deca carrying around some kind of manual on how to act around humans and understand them (basic traditions/celebrations, affection, language use (slang, metaphors, insults, etc) affection, etc). thoughts?

Absolutely. He's got the general basics down but he has no clue how to act on a personal level. He's definitely the reason why mondern day Mondstadt has a lot of paper for Jean to burn out over. He's like "okay if you want something you gotta fill out this specific form and write down the specific costs and reasons for why you want something." He is very blunt and depending on the metaphor he's gonna need explanations.

I've wrote about my hc for how he and Amos meet, but when he realized he had a squish (a platonic crush) (he would not know that word 😔 ) that is when he sat down and read a couple poems about affection. He wouldn't get it, but assumes that whatever positive emotion he feels when he sees his good friend smile must be love.

He writes down stuff like "ok so giving more than 2 presents to a person a week makes them feel bad. Messaging a person everyday makes them feel happy but never more than 8 letters. Rolling your eyes is not physically rolling your eyes but more of a looking up. Nicknames are a thing."

Celebration wise, I don't think Old Mondstadt did a lot of celebrating. He would point out that a war was going on and the storm would make it incredibly difficult to measure time. However he would try his hardest to celebrate anniversaries with Amos cause he read thats something that should be done. Its not enough but he tried 😔

Now im thinking of him being the person to pen translation guides between elemental beings and humans. Like he's wrong on a lot of things but its mostly speculation and was supposed fo be for personal use. A certain wind wisp snuck into his tower and stole the very guide in order to befriend a certian bard. That duo ended up penning the 2nd edition of the book.

Huge comfort book, read it during grief counseling because it was a gift from my dad. I don’t even remember what it was about but i was insane about it when I was 11

Was assigned to me and one other kid with the same reading level in seventh grade and I was so mad, everyone else got cool YA novels and I was so jealous. Then I finished it in two days and didn’t shut up about it for weeks.

Septimus Heap series by Angie Sage

Counting the whole series as two books but my two favorites are Queste and Fyre. The septimus heap series is the reason I never read h*rry p*tter because I got a few chapters in and went “this wizard book fucking sucks why would I read this instead of *my* wizard book that Angie Sage wrote for me specifically” and I was so right it's such a fun series. The main character’s best friend is named Beetle. O Beetle Beetle. That’s his name. Also I had a crush on Marcia but ignore that.

I loooove big nonfiction books about like one specific topic with tons of pictures. Love to look at things love to see them. My astronomy text book has fold-out pages of super high-def pictures of space and I love it.

I love to recommend recent books I’ve read so my most recent read I’d recommend is The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison. I’m not gonna review it because I. Won’t shut up if I do. I have a seven page research essay abt it if u rlly want my thoughts dfgsfhs.

20. What are things you look for in a book?

I’m super particular about what I read because I lose interest in things so fast, so I love a book that challenges me. Any book that I find too predictable or lacking in depth I drop so fast. My bus driver wrote a book and he wanted me to review it and I never had the heart to tell him I got bored after the third chapter. Sorry Michael I’m sure it was a good book. ✊😔

because of school i can barely do shit and also im bad at time management and also since our school's turning 50 next month we are doing weeks....for example "french week" "science week" yea alot of activities...its so fun!!...kinda slayful our school is doing entertaining stuff and is not monotone af😭

this week was french week it was so fun...we decorated the school the week before,on monday we had a whole ass assembly where we sang + prayed + had poems and the ambassador of fucking france was here boi,he also was present to give students their delf b2 (a french exam) diplomas

...fun fact: i'm gonna go do this exam in july😔..and did i start practicing?...no...i mean i've been starting to speak french at home and with my friends haha...its fine...haha...ha..😭,(since there's so many weeks we only did the delf introduction class...so yea...we haven't practiced yet...deadass) uhh what else we also had poems read in the assembly and there was karaoke session during recess on tuesday, then wednesday there was a dance in recess ,thursday there was a mini tea party for the teachers during the break, a FUNNY AND GOOFY ASS play about a disaster wedding done by the 11th graders😭
