-blows dust off this blog-
So
Little Nightmares III, huh???
I was trying to avoid being excited about it because no solid release date and 2024 could be a few months from now or a year from now and Idk how long I can handle being so fuckin hyped for this game YEEHAW
BUT I CAN'T, I KEEP THINKING ABT THE GAME AAHAHHGAGA
so here are my thoughts, if you wanted to know
FIRST OF ALL, i am so glad that after we saw LTNM II we thought it'd be co-op but it was just an AI, that we finally get co-op! AND ONLINE TOO, i spent the first day worried it'd be shared screen same room situation since i wasn't trying to get my hopes up but then I realised I can just.. google it.. AND IT IS!!! ONLINE!! IDK WHO I AM GONNA PLAY IT W FIRST AAAAAAAA
anyways, you can definitely tell it's a new studio working on this game, the world feels mostly the same but the character designs themselves are definitely stylistically similar, but not the same. With Six especially, the MC designs were very simplistic and realistic but used colour (or for Mono, a single design quirk being the bag) to stand out against their backgrounds and against the enemies which are largely neutral colours. But these new ones feel... "over designed"? On their own they definitely aren't, but in comparison to Mono, Six, Seven, and even NPCs like the flashlight girl, they have a lot more going on (especially the little wrench kid, Idk which one is Alone and which one is Low yet btw OOP)
Despite it being a new studio and you can tell, new puzzles and environments, they're still doing their best to have the OGs vibes and whatnot to feel familiar, namely in the trailer they bring back the fuses, and the additional gameplay video there's a short scene with an environment with all the shelves you can find in LTNM 1s gnome section (the one with the cart that is affected by the Maws swaying).
But regardless, it still feels different enough my brain is still nervous about it. I also feel In A Way about Tarsier having LTNM II explode and their franchise getting the attention it deserves, only to have it stuck with Bandai and now it's going to likely explode again and they aren't involved. Idk how anyone on that team feels about it, but if it were me omg.
Also the only boss we've seen so far (i hope they add more and i def want some to be a surprise so im not gonna assume this is the only one for now) feels... out of place? it has the design qualities of a LTNM boss, but the size of it makes it more of a spectacle than a warped/corruption of an adult. All the previous bosses fit in their environment, we are the small ones and they are scaled to the world around them. This is the first time, outside monster Six who imo is a bit of an outlier anyways due to her circumstances, we're getting a boss who is this huge and doesn't even fit their own environment. I hope we get a lore reason for this in some way, because currently the boss doesn't have the same vibe as the others and it's throwing me off a bit. Don't get me wrong, it'll be terrifying, but looking at the picture as a whole they are sort of out of place for me rn. I don't hate the bitch either, I'm not gonna be like omg get rid of it or change it, but it does strike me as odd seeing it for now.
And yes the tall man is too tall for a lot of things, but he's not THAT big. He's more like yer tall guy who hits his head off doorways, which happens irl anyways LMAO
Little Nightmares primarily tries to capture the feeling of being a small child and how everything is big and scary, but a doll that huge is out of the realm of reality set up for us already. It's gone from scary corrupted animal to godzilla, if that makes sense.
OH AND THE MIRRORS ARE VERY LTNM COMICS OF THEM TEE HEE < 3

Mono x GN!reader relationship headcanons
💞Okay, okay. So we all know, he would be so loving and would do anything for you.
💞Now he would be very protective of you, and when I say very, I mean very. You are basically the only person he has, if anything bad we’re to happen to you he couldn’t take it! He persuades you to just let him do all the work.
💞He would be a jealous baby, would cry if you gave affection to bread. He wants you to give him all your love and affection, and allll your time. He of course does the same for you, but his reasoning for wanting so much affection is because nobody is really there for him, just you.
💞Even though he is jealous often, he is still, very shy and awkward. He is very nervous about everything and makes up unrealistic scenarios. Like what if one day you just disappear, omg are you gonna die, DO YOU HATE ME??? You have to also reassure him he isn’t hugging you wrong at the start of the relationship.
💞You are like the majesty in his world. You’re perfect, outstandingly gorgeous, have a beautiful smile, and an amazing personality. He will get you whatever you want, as long as it’s realistic of course. He would also worship the ground you walk on, and you as well.
