocent people dead, worlds sent into chaos under the pretense of “order.” You were violently thrown from the vision as you came back to your ship. Your chest heaved with your breaths and your eyes were widened, your body in a complete state of shock. It took you a few moments to collect yourself but you repositioned yourself in your chair and calmed down.
Why wasn’t I shown the nexus event? Why am I suddenly awake now? How did this happen to the galaxy?
Your mind was flooded with your thoughts and more questions arose than answers. You sat and studied the vision and the information that it gave you. You knew that no one that you had met and known before were no longer alive, and what was worse, that it was Anakin that brought upon the fall of the Jedi in the first place. Though, you knew that this was no time to mourn the past, but to figure out what to do.
If I was brought back at this point, that means that the nexus event is either happening or will happen soon... if it is the latter, then I must assume that I’m necessary for this nexus event which is why I was woken up. I must find the current representation of the light and help them.
Once more, you reached out with the force, trying to find any sliver of light amongst the muck of the dark. It took a while but you managed to find a decently strong light source, on a planet very far away. You instinctively input codes into the hyperdrive and set off immediately on your course, not even knowing what the name of the planet was. As your ship entered hyperspace, the galloping blue and white streams appeared on the other side of the glass, as if you were flying through a tunnel. As you looked closer, you found yourself getting tired, your eyes closing as you couldn’t help but pass out in your chair.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
“My son.”
You opened your eyes to find your father standing in front of you, nothing around you but bright white.
“F-father?” your voice broke as you called out for him, not believing that you were truly seeing him.
His kind smile appeared on his face, “It is me, my son.”
You surged forward and planted yourself into his chest, wrapping your arms around him as tightly as you could.
He laughed and embraced you the same, bringing you the sense of comfort you never thought you could feel again, “It is good to see you, you look... well.”
He tousled your extremely grown out hair and picked at your wild beard which you laughed at, “Our hair never changed, we didn’t exactly have scissors.”
“It seems you have finally awakened, which means there is something you must do,” he pulled away a bit to address you.
You nodded, “I know, I’m already on my way to Leia Sky-”
He softly stopped you, “No, there is something else. You are correct, however you must first acquire your protection.”
You looked at him, confused, “My protection? Father, I do not understand.”
He gave you his fatherly look as he always did, “What was the one thing that Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Ahsoka had in common other than their connection with the force?”
You thought to yourself for a moment, “Their... lightsabers.”
He smiled, “Correct. They are the weapon of force wielders, and something that you need to protect yourself and those that cannot protect themselves.”
You shook your head, “But father, I am not a Jedi. Though, I am no Sith either. I am... something in between.”
“You are once again correct. You do not belong to either side of the force. However, you control both sides of them. You are a Jedi, you are a Sith... yet you are neither. You can feel it, deep inside, my child, you know what you must claim.”
You hummed in response as you felt a pang in your chest... kyber... kyber crystal.
“Kyber,” you whispered, “my crystals.”
Your father smiled and spoke, “Indeed, my son! Go claim what is yours and carve your path forward!”
The room boomed with his voice as the light blinded you-
You thrashed awake from your chair in the cockpit as you looked out to see the ship still in hyperspace. Though, moments later, the ship exited hyperspace and you were right outside of a green and brown planet. Looking down at the console, you saw that the planet was called Utapau. You were about to input a new direction to go get your kyber crystals first when you felt it.
Your crystals.
Somehow, while you were knocked out, the ship changed directions and went for your crystals instead. Smiling to yourself, you grabbed the controls and began piloting yourself to the surface. You felt a heavy presence of the dark side on the planet and decided to avoid the populated areas to make sure that no one would know you were there. As you came into view of the surface, you saw hundreds of sinkholes litter the deserted ground and felt that your crystals were deep underground. Most of the sinkholes were too small for your ship but you found a ridiculously huge one and began to pilot your ship down to the core of the planet. You were flying visually blind as you were simply descending but your scanners let you know after a few minutes that there was land a few hundred feet below you. After initiating landing gear and maneuvers, you landed the ship and opened the cargo ramp... to be met with a pitch black area you could barely see only from the lights of the ship.
“Oh, I forgot to bring a light source... this is a problem,” you spoke into the darkness.
Sighing, you turned around and went back to the ship, going to the cargo bay and opening one of the drawers. Thankfully, Anakin had brought you more than enough material for the ship, you almost thought that he just dumped a bunch of junk on you but the drawers in these cabinets were filled with all different kinds of tools. They were so small compared to everything else, you hadn’t even realized that literal tools and equipment were also fitted to your ship. Grabbing a flashlight, you turned to open the larger container in the bay area to come across a shipment of blasters. Or at least that’s what you thought they were.
Your father didn’t let you or your sister go to the outside world, ever. All you had ever known was the pyramid and random events you were able to see through the dark side. Most of what you knew of the world was surface level knowledge, and you were beginning to realize that you were basically a child in a new world.
