I'm a baker at heart, if there is an occassion I am already thinking of what to make. Cakes for friends birthdays, cookies for events, merengue, bread or shortbread cookies for work related things.

Remember when everyone on Instagram was really into using royal icing for cookies? Yeah I was one of those people and the amount of cookie cutters I bought was ungodly. I still enjoy the fuck out of it and its a fun medium, but I'm not crazy about the taste of royal icing.

I also decorate cakes! My one absolute rule is that I never use fondant - hate the way it tastes. I've gotten creative using marshmallow fluff, moldable chocolate, peeps, and candies to create treats!

Let's see.... Three random facts about myself, huh?

I'm a leftie - and I kinda love being unique that way.

I am genuinely freaked out by alligators - don't even want to see them on screen or at the zoo! I can't even explain exactly why - they don't even live where I am - but they give me the creeps.

I like to dip my potato chips in mustard, and I like milk with pizza - really with anything that has a tomato-y type sauce - spaghetti, lasagna, etc. Many people have informed me both of those things are weird, but I like what I like. ;p

I am a petite 5'1 while my husband towers over me at 6'3. I owe my sons an apology for curtailing their height potential with my shrimpy genes.

Because the men in my extended family like their guns, several are marksmen/hunters, and one is military, I've shot a wide variety of different firearms...despite the fact that I'm actually terrified of guns. I just figure it's a useful skill to have for self-defense.

Once upon a time, I was gym rat who worked out with a personal trainer. Out of all the things I've had to give up since becoming a mom, I probably miss that the most.

Since both @cryingatships and @ranysflower sent me this, I suppose it's only in order that I answer with 6 random facts:

Tiny balcony, loads of plants. They teach me about life and about death.

No alcohol, coffee or tea - all sugar.

3 dl of oats, 1 dl of sugar, 1 dl of butter, 2 tbs of cocoa, 1 tbs of coffee, 1 tbs of milk, 0,5 tsp of vanilla sugar. Roll into balls, garnish with pearl sugar or sprinkles.

Forests. The old, mossy kind where trolls could live, with ferns and fallen trees and animals disappearing through the underbrush, where blotches of sun filter in through the canopies or mist lingers close to the ground as rain drips from the branches.

Tourist Spanish, mostly forgotten Japanese, bits of self-taught Korean.

I am ambidextrous, which is kind of nice, actually. :)

I passed French in college because I memorized the textbook for the final exam. I have a photographic memory, so it took me about eight hours to get through the book and commit it.

I can play the theme to the television show M*A*S*H on the clarinet. It has gotten me far in life, lemme tell ya... 🤣

THREE RANDOM FACTS LET'S GO--

I adore ketchup-- it makes everything taste better. Even chocolate cake.

I got the same tiny Strawberry Shortcake yellow horse figurine that smelled amazing and lost it both times.

I wrote a letter to my landlord (who is practically family) asking him to buy me a shih tsu puppy I saw in a pet store... in "legal writing". Apparently, he was impressed (though I don't have the letter to judge now to judge its merits.)

Ahh I've gotten a few, I hope I have more facts!

I love painting - I hate trusting my process. Hate it hate it hate it. As such, I have two oil paintings in progress that I keep putting off because I don't love oils and because I'm terrified of watching *the progress* Those paintings are: Kurama from Naruto in full nine tails glory, and a freestyle medusa piece. drawing bodies is hard and I wanna diieeee.

I got really into resin art a while back and made so many fucking things...I think my favorite use of it is making zodiac related items and keychains, but it's an exhausting and pricey process. Also not great for the environment so I've all but stopped using it.

I don't draw even a fraction of how much I used to as a kid, but damn I was like mildly good for my age! I was playing with realism and got intimidated halfway through my portriat of Pete Wentz and never got back to it. His face looked nice though!

My first toy was a pink, yellow and blue teddy bear. My whole life I refused to let Rattle Ted (original name ik 😂) go. I took him with me on holidays and school trips, not just when I was little either, I took him with me to Berlin when I was 17 sitting proudly in the back of my backpack like the lunatic I am. It still feels a little like fate whenever I look at him.

I dated and lost my soulmate when I was a teenager. Basically 15 year old me was an idiot! I left the love of my life for the new kid in school because my "best friend" started some weird competition so her actual best friend could date (and abuse cos she was lovely like that) the guy I coulda/woulda/shoulda.

My ex met my doppelganger. So as I was saying above, 15 yo me dated the new kid but that relationship was wild because his mum kicked him out and he ended up living in our spare room while we dated but this drove my stepdad nuts and I don't mean that like haha he'd yell and get mad I mean like he ended up in a psych ward after he tried to murder me a few weeks before my 16th birthday kinda nuts, but getting back to the point new kid moved to America about five years ago and got in touch recently to lmk he'd made an idiot of himself in the supermarket because apparently I have a very convincing lookalike.

I love beer, I like to discover and taste different kind of beers and I'm especially into small, local, independent breweries. Not a big fan of the more commercial brands

2. Nature is a healer to my soul. Be it a lawn, a wood, a field, a river, a lake, the hills or the sea, whenever I feel down, stressed, worried or whatever, I go for a walk in Nature and I find peace.

3. I figured out I'm bisexual at 13 but didn't date any girl until 20 because I was terrified of coming out to anyboby. I spent my high school years dating guys and having secret, dramatic, unrequited crushes on girls (hello heteronormativity. hello homophobia). The Universe compensated me for those years of suffering giving me a first same-sex kiss very Wilmon-style. Without any prior discussion of our sexuality, let alone any confession of our feelings, She went all in and bravely kissed me only based on her instinct. In a hallway, of all places!! Wilmon first kiss is SO personal to me!