💞Please tell him you love him and you know he’s trying his best. He gets worried that he’s not good enough and is just generally insecure. He sometimes feels as though he’s not worthy of your love and needs to know that you won’t leave him. Once you remind him how awesome he is, he kisses your forehead and tells you how lucky he is to have you.

Six x GN!Reader relationship headcanons
💛I’m sure we all know that she can be a littleee oblivious to some thing in just social and romantic relationships in general. She probably will always be that way.
💛She is pretty protective of you sort of like Mono, but in a more.. murdery way? I can just imagine her walking up to you with blood all over her coat and face like “Something happened.” But she isn’t as protective as Mono and knows you aren’t helpless.
💛Six is a little shy in her own way. She’s oblivious as heck sometimes, but when she realizes you’re being affectionate she gets all flushed up and tries to act like she isn’t blushing. She isn’t sure how to approach affection and may need your help sometimes.
💛She does not mind at all if you want to go somewhere with her or help her with something. Like I said at one point, she knows you aren’t helpless and will let you do dangerous stuff with her sometimes. However, she really likes to into account of your limits and be sure whether or not you should come with her to some places.
💛She is not affectionate, like at all. She’ll try to be if you want her to but fails miserably. You could hug her and she’d be like “Why are you touching me?” It’s not even that she means to be, she’s is just not used to it at all. If you like affection than you would have such a hard time with her. But, she’d still show that she loves you in other way, you love her too right?

Omg little nightmares 1 & 2 are literally my favourite games of all time! No other game has ever emotionally sucker punched me that hard while also making me shit my pants lmao. Also the scene in the mv where Lino sits on the bed reminds me so much of how you wake up after dying in the game. And Chan's scene where he's cornered and they're all grabbing at him makes me think of the hospital corridor where the puppet arms all try to catch Mono. Anyway, I think I gotta go replay those games 😅 Also here's a thought: purple haired Lino cosplaying as Six. I just feel like he'd make a great Six you know? They should really do more horror concepts. Ok I'm done rambling now. Just had to get my little nightmares feelings off my chest.
omg your mind <3333 I really love those games too, you're so right with the comparisons hehe :3 I think lee know would make an amazing six too, he's got the cute menace vibe down. I really wanna draw that now xD

As someone who is Starting to watch stranger things and doesn’t mind spoliers I would like to hear the similarities between Mono and Henry creel, it sounds interesting
omg sorry for taking FOREVER to respond to this but i wanted to make sure i had all my thoughts together perfectly idk
but anyways yeah here’s my mono/henry comparison:
first is something more superficial but still interesting is that mono means “one” and obviously henry = 001
both betray their friend (who are both ironically young girls whose names are a number), however neither of them really view what they’ve done as bad/betrayal (obviously with mono still being the protagonist at this point in the game we know he’s doing the right thing, whereas henry is very obviously in the wrong)
this interaction between henry and el perfectly describes mono and six’s ending: “you tricked me!” “tricked you? no i saved you.” so in st4 henry manipulates el into helping him removing the tracker that suppressed his powers so he can kill everyone at the lab and escape. he doesn’t view his actions as wrong bc he was still planning to help el get out of the lab, and he doesn’t think killing the kids is wrong bc, in his words, he “freed them” from the grasps of dr. brenner. in ln2, you have to use six’s trust in mono to trick monster!six into going after you, to which you run through the portals and smash her music box behind her back. mono knows that six is bound to the signal tower through the music box (or at least that how i interpret it; basically mono is willing to do whatever he can to get his friend back) but six doesn’t see this. i’ve written about it before but i think she was in a trance similar to that of the viewers, and mono breaking her music box not only physically hurt her but broke her out of the safety of that trance and into their dangerous world. mono wants to get his friend back, but six only sees that he’s betrayed her trust
after the betrayal, both mono and henry are then turned on by their young friend, who “kills” them by sending them to an alternate realm of some sort (and in the most dramatic of ways possible lol; six could have just walked off instead of catching mono and dropping him, and el could have just snapped henry’s neck and been done with it, but they live for the drama of it all and honestly? good for them) (also ik the upside down is much more of an alternate reality than the signal tower but it’s still very much a supernatural entity that can alter reality in a way so i say it counts) neither of them knew that they would survive this, but of course we know that isn’t the case… which leads to the next big point:
both become monsters after being imprisoned and isolated from the world; mono becomes the thin man after being trapped in the signal tower for decades, henry becomes 001 and is trapped in the lab for 2 decades, then is sent to the upside down where he’s imprisoned again and becomes vecna
with both of these transformations we see the characters letting their anger and loneliness consume them, as well as them being overtaken by a desire for revenge
now some sightly less major similarities that i still thought i’d point out bc it’s kinda neat:
thin man kidnaps children through the tvs according to the LN comics (i imagine he kills them too but don’t quote me on that), 001 killed the kids in the lab who had been kidnapped by brenner
the unsettling twinkling music that plays when we first meet henry in 4x05 reminds me a lot of the beginning of The Man in the Hat and End of the Hall

I was just given the excuse to go in-depth with my LN playlist and explain my reasoning behind the inclusion of each song because of an ask I got, so strap in bc this list is 100+ songs and contains a whole lot of thoughts and emotions :D
Some prominent musical trends include bass and synth, electric guitar, brass accents, moody yet hopeful lyrics, themes of closeness but also isolation and betrayal, and of course music boxes! so yeah a lot of Mothica But yeah, my playlists tend to very character-driven so don’t be surprised if an entry abandons the obvious trends in favor of its unique lyricism.
