*:・゚✧*:・゚✧ love language (verse v); s.g.
synopsis: it's utahime's birthday and you play spin the bottle... bonus, you're tipsy! content: canon divergence (teen!gojo era), fem!reader, hopeless romantic gojo, underage drinking, seven minutes in heaven (probs done wrong? idk), semi-first kisses, not beta read (sorry for any errors!) note: here's another one shot for my gojo anthology series! I found out it's utahime's birthday (2/18) so I managed to pull something together for this lil series (happy birthday utahime)! wanna be tagged? lmk in the replies!
"Happy birthday, Utahime!" Shoko exclaimed, wrapping an arm around the dark haired girl, clinking her beer with hers as the two chugged. There was an obvious buzz in the air, not only them, but everyone else. Mei Mei managed to get a private room where no one would question what was going on inside, seeing as some of the attendees were underage—yourself included. Your interest had always been piqued by it, this not being the first time your friends had beer around you. However, this was your first time having it... And you weren't the only one.
"Who would've thought you were a lightweight," Mei Mei piped as she nudged Gojo with her shoulder. "You never bothered to drink with us before, what's changed your mind?" Smirking at him, already knowing the answer, the older woman gazed at the white haired boy as his cheeks burned a bright pink. His eyes shifted in your direction—where you had been huddled up with the birthday girl and Ieiri. "Oh, trying to impress someone, huh?"
"Shut up," Gojo mumbled, rubbing his cheeks as his body slightly swayed. "I didn't want to be a party pooper..." Eyeing you as you laughed, Satoru felt his heart race faster than it ever had in his life. He blamed it on the alcohol. "It tastes like shit."
"Then why do you keep drinking it?" Geto asked, now settled beside his best friend. "You hate beer, the first time you tried it at Shoko's birthday was enough to stop you."
"It's because he's trying to impress little miss sweetheart over there," Mei Mei nudged her head in your direction. Suguru looked over, not surprised that he was doing this just to look cool in front of you.
"She's not gonna care if you hate it, Satoru," Suguru nudged him. "This is her first time, too."
"That's exactly... why," Gojo hiccuped. "If she can do it, so can... I!" He nodded, lifting his bottle to take another swig. Instantly hissing at the taste, squeezing his eyes shut as he shook his head, Geto laughed beside him before patting his back. "I'm trying to find a way to enjoy this but, god it's aw—"
"Satoru!" You exclaimed, waving at him before stumbling over. Falling to your knees in front of him and smiling wide, waving your own bottle before him. "This is really good, right?" You asked, realizing he had chosen the same beer as you.
"Y—" choking on his words, Suguru smacked his back. "Yeah! To— Totally!"
Giggling, you made your way beside him as Mei Mei crawled away to sit with the other girls. "This is so much fun... what a great party," you beamed, leaning your head on his shoulder. Gojo grew stiff, grip on the bottle tightening as his free hand clutched onto his knee. Geto sat there with a smug grin, an idea coming to mind as his focus shifted towards the empty bottles.
"Hey, I've got an idea," he spoke up, moving onto his knees to grab an empty bottle. "Let's play spin the bottle, hmm?"
"Yes!" Utahime nodded, tugging on Shoko's sleeve and waving for Mei Mei to move over so they could form a circle.
"That'll be fun!" You nodded after lifting your head from Gojo's shoulder, grabbing his wrist so he could join you.
He wasn't sure if it was the liquid courage, or maybe he was hyper aware, but you were being more touchy with him. Normally, you kept things cordial, constantly smiling or laughing with him as he was the one finding ways to touch you... Now with the tables turn? His heart was basically at the pit of his stomach, slightly trembling as you sat practically thigh to thigh with him.
"Okay, let's do truth or dare," Suguru said as he settled the bottle, "whoever it lands on has to answer. Got it?" Seeing everyone nodded, the dark haired man grinned as he eyed his best friend, who basically looked like he was disassociating from the world.
"Let's go!" Utahime exclaimed before clapping.
"Birthday girl has the honor," Suguru nodded as Utahime beamed before reaching over to spin the bottle.
Everyone watched with curious eyes, and like that, one by one everyone took a turn to spin the bottle. Most answered with truth, only to earn an annoyed groan from Mei Mei saying how things need to change up.
Spinning the bottle, Mei Mei smirked as it landed on Gojo, "truth or dare, blue eyes."
Gulping, he eyed everyone as they eagerly watched him. Sucking in a sharp breath, he sat up, "dare."
"Finally," Shoko mumbled as Utahime stifled her laughter.
"Perfect, I dare you to play seven minutes in heaven with cutie over there," Mei Mei nudged her head in your direction. "No take me backs, get in there," she pointed at the tiny supply closet behind the two of you. Gojo looked over with hesitation as you blushed.
"Okay!" You nodded, standing up and grabbing his hand to join you.
He felt like he had no control over his body, following you along the way and nearly tripping over his own feet as you practically shoved him inside once opening the door. Watching as you followed inside, shutting the door behind you as you were pressed against one another, Satoru held his breath. Looking down at you with wide eyes as your own looked up at him, hooded, he felt his heart thudding against his ribcage.
Pressing your hands against his chest, you smiled up at him. "We've got seven minutes in here..." you said.
"You— you think they'll make us... stay that long in here?" He stuttered as you shrugged, only to shyly look away.
"I hope so..." you admitted, nibbling on your bottom lip.
Eyeing you and wanting nothing more than to touch you, Gojo clenched his fists at his sides before throwing his head back. His mind was racing, thoughts rushing around as he felt not only your hands on him, but your whole body. It took his entire being—and willpower—to fight the blood rushing towards a place it shouldn't be. Not in a moment like this. Even if it was meant for that. "You... Uh..."
"Hm?" You looked up at him as he lowered his focus to meet yours.
"N— Nothing, heh..." he awkwardly looked away, lifting his hand to rub the back of his neck.
"Satoru..." you spoke up.
"Yeah?" He mumbled.
"Please look at me..." you begged but he stubbornly kept his eyes on the wall beside him. "Toru..." you quietly spoke as the man shivered at the sound of his nickname. "Please..."
Feeling your hands snake their way up to his face, you gently turned his head to look at you. "I— I—"
"At a loss for words?" You tilted your head, teasing him as he blinked. "Can I kiss you?"
Feeling his heart sink as you gazed up at him with lazy eyes, Gojo took in deep breaths, "you— you want to... kiss me?" He asked, gulping.
"I wouldn't ask if I didn't want to..." you nearly whispered, causing Satoru to shiver yet again. The feeling of your nails gently caressing his skin as you didn't bother to look away, Gojo squeezed his eyes shut. How were you being the bold one? How did you have the power to always turn him into mush? Sure, you had liquid courage, but even when you weren't tipsy you had him so easily wrapped around his finger! "Toru?"
"Yes," he nodded.
"Yes... I can?" You asked as he nodded again.
"Please..." he whispered, begging. He knew this wasn't the right time to get his first kiss from you (or ever) but he was so desperate and so needy. He should've said no, should've said another time. However, he was a teenage boy. He didn't entirely use common sense...
Tiptoeing as you tugged him down gently, hands moving to the back of his neck, your lips pressed against his. Feeling his heart in his throat as he gazed at your closed eyes, Gojo's shaky hands settled on your hips as he kissed you back, indulging in this (what felt like) once in a lifetime opportunity. Surely neither of you would never forget.
"So, how was it?" Shoko asked as she sat beside you on a bench, enjoying a pair of strawberry milk boxes during your break from training.
"How was what?" You tilted your head.
"Your seven minutes in heaven with Satoru," she chuckled, only to earn a confused look from you. "Y'know, last night?"
"Seven minutes in heaven with Satoru?" You asked as she nodded. "I don't remember that..."

Tumblr media
JING YUAN
“Hey.” Your employer briefly knocks at the door of your office to make you aware of his presence before walking up to your desk.
“Hello, sir. Anything the matter?” You inquired carefully, because somehow your gut feeling told you that he was about to tell you something you wouldn’t like.
“Yes. I came to tell you that the vacation day you entered for tomorrow… Unfortunately, you won’t be able to take it anymore.”
“Wh-what? Why?” You ask exasperated. You had booked that day off months in advance because you and Jing Yuan wanted to spend your birthday together.
“I know this is really short notice, but Mei came to my office earlier and it’s her birthday tomorrow. Surely you don’t mind coming to work tomorrow so someone else can celebrate their birthday, right? We’d do the same for you.”
Your boss tapped your desk twice before turning around again to leave, not even waiting for your reply.
The knot in your throat became tighter and tighter and all you wanted was to yell after him that it was your birthday as well tomorrow. Yet, somehow you didn’t have it in you to correct him, also because you could feel that you would burst into tears the moment you opened your mouth again.
You bit back a sob as you could feel the burning sensation in your eyes and some tears welled up. You tried to calm yourself by repeatedly telling yourself that it couldn’t be helped and that your birthday was just another day of the year anyway. No need to make a big deal about it. You could always spend time with Jing Yuan on another day as well. Right?
You learned your lesson and will just explicitly mention that you will take time off for your birthday next year, something that you had failed to do this year and that had caused this situation in the first place. Your boss could’ve checked your employee card and would’ve seen that it was your birthday as well, but he, too, had a lot on his plate and it couldn’t be helped anymore.
Once you were back home from work you slammed the door shut behind you and quickly took out your phone to open the chat between you and Jing Yuan.
‘Need to cancel our plans tomorrow. I’m sorry. Let’s do something on another day.’
You typed and hit send faster than you were able to process before turning your phone to silent mode and throwing it between the pillows of your sofa.
The frustrations of the day began to wash over you all at once at that moment and you could feel the lump in your throat grow to a size that made it hard to breathe. And no matter how much you tried to swallow it down, the tears that started to spill were inevitable. You were angry, frustrated, and just wanted to yell at everything and everyone. Because once again you felt invisible. Like no one in the world cared about your feelings and all you ever had to do was to accommodate everyone else. You hated it and you hated that the feeling was so awfully familiar.
You don’t even know how long you had been crying when the sudden ring of your doorbell pulled you out of the hole of self-pity you had dug for yourself.
You quickly wiped the tears out of your eyes and checked your face in the mirror beside the door. Your puffy, red eyes would betray that you had been crying to whoever was standing in front of the door right away.
So, you contemplated whether it was a good idea to open at all or if you should simply act like you weren’t at home. Because you didn’t really want to see anyone in this state either. Or, god forbid, have them ask if everything was alright. Because, frankly, nothing was alright right now.
“I know you’re there. Open up.”
The familiar voice rang through the door causing you to perk up. Jing Yuan sounded worried. You assumed that he had probably tried to message or call you and you didn’t pick up because you had set your phone to silent.
Your hand wandered in the direction of the doorknob, which you hesitantly rested it on, still unsure whether to open or to play dead.
“Please… let me in.” He pleaded in a way that almost made your heart shatter. So, with much hesitancy, you decided to open the door.
You immediately saw Jing Yuan’s brows furrow when he looked at your face. Pushing past you inside, he closed the door and immediately took you in his embrace.
“Tell me what happened.” He urged sympathetically, gently stroking your cheeks with his thumb.
Under sobs, you began recalling the events of the day, ending it with a full-on crying session by the moment you stopped talking again. You seriously wondered if he even understood anything you were trying to tell because of how much you had started sobbing throughout it.
He hugged you tightly, wiping away your tears once again, and reassuring you that everything would be alright. At the moment you didn’t quite see how, but he always remained right, so you simply nodded against his chest.
Once you had calmed down a bit he briefly excused himself, reassuring you that he would be right back with something that would cheer you up. And not even forty minutes later he was back with two paper bags filled with your favorite street foods and two cups of Immortal’s Delight.