You grabbed a blaster and looked at its craft and ingenuity, seeing the power cell and the barrel and beginning to understand how the gun worked. It was very similar to the lasers you had on the ship which made it easier to understand its functions.
Setting out, you pushed into one of the tunnels and closed the ship’s ramp behind you, shining your flashlight in the direction you felt the force pulling you in. As you walked along, there were other smaller cavities carved into the walls that seemed to go on endlessly. While you appreciated the light to see, it wasn’t what you were relying on, the force was guiding you. Through every turn, you felt the connection grow stronger as you drew closer to the crystals. After what felt like an hour, you had finally reached a large room with thousands of bright lights adorning the walls, floors, and ceiling. The entire room was filled with force energy and you found it difficult to understand which one was yours.
You dropped your flashlight and blaster, “How can I possibly choose from all of these?”
“It is not you who chooses the crystal, it is the crystal that chooses you,” a grainy older voice resounded through the room.
You instinctively ducked your head, “Who are you?”
You heard the same voice chuckle slightly, “Who I am, mmm not your concern, your crystals, yes?”
You raised an eyebrow in apprehension, “I suppose you have a point. Though you wish to help me find my crystals? And why is that?”
“Oh no, no no no. A Jedi you are, yes? Or no?”
“Yes, but-”
“But nothing!” the being giggled. “If Jedi you are, nothing in return you request, for helping others.”
You sighed in defeat, “I understand. What must I do?”
“Mmmm, let the crystal decide, we shall, hm? Sit, sit. Reach out with your feelings.”
You complied, sitting in a meditative stance and reaching out, letting every crystal in the room feel your presence.
“Goooood,” the voice affirmed.
You concentrated further, pouring your inner thoughts and feelings out to see which crystal would be interested. After a few moments, you heard a sharp ring, just for a moment.
Then suddenly you heard it again.
You felt movement, swirling, gathering, then... belonging.
You opened your eyes to see two crystals floating above your head. Pushing off of the ground, you were about to reach out for them before you felt a presence in front of you.
“Impossible,” you whispered breathlessly.
Force energy swirled in front of you and morphed into the shape of your sister, her kind and beautiful face gracing your eyes.
“Sister?” you asked, completely stunned.
“Brother, how good it is to see you once more,” your sister's voice graced your ears. “Though, I am afraid I am here only to do one thing,” she moved one of the crystals towards her open palm and gestured for you to reach your palm out for the other.
As the crystal floated above your hand, it suddenly began to shake and change color, a black hue enveloped the crystal and turned it into a deep black.
“As the dark was your nature, one half of your crystals, one half of you, will represent the dark,” she looked towards her palm which encouraged you to do the same. “Though my gift to you brother,” the crystal began to glow a radiant white, “is your rule over my light.”
The crystal had become a bright white, radiating a warmth that reminded you of her.
You looked back up at her as she placed the crystal into your palm beside the other to see her looking at you with a solemn smile, “I do not blame you for my death, my brother. I simply hope you may live the life I had lost in my place.”
She finished her words as her body dematerialized, her hand wiping the tear that fell being the last part of her you felt before she ultimately disappeared.
“Thank you, sister,” you whispered into the empty room before turning around and leaving.
You reached your ship soon and sat back down in the pilot’s chair, taking another look at your crystals before placing them on the center table and piloting yourself out of the sinkhole. As you exited the atmosphere, you input the code to the system that Lei Skywalker was on and set off to hyperspace.

A/N: Hello my loves! I have returned with a male reader series! This story is set in the most recent Skywalker trilogy! If you would like to understand how everything works (background info and context) or how the readers powers work, season 3 episodes 15-17 of the clone wars series can give you all of the context you need for the background info. Literally the first scene is written assuming you know the context so... apologies LMAO. HOWEVER, everything does get explained as the series goes on if you’re worried but still aren’t interested in going back and seeing the episodes. As always, I hope you enjoy!

“Father! It didn’t have to be this way!” you cried out, rushing over to your father that had stabbed himself in the heart.
“Yes, my child,” he gasped, “it did. You and I are tied together, and your strength runs through me. This way, I take your power.”
You no longer cared about that, “Please, don’t die father.”
“I always knew, there was good in you,” he grabbed you and pulled you close into a hug.
“I’m sorry father, I couldn’t control myself,” you sobbed. “I didn’t mean to kill my sister,” you were devastated at your own actions.
You could feel your father tense up as a lightsaber activated behind you, “Wait!”
Your father pulled away from you and you reared your head to look behind you, Anakin with his saber ignited. Turning back to your father, he looked deep into your eyes and you could see that he was making a realization about you, though what it was, you were unsure of.
“I don’t know how it took me so long to see, but I realize that your actions are not your own. You are governed by the dark and I will not allow my son to be a slave to evil,” he said with much more vigor than he should have had.