Playlist: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL8SiwBkiFuDCms6_mvkkmY57j2J8KJg0I
Intro
NOCTURNAL – title track for what I think is THE album for LN (and CoM) enthusiasts; it’s full of energy and cryptic nightmare imagery
The Halfway Point
What It Becomes – the vibes in this song are iNSANEEEEE plus the distorted voice towards the end reminds me of the Ferryman
Nightmares – feels self-explanatory
Manipulate – this one was on a previous version of the playlist but i brought it back for Otto heehee
Nymphs Finding the Head of Orpheus – the water sickness.... with a touch of bitter resentment from later
Socioenvy – disassociate and not come back
See You Again – drift into these tideless waters.... I also like to imagine a song as an exchange between Noone and Six
Interlude 1
Gold Satin Dreamer – segway back into the main world
The Nest
Badthings – I just discovered Ellise and found an ok Pretender song :)
funhouse – like many songs on this list I struggled with where to put it; it was hard deciding whether to prioritize the themes of self-image (the Lady) or the a literal funhouse (like the Tower), but I put it in the Nest section because it’s arguably about both
Ameotome – meaning “rain maiden.” Total Pretender song
Water Me Down (Purfakt remix) – the retaliation against the idea of superficial friendships, this is what goes thru Rain’s mind as she learns the truth about the Nest and decides to book it out of there
Her – at one point I wanted to start including louder, grungier songs in this list, so this one I connected to the Pretender’s dark side, when she’s not being your fake friend (the screams toward the end were fitting too I thought)
The Little Doll’s Dream – I always thought the VLN soundtrack sounded reminiscent of the rpgmaker music library, so I snagged this old melody that was used as the game over song in Ib
Whispering Glades – This song is pERFECT FOR RAIN,, the combination of Nicole’s sweet voice and the lyrics surrounding death and desire sum up my idea of her narrative pretty well
Interlude 2 (mobile comics)
A Marvelous Persona – a song that I feel suits Mono wonderfully, but I put it high up to segway out of Rain’s story
They Feast Tonight – an actual LN fansong; I thought CG5 did a great job of setting the series’ tone
wired – speaks to Mono’s rebellious nature while still fitting the more subdued atmosphere of the forest
Cry Baby – represents the child characters’ tendency to hide and shield themselves from the world instead of fighting back right away. an okay fit for the middle episodes
The Forest
found & lost – came across this song while going back through my anisongs playlist and I thought OMG MONO because it’s about never giving up despite being on the brink
HIGHLIGHTS – here for the tone mostly, but kinda suits Mono as a character
Take Me – my favorite track from a LN-inspired EP that I found during a tag crawl
Togetherness I – no-brainer :^)
Alligator Blood – the grotesque yet tragic tale of a poacher and his presumed child that I thought suited the beginning of the game
BEDTIME STORIES – Brand-new addition that I knew was gonna become part of this list since its teases; it suits the central friendship somewhat
wonderland – I already went into this one at length, but TLDR the song is about escaping to the woods with a friendly stranger so you’ll never be alone again, but there’s a dark twist somewhere along the journey
Will You Fight – I love the opening instrumentals and how the track gradually gets more intense, it reminded me so much of the Hunter’s motifs. I also think it reflects the general theme of “choosing to fight the inevitable or waiting to let it happen”
Pale City
Don’t Ask – something that reminds me of Mono and Six drifting over the lake in silence
Detention – I told myself I HAD to pick out a K-12 song to put in the school section and I eventually chose this one
Play Destroy – nu metal beats to fight your bullies too
Togetherness II – another no-brainer
Fangs – this one sells itself to me as a Six song; it’s kind of about wanting closeness despite knowing it’s bound to fall apart
True Colors – I think this OST is important
True Colors – the one by Studio Killers! I like this song for it’s ambient tone and message of hope, thought it was a good segway between levels
Casting Shadows – underrated fave OST
Medicine – because I needed something for the hospital
Ghost Town – I’ve heard people describe Mono as having a hero complex, that is what this song reminded me of
Don’t Go Outside – good overall fit for the LN2 environment, because of both its intensity and its calm; sounds like it’s ringing in the apocalypse while still offering some comfort
Déjà Vu – my personal favorite from the deleted OST. Judging by the musical motifs, I can guess that it was meant for this section.