No matter what, he always knew what he needed to do. While you got some plates and chopsticks out of the kitchen you suddenly heard the familiar ringtone of your phone coming out of the living room.
Confused you walked over to where you had thrown it between the pillows. You could’ve sworn you had put it on silent earlier, so why was it ringing now?
You fished your phone out and checked the brightly illuminated screen.
Boss.
Why was he calling now? By the Aeons, you sure as hell had enough of him today already.
“Hello?” You picked up questioningly.
“A-ah. It’s good t-that I reach you. Uhm– actually I-I wanted to to tell you that you don’t need to come to work tomorrow. You get your day off. M-my bad. Heh.” He was stammering and sounded more nervous than an alerted Warp Trotter.
“Uh…okay. Thank you.” You paused, walking over to the kitchen, holding your phone to one ear, glaring daggers at Jing Yuan who was happily chewing away at some gyoza and questioningly raising an eyebrow at you.
“Yeah. Uhm… e-enjoy your birthday tomorrow. Oh, and I-I happened to check our yearly employee evaluation and I’m happy to in-inform you that you’re getting a raise. Come to my office on Friday. O-Okay… bye.”
You didn’t even manage to get a word in before he hung up again. One thing was certain though, something smelled awfully fishy here, and it wasn’t the food Jing Yuan had brought in earlier.
“Who was that?” He asked innocently despite knowing full well who had just called.
“What did you do?” You asked accusingly, crossing your arms over your chest at which he just raised an eyebrow.
“Me? I didn’t do anything.” He acted completely clueless but the twitch of the corner of his lips betrayed the truth.
You knew the influence he had aboard the Luofu. He was the General of the Cloud Knights after all. Never did you expect him to use that influence for such matters, however.
“So… does this mean I can stay the night and the plan to go out tomorrow is back on the table?”
This man was unbelievable.
Tumblr media
DAN HENG
“Happy Birthday!” The Astral Express Crew gratulated you in unison.
Himeko placed the cake they got for you on the table in front of you while March readied herself to snap a picture. Mr. Yang stood by and watched with crossed arms and a smile on his face. And Pom-Pom was attempting to admonish everyone to not get any burn holes in or crumbs on the red leather bench.
March began counting down from three waiting for the perfect moment to snap a picture of you blowing out the candles. Followed by claps and more birthday wishes from everyone once they were extinguished.
Well, everyone aside from Dan Heng.
He was silently sitting in an armchair away from everyone simply typing and scrolling away on his phone. He hadn’t even looked up once for hours now, let alone engaged in any group activities.
You told yourself you wouldn’t let it sour your mood, it was your birthday after all. So if he wanted to brood, let him brood.
However, when you tried to hand him a plate with a piece of cake and he just declined the offer with the excuse of not being hungry right now, not even daring to look at you, you couldn’t help but wonder what was up with him.
As you sat back together with the others you occasionally found yourself stealing glances at Dan Heng to see if you could read anything on his face. But it stayed the same. Expressionless and completely unreadable.
Eventually, after you came back from getting yourself and Mr. Yang a cup of coffee, you found the chair he had sat on all evening empty.
Was something wrong? Did he have a grudge against you?
It didn’t go unnoticed by the others either that you grew quieter and quieter as the evening progressed.
March was the first one to address the elephant in the room.
“It bothers you that Dan Heng didn’t join, right?” And she couldn’t have hit the nail more on the head even if she tried.
You hummed in agreement, taking another sip from your coffee. You looked back to the empty chair for a brief moment, while a thousand questions popped into your head once more.
Ever since the Crew had come back from the Luofu he had been more quiet than usual. He barely even spoke a word with you and kept locking himself up in his room for days on end. It would be a lie if you said it didn’t bother you. Because with every day that passed you wondered more and more why he was acting so differently.
“Don’t worry so much. He’s probably just grumpy about something. He’ll be back to normal in no time.” March reassured with an infectious smile, slinging her arms around you in a quick hug. “Now, we should do something about this gloomy mood. It’s your birthday! What do you want to do? More cake? Dancing? Anything?”
In all honesty, you didn’t really feel like partying as long as Dan Heng’s weird behavior was at the back of your mind constantly. Because no matter what you were doing, you kept thinking about it sooner or later again anyway.
“Did… something happen on the Luofu?” You finally decided to ask.
March seemed to be taken by surprise by your question before immediately and hectically waving off that anything had happened. Unfortunately for her, she could be read like an open book. So, you immediately knew she was lying. But why?
What happened on the Luofu?
You nodded, accepting that you wouldn’t get any answers from her tonight, and excused yourself, telling everyone that you would be heading to bed now.
On the way to your room, you saw that Dan Heng’s door wasn’t closed entirely and a streak of light from the inside illuminated the hallway of the cart. You couldn’t help but steal a glance inside, but you found the room completely empty.
Wondering where he went you walked straight past your room, and through some other carts until you eventually reached the observatory and the very last cart.
And this is also where you found him.
He was sitting next to the telescope at the desk, writing something down. When you knocked on the doorframe to make him aware of your presence, he perked his head up to look at you. Yet somehow he immediately almost looked alert.
“What are you doing here?” His voice sounded panicked, almost accusatory.
“I came looking for you when I saw your room was empty–” You began to explain, confused about the hostility in the air.
“Did you go in?” He interrupted frantically, jumping up from his chair with a shocked look in his beautiful turquoise eyes.
“I–what? No!” You exclaimed in disbelief. “What is going on with you?”
“It’s nothing.” He once again waved it off, as usual. And his demeanor left more questions than answers every time he did just that.
“Nothing? As in nothing you want to tell me? Nothing why you keep avoiding me? Nothing why you keep diverting the topic whenever I try to ask about the Luofu mission?” You huffed in frustration. You could feel anger that stemmed from weeks of confusion and unanswered questions well up in the pit of your stomach, making you ball your fists at your sides.
Dan Heng exhaled heavily, diverting his gaze to the ground, rubbing the back of his head with his hand.
“Just… talk to me.” You demanded pleadingly.
He took a few steps in your direction, breathing heavily. And before you knew it the air around him began to glow in such a bright blue light, that you had to shield your eyes in order to not get blinded. Sparkles began to form, making the room ooze with magic you had no idea existed.
When the light finally dimmed again, you lowered the hand you had held in front of your face. But what was in front of you exceeded even your wildest imaginations. Long, silky black hair that faded into dark blue cascaded down Dan Heng’s shoulders, crystalline horns had grown on his head, a translucent dragon tail had formed behind him, and icy blue, glowing eyes were staring right at you.
You wanted to say something – ask so many questions that were burning at the back of your mind, but every word you were desperate to speak died on your tongue. You were too stunned to speak.
He nodded, dropping his eyes, and pressed his lips into a thin line with a defeated look on his face.
“There. This is why I didn’t tell you… why I’ve been acting the way I did. Because I was scared you would think I’m–”
“Beautiful.” You muttered under your breath faster than your brain could process that you just said it out loud.
“What?” He asked in disbelief.
“You look… beautiful.” You almost choked on your words, still in disbelief over what you just said. You had never acted on your feelings for Dan Heng because you didn’t know if he felt the same for you and in fear of making things awkward. But there was no going back from it now.
“Like… I truly mean i–mphh”
Before you knew it he had pulled you in by your waist, uniting your lips with an intensity that knocked the air out of your lungs and made you feel lightheaded.
“Oh god, I-I’m so sorry. I just– I didn’t mean to–” He stammered in panic immediately after breaking off the kiss and realizing what he had just done. Lifting his hand up to his lips shaking his head.
“Please do that again.” You immediately cut him off, pulling his hand away from his face and slinging your arms around his neck while pulling him closer. Your heart was practically beating out of your chest at this point and your face felt like it was burning up.
You could smell the bitterness of the coffee he had been drinking all evening on his breath and the familiar scent of his aftershave. Because despite everything, he was still Dan Heng. Your Dan Heng. The one you had grown to love. And nothing was ever going to change that.
And with one last adoring look into your eyes, he pulled you in once more in a silent declaration of love.

Would this platonic yandere let you leave?
Tumblr media
Explanations below/Click photo for higher res
DBK and PIF simply don’t see any reason to let you leave. If you want something, they can just have a bull mech get it for you. Besides, why would you want to go anywhere? You have your adoring and powerful parents right beside you. There’s no need to leave their side.
Chang’e might seem poorly placed, but she lives on the moon. It’s not that she wants to keep you locked away or isolated, but she genuinely cannot let you go anywhere. Hers is out of necessity, not choice. To be fair, you get to explore the whole moon and can even visit her factories, you aren’t locked in a tiny room or anything.
———————————————————————
Wukong, as long as you have some kind of fighting skill, will let you venture into the city of Megapolis. He’ll fly you there on his cloud and “drop you off” before using the 72 Transformations to follow close behind you, ensuring that no dangers draw near. If you catch him, he’ll very unconvincingly write it off. “Stalking you? Pshaaaw! Naw, what gave you that idea? I just came here to, uh, buy some stuff!”
Macaque will tail you from the shadows. There’s not much to say. He’ll drag you into the darkness with him if he senses any danger, and chuckle when you get angry about being followed. Expect something like: “I’m just looking out for you, kid. You should be grateful, really.”
Huntsman takes pride in his fighting, tracking, and hunting skills, and following after you is just a non-lethal combo of the last two. His ego swells with each step he takes, just out of your sight. And if anyone tries to hurt you… those skills will go back to being lethal very quickly.
Peng will watch you from the skies, keeping a close eye out for you, ensuring that you both keep out of trouble and behave appropriately. If the need arises, they’ll swoop down and interfere. Most likely, it’s to ward away a troublemaker. Though, they’ll be very proud if you defend yourself. Their little nestling, growing up too fast.
———————————————————————
MK wants to go where you go! If it’s somewhere loud and exciting, all the better! Even if you intend to head somewhere less his style, like a library, he’ll still hook his arm around yours and follow you along. (He’ll enjoy that trip a lot more if you read out loud to him.) Don’t think you can just up and ditch him, either. He’ll use his Gold Vision to pinpoint your location immediately, and race off to join up with you again. From there on, he’ll make sure to keep a tight grip on you, ensuring that you won’t get “lost” again.
Azure Lion fancies himself your defender and guardian, and hates the thought of you being unhappy nearly as much as he hates the thought of you getting hurt. He tries to be reasonable and fair with you, which includes letting you leave whatever serves as your shared dwellings. Only when he’s beside you, of course. He trusts himself to strike down any threat to your well-being, and has the power to follow through on that promise.
Ne Zha has lived through many fights and battles, and understands that danger can come from even the most unsuspecting of places. With this in mind, he’ll accompany you to wherever you wish to go, surveying the surrounding area as he walks with you. And he will be bringing his spear. He’d honestly rather not use it, but he’s playing it safe. Woe to any security guard who tries to separate it from him.
———————————————————————
Mei canonically has trackers on all her friends. This is not something she sees as a breach of privacy or overstep of personal boundaries. It’s just something everyone wrote off when they learned about it. So if anyone finds out or you try to tell one of your friends, they’ll probably just shrug it off as “classic Mei” and move on with their day.
Red Son is not a fool, thank you very much! He knows that tailing you everywhere you go will only upset and drive you away (he learned that the hard way), and that he can only tag along so many times before it gets suspicious that he always shows up right when you’re about to do something or go somewhere (learned that the hard way too). So he decides to slap a tracker onto your phone and call it a day, like there’s nothing wrong with that. Since the tracker isn’t discreet at all, you’ll pop it off and throw it away. Expect him to get start getting creative after that. (He just goes to ask Mei for help.)