His body radiated for a moment before all of his energy was lost and he fell. Quickly, you managed to grab him before his body hit the ground and cradled him in your arms as you cried.
“Father!” you screamed out, overtaken by your grief.
You hadn’t noticed, but Anakin had deactivated his lightsaber and backed away, allowing you to share the moment with your father. Minutes passed, though it felt like hours cradling your lifeless father in your arms. After a moment, his body seemed to begin glowing and you thought it was because his life energy was moving on. Though, you were surprised to see that all of the particles that were emanating from your father then began assimilating into you, your own body being enveloped by the bright light.
You closed your eyes as you allowed the warm feeling of your fathers presence to wash over you, it felt like you were being wrapped in your fathers love. Though, the moment was much too short and soon ended, your fathers embrace falling into a dull slumber. You opened your eyes and found yourself to be completely different than you were before. While yes, you felt that your physical form was more... human, you felt different inside. Looking at your own arms and body, you no longer had a dark emanation, you looked... normal? On the inside, you felt a sensation you had never felt before, one so bright and warm, inviting and kind.
“What just happened to you?” Anakin questioned, reminding you that he was there.
You shook your head a bit and stood up straight, the words forming in your mind before you understood what you were saying, “My father’s life energy has passed into me. I now am the culmination of both his and my own power.”
“What does that mean?” he remarked, still a bit suspicious of you, rightfully so.
You gave him a smile... a genuine one, one that felt so uncannily natural yet something you were completely foreign to, “It means I am no longer a slave to the dark side. My fathers power has given me a... I suppose balance is the correct word. I am no longer consigned exclusively with the dark side,” you explained, understanding it yourself as you spoke it.
You could tell he was about to say something but raised your hand to stop him, “Allow me to quell any concerns. While the only thing I am used to is violence and anger, I am no longer dictated by forces such as those, I have gained my own persona in other words. I no longer wish to threaten you or your comrades and I am... sorry for everything that I have done,” you felt a bit weird as what you were saying was genuine but words like this had never formed out of your mouth before. As time passed, regardless of you conversing, your mind was forming new connections and expanding as a result of your power combined with your fathers, bringing you to a new conclusion. “I must leave. The balance has been disrupted, with my sister no longer... with us,” tears began forming in your eyes and you reached your hands up to wipe them away incredulously. Tears? Impossible. “And with my fathers power being transitioned into me, the balance has been temporarily thrown off, regardless of the fact that I now have my fathers power. I must be sealed away with haste, only able to return at a nexus event in the force... I’ll have to identify when the next one is.”
“A nexus what? What are you talking about?” his shoulders were no longer tensed, as he was visibly more at ease around your new presence.
“It’s nothing for you to concern yourself with, I only have one favor of you,” you responded.
You could tell he had more questions but he ultimately decided to drop it with a sigh, “It better not be to keep me here or anything like that because I’ve already made myself clear.”
You nodded, “Of course, I simply ask that you bring me a ship.”
His eyes widened at that, “Absolutely not! There is no way you are leaving this place.”
You sighed, “Look, Anakin. I am no longer an icon of the dark, no longer governed by their principles, I am my own person,” you thought to yourself for a second, “and to be honest, I like the light, now that I am able to experience it. I only need a ship so that when the time comes and I awaken, I will be able to traverse freely to where I need to go. I have no intention of world domination or bringing harm to anyone.”
Your explanation seemed to win him over, which could easily be attributed to the fact that the aura you radiated was pure and unadulterated.
“How do you expect me to do that anyways? You want me to let the Republic know that you’re here?”
You shook your head, “No. Whatever you do, you have to be discreet about it. Anakin, I cannot stress this enough, no one can know about my existence. With this place,” you motioned around you, “no one will be able to find me even if they tried, however, I would rather have it where only the smallest number of people know about me. You may let others know, but keep the number as small as you can, do you understand? I need a ship that can be fully functional even over decades of non-use, even if you can only bring me parts, that is perfectly fine, I can assemble it myself.”
You could see the gears turning in his head as he considered your request, “Alright, I can do it. I can’t get you a ship, too many risks, but I can get you parts for a ship. Is there anything specific you need?” You smiled again, the feeling of your cheeks rising still feeling foreign to you, but you couldn’t help what your heart had felt, after all you did to him, here he is jumping to help you. He really is a good person.
“I don’t need the best parts you can find, all I need are the essentials, hyperdrive, essential systems, etc. I specifically request enough material to build a ship large enough to house up to 5 people and material that is adequate. As for anything else, I leave up to whether you are able to acquire them or not,” you formally requested of him.
He nodded to himself for a bit before speaking up, “I think I can do that, give me two days.”
In your head you ran a simulation of what the climate of the world would become with you still in it so soon... two days? I can just about manage that.