Self-Destructive – reminds me of Mono’s lack of patience; I like how it oscillates between minimal and upbeat
Church – also seems rather characteristic of Mono, since it’s about having reckless or destructive tendencies, but I mainly included it for the instrumentals
Assassin – song about the feeling of being watched; put this here as buildup to the Thin Man breaking free
Blackout – I absolutely love how this song mashes up a cheery 50′s-esque instrumentals with heavy bass and dark lyrics; it’s also about addiction which makes it a good fit for the Viewers/apartment complex
The Man in the Hat – another fave; I think this is one of Lilja’s best and most creative tracks
HYPNOTIZED – many of AViVA’s songs fit LN so well, idk why y’all weren’t obsessed with her
VOID – more monocore lol
Crazy Bitch – Included this one for the mention of screens, creating a spectacle at one’s own expense, and the droning backup vocals at certain points. Plus the line “I would die just to be someone” is totally a Mono line to me
VICES – This one is on the same album as Blackout and it’s about the stage of rehab when someone admits to their bad habits. There’s actually two versions with wildly different moods and it was hard to decide which one to include, but I went with the more intense one for the Pale City.
Alive – an EPIC song that embodies the protags' determination
upside – claimed this as an LN song from the minute I heard it
crash – the last song in this section reflects Mono’s hesitation to confront his fears before he goes all-out.
The Signal Tower
All Eyes On Me – might seem like an odd choice but the deep synth hooked me immediately. The lyrics are about stage fright which kinda relates to the theme of television, as well as the intense pressure during the final battle and the literal eyes in the flesh walls.
Signal Interference – more OST; what can I say, it’s a banger
SLEEPWALK – a song about longing, loneliness, and dreams, plus it’s very period-appropriate
As Strange As It Seems – the vibe of this song is similar to other songs while remaining a unique addition. This one feels like Six noticing the flaws in her companionship, but also the torment and unfamiliarity of the tower.
R.E.M. – a look back at what Six has been through and what must’ve gone through her head as she attempts to befriend someone new despite it
Play Date – this one is a slightly more aggressive continuation of "As Strange” while interpreting Six’s imprisonment in a very literal sense
NOW – another one for Six, but I'm not sure where to put it because I can’t quite place who she’d be addressing
On My Own – this one’s very loose but I once listened to it on loop leading up to LN2′s release so the association is there whether we like it or not, plus it’s an okay Six song
LOVE & WAR – was literally written about the end of a friendship lol
Don’t – the conclusion of the Tower level WHERE the pair finally splits off
End of the Hall – More OST, I listen to this sad tune for enjoyment :)
The Pink Phantom – this is the last song I expected to give me LN feels but upon listening to it months after release, it reminded me of Mono sitting alone under that pink spotlight, waiting for a reunion that will never come.
As the Lights Go Out – the song is essentially one big curtain call with an emphasis on betrayal and descent into madness
Interlude 3
S.T.A.R. – this one could go in a number of places, the Nest, the hospital, the Black Tower, the end of the series, to name a few,, I simply can’t pick so in the middle it goes
River – out into the ocean.....