Syntax is a practical and rational man. He knows that stuffing you away inside will only breed resentment, but that letting you roam freely runs the risk of you escaping from his grasp. Wiring a tracker to the inside of your phone solves both problems. He’ll also hack into the camera so he’ll always be able to see what you’re doing. You’re granted free reign to wander and explore as you please (within the bounds of the city) all while under his careful surveillance.
———————————————————————
Pigsy just wants you to be responsible, really. As the de-facto father figure in your life (in his own eyes), he needs you to be honest and forth-coming with him, please. If you just tell him the specifics of your outings, he won’t argue or complain, and it saves you one hell of a lecture. He might try to warn you away from something or someone he personally thinks of as shady or dubious, and if you don’t listen, he’ll tag along personally. If he’s too busy for that, expect him to send MK with you instead. And MK will spill each and every detail when asked, so you’d best not do anything reckless or dangerous.
Sandy is a kind man, even with obsession plaguing his heart. He wants the best for you, with every fiber of his being. The absolute worst this man would ever do is grind a few sleeping pills into your tea. Genuinely, he would go no further. He wouldn’t dream of disrespecting your personal autonomy. He just asks you very sweetly to let him know what you’ll be doing. If you get tired or upset or hungry, call him! He’ll come pick you up! Stay safe and text him when you get there! He’ll always look out for you. No matter what.
Tang isn’t really the sort to brute force his way through life. He’ll gently nudge and pester you into maybe downloading a location-tracing app, even offering to get it for himself as well. “It’s the only thing that can put my fragile heart as ease”, he’ll tell you, dramatically holding a hand to his hand as he sighs. He’ll wear away at your resolve until you finally buckle and download the damn thing. To be fair to you, he’ll also download it and see if he can’t get a few of the others to do the same. It’ll be less suspicious if he phrased it as “we all do dangerous things very frequently, and should be looking out for each other”.
Yellowtusk is a rational and composed man. If you act maturely and responsibly, he’ll lighten up on certain restrictions he has set in place for you. If you’re headed somewhere new he’ll come with you to make sure you don’t get lost, though. Being rational doesn’t make he doesn’t worry, after all.
———————————————————————
Tang Sanzang despises the idea of restricting your freedoms, and wouldn’t dare disrespect you by saying that you aren’t capable of caring for yourself. He’ll happily see you off for the day, and then take a few minutes to pray for you and your safety. Be wary, though- if you aren’t back by the end of the day, he’ll gather up his fellow pilgrims and set out to find you. Getting away from him is easy enough. Getting away from the demons that loyally follow him, who are happy to drag you right back to his side? There’s just no chance.
Ao Lie probably sits in front of the door and waits for you to get back haphazardly packs you a bag of supplies to take with you, even if you’ll only be going to a nearby merchant’s store. He’ll be sure to tell you that “It’s only a days worth, you know! So be sure to come back soon, please!” He, much like the monk who rides on his back, genuinely trusts and respects you. He isn’t going to follow you from afar, or browbeat you into bringing him along. He’ll just wait. And wait. And he’ll keep waiting until night falls, at which point he’ll inform Tang Sanzang that he’s going out to look for you, to make sure that you’ll be okay. Once again, all the pilgrims will come to look for you, realizing that he’s actually pretty worried.

The Students Become The Masters (Calvin Evans x Reader)
Tumblr media
Summary: D'Nadi clearly made a mistake picking on you and Cal and your students couldn't have made it clearer than that
Tagging: @floydsmuse
Warnings: Pregnancy, D'Nadi being an asshole etc.
Calvin re-emerged from the kitchen with a hot mug of homemade tea to help calm your nerves. God it had been a day. Never in his life had Calvin seen you so upset about D'Nadi approaching you and not giving you a reason as to why you had been sent home from the college. He had felt terrible about cancelling his other classes for the rest of the day, but he knew that you needed him now more than ever.
"C'mere love," he said, gently lifting your tired head into his lap.
You sniffed a little as the tears stung your eyes. "God I hate D'Nadi," you croaked.
"I know, I do too sweetheart," Calvin said, running his fingers through your hair. "Try not to stress so much. I don't want anything to happen to you or the baby."
"I know," you croaked again. "I have an appointment at the teaching hospital tomorrow."
You snuggled into Calvin, a little too tired to drink the tea he had made, until he had finally convinced you to drink just a little. His hand trailed to your now noticeable bump, gently caressing the little life that grew within. A knock at the front door had startled you both and threw Six-Thirty into a barking fit until Calvin shooed him back to his bed near the fireplace. When Calvin opened the front door, he was a little surprised to find Father McDowell standing there on the front porch.
"Sorry to be disturbin ya laddy," he apologized. "I know it's late and you and the missus are probably settlin in fer bed."
"It's alright Padre," Calvin said. "Just a bit of a rough day is all."
"Ah so I can tell," Father McDowell said, seating himself in the old wingback near the living room window. "How are ye (y/n)? Still feelin a little blue are ye?"
You nodded.
Father McDowell sighed as Six-Thirty put his paws up on the chair arm, the priest gladly letting him have a few scritches. "Tis a damn shame we ain't back in Cork," he said. "If he'd have been attendin me old boardin school, the nuns would've lashed'em so hard he wouldn't be able to sit for at least a week."
You and Cal both chuckled a little. Despite his salty nature, Father McDowell's presence was always welcome at times like these as well as his rather twisted sense of humor.
"One way or another m'lamb, ye'll get through it," he assured you, lighting his pipe. "All will be right with the world......somehow."
And you and Calvin had hoped so.
***************************
Dark night had fallen over the college campus, but that didn't mean the halls were dead. No, they remained brightly lit, the rushed footsteps of students feet on the tile and parquet floors, hurrying to an out of order bathroom at the very end of the hall.
Two students, one of Father McDowell's theology students and his girlfriend, knocked on the door of the bathroom which was promptly opened by Sandy Levenstein, one of your assistants in the classroom.
"You two here from the Padre?" she asked.
"Yep," the young man answered.
"Get in," Sandy told them.
The bathroom was crowded with students and TAs alike, everyone packed elbows to assholes in that small little room from all walks of the campus life, bookworms, jocks, exchange students, chemistry majors, nursing majors, art and art history majors and everyone and anyone in between.
"Alright, you wanna take this Mei? Or should I?" Sandy asked from her perch on top of the garbage can.
"I'll do it," Mei told her. "Marshall? Wanna gimme a hand?"
"Hell yeah honey!" he answered, hoisting Mei up onto his big shoulders.
Mei began pounding on a metal garbage can lid with her Nainai's wooden cooking spoon. "ALRIGHT EVERYBODY SHUT UP FOR TWO SECONDS!!!!"
She waited until the whole room fell silent before speaking again. "Alright, now that I've got your undivided attention," she said. "Marsh, you can put me down now, thank you."
Marshall lowered her down to the floor, letting Mei stand amongst the eager to listen crowd.
"It seems to me that some foul, loathsome, evil little cockroach, had a bone to pick with our dearly beloved professors," Mei explained. "So I ask you, good people of this university.......what the hell are we gonna do about it? Are we gonna stand by and watch him pick on them again?"
"HELL NO!" everyone exclaimed.
"Are we gonna stand for this shit?" Mei asked.
"HELL NO!!"
"Are we gonna let that slimy little schlemiel get away with it?!" Sandy declared.
"HELL NO!!!!"
"I don't care how any of you have to do it," Mei told the crowd. "I don't care how long it takes, what methods you have to use, orthodox or not as long as it's within legal means.........but all of you, get out there and show the little cockroach who really runs this place!"
The crowd in the bathroom cheered, high-fiving and slapping the overhang of the door on their way out.
"You think this is gonna work?" Sandy asked.
"It's worth a shot," Mei laughed.
*****************************
Calvin was in his office, working on the grant proposal for the college's chemistry program, the typewriter clicking away as Six-Thirty came back with a note from the college president. It had been almost a week since D'Nadi had pulled his little stunt, the both of you worried sick about work and how things would turn out. Calvin was an anxious mess as he opened the letter and read it, but relieved beyond words when he saw the response.
Dear Professor Evans,
I apologize for this being so late in coming, but I wanted to let you know personally that you and your wife will continue to teach at this establishment. I will allow her full benefits and time for when the baby is born and you as well. Give my best to (y/n) and we look forward to seeing her when she returns.
Regards,
William B. Hayes III, University President
Calvin was relieved and knew that you would be too. He shoved the letter into one of the pockets inside his briefcase, eager to show you when he got home, when the quiet in his office was suddenly broken by a knock at the door.
"I'm not to be disturbed!" He warned loudly.
"Doc it's me! It's Marshall!" answered a muffled voice from the other side of the door.
Cal quickly rose from his desk chair and opened the door. Marshall Ray Thomas, Eugene Walsh, Cindy Bianchi and Sylvia Patton, all students of his and yours, entered his office, each with a cheeky grin on their faces.
"What did you idiots do?" Calvin asked, suspicious of the reason for their visit.
"Oh ya'll are gonna wanna see this," Marshall laughed, handing Calvin a stack of polaroids.
Calvin flipped through each and every one, his eyes bugging at a few, particularly of one where D'Nadi had been strapped to the surgical gurney in one of the nursing classrooms, the students all surrounding him wearing surgical gear and wielding the tools as though they were in a horror movie.
"Jeebus fuck!" Calvin chuckled, going bug-eyed.
"Oh, wait until you see the ones we took in the chemistry labs," Eugene chuckled, adjusting his glasses. "Sonny Ortega had fun with that one."
Calvin had to stifle a laugh when he saw it. Eugene hadn't been lying, seeing as he and Sonny had been cohorts from day one. What Cal hadn't been expecting was a full recreation of the lab scene in "Frankenstein" and the photographic evidence that had come with it.
"Oh my God," he laughed. "This is just.......wow."
A collective cheer and the chanting of students and teachers alike, soon reached Calvin's ears. Marshall, Eugene, Cindy and Sylvia made their way into the hall where the entire faculty seemed to be chanting "walk of shame" and clapping as loud as they could. Calvin caught sight of a sneering and sulking D'Nadi carrying a box of his things out of his office as the students and faculty kept it up, including Mrs. Petty, the elderly receptionist, who hated D'Nadi with every fiber of her being.
Calvin couldn't help the broad grin that was beginning to crawl across his face, especially when Dr. Powers and Professor Broussard clapped their firm hands on each of his shoulders.
"Mon amie," Professor Broussard said to him. "It seems justice has been served on your behalf."
Calvin laughed as he joined in, everyone cheering loudly when D'Nadi rounded the corner, never to be seen or heard from at the college again.
*****************************
You laughed as you went through the polaroids again with Calvin as soon as he got home, relieved that you still had your job at the college.
"So wait, tell me again," you laughed. "They seriously did that in the nursing classroom?"
"Photo evidence is right there," Calvin answered.
You snorted when you saw it. "Oh my God what are we gonna do with them?"
"Who knows my love?" Calvin said, kissing your forehead.
You couldn't have been happier than at that moment.

Genuine question, no hate! Why stay on lmk Twitter and repost stuff to here abt it if you dislike it so much? And why are we all arguing over which platform is better? They are all good and bad, there's no better over the other.
To answer this seriously: the reason I stay is because it’s where the majority of LMK fans are. It’s the only place where Monkie Kid News and other such resources resides, and it is often the place that first gets wind of stuff like new releases. If I want to have my finger on the pulse of the show, I sort of have no choice to be. So, while I’m there, I repost the good stuff.
