How did you name your child(ren)?

I’m curious about, for those people who are coupled up, how other couples decide on the names of their kiddos. Are they a combination of names that you & your partner both like, maybe you chose the first and they chose the middle name? Did you decide on a name you both love? Did either one or the other of you choose the name solely? What about “random” names vs carrying names down in the family?

Curious to hear others’ experience, as we talk about names for our new little babe.