The Campfire (Titan comics)
Where the dark things are – representing the travel to the Maw, and the Lady’s looming presence
Burnout – attributed this one to the campfire kids in general. It describes how they’re anxious, hopeless, and don’t have the energy for much except fueling their little fire
Anywhere – a song ive associated with the first game since it came out; I thought the lyrics fit the Tale of the North Wind pretty well
nothing good happens after 2am – the inner struggle™
Nightmare (acoustic) – another song that reflects the campfire gang clinging to scraps of hope
Scared – same case as “Anywhere,” but reminds me more of the very brief stagnant period in Six’s journey
The Maw
BTSTU – this song is about a boat so it might seem on-the-nose but part of the chorus reminds me of Six
Dream No More – another fan song that ive had on my phone since the first game’s peak!
Siren – probably another self-explanatory title
Freak – Ok fit for the monsters and prison dwellers; I love REI’s hypnotic vocals in this
HUSHH – espooky
WILDCARD – while it more closely follows the musical trends of the LN2 section, I think the lyrics suit Six’s narrative better
VICES (stripped) – remember how I said earlier that I thought both versions would work but I couldn't decide which to keep? Well I decided to put the more somber version here for Six
Sick of the Sun – someone help this kid she’s exhausted
Soul Sucker pt. 2 – the third verse especially sells this as a Lady song (also marks the beginning of a subsection im really proud of, lovingly called “the infamous Lady stretch”)
March Of The Guests (Launch Trailer Version) – how did I sleep on this OST for the longest time?? It’s now one of my all-time favorites
I don’t want to get high – THE DRAMAAAA
Trust No One – still ramping up the aggression >:)
Tempest – works great for the Lady stretch but i might move it
BLOOD – I don’t think this one needs an explanation
The Lady’s Quarters
Lennon’s Ghost – for when Six first wanders into the Lady’s domain
CHANGGWI – cool modern waltz about spooky folktale creatures. i like this duet edit more than the original tbh
Snow of Carnage – the OST for the third act is probably my favorite thing about Sifu, and I think this boss theme delivers the same intensity as the Lady’s
The Lady Circles – more fav OST (and the end of the infamous Lady stretch)
Never Find My Place – I’m envisioning an exchange between Six and the Lady as I listen to this, not certain who’s talking to who, but maybe it could be both at the same time??
Blue Hour – while this song is about finding the willpower to overcome hardship, its ominous tone can make it sound less than uplifting. it honestly strikes me as a Six song, like she no longer feels obligated to anyone but herself. a good fit for the ending of LN1
Prison Toys – this track has honestly grown on me
The Depths
Sandman – out of all the songs in Ellise’s recent EP, I think this one fits the series the best :) especially befitting of the Maw’s prisoners
Hide and Seek – this song reminded me of SotM since the beginning, which is weird because it’s based on a completely different game! Always associated it with Flicker too
LEECHES – enuf said
Hungover – another one that’s mostly in here for the instrumentals, but theres a few lines here and there that I think suit the narrative
The Hideaway
Nothing But A Nome – another piece of OST that I happened to like and I think is underrated
Are You Tired? – the way it ramps up from a lullaby to full-on rock is really cool
Inferno – somewhat of an in-between for the Hideaway and the Residence
Inner Life – more OST
The Residence
My Darling True – this song sounds like it was literally engineered to be put in The Residence oh my god
Living Hell – another song for the Lady, plus the music box sweeping the whole track accompanied by moments of harshness are staples of the series
With You – similar to the previous song but with more of an intense metal edge
A Room With A View – another piece of OST that really grew on me and is just right for capping this section off
The Spiral
Siren Song – another bridge between the main story and the outside world. the POV it’s sung from plus lines like “beacons of the water and the sky” invoke the after-the-fact feeling of LN3 perfectly; presumably the titans of old have fallen
21st Century Kids (Reimagined) – two little ones in search of a better life
Hameln – while listening to the album this song is on again, i looked up the lyrics and it appears to be about a duo taking on hardships while braving the feeling of uncertainty, it really spoke to me
Tell Me That You’re Okay – “a tendency for codependency” sounds like a valid prediction of the main dynamic, who’s with me
Outro
Hypno – this unreleased LN2 track moved me to tears the first time I heard it unaltered, so yeah, good finale theme
forever fifteen (acoustic) – a song that I think suits various parts of LN because of the theme of having one’s innocence forcefully stripped away. while the subject matter is incredibly dark, it’s somewhat calming to listen to. and to me it’s the perfect bookend to this playlist

So do you have any headcanons for the hunter?(love your art btw, it inspired me to draw more little nightmares)
Ohhh thank you sm!!😭 And yes!! I have some!