I’ve never engaged in arguments that one social media is better than the other, mind. Just said that Twitter sucks. But the reasons why I dislike Twitter (especially fandom Twitter) are as follows:
A culture of directly harassing people for minor infractions, or what turns out to be misinformation (just the other day, a minor was harassed for something it turned out they didn’t do)
Idolization of big name fans (like I said in an earlier post; if you criticize a big name fan, then you’re gonna get dogpiled to hell and back, and if a big name fan says something, everyone will pretend they’ve always agreed, even if they’ve expressed the opposite recently)
Literal 24/7, unavoidable discourse that nobody tags (today, the topic of fandom-wide discussion was people who treat Mei like she gets in the way of Spicynoodles, which literally nobody does)
It is so hard to optimize your experience and curate your feed, because tagging is not built into the system (like, what would I filter other than ‘Spicynoodles’ to stop seeing the previous discourse, when the majority of them are just text posts with no tags? what if I like that ship and don’t wanna mute it?)
Even if you could curate it better, general social media stuff that everyone knows about Twitter at this point makes it so that you’re always seeing stuff that upsets you (it’s designed to addict you, and feeds you the algorithm which is designed to show you posts that make you upset or angry for engagement, plus more!)
And that’s not even getting into the Elon Musk of it all, or the fact that I’ve had multiple friends on there both watch and be victims of horrific harassment campaigns on LMKtwt that left them with literal trauma symptoms.
Compare this to tumblr:
The culture here is largely “block and move on”
The tagging system makes it easy for people to tag their discourse so I don’t have to see it
Since there is no algorithm, there is no issue with being fed posts to upset me
Harassment is less normalized, and when you are harassed, it’s usually via anon, which you can turn off to shut them up
I have never personally seen any people showing weird behavior towards fellow fans, which is either a sign that it doesn’t happen or that you’re able to curate your feed with minimum effort to never see it
Twitter is an infinitely worse experience, culturally and by social media design, but I stay there because it is where most of the LEGO Monkie Kid fandom is, plus the chill people that reside there sometimes.
So, that’s 1) why I hate it there, and 2) why I’m there anyway. And I run this blog to share the goodies with tumblr, so that nobody else has to feel obligated to be on LMKtwt like I feel that I do. Which is why I make jokes about making such a huge sacrifice for the sake of LMK tumblr, via running this blog.

Alright so I finished watching a Stardom show and I had a lot of thoughts about it and stuff I wanted to say and normally I would dump this all in my discord server but rn I'd feel weird about spamming this in there bc of brain reasons so tumblr gets it instead. So here are my probably needlessly long thoughts about Stardom's 2023.09.09 5 Star GP show from Korakuen Hall:
Alright so just right off the bat I'll say that this show was pretty packed (~1300 people) and the crowd was very hot and that... did nothing for me. Moments that make me feel very alienated from what is apparently the average wrestling fan, let me tell you. People make such a big deal out of loud active crowds and idk I mostly just found this one annoying. There's something about them being so audibly almost exclusively men that is really not fun. Rossy spent 10 years being so bad at appealing to women that I think it's fair to say it just wasn't a concern of his at any point, and Harada was absolutely gunning for a product in that same vein and it SUCKS. Oh my god it sucks. idk why it bothered me so much on this show, it's not like it's anything new, but it was really getting to me. I'm looking forward to getting to the show from, I think late November, when Kid specifically commented on how many women were there and seeing if it feels any different. Shout out to the one very loud woman who was a huge Komomo stan though, mood.
This show was originally billed as the Generational Struggle Part 3, the culmination of the Generational Struggle stuff from earlier in the Summer, a storyline that nobody ever understood and none of the wrestlers had any interest in, ultimately just completely dropped by the time this show actually happened, really emblematic of Harada's era of booking. I think this show stands out in a similar way, a peak of popularity and hype during a period where the quality was already starting to steeply decline, but before people had really noticed in numbers and before things had really cratered, with the wrestlers still mostly able to cover up the increasingly obvious holes. As such I think it's worth talking about as a shining example of this incredibly weird and bad period for Stardom.
Lady C & Hina vs Miyu Amasaki & Hanako - I like the sort of QQ vs QQ feeling to this match, but iirc it was one of those matches that were frequent at the time that had to be changed at the last minute bc someone was hurt or sick. So idk it was a fine opener though, no strong feelings but like it's the first match it's fine.
Mariah May & Waka Tsukiyama vs Mei Seira & Megan Bayne - Okay I hate to say it but Megan is kind of growing on me. I still think the way they brought her in was all wrong, and trying to push her for singles matches again later was still a mistake, but I do think she found a pretty entertaining niche in these less important tag matches. A lot of it is everyone else figuring out how to play off of her, and I don't really think it's a *good* thing when one wrestler warps an entire match around her every single time like she does, but in a match that's not all that important so there's less to detract from, yeah it's actually pretty fun. I just like seeing Mei Seira get thrown you know? Or when Mariah tries to knock her off the apron and she just doesn't move. It's annoying as hell when it gets her title shots, but in contexts like this, it's a pretty good bit.
Natsupoi & Yuna Mizumori vs Syuri & Saki Kashima - I'll talk more about it later but this whole undercard felt really disposable to me, which is always disappointing, especially given how much character Stardom packed into even their smaller matches before this period. Yunamon was in the middle of her joining CA story (still, somehow) and Poi and Syuri are always entertaining together, and they still are here with some fun spots and stuff, but I just didn't care. Like I said though, broader issues going on during this period so we do know why it was like that and I'll get to it later.
Mayu Iwatani, Koguma, & Momo Kohgo vs Natsuko Tora, Fukigen Death, & Rina - Again, perfectly servicable undercard match that doesn't really have anything fun or interesting going on under the hood, but we know why now so I'm not trying to like, criticize, just saying yeah wow it was bad huh. This was Komomo's second last match before she got injured iirc which is incredibly depressing, I don't think she even tagged in once during this match so she was probably already hurt and I hate it.
Mirai vs Saori Anou - God, okay, this match was kind of the one that made me think about typing up my thoughts about this show. I did not like this match anywhere near as much as I expected to. It just was not clicking for me, like, at all. This felt like a very clear "first time singles match", especially between two wrestlers who I guess don't really know each other outside of wrestling and haven't trained together or anything. There's a reason first time singles matches are rarely actually all that good and I really felt that awkwardness and lack of chemistry here. Mirai and Anou are both good so it was like, fine, but I was really taken out of it and unimpressed after I had assumed this would be really good. I do like Anou winning the white belt, and I do think Mirai's run needed to end bc it was not... working, but man I would not have devoted like Mirai's entire Fall to this feud after watching this match. Shining example of why you should put wrestlers together with people they want to work with and not just whichever names you think sound good against each other.
Hazuki vs Starlight Kid - This match on the other hand totally lived up to expectations. Hazuki and Kid obviously know each other super well and are both freaks, it was great. Brawling through the crowd always gives me kind of, idk, a sort of secondhand embarassment feeling? It just feels wrong my brain doesn't like it but I still appreciated what they were doing with it, with Kid angry and desperate and trying to prove herself more intense and bad than Hazuki. Hazuki always looks amazing getting tortured in submissions, and Kid's whole gameplan being trying to build to the Black Tiger Leg Killer makes sense. I couldn't actually remember who won this so I was even biting on the near falls at the end and liked Hazuki's quick, desperate win. They're both so great and I liked this a lot.
Tam Nakano vs Suzu Suzuki - This was like, the exact opposite of Mirai vs Anou to me. It still had a little bit of that first singles match awkwardness I think, but the amount you would expect given that's what it was, and they both brought enough to compensate for that. Tam really does have the same chemistry with "mini Giulia" as she does with the big sis herself and this match was really great for it. Again exactly opposite to Anou vs Mirai, this match totally would have left me excited for a title match program between these two - which ofc unfortunately never actually happened. I think the booking was incredibly stupid though, because of course it was, but why give Suzu the win over the champ to build to her winning the tournament and... earning a title match she already earned with this match? I guess there is the possibility that as people seem to believe Utami was meant to win and Suzu was an audible when Utami got hurt, which would make some sense booking wise. I still think Utami winning would have been extremely nonsensical from a story standpoint, but all the rest of Harada's booking was disjointed and very obviously ignored story too, so it would be consistent in that way at least. But anyway, I really enjoyed this match.
Giulia vs Maika - Wow, man, I liked this match so so much more than I was expecting to. Idk why it quite feels like this because I haven't skipped any of these shows, but if 2023 was the Maika starmaking year, this was the match where her popularity really felt like it exploded basically overnight. Like she was already liked, but this match out of nowhere was where it was suddenly like, oh my god Maika is SUPER popular, god damn. I think all of Giulia's singles matches have some holes, like, I wouldn't exactly say she is "good" at "selling" even at the best of times, but Maika is really good at compensating for her weaknesses, and most importantly the match really really excels at her strengths, namely intensity and homoeroticism. Given the things I've heard or seen I think this might be the last Giulia singles match I really enjoy, uh, either in her time in Stardom or possibly ever, but still if it does turn out that way for me, what a note to go out on. Really really fantastic, I thought this match was great, even if the story stuff and the booking around it was extremely inconsistent and stop and go with a whole Giulia vs Maika storyline they teased repeatedly and clearly wanted to do and never actually got to. At least they got to do this one.
Which I guess brings me to how weird this period of Stardom was. There have definitely been times I've wondered myself why I'm so dedicated to not skipping anything even when I don't exactly think it's fantastic, but I don't know, I still want to see what it was like, you know? I want to see what the wrestlers cared about even when there was no guarantee at all the booker would pay attention to any of it. There are definitely still good moments, even if there are a lot of bad and a lot of it is disjointed and weird around it. I just want to see it for myself.
I did improv in high school, and I remember after regionals one year we tried to do our regular weekly practice the next week, and it was terrible. Everyone was just creatively tapped and needed to recharge too badly, but we didn't realize that at first, and there was just this feeling of like, "we're doing the same things we always do, why isn't this working?" A lot of stuff from this period gives me the impression that that's how the wrestlers were feeling during this time.
The next show, on September 10th, was Dream Tag Fes, which seems to me to sort of be when this era of Stardom jumped the shark. (And I say that as someone who used to be way too much of a nerd about sitcoms and is extremely specific about what that term means.) The one last truly top to bottom great show for this era of Stardom, amidst some decline already starting to show, before the management issues and terrible schedule would become too much to ignore and they wouldn't be able to reach those heights again. I mean I think they're already on their way back up, I'm glad Harada has already been fired and Rossy being gone too is a bonus, but for this period at least. I might skip some stuff in the future, I know at least the Money Ball Scramble that was a mess where they didn't even run by the wrestlers what was in the boxes for sure, but I don't know, I still worry about missing out on the good stuff too, you know? That's my problem with wrestling, I'm so quick to tell others there's no actual obligation to watch everything, and yet I feel it myself. But even if it was another one that was all over the place, I'm still glad I watched this show.

thanks @bobafett for the tag i love tag games SO much
How many works do you have on AO3? 38! Huh! I don't know what I expected? (If you wanna be exact, it's actually 41 because I have 3 joke fics posted anonymously.)
What’s your total AO3 word count? 653,468
What fandoms do you write for? Whatever I'm into at the moment? Right now it's God of War. Earlier it was Linked Universe. Before that it was Daiya no Ace. But I'm not particularly loyal, it's literally just whatever idea that manages to stick.
