"My favorite bit of FPS trivia now and forever is that both Marathon and Rise of the Triad came out on the exact same day in 1994 - so neither can really claim to be the first game with dual wielding or rocket jumping."

Duke Nukem 3D (1996, 3D Realms)
Technically this is the 20th Anniversary World Tour version's GRP running in eDuke32 to fix basically all of that release's issues. No more baffling forced mouse acceleration and smoothing!
It's my favorite way to play Duke 3D now. The new lighting in every map is really, really nice.

I remember when some FPS characters (And others) showed up in this panel from a comic from the Turma da Mônica series.
Duke Nukem and Gordon Freeman are obvious but i'm also pretty sure above Duke is the Quake Shambler.

About time finishing angled RoTT weapon sprite sheet.
Thought it'd be easy but i was wrong. Perspective-wise they look still janky despite the fix. Feel free to use or improve.
As long as you give credit to 3D Realms, DenisBelmondo, Untrustable, HazeBandicoot, Blox, Dr_Cosmobyte, Raven Software, Zrrion the Insect, Ctrl+Alt+Destroy and Neoworm!
EDIT: Mega super ultimate update!! Significantly improved the Heatseeker, Drunken Missile and Split Missile. Also included African American version of the Pistol, Dark Staff and Combat Knife sprites!
btw i forgot to add a scaled Split Missile sprite at the bottom of the sheet. Whoops