My headcanons about the hunter from the little nightmares!
- I prefer to think that he is half taxidermied.(we can see him breathing at least, that makes me think that his body isn't full of plush)
- It's really hard for him to breathe and talk, so his sentences are often consisted of one or two words.
-He isolated himself from the tvs and the pale city because of the harmful influence of the tower.
-He dosen't eat humans, only animal's meat, and for the beginning he was making taxidermied animals, but because of selfisolation, he started to feel lonely so he taxidermied his dead family. He set a lot of traps mostly because he wanted to protect himself from the visitors.
-He captured Six because of his loneliness. He wanted to be someone as a father to her. He likes taking care of her a lot, even if Six dosen't understand this.
-He was the one who gave Six the music box, which was his dead brother's or son's toy.(I'm not sure who this taxidermied boy is). He was strong enough to give it to Six now.
-Sometimes when he is cooking or doing something inside his house and then hearing the music box playing from the basement, he smiles intently ( OMG JUST IMAGINE IT 😭 )
-He strokes Six on her head cause people do the same thing with animal and this man just dosen't know how to make her less scared of him, he forgot how to interact with children lol
-He believes that he protects Six from the dangerous world they live in. Here, with him, she will be safe.
-Six dosen't understand the hunter's motive so she thinks that he is gonna taxidermy her someday as the rest of his family.
-He was chasing Six and Mono because that paper hat boy was taking his daughter away from him and that's why he wasn't aiming at Six.
-Six tried to escape many times, but the hunter always brought her back.
-Hunter hopes to get closer to his daughter someday, he just doesn't know how.
-He cooks a dinner for his taxidermied family every evening and eats with them.
-Also ofcourse he cooks for Six too, burned meat mostly. Sometimes he is even trying to feed her by himself.
-His face is mutilated under his mask. I'm not sure about theory that he committed suicide but he definetly hides something.
-He drinks and smokes A LOT.
-He is really irritable.
-he is a lil bit clumsy at everything

Maybe the Runaway Kid was also a kid taken from the Pale City to the Maw? Since the concept art of little nightmares 2 showed a blue clothed kid in concept pale city then maybe that kid is the Runaway Kid? Heck it might be possible that Runaway Kid was having his own adventure at the other side of Pale City unaware of Six and Mono during little nightmares 2 and then is taken to the Maw before Six goes to there after ln2 end
Omg yes! That would be such a cool addiction to his backstory, especially since we know little to nothing about him!
It could be interesting seeing him again in a possible LN 2 DLC, maybe we get to travel with him to another side of the Pale City? It'd be nice if they got the Barber into the DLC too, I'd love to see him in action. He freaked me out when I saw the concept art.
Tumblr media
I mean look at the guy - LOOK AT THOSE LONG SCISSORS LIKE SIR WHAT WERE YOU GONNA DO WITH THEM!???!??!?!?! CUT A CHILD IN HALF???
This man looks absolutely unhinged and I'm curious about him. Portaits of him are everywhere.
But. I digress from the Barber, and back to Runaway Kid.
What I'd like to see in another DLC starring RK is his encounter with the Ferryman, if he was taken to the Maw by him. I want to see the gentle giant in game format dammit🥺 and get some more information on how the children get to the LN universe - and RK seems just the guy to show us through.

Ok! So, there's two of them, but they're at the same stage (kinda)
They're both bag creatures. Clothesmakers if you will. They appear just after the teacher area (Also probably before the dentist). The puzzles are mainly just avoiding obstacles and 1 of the 2 monsters.
The more humanoid one is called Burlap but she doesn't do much aside from stitch up something at her desk and hold Six captive (and considering the other dude... yeah good call) because, "you're too small to be a monster but you're also too brightly colored to be a child. Better keep you here to be safe." She's kind of a work a holic that's too focused on her work and keeping her sibling out of the Hospital to clean the workspace so there's dangers literally everywhere. The most she'll do to Mono is pat him on the head and move him to the side a bit.