What are your top 5 fics by kudos? Reflection -- a classic AA Batteries -- my beloved Dawn of the Fourth -- *evil cackling* ain't no rest for the wicked -- oh my god do people still click on this Denial and Deterioration -- I SWEAR I'M STILL WORKING ON IT I ACTUALLY ADDED TO THE DOC LIKE 3 DAYS AGO
Do you respond to comments? I try to! I try to catch every comment, but if a fic is on the older side and the comment isn't super long, I sometimes don't reply. Not because I don't like the comment (i love all comments i love you all) but because if a fic is not fresh in my brain I don't have much to say
What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? DO NOT READ IT, but it's the shadows we cast. I was fifteen. I'm not linking it on here. It's still on my AO3 because I'm not a coward, but I'm also not very brave, so like, don't read my high school fic, you've been warned.
What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Probably Candid? That one is SUPER fluffy, which is not normally my style, but you know, sometimes you just gotta flex your fluff muscles,
Do you get hate on fics? Eh, not really. I've gotten a few negative comments, but mostly from FFN, and I honestly don't even count those lol.
Do you write smut? If so, what kind? No. I genuinely wouldn't even know where to begin.
Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? Nah, crossovers aren't my thing.
Have you ever had a fic stolen? I have seen a fic that was very blatantly referencing one of mine, but I don't really consider that stealing.
Have you ever had a fic translated? Nope!
Have you ever co-written a fic before? Does the absolutely insane crack fic written on the tail end of a 29-hour voice call count?
What’s your all time favorite ship? Hmm. I read a lot of Merthur, but that's mostly because the Merlin fandom tends to be really good, and therefore there's a lot of good Merthur (although I do like Merthur a lot, super Shakespearean, only valid soulmate pairing I've ever seen).
What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? If I abandon a fic, I'm going to make an announcement. If I haven't officially abandoned it, it's still fair game. That said, Replication is like, on the lowest of low priorities.
What are your writing strengths? It comes with absorbing plot structure into your personality, but yeah, I'm a kick ass plotter. Also comedy. That also comes with the plot structure.
What are your writing weaknesses? Atmosphere/description. Worldbuilding. Also to a lesser extent, character voice -- I feel like I eventually default to everyone just sounding like me
Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? Depends on context, but it's always through the lens of "how does this effect the experience for the reader?"
First fandom you wrote for? I wrote a Star Wars fanfic when I was like, 9. First fanfiction on PURPOSE was for PJO.
Favorite fic you’ve written? I think the best thing I've written so far is DotF, but my favorite is probably The Disappearance of Narumiya Mei. WHICH I'M ALSO STILL WORKING ON, life just got REALLY WEIRD and I had to take a step back from it RIP
Tagging @tavina-writes, @ellie-tarts, @lieutenantbiscute, @aoryuucchi, @bytebun, @mimbotomy (no pressure if you don't want to!) and of course anyone who feels like doing this

— liam's character info sheet.
(repost, don’t reblog)
name: willamina “liam” kaz
name meaning: a variant of the name wilhelmina, “determined protector"
alias/es:  liam, li, synesilk, red, spider-man
ethnicity: white
one picture you like best: i've been thinking nonstop about these that i posted a little bit ago
three hcs you never told anyone:
idk if this counts as one but i constantly am at a crossroads with what i want to do with liam’s love life. shipping liam is genuinely such a low thing on the list of stuff i focus on because i constantly just struggle with figuring out that side of their life. they’re so devoted to everyone in their life and just clinging on for a meaningful relationship, platonic or romantic or something else entirely. that being said… they’re an awkward and rather nervous partner when it comes to romantic relationships. one would be so lucky to be in love and loved by liam
liam has such a complicated relationship with their first name because they wouldn’t go as far as to say it’s not theirs or anything or even change it legally, they simply just don’t entirely identify with it or use it. they do have to use it in certain situations such as with medical stuff or legal things and they will but in every other aspect of life they’d like to be known as liam (or any other nickname)
liam started using the nickname liam around the time they entered their early teens. before then it was some other variations of willamina. nothing ever really stuck more than a year or three at a time.
three things your character likes doing in their free time:
walking/swinging aimlessly
hanging out in the lab/the web
play board games
eight people your character likes / loves:
roxy fields. liam’s platonic soulmate and other hero half. there’s no world where roxy and liam aren’t vital to each other
martin levy. liam’s cousin and one part of their safety net. they’re close confidants, and very much like siblings
emmett jeffries. liam’s half-brother. they reconnect after a couple of years after being out of each other’s lives but there’s truly nothing liam wouldn’t do for this kid
peter parker. roxy’s high school friend, martin’s roommate, and one part of liam’s safety net. he’s the guy in the chair for both spiders
professor mei turling. liam and roxy’s mentor. her disappearance is what leads them on their adventure as heroes. she’s one of liam’s inspirations
piper lowery. liam’s first love. this relationship is doomed in every version of it, and liam will always wonder what could’ve been
carla & haiden kaz. despite everything, liam can’t ever say they hate their parents. there’s a complicated amount of love and like for them even if liam hopes they don’t call and don’t visit
two things your character regrets:
not keeping in contact with emmett
a lot of small regrets over things they say occasionally. liam is the kind of person to beat themself up over being vulnerable at times or doing something they think might’ve been a touch weird
two phobias your character has:
losing roxy/anyone they care about
confined spaces for an extended period of time

OC Tag Game
I was tagged by @cleverblackcat. Thank you for sharing your OC’s with us! 💜
Well I have so many OC I don’t even know if I can fit all of them, probably not x) So I have only for Dragon Age 19, for Cyberpunk 2077 7, and for Mass Effect one.
Tagging forward: @kittynomsdeplume @raflesia65 @retrowondergirl @thedastrash @rosella-writes @dreamskug @wraithsoutlaws @vox-monstera @faepunkprince  @a-pirate  @maimaiapologist @ghostoffuturespast @gloryride @dustymagpie @wanderingaldecaldo @jaymber @fereldanwench @cinnamon-mey @katsigian @chevvy-yates @kittenchrissy @sammysilverdyne @rindemption @imaginarycyberpunk2023 And anyone else who might enjoy it!
Favorite OC:
Vicco Dorn. They are one of my side oc’s for Cyberpunk 2077. Vicco grew so much on me during the time and I never had thought it would go like that. They are by now the most flashed out of all my oc’s even considering that I spend years on my DA oc’s. They are a victim of their upbringing, fighting for everything in their life. If they thought they have lost everything they cared for, they finally find happiness.
Newest OC:
Kilian Dorn is Vicco’s older brother and he is an asshole. He envies everything that Vicco accomplished in his life, while he had to get by, mostly poorly. I created this character solely for a fic that I’m still writing and I didn’t develop him much because I wanted to keep my options wide until I reach the part in my fic where I need him to act.
Oldest OC:
Morgan Cousland, my Hero of Ferelden, who becomes Queen at the end of Dragon age Origins. She is a badass and wielding a glaive. Her hc is flashed out very well but not as detailed as Vicco’s at this point, but I think I lost interest at some point to go more into the details with her.
Meanest OC:
I’m not sure who to choose here because Kilian Dorn and Dagur Aeducan are the same level of asshole. Both will end up getting nicer when they realise that being mean gets them nothing else than hate and ignorance from others.
Softest OC:
Natia Brosca is my sweetest oc. She grew up in the dumps of Orzammar. To be honest, as long as she lived there she wasn’t a nice person, because kindness wouldn't have gotten her anywhere, but when she reached the surface, she had her freedom and could be who she wanted to be, and she wanted to be kind. She will become Queen of Orzammar.
Most Aloof/Standoffish OC:
Nadia Adaar is a Qunari mage and only her sight will let normal people choose flight before fighting. She knows this, and uses this to her advantage. When she becomes Inquisitor she has a hard time to not intimidate others because she is by that point so accustomed to it. She might fool everyone, but not Josie. Josie knows how soft Nadia can be.
Dumbest (Affectionate) OC:
Damian Adaar is also a Qunari mage, he is just a big baby. He is kind and friendly and sees only the good in people. Lucky for him he has some good advisors and two partners (Dorian and The Iron Bull) that stop him from being stupid sometimes.
Smartest OC:
This is a tough one. All my oc’s are smart on their own. Some are street smart, some educational smart and others emotionally smart, and we have mages, so which one is smarter than the other? So it is impossible to name only one of them and give them the crown.
Street smart: Vicco Dorn and Kahlan Tabris are here the main characters I think of. They have seen the worst humanity could throw at them. They have however different outcomes, Vicco learns by time to heal and move on, whereas Kahlan will struggle the rest of her life with what she witnessed.
Educational smart: Here we have Aedan and Morgan Cousland as well as Valaire and Joris Dercks. They had the best education money (or birth) can get you. They know how to act towards others and can win over nearly every argument because they learned it. Although Morgan had to work a bit harder because she has a bit too much temperament.
Emotionally smart: Natia Brosca and Damian Adaar will get everything from you they want just by being rays of sunshine in a world that seemed to be doomed to go down.
Mages: I have too many of those (9) to name them all, so if you’re interested here is the spreadsheet. There are imo no stupid mages, because those probably die young. Anders calls Gore (my male Hawke) sometimes stupid, but it is because he is rather immature.
OC I’d Be Friends With:
Actually I would be friends with most of my oc, with some more with others less. I get along well with different kinds of personalities, except for assholes. I could, but I just won't interact with those kind of people.

I finally have time to think properly about part 1's ending~ since it's been a while since it was released i'm not spoiler tagging but it is under a cut.
I have to say i'm not really mad at kiana living, it's a happy ending and I actually felt very relieved, especially knowing that everyone could still contact and visit her so although it was an emotional parting because the main trio have only really just gotten back together, there was still the reassurance of knowing she's reachable on the moon while she gets to work. it's actually pretty funny.
i've seen/heard from a couple different people that kiana living undermines the sacrifices of other characters and while I understand that, I don't really agree. everyone's sacrifices still held a purpose at the time and I don't think kiana needed to die for them to be considered worthwhile. I don't think any of the characters would prefer it either lol.
I also don't think it's a lazy ending or that it was done because of time constraints for star rail's release given that honkai was released in the midst of ggz's story and I also didn't notice a decline in honkai's story for genshin's release despite both of these happening before mihoyo became as big as they are now. I genuinely believe that the writers and devs stand behind this as the true ending and it's okay if you don't like it for what it is.
then there's ai-chan and the fourth wall break during kevin's fight. I don't really like ai-chan, I feel like she doesn't add anything that was missing from the story and so her being present at the end was unnecessary, but I have seen people who like her and what she represents. in the moment, the fourth wall break made me emotional and I didn't hate it at all. I do think it's a bit silly and we could've done without but I still like it. maybe it could've been improved by just removing the names of other players and having it just be the will of humanity against finality or something. I don't think it's a game-ruining moment though.
I do think that kiana living made the ending a little less impactful considering that I think we all believed she was destined to sacrifice herself as per her parents' and ancestral history and, although I don't mind being wrong, kiana dying would have been a huge moment and I definitely believe it was built up a bit so I guess there was a little something missing at the end. I am not joking when I say this could have easily been fixed by having mei and kiana kiss in the cinematic or in the in-game cg. it would have been the resolution to a long desired built up moment in the same way that kiana's death would have been, and it would've just made it all that much sweeter.
I also think it's possible that kiana could die even later on in the story after she's finished her job on the moon - the text mentioned that kiana sucking the honkai energy out of the world would cause mei and bronya's herrscher cores to fade over time and we definitely see that in apho, so I think there's the chance that eventually kiana herself will also fade away, so maybe mihoyo is just going for a slow burn death.
anyway overall I liked the ending and I like that kiana is alive and I like that I loved playing the ending. I could've just done with a kiss.