“Very well, but it cannot be any longer than two days, if it is, we risk the entire world being thrown into an imbalance, and we can’t afford that now, can we chosen one?”
He cringed at the name you called him but responded regardless, “I should be able to get it done. I’ve got a few contacts. How will we be able to find this place again?”
You walked over and inputted codes into his wrist com, “These are the coordinates of the pyramid, I am now able to open and close it at will as my father did. I will move the pyramid there until you return.”
“Well, I’ve done crazier things,” he mutters.
You finished up the conversation and brought him to his ship where Obi-Wan and Ahsoka were, having a rather awkward conversation with the both of them as you explained the events of what had happened. After a short while, they all left, promising to speak nothing of what they had seen here, and you returned to your fathers citadel.
You gave your father a funeral and placed him into his tomb before paying a visit to your old tower, using the force to break the foundation and watch it come crashing down. “Let this be an official act of defiance against the forces that once held me prisoner. I control you now.”
After you had finished everything you felt you needed to do, you returned to your fathers... your citadel. Sitting down on the throne, you could almost smell your father once more and it threatened to bring tears to your eyes once more.
“I’m so sorry father,” you whispered into the empty room, holding your head in your hands as you cried.
After what felt like an eternity, you wiped your tears and sat down in a meditative stance, willing yourself to suppress yourself from the force. If you were to stay as you were until Anakin arrived, you had no idea what kinds of consequences would occur in the world.
Time Skip
“Uh... son? Hello?” you heard a familiar voice call out to you.
You were so deep in your meditation that his voice sounded far off, but after gathering yourself, you opened your eyes and were met with Anakin.
“Hey, I brought the parts you wanted, you ok?” he asked, his eyebrow raised in question.
You stood up to meet him face to face, “I am alright, I was simply suppressing myself until you arrived.”
“Why were- oh... right. By the way, is your name just ‘son?’” he inquired.
You smiled lightly, “My real name is Y/N. Y/N Y/L/N, ‘The Son’ was simply my role... something I no longer have.”
He nodded in acknowledgement, “Follow me.”
You followed to see large containers stacked in front of your citadel, reaching out with the force, you sensed ship parts within.
“You have done amazingly, I thank you for your assistance, especially after everything I have done to you.”
He shrugged his shoulders, “Any Jedi would do the same.”
You looked at him knowingly, “That’s not the truth and you know that. I really do appreciate everything that you have done. So much so that I believe that you require a gift.”
He looked at you with trepidation, “What do you mean?”
You walked over to him and reached your hands up slowly towards his head, “May I?”
He seemed suspicious, but made no moves to stop you, which you took as permission to grab his head in your hands. Reaching into his mind, you tried to find the source of his light and kindness, something very fond to him. After searching for a few seconds, you felt a tremendous amount of light coming from a specific person and after looking further, you realized it was his mother.
“Shmi Skywalker, your mother right?”
He recoiled slightly but remained in your grasp, “How did you know that?”
“She is the source of your light, she is truly incredible. Allow me to grant you your gift,” you closed your eyes once more and pulled him into a memory with you.
It was the brightest one he had and it was with his mother when he was a child. You chose not to include yourself as you wanted him to see his mother again with no spectators. After a few moments, he opened his eyes as well with tears beginning to fall.
“I had almost forgotten what she looked like, what she smelled like... thank you,” he whispered, his gratitude shining through his glazed eyes.
You smiled in return, “It was the least I could do, please accept my gift as I have accepted yours.”
He sniffles a bit and chuckles, “You know, the way you talk is way too formal, but thank you for the gift again.”
You cocked your head to the side and furrowed your eyebrows, “Too... formal?”
He chuckled a bit more and shook his head, “Don’t worry about it, it’s not a big deal. Anyways, this is all you needed right? With respect, I’d rather put all this behind me and never think of this again.”
You actually chuckled a bit yourself which surprised you, “Of course, may your life be filled with light and kindness, and I hope that you continue to protect those that cannot protect themselves, Anakin Skywalker.”
He nods, “Will I ever see you again?”
You shrug, “It’s possible if the nexus event happens while you’re still alive, but I do not expect that to happen in your lifetime.”
After a short while, he left and you closed the pyramid, willing it to move into the far reaches of the galaxy so that no one may ever find it. Returning to your citadel, you began to meditate once more. Reaching out with your feelings, you found control over the force to be completely natural, this is what father must have felt like when using his power, he was truly incredible. You reached out so far that you extended your force through the entire galaxy, assessing the current situation with the balance, and realizing that it was at nearly the breaking point. I have to go, right now.
After establishing a deep connection, you commanded the force around you to swell and encompass your body. First, I have to preserve my body until it ultimately wakes up, then I have to set the condition of my awakening to be at the next nexus event, that is the only opportunity I have in order to assimilate once more into the galaxy. After carrying out your commands, you felt yourself fall into slumber, a lure that would cut you off from the rest of the world.