The other, Tatters, looks like one of those weird blanket dolls except with torn sides to resemble legs and a big toothy mouth. They moves like a rather fast octopus in order to catch Mono, with all the mimicking abilities with. You first encounter them in the wilderness where they mimic random objects you probably wouldn't think twice about (like a shoe). You'll probably figure it out by the teeth tbh. Then you encounter them again in the Hunter's cabin where they're just chillin and munching on rotten meat.
(The only Pale City residents that can put up with them is their sister, The Teacher (as long as her students are left alone), and the Hunter)
The way Tatters attack is taking over the victims body. They can do this to anything "alive" from Mono to the patients. They can grow or shrink to match the prey's size. First, they'll decapitate the victim first and replace the head. Then, they wrap the sack around the body to mostly cover it. There's usually some of the body peaking out when they do this. They'll proceed to use the body until it rots where they proceed to release and devour it.
The reason they don't follow you into the school isn't because the teacher has anything agaist them (not that it'd stop them considering they break into the hospital monthly for a new host and the Doctor hates this) but because the kids are jerks :(
I'd show a picture, but I don't have one.
OHHH THESE TWO ARE SO COOL? I think I’m in love with Burlap, she just sounds so sweet 🥺
Tatters has such a cool concept!! A parasite that resembles a cloth bag in order to lure unsuspecting victims closer?? I never would’ve thought of that? That would make for such a fun level in the game omg...
Thank you so much for telling me about them!! If you ever got around to making art of the two, I’d love to see!!

My Commander Decks Pt.1
I was supposed to be going to a Commander night tonight, and that fell through, and now I’m just sitting here, staring at my deckboxes. So I thought I might channel that sorta fixation into a discussion of some of my (many) commander decks, the history behind them, and how my own deckbuilding ethos folds into them.
  The Mimeoplasm- Sultai Reanimator
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My oldest and most storied deck, though it has changed a lot over the years. I first heard about commander not long after I started playing magic, and I didn’t have much of a collection at that point, nor did I have that much money to drop on a 100-card deck. I might not have even had the basics necessary at that point. When I heard of the upcoming release of Duel Decks: Jace vs Vraska, I ended up agreeing with my brother to split it- we pay half each, he gets Jace, I get Vraska, with the intent of turning that into my first commander deck, with my copy of Varolz, the Scar-Striped at the head.
Tumblr media
Getting cards isn’t easy in Perth, as there aren’t many card shops and their stock is limited- ordering online is an option but it can take upwards of a month for cards to arrive from the US stores. As such, when I saw a significantly better generic BG “stuff” commander in Sapling of Colfenor in a local store, I was easily conviced to pick her up, sleeve her up, and lead with her for a long time
Tumblr media
At this point the deck was still just a pile of (mostly bad) cards I liked, with somewhat of a graveyard theme, but it was my pile of cards, and I loved it. I have a lot of sentiment attached to most if not all of my commander decks, actually. Eventually we got to the release of Khans of Tarkir and Fate Reforged, and while somehow I never got convinced to run Sidisi, Tasigur, the Golden Fang, would eventually take command of the deck, adding Blue to its options.
Tumblr media
Blue didn’t add much at first, and it’s still the least present colour of the three in the deck, but a looter or two and some funky spells were a fun time. I was never good at playing Tasigur, never really willing to delve too much, not willing to exile my own graveyard, a sentiment that would continue into the current configuration. Not long after this, one of my friends organised an online order, and I decided to order enough cards to completely retune the deck.
Tumblr media
I’d like to argue I got lucky, seeing as a lot of the cards I picked up spiked not long after, but it was then that the style of the deck solidified, and it started resembling where the deck is at now. Despite the huge changes, however, I didn’t think to change the commander to the Ooze that now helms the deck until after, and it would take some time until a friend spotted a Mimeoplasm in someone’s binder at a draft for me to finally get the deck’s final commander, solidifying it as a Mimeoplasm deck rather than just my Sultai Reanimator deck.
Tumblr media
Even now, this deck is an eclectic collection of my history with Magic. Ostensibly, it’s a deck that either tries to win on turn 2-3 by reanimating an insurmountable threat, or by grinding out value steadily lategame between engines, possibly ending the game with a convoluted combo. But that’s not really what the deck is, is it. It has the Vraska from that old Duel Deck, the misprinted Flooded Strand from my Khans of Tarkir prerelease. It has two of the 5 Masterpieces I somehow managed to open over the 3 entire blocks they did those, and it has the damaged Reanimate my best friend traded for for me (He needed value in the trade and I paid him back for it, but it still counts). Cutting anything from this list is like killing my darlings, maybe with the exception of the manabase (It’s still pretty awful).