The Itsy-Bitsy Spider Demons - The Aftermath Series
Bai wasn't spared when she'd been released from the spirit's hold. A number of side effects popped up as the days went by. But the final one is what calls her into action. Because no one should be left to suffer.
Fandom: LEGO Monkie Kid Rating: General Audience Relationships: Background/Mentioned, MK&SunWukong&Macaque, Macaque&Bai Warnings/Additional Tags: Lots of Characters, Everyone’s here, A story for Bai, Focused on her, Will have a follow up.
Please note this takes place before 'Another New Step' but after 'The Nightmares'. The Series is going to have a number of stories uploaded that are going to be out of order. Just bare with me!
Bai wasn’t sure what to expect after the world was crawling back from ruin. Even at a young age, she knew it was going to be a mess. It was going to take a long time to rebuild the city. Even longer to recover within the people. But how harsh the new reality was becoming hit with a full force Bai was not ready for.
The first harsh bit of reality hit her when she started to run into people during the return of daily life. A majority of them tended to flinch away when their eyes landed on her. Offering a sheepish smile as apologies before rushing off. Bai was a little more than confused when this action first happened. Merely wondering if she had just spooked them in some way. The true answer arrived when, as she was making her way to Pigsy’s Noodles, when a bottle was smashed at her feet.
A small shriek escaped her as she scampered back, calling more attention to her. Eyes wide, body shaking as a hardened face citizen stalked towards her. “U-Um-”
“You little brat, I hope you’re happy with yourself!” The large man shouted, towering over the young girl.
“I-I don’t-”
“You keep freaking everyone out. You allowed that demon to do so much damage to our city and you have the gall to remain here?”
“Dude, back off,” another stepped forward, “She’s just a kid-”
“She ruined everything!”
Bai was running before she could think about how guilty that looked. Heart hammering as she changed her path to her original goal. Practically stumbling in when she reached the shop. She looked up, seeing everyone worried, MK saying something, but she just couldn’t hear him. All Bai could give as a response was a sob before collapsing to the floor.
Only calming down when Macaque appeared. Launching herself at the stunned monkey, who eventually pulled the girl closer.
Another shock came when parts of her black hair started turning white at the roots.
Bai only noticed a few days after the world returned to normal. Putting on her headband pushed her hair back enough for the roots near her forehead to show their change. She was unable to move when Bai realized what she was looking at. Removing the headband quickly to part more of her hair. Whimpering seeing how much was changing.
By the next day, the white was showing even more. No longer sticking to the roots. White going half way down the entire length Bai had. In only three days, different patches of hair were fully white.
She absolutely hated it.
Mei had offered to dye the patches of hair. Bai jumped at the offer immediately, following the teen with a wet smile. Talking about everything as she sat on the stool and let Mei do her work. It amounted to nothing when, the next day, Bai woke up with the same patches of white hair.
She had begged all to keep quiet about her hair from Macaque. Worried how the black monkey would react upon seeing the reminder of what they’d all faced. Which the small family was fine with…
Until MK found Bai in the bathroom. Chopping off the white hair choppily with a pair of children's safety scissors.
Macaque was immediately called. No matter how much Bai begged for them to keep quiet. Full blown sobbed when the black furred monkey appeared from the shadows. She hid away in her hands, heart sinking with Macaque’s casual greeting cut off. No doubt seeing the state of her hair. When Bai peeked out from her parted fingers, she caught Macaque disappearing into the shadows once more.
The child wailed at that. “He hates me!”
“No, no he doesn’t.” MK attempted to comfort, wrapping an arm around Bai’s shoulders. The girl in turn cries into the teen’s chest.
MK's further attempt fell quiet when the shadows shifted once more. All surprised when Wukong fell through first, followed by Macaque. The Monkey King turned, no doubt about to protest being dragged here. Only for the Shadow Warrior to grab the golden monkey’s chin and turn Wukong to face Bai. The girl’s eyes flickered down, clinging to MK desperately.
She gave a small whimper when MK moved, the teen easily pulling Bai out to stand before the two monkeys. Looking up slowly hearing someone casually clear their throat. She let out a gasp when Macaque’s fur, namely on his right side, turned shockingly white. Even his right arm was not spared from this change. Bai looked up when MK rushed over to Monkey King, the golden monkey giving a sheepish smile to the teen. Who seemed frantic with the streaks of white in the golden fur.
As MK wrapped his arms around Wukong, who returned the gesture and pressed his cheek to the teen’s forehead, Bai looked back to Macaque. How’s bent down to address the child better. “You’re not alone.”
“...It still scares me…”
“Don’t think of it as a painful reminder. Think of it as a trophy for winning the day.”
Bai smiled weakly at that. Wrapping arms around Macaque’s neck, who lifted the girl up easily, holding her close.
The final part that Bai noticed were the whispers. They weren’t her whispers. It wasn’t icy cold, it didn’t make her skin crawl. It was more of confusion, someone sounding lost. Bai eventually realized that they were the whispers of the people who had been lost from the event. Lost souls who were confused. Unsure of where they were or how they’d gotten there.
Out of all the changes, this one was not as terrifying as it possibly should be. The whispers weren’t loud enough to be heard properly during the day and at night, they seemed to quiet down further. Bai could also never hear what was actually being said. All she knew was that those talking were sad and lost. But it never reached a point where she felt like she needed to tell someone. It was strange, but not scary.
Until a familiar form appeared in her room.
While under the Lady Bone Demon’s control, Bai had been able to see and hear everything. Meaning it wasn’t as big of a shock when she found a familiar spider demon sitting at the foot of her bed.
She’d just come back from school, walking into her room to find a hulking form curled up. Four eyes staring at his hands in disappointment, or sadness, maybe both? Bai was more afraid of seeing the blue, wispy form and not the fact it was a spider demon that somehow got into her room. A small gasp of surprise escaped her when she walked into her room.
The large form looked up, eyes widening as he stood, hands up in a form of surrender. “S-Sorry! Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you! I just wanted to take a break…”
Bai recovered quickly, placing her school bag down before closing her bedroom door. “I’m not scared. I just wasn’t expecting you to be here.”
“Here?”
“You’re in my room,” Bai frowned softly as she watched the demon peer around, “Can…you not see where you are?”
“...No, it’s dark. I can’t see anything. I just sat down because I was getting tired. I didn’t mean to break into your room.”
“No, I don’t mind… Well, I don’t mind a lot. Can you see me?”
“Yeah, I can see you. You’re like this…blue form? Blue with white lines. It’s weird.”
“Huh, that’s how you look like to me… I’m Bai, by the way. What’s your name?”
The large demon looked over, eyes a little wide in surprise at the question. “Um…Stront, my name’s Stront. Aren’t you that little Lady Bone Demon?”
Bai flinched slightly and looked away. “No, I mean, not really. I was a puppet for her. I wasn’t really in control of my actions, but I saw everything. That's why I recognized you.”
“Oh…okay.”
“Do you know where you are?”
“Um…in your room. That’s what you told me.”
“No, no, I mean you said you were surrounded by darkness. What does that mean? Are you in a cave somewhere?”
“No, not a cave. If that was it, I would have been able to find a way out. Wherever I am, there’s no way out. Trust me, I’ve been looking ever since I woke up. It’s all just endless darkness. I could keep walking forever and never find the end. That’s what it feels like anyway.”
“...Maybe I could help?”
Strong frowned before slowly nodding. “Maybe? You’re the only person I’ve seen so far.”
“How long have you been there?”
“...Since the Lady Bone Demon turned on us.”
“In the sewers? That’s a long time.”
“I know… Hey, can you do me a favor?”
“I’m not sure if I can get you out.”
“Wha- Oh, no! No, that would be great if you could. But I feel like that’s going to be next to not happening until I figure out where I am. No, I was going to ask if you could find someone for me. Another spider demon, Syntax.”
“Oh, he’s the tech spider with the metal limbs on his back.”
“Yeah! Yeah, him, I’m glad you remember.”
“Okay, what do I need to do?”
Strong suddenly looked embarrassed, looking off to the side. His cheeks suddenly dusted with a faint silver. “Can you tell him… Can you tell him that I’m looking for him? That I won’t stop searching until he’s back with me and I know that he’s safe.”
Bai gasped softly, eyes wide with glee. “Are you two dating!?”
That caused the demon to flounder, shoulders raising as if to shield himself. “I mean- not really? I don’t think he knows I exist. But he was nice to me, when it was just the two of us. He was abrasive in front of everyone. When it’s just us, he’s soft. He takes his time to explain things to me. Even if I still have no idea what he’s saying. The more time we were together, I feel like the closer we got. Then we were sucked into this blue cloud by that Mayor person and…and I tried to hold onto him… But he slipped through my fingers…and I haven’t seen him since.”
“I’ll keep an eye out. If I see you again, I’ll let you know.”
“Thank you Bai,” Stront smiles softly, “For all we did, you’re very forgiving.”
“We were all used by her.”
“...What a clever child you are.” Bai panicked slightly when Stront’s form flickered before disappearing completely. Left to sit on her floor in worry and confusion.
She kept her eyes peeled for any new spiritual forms, wanting to keep her promise. But the next time Bai saw anything strange was a few days later. She was out with MK and Mei, the teens wanting to spend the day with the girl. Bai thrilled at having the closest things to siblings now in her life and that they wanted to hang out with her.
Entering a large toy shop with tea in hand, Bai departed from the teen’s side to look at the large plush toy selection. Eyes wide as she peered over the wide selection while MK and Mei rushed to look at the video game selection. The girl’s eyes landed on the biggest, squishiest cat plush she’d ever seen. Starting to reach out for it as-
“Stront! Stront keep talking, I can hear you! …Where are you?”
Bai’s dazed feeling was broken hearing a voice call out. She looked around, wondering where it was coming from. No one around seemed to be in distress or even heard what she had. No one seemed to be worried about the desperate calls. Clutching her tea close, Bai went out to find the source.
Uncaring of the sign that said ‘Employees Only’, Bai passed through a doorway that led to the back end of the store. Shelves stuffed full of materials and supplies lined the large area. Passing by all of it in the hunt for the voice, Bai was led to the further corner. One where the overhead lights appeared to have gone out. Casting the small area into a deep shadow. Something blue could be flicking around from between the items.
Peering around the corner, Bai found another familiar spider demon. One wearing a large lab coat with a metal pack stuck to his back. Clearly looking around for something, twisting and turning around from where he stood. He cupped his hand around his mouth, calling out, “Stront, keep talking! I know you’re here, I can hear you, where are you?”
Bai flinched when eyes landed on her, the spider demon looking just as surprised. “Who are you, where did you come from?”
“Um, I’m Bai…” She inched further into view, not missing the way realization dawned on the demon’s face.
“You’re…”
“I was possessed by her.”
“Right, of course, that should have been obvious. Sorry, but your face doesn’t offer a lot of comfort.”
Bai merely nodded, taking a sip of her tea. “Are you Syntax?”
“Yes, that’s me. Why do you want to know?”
“Oh, well, I have a message for you. From Stront.”
That changed Syntax’s stance quickly. Defensiveness falling away into shock and desperation. “Have…you seen him? Is he okay, where is he?”
“I-I don’t know where he is. I only saw him a few days ago in my bedroom-”
“What?”
“I mean, he didn’t know he was in my bedroom. He just said he sat down to take a rest and said that wherever he was he actually couldn’t see anything. Like it was…what did he say? Like a dark endless place.”
“That’s where I am. So I’m not crazy, I did hear him. …But you don’t know where he is?”
“No, I’m sorry. I haven’t seen him since and I can’t call him. So…I can’t help, I’m sorry.”
