Notes 🗒️ - Zhongli x Neuvillette x Reader, They’re possessive, Lots of headcanons related to how I think dragons work, Furina mentioned like once.

Having two old possessive dragons fight for your attention, that’s what your relationship is. You always have one of them clinging to you, a hand always on your back or holding yours. Eventually they learn to share you, but they still get fussy if you give more attention to the other.

I imagine you would stay at Zhongli’s home in Liyue and Neuvillette’s home im Fontaine, traveling back and forth between the two nations. During festivals and holidays in one nation the other will usually come and visit.

At home they love being in their half-dragon forms, or even full dragon forms if you’re okay with it!

Zhongli curling around your legs while Neuvillette buries his face into your stomach, they’re basically like two big clingy puppies!

They get so sad when you’re gone for extended periods of time, especially Neuvillette. It’s not very often, but sometimes Neuvillette gets so sad and pouty without you and Furina would basically be forced to give him a short vacation to visit you to stop the rain in Fontaine. She also partially does it because Zhongli would have her head, but she doesn’t admit that.

Usually with Neuvillette you can tell when he’s missing you upset because he’ll always have a slight pout on his face and it will be pouring in Fontaine. Zhongli is a bit harder to figure out. He usually buries himself in work at the funeral parlor and becomes a bit quieter than usual.

The two of them are so possessive of you, primarily because of there instincts. There’s been several times someone had gotten too touchy with you for their liking and they’d come up behind you, hand on your waist while you hear a low growl emanating from them.

They purr!!! I just know they do. Zhongli does it a bit less than Neuvillette, his are also a lot softer and quieter so it’s harder to tell when he is.

They also love cuddling with you. Neuvillette wrapping his arms around your hips with his face pressed into your tummy and Zhongli burying his face into your neck or hair, hands resting on your chest and jaw. The sound of their purring just filling the room because they’re so happy to be with you.

They really like if it you play with their hair, especially Zhongli. He loves feeling your fingers dragging along his scalp! Neuvillette is a bit nervous about it because of his horns but once you do start to comb your fingers through his hair he just melts. Absolutely would let you style his hair if you asked.

Zhongli would take you out on a lot of dates to fancy restaurants, long walks through Liyue, really anything! Neuvillette prefers to spend his time with you at home, cuddling in bed or having you sit in his lap while he works on something in his office.

They can and will shower you with gifts, especially jewelry. It’s partially because they’re dragons. Their instincts tell them to cover you in gold and jewels, because you’re their treasure!

Zhongli would absolutely call you his treasure, no hesitation. I don’t think Neuvillette would be very big on petnames alternatively, I just can’t think of any he would use.

Dottore’s younger segments (ones that are at earlier stages in his life (20s range)) being so whiny and needy for you.

You give them attention they craved for their whole existence (and attention Dottore himself craved when he was at that point in life), they can’t hep but cling to you, constantly feeding off your praise.

You always have one hanging off your arm, a sweet smile on their face as your trail your fingers through their curly hair. Dottore is seething anytime he sees this. The face that you’re giving anyone more attention than him, and one of his segments! Oughh, he’s about to lose it. Then you have the audacity to give them names, something easier to call them instead of their serial numbers you say.

Gets to the point Dottore starts making excuses to pull you away from his segments, even going as far as to just pry them off you.

Could i request an angst (sfw) where characters someone close dies or goes missing, and the reader is either a very close friend of the character or a romantic partner.

And they are shit at comforting, and so the character maybe opens up to then asks for comfort or is just distant (or however characters would act by what u think), and they dont know what to do. Shoukd they help? what to say? and so on, and that maybe gets a bad reaction out of character or pushes then away or they understand character is bad at comforting and so on.

Characters i would like to ask for: tartaglia(ajax), zhongli, diluc, xiao and scara.

(idk who could have died, but maybe scaras and zhongkis past? zhongli for when he was morax and maybe archon war or just when people close to him would die. for ajax maybe family or close friend? further i cant think of anyone.. no need that it has to be specified anyways)

Ajax ✤

It wasn’t often you’d see your boyfriend become closed off at the sight of death. He often welcomed it, seeing it as another step in life, and if one died in battle he saw it as an honor.

But something changed when his older sister died.

He became quiet, spending most of his free time with you and his family, clinging to you and his siblings. The way he stared at you, he almost seemed terrified, terrified you’d die as well.

You tried your hardest to comfort him, help him through his greif, but it only made him close up more.

He loved you so much and didn’t want to lose you, in this he began to distance himself, believing you’d be safer if he wasn’t around because of his line of work.

Eventually he’d seemingly get over this roadblock, returning to his talkative self in public, happily bouncing banter back and forth between himself and his coworkers, playing with his younger siblings.

