This is so sweet ahhhh! I thought only a handful of people would take the first poll when I made it—it’s so crazy to me that it’s at almost 200 responses and now other people are making polls about sunny fandom stuff they’re curious about too! It makes me so happy that I was able to spread some joy and creativity 💖

Since the gang fucker poll is at 192 right now my soonest plan involving polls is to make data update/write-in answers 2 posts once that reaches 200. So if anyone hasn’t done it yet there’s a bit more time! After that I’m not really sure—I’ve been kicking around the idea of favorite character and favorite ship vs opinions on popular headcanons. Would that be interesting to anyone else?

ok now u got me going about Bruce Mathis though and it's like. how much of his Oh I Love Charity stuff is performative given that's his entire identity. how much is he actually just like his kids in terms of being self centered he just has the moral high ground to do it. seeing Dennis and Dee as new trophies/People to Fix instead of kids he didn't get to raise who need help...maybe Bruce Mathis bad actually. I will have to rotate this in my mind further meet me on the big hill (Tumblr dashboard) at high noon (when the hell ever) so we can Bruce Mathis truth. I wonder what the overall fandom opinion is on him actually (I'm gonna guess only 2% of people have considered him at all since he's relevant only in the early seasons, but still I want to know)!

YES RIGHT his charity stuff feels so performative to me. And that extends to how he treats Dennis and Dee. He comes off to me way more like he cares about how good being a charitable person will make him look and cares about the image of the perfect family finally reunited than actually doing any real work towards either of those ends. I’m so glad I’m spreading my Bruce Bad propaganda. I don’t know about overall but I will say a lot of people in my thirst poll left comments that they didn’t like him lol

The things I like about Glenn I don't particularly covet in other people (curly hair, mentally unwell swagger, curls). This man is so attractive to me that I developed a whole new set of Desirable Attributes to covet in him. And before you ask--no, I'm not OK

So much hatred in your soul for curls you say it twice lol. Almost everyone I’ve dated has had curly hair including my wife! I have trouble understanding why anyone wouldn’t like curls they’re *chef kiss* to me.

It’s so interesting that he’s on an entirely different metric of attraction for you. My wife and I joke all the time about how similar her and Glenn are both in looks and personality and how I have such an obvious type. It’s funny to think he’s an exception for other people. What is it about him that makes those things attractive in him and not other people? Are there traits of his you DO like in other people? Does the fact that he’s funny factor in? Or is it mostly because of Dennis and how pathetic he is? Your mind is fascinating

fanfic tropes: miscommunication and one-sided pining

Miscommunication gets such a bad rep. I think it’s such a human problem to assume someone is thinking or feeling something they’re not or to word something poorly and give the wrong impression of your feelings. I know it can feel tedious if it’s overly drawn out but characters fundamentally misunderstanding one another and talking past each other… I eat that shit up. B+/A-

One-sided pining I understand why people like you but I do not. Idk, if I’m in the mood to read romance I just prefer it to be requited. If I want a fic about romance I want it to be about romance, y’know? One sided stuff just doesn’t interest me, personally. D.

Now, mutual pining that each party thinks is one-sided… A+

Least fav is Frank's Brother. I like most other sunny eps but idk this one doesn't do it for me

Yeah, agree. There are some individual jokes that I like, and I like how in the end Shadynasty wasn't really in love with Frank OR his brother it's just that racism (in part perpetuated by Frank and his brother) had kept her from her true love all these years, and I like that it ends with "nothing's really changed", but I still almost always skip it during rewatch. It's just a very bland ep to me despite the things I like about it.