Syntax let out a heavy sigh, squeezing his hands together, eyes shut tightly. “...You said…he had something to say to me?”
“He’s looking for you and he’s not going to stop until he knows you’re safe.”
The demon gave a small laugh. Quickly covering his mouth with one hand while the other wrapped around himself. “Bleeding heart fool, of course he would say that… Stront, where are you?”
“I’m sorry I’m not more help.”
“You’ve done all you can child… I doubt you’d be able to help us leave this tormentful place. But it’s a comfort knowing that, in some way, I’m not alone here. Even if I can’t see them.”
“...Are you going to be okay?”
“...I don’t know. I don’t know how to fix this.” Syntax sat down, eyes on the ground. Bai slowly crept forward, sitting next to the demon. “There’s so little information about this place. I have very few tools and the ones that I have don’t work. It’s cold and dark… I’d hate to admit it, but I’m…scared.”
“It’s okay to admit you’re scared.” Bai offered helpfully.
“Still…if you’re being a messenger, may I give you something?”
“Sure!”
“Can you tell Stront…that I’m looking for him endlessly. That I can hear him, he just needs to keep shouting for as long as he can.”
“Okay, I can do that. Be safe?”
Syntax laughed softly, but smiled. “There’s nothing here, in either to harm or help me. But thank you for your words.”
Bai winced when the light overhead suddenly came on. The spider demon disappears at that moment.
“Hey, kid!” A worker turned the corner, arms crossed. “You can’t be back here, it’s off limits.”
“Sorry, I got lost looking for my friends.” Bai replied back softly.
The worker sighed, but said no more on it. Merely held out a hand that Bai took easily. When they left the room, they found MK and Mei rushing around frantically. Letting out cries of relief when they found Bai. The girl giggling softly as she was pulled into a tight MK hug. Mei apologizing to the worker who asked them to ‘Please keep an closer eye on your sister’.
When asked why she went back there, Bai merely replied, “I thought I heard a lost animal.”
With every day that passed, Bai did everything she could to keep an eye out. For Stront, Syntax, or anyone else. But a month passed with no signs of anyone appearing. Either old or new. The whispers were persistent.
She was thrilled when, a month and a half after her first encounter, she had been invited to a get-together on Sandy’s boat. A movie night, something Bai hadn’t been to in a long time. She traveled over with the normal group. MK, Mei, Redson, Pigsy, and Tang, all chatting along happily as Bai swung between MK and Mei. The teens holding said child up easily.
Bai immediately collected Mo close when the group arrived. Sandy greeted all with a wide smile and a big hug. The front deck was already set up with a large screen and numerous squishy and comfortable chairs. The evening became that much better when the shadows suddenly shifted, Macaque and Wukong emerging from them.
MK and Bai let out cheers of excitement. The teen pulled the golden monkey into a hug before directing Wukong to a seat next to him. Bai went to the Shadow Warrior, who picked her up easily with a small smile. Allowing the child to ramble about her day as he claimed his own spot.
It all started as a quiet evening, one movie down before Bai broke away to get more water. Getting blessing from Sandy to enter his home with a nod and a wide smile. As she entered the main room, she froze upon hearing movement coming from the kitchen. Eyes snapping over to the darkened room as Bai attempted to locate where the sound was coming from. Blue light flickering within the room she was about to enter. But she wasn’t fearful, Bai recognized the light and rushed in.
Sure enough, it was another spider demon. One that was taller than Syntax but smaller than Stront. Wearing what Bai thought was a fur coat, something strapped around his chest. Six eyes staring out the window, where the rest of the group were sitting.
“Can you see them?” Bai asked softly. Not flinching when the demon sharply turned to face her.
“What.” The demon hissed out, eyes narrowing at Bai.
“Can you see them, everyone downstairs? If so, I think you’re the only one. Syntax and Stront could only see and talk to me.”
“You saw- Wait, who are you!? What are you doing here, how can you see me?”
“Oh, I’m Bai. I’m the girl Lady Bone Demon possessed.”
“Ah…you. Yes, I’ll be honest, I forgot about you. So, you can see me.”
“Uh huh. You and your friends.”
The demon snorted and rolled his eyes. “Friends is a strong word. We were merely co-workers, that’s all. But I’m going to assume you’re able to do this because of what happened to you.”
Bai shrugged. “I guess so. I’m not really sure. By the way, I’m Bai.”
“...Huntsman.”
“Is that really your name?”
“No, but I don’t give it out. Not anymore.”
“Oh, well…I guess your name kind of matches you. …So why are you here, shouldn’t you be looking for your…co-workers?”
“I have been… But I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m not meant to find them. Wherever I am, I’m alone…or as alone as I can get. I hear them, but I can’t see them.”
“...But you can see everyone down there?”
“Down where?”
“On the deck.”
“Oh…no, not really. You’re the only one who I can truly see. I’m able to see a few of those being’s auras.”
“Their what?”
Huntsman let out a small sigh before explaining. “You might commonly know it as a ‘soul’. It’s the essence of your being. I’ve trained myself to track such items down, it helps locate rare items. As it stands, that’s all I’m able to see.”
“Oh…can you see everyone?”
“Yes…”
“What do they look like?” Bai inched closer, crawling onto the counter to peer out the window. Giving a smile to Huntsman as he rolled his shoulder before he started.
“The human is a weird orange, like too deep of a gold color that pushed past that a while ago. The chef is a deep pink and it shines weirdly. It has a lot of energy. Dragon girl is a vibrant green…I think flames and sparks are flying from it. Interesting. Redson is a deep red, almost a black, color, fully engulfed in flames. That monkey child-”
“MK? He’s not a monkey, he’s human.” Bai frowned.
Huntsman looked over with a raised brow before nodding. “Yeah, sure, we'll go with that. MK’s is a vibrant yellow, I can’t really look at it for too long. Wukong’s pure gold, warm, and definitely showing age but still vibrant. The six-eared demon’s is as dark as his shadows, I’m only able to see it due to it seeming to shimmer purple along its edges.”
“Ooooh…what about Sandy?” That question caused Huntsman to flinch and look away from the window. Bai tilted her head in confusion. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing.”
“You sure, you look really nervous suddenly.”
“It’s fine.”
“Okay…then what does Sandy look like?”
“...It’s blue…a soft blue, but also not. It reminds me of the ocean. It’s calmer on the surface, the water barely moves and the color is a light blue. It’s all…comforting. But below that surface, I see a lot more. Its strength, power, hidden under a well constructed barrier and I’m starting to see cracks… I’m worried for him.”
Bai looked between Huntsman and Sandy. The demon had a familiar look on his face when his eyes were on the large blue being. It was something she’s seen on Macaque for a few days after the Lady Bone Demon incident. When his eyes were on Wukong and the golden monkey wasn’t paying attention.
“Oh, you like Sandy.” That caused Huntsman to leap away from her and the window. Bai sees a familiar silver decorating the demon’s cheeks. “You do like him! All you spider demons have weird love lives.”
“I don’t need notes from a child!” Huntsman huffed as Bai giggled softly.
“When did you meet Sandy?”
“During a botched mission…kind of… He…spared my life. Even after I did so much damage… Showed me a different kind of strength.”
“Okay… I don’t know what that means.”
“It doesn’t matter, nothing will come from this. Even if I found some way to escape this prison, I’m…not something he deserves.”
“Maybe you should ask him that.”
“There’s nothing for it child, leave it be…”
“I can pass a message on for you, if you’d like?”
“It’s better he forgets about me.”
“Bai, are you doing okay?” Sandy suddenly appeared, worry disappearing when he found the girl standing in the kitchen. “Ah, there you are! Is something wrong, are you okay?”
“Oh…I’m fine! I was just-” Bai turned back to the spider demon. Only to find the space empty. “...I was just having an issue reaching the sink.”
“I’m sorry, I should have come with you. Don’t worry! We’ll get this sorted out in no time. How about we grab a few more snacks before we head back down, huh?”
“Sure…” Bai kept her attention high, hoping to see the spider demon once more. But it was quiet for the rest of the night.
After all she’d seen, Bai hated the idea of these beings stuck somewhere between life and death with no way to escape. So, she started to research. Well, research as best she could. Librarians were a little concerned with a child who asked about books on black magic. Immediately being told those books were not appropriate for people her age and was directed towards the children’s section of the building. Bai trying not to be too upset about this. After all, they thought they were doing a favor for her.
Once she was left alone, Bai crept out and wandered the shelves on her own. Spending a few hours pouring over the thick volumes. Taking pictures when she could sneak it in and departing when the sky became dark and announcements for closing time were sounded. Even with all she had, Bai was confused over the information she’d collected.
There was also the issue of she wasn’t even sure what she was supposed to be looking for.
She could have asked Macaque for help. The Shadow Warrior acting as another parent or a big brother to her. But Bai didn’t want to worry him. Knowing Macaque would freak out hearing what she’s experienced the past few months. So Bai determined that she would do her best. But if it reached a point where she had no way forward, she would talk to other as a last attempt.
But a month into her determined path, Bai felt no closer to her original goal than when she started. She’d read through every book she could get her hands on and could actually read. Those written in another language had numerous pictures taken of them and translated when she arrived back home. The internet offered nothing up as interest in the information Bai was looking into had been dropped years ago.
It all resulted in nothing more than a number of theories and speculations. Not the concrete understanding Bai had been hoping for. It was all so frustrating. Even more so when she’d not seen another spider demon for so long. Wondering if she’s taken too long and they were too far gone to be saved at this point.
The latter fear was dispelled quickly when Bai was returning to the library once more. Phone out as she read over the translated pages once more following the familiar path. Only to stop short from entering the building seeing a blue form resting in the shadows of the tall building. Bai instantly recognized the form of the Spider Queen.
Without her large mecha spider legs to ride on, the queen felt smaller to the child. The decorative crown was also missing, allowing her long hair to hide her face. But even from a distance, Bai could tell the demon was exhausted.
Previous plan forgotten, Bai walked over to where the other was sitting. Locking her phone so she didn’t push something by accident before placing it to her ear. Sitting down next to the Spider Queen, who’s frown deepened as her eyes flickered over to Bai. The girl in question wasn’t bothered by the glare she was being given, merely kicking her legs.
“Hi,” Bai said as she pretended to talk into the phone, making it appear she was taking a call. But looked over to the queen to make proper eye contact.
“...Are…you talking to me?” Spider Queen hissed out.
“Of course, I hope this isn’t too weird. Or sudden. But I wasn’t expecting to…be able to talk to you.”
“What do you want from me, child. I have no desire to talk to the person who threw me into a furnace.”
“Hey, that’s not fair, that wasn’t directly me! I…wasn’t feeling like myself.”
“...Possession…suppose it is unfair to blame this all on you. You’re a victim just like us. Doesn’t mean I wish to talk to you.”
“But I want to help. I’ve…met your family.”
Spider Queen instantly looked up, eyes showing hope instead of distrust. “You have? Are they okay?”
“They’re…just as confused as you are. They don’t know where they are or what’s happening or how to escape. There’s a lot of no one knowing anything. I’m the only person who can see them and they can only see me.”
“...How many times have you seen them?”
“Only once. I keep an eye out for them, but it doesn’t help. I guess I only get to meet them once and never again? It’s weird…”
“Then I suppose this is going to be our only chance to talk.”
“I guess. I’m trying to help though, I keep looking to find ways to bring you all back. But…I’m not really sure what I’m looking for. It’s all so confusing.”
“...I can’t offer much in the way of information. I’m assuming my subjects have told you what they’re experiencing.”
“They say it’s dark, they can only see me, and they can hear the others but not see them. That was it.”
“Suppose that’s the same situation for me. But I’m not hearing anything…”
“I’m sorry…I wish I could give you better news.”
