“Does it still hurt?” Normal says, tracing the outline of his burn scar. The touch is so careful and gentle, barely a noticeable caress, that it makes Hermie shiver.

“Not anymore,” he responds after a few seconds. “It feels… strange. I can tell it’s different from the rest of my skin, but it doesn’t hurt.” Normal’s fingers keep going up and down his face, and then they lower down his neck and to his shoulder, where they halt.

“Can you feel it if I do this?” Normal leans forward and places a kiss on his cheek, and Hermie feels his whole face burning, half with embarrassment, half with excitement. There is something about Normal that just feels… healing. Almost magical. He is pretty sure that even holding his hand could cure him on a particularly bad day.

So he does just that, intertwines their fingers and says: “I do, but this feels better.” And, as gently as he can, he cups Normal’s cheek with his free hand and pulls him into a kiss.

hello!! c: aw thank you so much!!! <3 i’m really glad to hear that you enjoy them! ⸜(｡˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡ ah okay! so i did write her as a sinner, but i left her sinner attributes and qualities ambiguous for two reasons: 1. they aren’t at all relevant to the stories/pieces (they add nothing to the plot/narrative/concept and aren’t necessary information), and 2. since she’s meant to be a (self)-insert, i wanted to leave specifics vague so anyone could fill them in and construct those finer details themselves. with that being said, you’re more than welcome to interpret her as a human if you’d like to!

she technically does have a backstory that i keep in mind while i write her because she’s me and modelled after my own self-ship with alastor, which is: she ended up at the hotel because she’s one of angel’s drug addict porn star friends, and she is absolutely smitten with alastor the very moment she meets him—instantly obsessed, entirely enraptured, ready to devote herself to him, to worship him in every sense of the word, right then and there...all without a contract. it is a very primal reaction, a powerful, almost innate draw towards him.

and alastor, having never experienced such intense, purely authentic devotion, becomes kind of addicted to it—infatuated with it. it’s obsession on the purest level, although he does eventually grow to feel genuine compassion for his pet too. but what really draws him and fosters his own intense feelings of infatuation and obsession is her unwavering devotion, her wanting and willingness to serve him no matter what. he becomes addicted to it and to the power it grants him.

as for tips, what i can tell you is that writing is just like any other skill — it gets better with practice, if you want to write better you HAVE to read more !! just find your writing style and practice as much as you can + never compare your works with anyone else because you have your own pace when it comes to writing,,

i guess expand your vocab as much as you can, try to balance the difference between showing emotions and telling feelings. listen to music for inspo !! because it helps me ^^

I'm not an experienced writer either and i have been writing for less than a year but i hope these help you !! remember to appreciate and enjoy your writing because that's what it's all about <3

Honestly, while I do enjoy reading some good smut every now and then, I've always been more interested in the fluffy, hurt/comfort-esque genre of fanfics. And for the exact same reasons you described as well! I love to read fics whenever I want to just relax and feel safe and warm, but with the overwhelming surge of pwp smut and overly strong relationship dynamics in a lot of fics, I was having trouble finding anything that would suit my tastes lately. And so, I decided to start writing my own stuff in hopes that it would reach people with the same preferences.

I wasn't sure if many people would be interested at first, considering how scarce smutless stories seem to be sometimes, but the support I've been receiving has been nothing but incredible!! Whenever I hear how my fics make others feel all safe and comfortable, I genuinely can't feel happier. It's one thing to have people read your work, but having them enjoy it exactly for the same reasons you're writing it is amazing.

So really, thank you so much for your message, and I hope you'll like the continuation of my previous fic that's coming out tomorrow <3