I will live, and I will ensure that my fathers death was not in vain.

New Male Reader Series?
Hey everyone! I know I posted not long ago about a male reader my hero academia series which I had in the works, and STILL DO!! I just... kind of came up with this series too and I already have a bunch of chapters written so I was thinking I would start posting it soon as I have completed about 70% of the series so I'm pretty confident I will actually finish this one then I'll most likely go back to the my hero academia one then post that in the future.
BUT ANYWAYS SORRY THAT WAS PROBABLY A HARD READ ^
I'm writing a male reader x poe dameron series right now and I'm wondering if anyone would like to be added to the tags list when I start posting it!... Once I write a few more chapters to really get ahead of it as I'm probably only writing about one chapter every week/week and a half and I want to be posting two chapters a week so...
Will be tagging below and mainly posting this as it might go out into the web of tumblr and find some star wars fans that might want a series like this that don't know about my page seeing as I have primarily been an spn blog!
I'm going to be posting the summary of the series here with no context, the context will be provided once the series starts getting posted but for the star wars fans that might get it, you might get it! Lol

This 😭 is 😭 so 😭 cute 😭
And just reminded me of how lonely I am 😭😭
But also I love this it’s so cute 😭
Life Could Be A Dream
Franchise: Star Wars (but modern AU)
Pairing: Poe Dameron x male reader (reader's pronouns are he/him/his)
Word Count: 1.3k
Warnings: fluff, modern!AU, implied smut (scratch marks on Poe’s back, hickeys, mentions of nudity if you squint), fluff, established relationship, mentions of Poe being an F1 driver, no plot really just a sweet morning with Poe, did I mention fluff?
Summary: Poe always gets cuddly after a race; the more intense the race, the more he wants to be glued to your side. Yesterday's race was pretty crazy, but you’re not complaining.
A/N: This is ridiculously self indulgent, especially with the breakfast foods (I am a slut for a good serving of pancakes) also the inspiration and the song mentioned is Sh-Boom (Life Could Be A Dream) by The Sh-Booms, highly recommend listening while reading; for some reason I imagine Poe being a Formula One racer in a modern AU so voila
Tumblr media
You blink your tired eyes open with the sun peering through the curtains of the hotel room. It’s warm and welcome on your skin. A lazy smile drifts over your face. You stretch a little before curling up under the thick blanket again; it’s smooth against your bare skin, perfect for a morning like this.
You slowly roll onto your side, turning your back to the window. Your eyes land on your boyfriend’s sleeping form. Poe is snoring softly, his dark curls tousled and unkempt. He looks so peaceful. His broad back glows in the morning light, the duvet haphazardly covering the lower half of his body. There are faint red marks near his shoulders, reminders of last night. Even after the longest, most intense races, he still has some… pent up energy.
Careful not to wake him, you lean forward and press a gentle kiss between his shoulder blades. You then silently slip out of the bed, tugging on a clean pair of boxers. You’re grateful for the carpeting under your bare feet until you reach the cold tile of the bathroom. You brush your teeth, considering you can taste how bad your morning breath is, but you don’t bother fixing your messy hair. You wash your face with cold water to wake yourself up a little more, padding it dry with a facecloth. You look at yourself in the mirror, your eyes sliding over the hickeys on your neck and chest from Poe last night. Your fingers ghost over them.
After leaving the bathroom, you grab a shirt from last night. It’s either yours or Poe’s. You’re not sure, but you don’t really care all that much - it’s a shirt either way.
You wander to the kitchen, thankful the two of you had booked at an extended stay hotel; full kitchen with a big fridge, living space separate from the bed area; lots of space for you and him to stay for a while. You dig through the fridge in search of ingredients for breakfast. The two of you went out for groceries a couple days before his big race in Melbourne, so you had everything you needed to make a filling breakfast; Poe’s always hungry after a night like last night. You are too, quite frankly. You grab bacon, eggs and milk and put them on the counter, lightly kicking the fridge closed behind you. From the cabinets behind you, you collect salt, baking powder, white sugar, and a small bag of flour.
As much as you don’t like packing heavy when you travel for Poe’s races, you’ve brought it upon yourself to have some essentials so you aren’t eating out all the time. After the first few races, you pretty much put together a travel kit of cooking/baking supplies and other things you guys would usually have at home.
You grab a mixing bowl and a wooden spoon and begin mixing the dry ingredients together. You snag a normal bowl from the cupboard to mix the wet ingredients with a whisk. You then combine them together and leave it on the counter with a dishcloth over it, letting it rise. From the cabinets underneath the counter, you grab two pans; one for the pancakes when they’re ready and one for the bacon. As you set the pan on the stove to heat up, you hear shuffling from the bedroom area; Poe’s awake.