“...I don’t blame you child.”
“Do you know where you are at least? I could be able to find-”
“Child, I thank you for your attempts to help. But this, whatever this is, it’s beyond your skill or knowledge to help… I ask that you forget about us. I don’t believe this can be fixed.”
“But…But that’s unfair. You and your family shouldn’t be left there. We can fix it, I promise.”
“You would need to have outside help for this child and I don’t know who you could turn to for that information. Please, you’ve suffered enough. Go live your life and think of us no more…that’s what you need. Move beyond this.”
And in a blink of an eye, Spider Queen was gone. Bai left alone on the bench, phone slowly lowering from her ear. Suddenly feeling…very small. Feeling like the child that so many people saw her as. But instead of feeling sorrow, Bai felt a rush of determination. Cheeks puffed out in frustration, she put her phone away and rushed off. Going away from her previous destination and towards a new one.
Bai had been to the dojo a number of times. By herself and with MK in tow. Macaque given word that both humans were welcomed there any time. Even if the Shadow Warrior wasn’t there to greet them. It was no issue for Bai to find her way there. Knocking on the door and, receiving no answer, slipped in easily. The dojo was revealed empty with one quick look around. So Bai sat on the large training mat and patiently waited.
Macaque was not ready to walk in to find Bai. Sitting calmly in the middle of his home. Not training, just…there. It was a moment of exchanged looks before Macaque said, “Um…hey kid. What’s up?”
“I need help.”
That caused Macaque’s fur to stand on edge. “What? What’s wrong, are you okay, did someone hurt you?”
“No, I’m fine with that but…” Bai sighed softly. Smiling softly as a hand was placed on top of her head.
“It’s okay, you can talk to me.”
So she did, leaving nothing out as Bai tells what she’s experienced the past few months with the spider demons. What each one has told her. What they were experiencing and what that could mean. How she’d tried to research on her own to find some sort of solution. How it amounted to nothing and she was confused on what to do. Ending with the conversation she’s just held with the queen and hated how she wasn’t able to solve this.
Macaque, on his part, took it all in quietly. A frown on his face. Not looking angry. More confused and worried. When Bai fell silent, the Shadow Warrior gave a slow exhaled breath as he processed everything. “...Okay, so, why are you here then?”
“I want your help,” Bai said, eyes shining with determination, “I want to get the spider demons back.”
“...Alright. But we’re going to need more help than just me.”

Lego monkie kid Au's (May or may not get a full fanfic but it's a bit unlikely. Credit if you want to write fanfic though)
Also if if the title is linked means I wrote a fanfic with the idea or someone else did it! .
TW- MENTIONS OF Abandonment issues, Manipulation,Death, ect-
- Fallen Dreams (Based on Omari slightly)
Au where Mk's life is a bit messy now. Since his work and being monkie kid, he doesn't have time for anyone anymore. Mei and Mk's friendship is drifting sadly. Of course Mei wouldn't leave Mk.
But Mk's abandonment issues make him think that everyone will leave him. And Sun Wukong isn't what Mk expected. Sun Wukong is cold to Mk, due to him knowing that mortals live short lives and dosent want to get attached to Mk. Mk thinks that's because he's an embarrassment to Monkie king.
So made his dreams a coping mechanism. In his dreams, his eyes are covered with flowers, leaving his mouth to be seen. His hair is more fluffy and poofy. Everyone is happy and barely any bad traits. In the real world, everyone is kinda worried that Mk is spending so much time sleeping and dosent want to be woken up.
(Bonus points if LBD finds out of Mk's coping mechanism and use it to her advantage)
- Lonely voice (Based on repeated consequences on A03, read tags before reading)
Mk is stuck in a Calabash. In the calabash, "everyone" hates him. They hurt him. Gaslight him. ect. Of course it's not real and everyone cares for him. But Mk dosent know that.
He thinks that everyone hates him. Except for one, Macaque. Macaque basically manipulates Mk into thinking that he's the only one who cares for Mk. And Mk is being a brat for not realizing that his "friends" hate him now.
Of course in the real world everyone is worried since Mk has been gone for like 2 months now. And when he gets out of the Calabash, he's... different... Think of him like Jinx from Arcane. He's having hallucinations or delusions that his friends hate him. And unfortunately developeds Stockholm syndrome to Macaque.
(Bonus points if everyone cries in the end and it's not a happy ending...?)
- Host fit for a demon (Based on @ cinna.mei.roll au on tiktok )
LBD puts a fillet on Mk. And LBD threatens Mk that she will hurt the host.
In S2EP5 LBD puts a fillet on Mk. Mk being the hardcore Monkie king fan he is. Is terrified. LBD threatens him if he dosent do what she wants. She will hurt the host. Mk is scared for the host and offers LBD to use the fillet on him.
(Mk extremely downplaying the pain of the fillet)
LBD decides to accept but still hurt the host if MK isn't complying. Also LBD holds Mk captive. So his friends are worried for him. LBD hurts Mk enough to make him do things without question.
(Bonus points if Mk beats Sun Wukong up)
- Cold stares (Based of Shattered destiny on A03)
After the events of S2EP5, Mk can't sleep. He can never sleep remembering that he stupidly accidentally helped LBD. He tried to take his mind off it but any slight thing that can be related to LBD makes him freeze. He's terrified and keeps slowing down at work. Pigsy started to worry for Mk.
He noticed that anytime Mk is near something cold he looks scared. And he started to notice bags under his eyes and slowing down at work. Pigsy tried to reach out to Mk, but Mk always reassured Pigsy that he's fine. It gotten so bad that Tang started to worry for Mk.
Mk dosent like people worrying about him. He started to find a way of fixing this mess. He started having nightmares? visions? Anyway it's trying to tell him something. A way to get rid of the LBD. It does requires him to "Give up a worthy worthless body" So he gives up his body. Unsurprisingly it was actually LBD.
(Bonus points if Mk half dies)
- Ghost (Based on Self destruction au on A03 and some elements taken from Puppet boy on A03)
This idea of fanfic is basically Mk trying to be alive again and or him trying to leave the mortal realm because his soul is stuck there.
Soo Mk dies. When he had his talk with the LBD. He wakes up to everyone near him. Crying, Mk is asking why is everyone crying and why can't he feel anything? Then he gets up and realize that he's a ghost. His body is there.... dead...
Then he sees Pigsy getting mad at Wukong, but Tang stopped him. Mk's hearing is a bit muffled.. As he walked near Mei who's crying her eyes out... He accidentally went through her.. She felt a slight shiver..
(Bonus points if Wukong tries to feed him the peach of immortality and tries to go to the underworld to erase Mk's name)
- New home (Idea from the fanfic You can stay here on A03)
How Mk became Pigsy's and Tang adoptive parents.
Young Mk is near a noodle shop. He's trying to find leftover cash from the noodle shop to buy some noodles. Mk likes this noodle shop because they actually let him inside. Other noodle shops would not let him inside because he's a "dirty child".
Also because the chef would occasionally lend him some clothes. And the random man who's always sitting near in the noodle shop would tell him stories of the great Monkie king. They also give him some other items but Mk usually dosent accepts.
Mk dosent really have a home. His parents are somewhere...? And he sometimes stays with a girl named Mei. He doesn't want to be a bother to them though so he would just sleep near the noodle shop.
Until the chef had enough and brought him inside and got him clean and basically adopted him.
(Bonus points if this is a happy ending)

ok its been nagging at me for a while so ill just say it ^^|| when i dunk on apho, im mostly talking about specific, nitty gritty things, like the lack of bronya’s prosthetics! however, i want to make it clear that while there are definitely some unanswered questions that Very Much Need To Be Answered, i still enjoyed both apho 1 and 2. i love carole’s spunkiness and her likeness to early game kiana, i love (and relate to) timido’s valkyrie fangirling, i appreciate welt and joachim’s appearances, i was especially excited to see bronya and mei reintroduced, i enjoy the way adam names the mobs after tarot cards, etc.
so when i point out things im not exactly satisfied with in apho, its kinda weird to see people tag or just say outright that they hate apho in general. it’s kind of a gong show, but it has its merits too, which i appreciate a lot! there are so many little lore and trivia tidbits that i think we take for granted, you know?
tldr while everyone has a right to talk about what they think of a piece of media, id still like to say that even if it has flaws, be it with lore/accuracy, it can still have redeeming qualities, and better yet, be enjoyable.

So I've finished Book Three of 2ha and I have thoughts...
They're going to be negative, so I won't tag this, so it won't show up in the 2ha tag. I'm also putting it under a read more. (It's not about the rape.)
So they're back at that situation. Rip in the fabric of thingie, evil ghosts coming into the world, somebody is getting shanked. Chu Wanning lets Mo Ran bleed out, fixes the rift. Up to here, all good.
And then.
This fucking book.
Ruins everything.
Suddenly, we learn that Mo Ran misunderstood something.
Chu Wanning wanted to save Shi Mei, wanted to save Mo Ran, but he had to stay away for their safety, so it was never his fault. He never did anything wrong!
What kind of lazy, sorry-ass excuse for a plot twist is that, ffs!
CWN was never wrong in the first place! Of course he would have chosen to protect the rest of the world, including everyone from the sect, even at the cost of one of his disciples!
That was the whole beauty of it! That he had to make this incredibly hard decision and he made it and now he has to live with the consequences.
The whole issue between him and Mo Ran has never been a misunderstanding, it has been that they never fucking communicated, never bothered to understand each other, that Mo Ran took that one moment of pain in his life and used it as an excuse to be the biggest fucking piece of shit you can imagine and never even considered that maybe what he did was worse, so, so much worse than what CWN had done.
And now he has the chance to go back and do it better. But he is still stuck in that same fucking mindset, right up until that point he realises it was a misunderstanding.
What were those first two books even for??? What were those two years in which they grew closer to each other, learned to be by each other's side peacefully, that could have served as Mo Ran's character growth, if not a huge slap in the face the moment we learn it was all just a misunderstanding.
No need for character growth then. No need for Mo Ran to learn anything.
It could have been his chance to realise, he did not have to go down that same path again. Maybe have him be in a similar situation. I mean, he was, already, watching Chu Xun sacrifice his own son to save the rest of the people. It could have been his chance to start an actual emotional connection with CWN and outgrow his hatred, not because it was a misunderstanding, but because he learned to forgive. Maybe could have learned that CWN hated himself for that decision, was plagued by it, yet still had to stand by it. Learned to make different decisions, learned to actually talk to that person he had by his side for ten years.
But hey, no need for any of that. After all, it was only a misunderstanding.
Everything, every single little thing they learn about each other in those three books, they learn either while one side is not aware of it (Xia Sini) or from another person (Xue Meng). They never learn to actually communicate with each other; Mo Ran simply holds on to his irrational hatred all this time, without ever questioning it.
And that hatred?
What is the author trying to tell us about how justified that hatred is by turning CWN's decision into a misunderstanding? That it was actually justified? That Mo Ran was right to hate CWN the way he did, if only it hadn't been a misunderstanding?
CWN had to be perfect, flawless, not make a single wrong decision, he had to sacrifice himself and die for Mo Ran, unblemished, for the author to consider him worthy of Mo Ran's love.
What kind of fucked up, lazy writing is this???
There were a lot of parts of that story I still liked. A lot of the scenes were still quite nice, even though the author is clearly not experienced enough to make the story stand on its own without the CP, and even though she tends to overexplain things to the point that they grow tedious. A lot of the NPC dialogue could have been cut. But still, it was a fun read.
But that plot twist? Made me lose all trust that she could bring this story to a satisfying end.
