AESL is my spec evo project which is a seed world in a far future where humans where able to bring back extinct species. The planet where it takes place , was used by humans as an experiment and they brought extinct species on it. However one day they vanished and planet was left alone. "Modern" days AESL take place after 40-50 my after disappearence of humans.

fun fact, i was caught up on thrilling intent probably between 5 and 7 years ago now! Now I am restarting the show, and realizing I have now seen less than half of it before, and remember EVEN LESS THAN THAT!

currently I have just finished The Gods Are Gone, so no please no spoilers of what happens past that point. Like I said, I remember so little! Wizard Highschool was about the limit of where I could remember what was going to happen next, and even those memories were fuzzy.

sorry, no timelapse this time as i discovered that it was messing with my computer. also, i redrew markus and adjusted aeslings drawing slightly.

Rakefish are a group of marine chelicerates which are bottom feeders (sweep-feeders) that slowly crawl at the oceanic floor in search of food and mates. Depth at which some species can be found is very diverse , from shallow brackish ones to deep ones. However during breeding season all of them go to various coasts or shallow waters where females will lay thousands of eggs. Females are usually much bigger than males which is related with females being forced to travel huge distances to lay eggs , risk of predation while being vulnerable at land/coastal water and even some species also having to deal with changing water pressure as they move from their native deep waters. When not breeding or mating , rakefish are either solitary or live in small groups. Though huge amount of food in the same space (for example: huge carcass) can attract huge amounts of rakefish which will take opportunity to feed on it. Common feeding tactic of rakefish is sweep-feeding which is raking with their limbs through ocean floor in search of anything edible. Small shellfish , soft invertebrates and rotting organic material are their preferable food items. Some species like *abyssal rakefish* can feed on algae and different rotting plant material , which in case of abyssal rakefish is adaptation for food scarcity common in deep waters. Some rakefish are efficient burrowers , burrowing to either find food or hide. Opisthosoma of rakefish is a huge store for fat , it is especially helpful for females in breeding season. However it also attracts some predators which are aware of those fat rich part of rakefish. Rakefish are usually skittish to other animals and prefer to hide or run from potential threats. However front "rake" limbs of rakefish can be a formidable weapon if used in offense. Edges of some segments have sharp , knife like shape which in the first place evolved to efficiently rake through ocean floor.

Aesling, from Thrilling Intent! God I miss her. It's a pretty simple drawing but it was mostly for continued experimentation with shading. Apparently there's something called a Transparency layer in Krita that you can use to make certain parts of something lighter? Gotta experiment with that some more.

I wonder how her interactions with Mercy would go. Something tells me she's horrible with children.