The pan warms quickly and you start laying bacon on it to fry. The sizzling meets your ears just as Poe appears out of the corner of his eye. You focus mostly on the bacon, but you can sense his presence. His arm snakes around your waist and he pulls your back against his warm, bare chest. He rests his chin on your shoulder.
“Good morning,” you say with a smile.
Poe hums, pressing a gentle kiss to your neck. “Morning, baby.”
“How’d you sleep?”
“Like a log, but last night was amazing…” He nibbles on your neck a little, tightening his grip around you. You chuckle, bringing your hand down to squeeze his. “Bacon?” Poe inquires, changing the subject and looking down at the pan in front of you. His chin rests on your shoulder, leaning his head against yours.
“And pancakes,” you add, gesturing lazily to the mixing bowl.
“Mmm, I love your breakfasts.”
“You love all my cooking. And baking, for that matter.”
“Because you, mi amor, are an absolute god in the kitchen.”
“You flatter me, darling.” You reach for the tongs to flip the bacon strips. “I’m assuming you’re hungry. You’re always hungry.”
“For your food, always.”
“Flirt.”
“I’m just speaking the truth here.” He presses a kiss to your cheek. “Want help?”
“I love you, but you can just sit there and look pretty for now.” You turn your head to fully kiss him. “I wanna cook for you.”
“You always cook for me.”
“Yeah, because, no offence, but you can’t cook for shit.”
“I’m a Formula One driver, not a chef.”
“I’m not even technically a chef.”
“You might as well be,” Poe replies, untangling himself from you. “You are probably one of the best cooks I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. And eating with. And, you know, everything else.” He kisses the back of your neck before stepping away to sit at the island, watching you fondly. “You sure you don’t want help?”
“Well, how about you set out the fruit from the fridge?”
“That I can do.”
As you get a plate out for the bacon, as well as a couple pieces of paper towel to catch the leftover grease, while Poe goes to the fridge. You feel Poe’s finger drag down your spine, sending a shiver through your body.
“Tease,” you murmur, looking at him over your shoulder. He smirks at you, blowing a kiss to you. “You wanna put some music on?”
“Absolutely.”
You transfer the cooked bacon onto the plate, then put more bacon on the pan. Poe shuffles around behind you, connecting his phone to the speaker.
Life could be a dream, life could be a dream
Do, do, do, do, sh-boom
A smile crosses your face with you hear the song and you turn to look at Poe. He puts his phone down on the counter. You both begin to murmur the lyrics under your breath.
“Life could be a dream. If I could take you up in paradise up above. If you would tell me I’m the only one that you love, life could be a dream, sweetheart, hello, hello again, sh-boom, and hopin’ we’ll meet again…”
“You look so good in my shirt,” he murmurs, coming up behind you again. He kisses your cheek, resting his hand on your hip. “I ever tell you that?”
“You’ve mentioned…” you reply, relaxing under his touch.
“I love when you travel with me,” Poe says. “Thank you for coming.”
“There’s nowhere I’d rather be, my love.”
Poe gently takes your chin in his hand to turn your head towards him. He presses a deep kiss to your lips. When he pulls away, he has a piece of bacon in his hand.
“Impatient?” You tease.
“It’s bacon. I’m hungry.”
You laugh when he takes a bite and his face lights up. “You’re cute,” you remark. His face goes red and he dips his head.
“Shut up.”
“No.” You tilt his chin up with your finger, pressing your lips to his. “You’re downright adorable, Poe Dameron.”
“You’re relentless.”
“You love me.”
“I adore you.”
You smirk. “I know.”
Some mornings, the two of you have to rush around, packing for another plane or prepping for another race, but not today. Poe’s got a free day, and he intends to spend every minute of it with you. Even if it’s just swaying in the kitchen, teasing each other. As long as he’s with you, he’s happy.
A/N: I just wanted a soft morning with Poe and the song had me in a fluffy mood so I hope y'all enjoy this because I know I did! Feedback is encouraged and appreciated! Have a lovely day y'all <3

THIS IS SOOOOOOO GOOOOOODDDDDDDD WAITTTTTTTTTT
Y’all if you need a good male reader read this immediately.
I love stories like this honestly. Just one scene plucked out of our fictional stories that really encapsulates the beauty of growing fondness and love. To be able to accurately depict that in such little words so concisely and delivered in a way that reads easy and also makes you feel giddy… ugh I love shit like this. READ THIS Y’ALL ESPECIALLY MY FELLOW MALE READERS
Flustered
Franchise: Star Wars
Pairing: Poe Dameron x male reader (oneshot)
Word Count: 1436
Warnings: swearing, implied smut, mentions of drinking/being drunk, hickeys, implied anal, flustered Poe (not a warning, just something to look forward to)
Summary: You had always had a crush on your best friend Poe Dameron, but for a long time, you never told him. You didn’t want to ruin the friendship you had. While he flirted with you sometimes, you always figured it was just him messing with you. So imagine your surprise when you wake up after a long night in the cantina. In Poe’s bed. In your underwear. With his shirt on.