But in private you’d see how he’d close up again, often just holding you in his arms, any moment you’re gone for longer than you’d say you’d be he would panic, practically turning your home upside down as anxiety clawed at him.

You wanted to help Ajax so badly, but you just didn’t know how.

Anything you said or did only made him feel worse, he loved you so, so much, and you efforts to comfort him made him realize how terrified he was of losing you.

Zhongli ✤

He’s faced death over and over again through his immortal life, death of his friends, enemies, lovers, it’s something he’s learned to live with, especially working as a funeral consultant.

Or he thought he’d learned how to handle death.

One of Zhongli’s coworkers died and he suddenly becomes painfully aware of your mortality.

Zhongli’s usual dreamless sleep is suddenly filled with nightmares of you dying, watching your figure go limp before him.

You find him waking up in the middle of the night and clinging to you, gently pressing a hand to your neck or wrist, ear to your chest in an attempt to feel your pulse, confirm it was just a bad dream, that you’re still there with him.

One night you got up to go to the restroom and returned to find a panicked Zhongli, staring where you once laid with wide eyes.

Once he sees you he’s clinging to you, mumbling about how he was so worried he lost you as he grips onto your shirt, almost as if he were afraid you’d fade away.

All you can do is rub his back, tell him you’re not going anywhere, that you’re really there.

You notice how Zhongli becomes very protective of you, making sure there’s no way you could die under his watch.

But you both know as a mortal being, it’s inevitable, eventually you will pass on, Zhongli just can’t handle the truth yet and you don’t know how to help.

Diluc ✤

He hadn’t exactly come to terms with his fathers death yet, so when he saw you injured panic was all he felt.

He became uncomfortably aware of how dangerous everything was and how injury prone you were.

You find Diluc often trailing behind you, saying he just wants to be around you or has nothing better to do.

But you can tell there’s something wrong.

The way he stares at you, his panicked expression when you accidentally trip down the stairs or get into a scuffle with some slimes, how he holds you so gently.

You try to ask him about it but he shrugs and says he doesn’t know what you mean, or just ignores you.

You try you hardest to confront him, figure out whats wrong but he keeps pushing you away, saying he’s fine and you shouldn’t worry.

But you will worry, even if there’s nothing you can do to help him.

Xiao ✤

He didn’t need anyone close to him to die after you began dating for him to be constantly anxious over you.

He was so cold and distant at the start of your relationship, believing he would draw danger to you, but at the same time he wanted to be near you to protect you.

Doesn’t like it of you want to go on walks off the beaten path or do commissions as a hobby, theres so many chances for you to get hurt, or worse!

Insists on going with you if you are a member of the Adventurers Guild or just do commissions for extra mora. Denies any allegations that he worries for your well being, but you can see it in the way be panics if you even so much as get a paper cut.

Extremely protective of you.

When you mentioned how you were saving mora for retirement he was suddenly extremely aware of you mortality.

Sure he knew you could die from injury and sickness, but completely forgot you had such a short life span compared to his!

Will try to ignore the clawing anxiety in his stomach when he watches you grow older, watching wrinkles form on your face, gray hairs appear.

Will remain very distant, you can try to pry and ask what’s wrong but he’ll just brush you off.

You can’t do anything to sooth his anxiety. The most you can do is live the time you have with him to the fullest and hope he’ll soon get over this little worry.

He won’t though, you both know this.

Scaramouche/Wanderer ✤

Will fully deny and worry for you well being. In comparison to his immortal life your just a small spec, an insignificant person. Why should he care if you die?

Oh but he cares, he cares so much.

When he saw you returning from a scuffle with some Hilichurls all his warning alarms went off.

Sure he helped patch you up while scolding you for doing something so stupid. Get into a fight with a Lawachrul? You must have a death wish!

But the idea of you dying… scared him.

Scaramouche didn’t know why, of course you would die eventually! But the idea disturbed him.

The thought of your limp body, the loss of your warmth when you hugged him, your laughter gone. He hated the idea of losing you.

You noticed he seemingly became more protective of you, insisting on going on going with you on commissions, fussing over even the smallest injuries you receive.

You tease him about this, saying how it almost seems he actually cares for your well being.

Scaramouche denies it, obviously, but you don’t miss how he stares at you, his lingering touches, how he listens to your stories far more than he used to. Almost as if he’s afraid you’ll vanish at any moment.

Eventually you begin to worry and ask him about it. He scoffs and tells you your crazy, walking away without another word.

You can’t do anything to try and help him through these worries, he just rolls his eyes and mocks you if you try.

It’s frustrating! You want to help him but he won’t let you.

Scaramouche just learns to live with his constant worries about you, continuing to deny any such thing when you bring it up. Eventually he might crack under the constant worries and come running to you, but neither of you know if or when it will happen.