A/N: A little draft I've had for a bit but never posted. First implied smut I've ever shared with the world, actually...
Tumblr media
You blink your eyes open slowly, feeling the sunlight bathe your face through a nearby window. The bed is warm and you don’t want to get up. You close your eyes again. You keep yourself curled up under the covers and inhale deeply. A familiar scent that isn’t yours hits your nose, which you find odd because you’re nose-blind to the smell of your room. You open your eyes again to observe your surroundings properly.
This isn’t your room.
In your room, there’s a bookshelf within your line of sight from the bed. Instead, there’s a chair with clothes on it; your clothes and someone else’s. You notice your pants on the floor next to the chair and realize you’re in your underwear. Your shirt is on the floor too. That doesn’t make sense… you’re wearing a shirt…
You pull the blanket down a little to observe the shirt you’re in. It’s Poe’s. You remember it because he was wearing it…
Last night.
The sound of beeping meets your ears. You roll onto your back and stare down at the end of the bed, at the source of the noise.
BB-8. Poe’s droid best friend.
Your eyes widen and you turn to look at the sleeping body next to you.
Poe, snoring softly. The blanket only covers from his waist down and he’s not wearing a shirt. Well, of course, he’s not wearing a shirt. You’re wearing his shirt. His dark hair is all over the place and you have to resist the urge to brush some of his curls out of his face.
Sorry, what were you thinking?
You have only a vague memory of what happened last night. Poe was bored and wanted to go to the cantina for a drink. He’d invited you to go with him, of course, and you said sure. You mostly went because you didn’t want to see him get into trouble. You were just trying to make sure he didn’t drink too much, or try something he doesn’t know or shouldn’t get into. Yeah, the cantina closest to the Resistance base is mostly safe, but there are visitors from other planets that aren’t as trustworthy as members of the Resistance.
You remember Poe barely leaving your side that night. Anywhere he went, he dragged you along with him. The two of you spent most of your time leaning against the bar, talking about this and that. You remember how effortlessly pretty he looked - how effortlessly pretty he always looks.
You hadn’t had much to drink at first, wanting to keep yourself as coherent as possible, but you’ve noticed that drinking always amplifies your feelings. Poe, on the other hand, was downing drinks as fast as the bartender would give them to him. He looked like he was trying to work up the courage to do something or say something, but all it seemed to do was get him drunk. He appeared flustered that night; mostly when he looked at you. When you had teased him about it, his face went red and he would look away.
A soft, tired groan pulls you from your thoughts. You look back at Poe, who’s started to wake up. Your heart starts beating a little faster. He’s scowling, but only because the sun is in his eyes. He may be awake but he clearly isn’t ready to be.
BB-8 beeps at the end of the bed and Poe frowns. His eyes are still closed.
“Y/N in my bed?” He grumbles. “I wish. You break a circuit last night?”
“Morning, sleepyhead,” you mumble teasingly.
Poe’s eyes fly open. He yelps in surprise and jumps so high that he falls off the edge of the bed. “Fuck!” He exclaims when you hear a thud; he hit the floor hard.
“Shit, are you okay?” You ask quickly, crawling across the bed and looking down at him. One of his hands is holding his head and the other is draped lazily over his stomach. He groans.
“Head hurts,” he murmurs.
“Well, you were drinking a lot last night.”
Poe scoffs. “I didn’t drink that much… did I?”
“Yes, you did, actually. I tried to stop you.”
“I didn’t listen, did I?”
“No, you did not.”
Poe sighs, pushing himself into a sitting position. It’s at that moment he realizes he’s in his underwear too. His eyes widen. He looks at you, looks at himself, then looks at you again as he tries to pull the blanket down to cover himself. You pull it in your direction at the same time; if he takes too much of it, he’ll see that you’re in your underwear too.
After a moment of tug-of-war, he stops, his eyes raking over your body.
“Is that my shirt?”
You let go of the blanket. “Yep.”
“Why are you wearing my shirt?”
“I have no idea.”
“If you’re so confused about it, then why haven’t you taken it off?” Poe asks.
“Would you like me to take it off?” You tease. You’re not sure what’s come over you. You’re just as confused as he is, you have no idea what happened last night, and here you were messing with him as usual.
Poe blushes red, carding his fingers through his hair.
“I… you… uh…”
“Am I making you a little flustered?” You smirk down at him.
Poe clears his throat, looking up at you. “No,” he says. His warm brown eyes tell you otherwise. You raise an eyebrow. He chews on his lip a little. “…Maybe.”
“Before we address that,” you say, “maybe we should address the bantha in the room?”
“Probably, yeah.”
“We’re in our underwear.”
“You’re in your underwear too?” Poe asks. If you didn’t know any better, you’d say he almost sounds excited.
“What, you want me to move the blanket and show you?”
“Sorry. Continue.”
“We’re in our underwear. Our clothes are over there. I’m in your shirt. In your bed. We were drinking. Something happened last night.”
Poe narrows his eyes. “What’s that on your neck?”
You frown, touching your collarbone. The fact that you’re in your underwear leaves your mind as you clamber out of the bed and slip into the bathroom, looking in the mirror. Sure enough, there’s a mark just above your collarbone. You pull Poe’s shirt off over your head and see a couple other similar marks over your torso.
“You gave me hickeys,” you say in a toneless voice, tracing your finger over the marks like they’re constellations.
You hear Poe scrambling to his feet, rushing to you. “I did what?” He asks, awe evident in his voice. His eyes widen when you turn to him. “Woah. I did that?”
“Well, who the else would it be?” You point out.
“Sorry.”
“Don’t be sorry,” you murmur, looking in the mirror again. “I kinda like them…”
“You… you do?”
“Well, I like who they’re from, so…” You meet his gaze in the mirror.
Poe’s eyes are wide and his tongue darts out to wet his lips. “I like who I gave them to.”
“Still feeling flustered?”
He chews on his lip again. “Absolutely.” He steps out of the bathroom for a second. “Hey, BB-8?” He says to his droid. “How about you go hang out with R2 for a while?” He lets BB-8 out of the room and immediately closes the door, returning to you. “Now, where were we?”
“Right about here, I think,” you say slowly, stepping towards him and gripping his hips. Your face is only a couple inches away from his and he gazes into your E/C eyes, his own being darker than usual, full of lust.
“Would you just kiss me already?” He whispers.
“You sure?”
Poe raises an eyebrow. “My ass hurts and you’re covered in hickeys, so I’m fairly certain we fucked last night. I’m pretty damn sure about a kiss.”
You grin. “Just making sure, baby.”
You pull him flush against you, pressing your lips to his in a slow, deep kiss. Poe drapes his arms around your neck, his fingers tangling themselves into your hair. His lips move against yours in perfect harmony, your grip on his hips tightening as the kiss continues. After a long moment, he pulls away, looking at you with hooded eyes.
“Can we do whatever we did last night again?”
“We don’t know what we did last night.”
“Then can we make some new memories of a… similar fashion?” His “innocent” gaze studies your face, his skillful fingers still playing with your hair.
A grin stretches over your face as your hands begin to roam his toned body. “Absolutely.”

Hey guys !! I wanted to reach out to my followers, mutuals, and everyone else who sees this post to ask for some help ! I want some male reader fics and I’m having trouble finding them myself so I was wondering if anyone knew anyone or any fic to recommend !
Disclaimer I hope this doesn’t ruffle any feathers because I want to ask this as respectfully as possible !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I want male reader fics that are well thought out, have good grammar and most importantly of all, make.sense.
I’ve been kinda struggling with this because in no way do I want to imply anyone is a bad writer or ANYTHING of the sort, but a lot of the male reader stories that I come across, which are barely any tbh, have plot points that make zero sense. I’m not going to get into the details of it but when I read fanfic, it’s to get away from reality and pretend I’m living another story, as I’m sure most people on here do as well (though I can’t say that with certainty). I used to be able to read female readers and do that but I just can’t anymore, I want to be able to experience stories from a gender that I identify with. However, when I’m reading a story and within 20 minutes of first being introduced to the love interest, trauma dumping on them, and suddenly we’re both in love, it makes it hard to keep myself in that reality.
Literally as I’m writing this I’m terrified that I’m wording something a certain way but I need to double down and make sure I’m being clear that even the mini story I just mentioned IS NOT A BAD STORY!!!!! It’s just not for my personal tastes in what I look for in fanfics. Everyone who writes, even those some call “professional” writers, all started somewhere and I do NOT want to discourage anyone.
So with all of that random train of thought blubbering out of the way.
Please, send me recommendations because I’m desperate lol. This post can even be used for other people looking for male reader stories by checking the comments or reblogs of people who might send some recommendations !! I love all of you, readers and writers equally.
The fandoms I personally would like recommendations for would be SPN, Marvel, basically anything to do with Chris Evans, Henry Cavill, and a hundred other people I don’t want to list out from various other shows lol.

Hiya
Would anyone be interested in a My Hero Academia series with a male reader paired with Endeavor? Or know anyone who would be? I've found the inspiration to write a story about it and I've already written like 5 chapters for it. Guess I'm mostly wondering if I should post it here and if people would actually wanna read it? I know most of my followers are spn girlies so it's a much different fandom lol.
Help me see if anyone would be interested in it?
And I don't mean people who haven't seen the show but knows of the character, I mean has actually watched it because mine is soaked in lore LMAO