Radha, Heart of Keld- Gruul Topdeck
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
From my oldest deck to my newest. Radha is a deck borne of one evening- it was a friend’s birthday, everyone was peacing out and walking back to our cars, both me and the birthday girl are parked next to the local game store, which, hey, it’s still open, let’s take a peek. I ended up buying everyone a round of Modern Horizons packs, as well as a Japanese Ikoria booster for myself, and apparently my good deeds were repaid in the packs I opened.
Tumblr media
From this, I decided I wanted to build a more unique deck. See, it hadn’t been that long since the Commander precons where WOTC had decided to make a new archetype in the form of Esper Topdeck, printing Aminatou and Yennet as commanders to promote this. But with M21 recent, and Vivien’s ability to play off the top, I wanted to see what the other two colours could offer for such a deck. Hence, Radha, Heart of Keld became the leader of my own Gruul Topdeck deck.
Tumblr media
There’s a lot of ideas coming together in this deck. The options for topdeck manipulation in Gruul are largely just the artifact ones, so I wanted more options to manipulate the deck- hence, I made sure the ramp was largely Rampant Growth type effects so they would still be relevant as shuffle effects in the lategame. I knew I wanted to run Wrenn and Six, so I made sure just about every nonbasic in the deck was a Evolving Wilds type effect- they synergize with Wrenn, they are shuffles when I want them, and they mean I can put all of my actually good Gruul lands in my other Gruul deck.
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, the most you can abuse topdeck manipulation in Gruul to do is mostly just using it to cheat creatures into play. So that was the angle I went for, throwing a variety of spooky creatures in that would let me have a variety of options if I had the capacity to manipulate my deck. The sheer number of basic-searching effects I had gave me an excuse to run the Conduit of Ruin toolbox package I had in mind, letting me play Deciever of Form, a card in my collection that I’d had my eye on for quite some time, off of a one-of Wastes. I wanted to run Oath of Druids, so the deck doesn’t play any creatures under 3cmc just in case I’m flipping blind.
The deck does a lot of powerful nothing, but it’s not a blue deck, so I think I can get away with that. It’s far from perfect, and despite my disgust with the card it probably needs a Sensei’s Divining Top, butt I think this deck is an elegant reflection of my own deckbuilding process, if I do say so myself (and I do!)
Callaphe, Beloved of the Sea- Mono-Blue Devotion Voltron
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I built a Callaphe deck because I saw a foil showcase one at a card shop for cheap, thought it looked gorgeous, and had a bunch of blue cards sitting around without a deck to put them in. It’s not as well thought-out as some of my other decks, but I’d argue it has a lot going for it. Turns out the best way to play a bunch of blue enchantments with devotion also happens to you stealing a bunch of stuff and drawing a bunch of cards. Neat!
Tumblr media
Callaphe has a bunch of new cards in it that I haven’t gotten to try yet, but I’m excited to do so- it’s probably the first deck I’m going to pull out at my next commander night. It’s not particularly powerful, but she gets big surprisingly quick, and no-one expects the old Corrupted Conscience my own Commander trick. Infect is a perfectly viable way to win a game of magic! Especially when I’m using someone else’s creature!
 Mirri, Weatherlight Duelist- Cat Tribal
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The first round of Secret Lairs were announced in December 2019, as I recall. My birthday is December 11, and so I decided to spoil myself a little and pick up the “OMG Kitties!” pack, all the cards of which became the basis for this deck.
I’m a cat person. My cat Ruby is a brat but I love her to bits. This is the cutest deck I own.
Tumblr media
Building around the Ikoria companion restriction was interesting, as it meant cutting staples like Sakura-Tribe Elder and…actually I think that was it? Turns out when you build kitty aggro you don’t want a lot of things that aren’t kitties. I opted for Mirri over Arahbo, however, partially because I despise Eminence as an ability, and partially because I like that Mirri lets you swing with impunity without getting cracked back too hard. A bit of a nonbo with Kaheera, unfortunately, but you can do worse. Kaheera usually gets blown up at some point anyway.
I’ve had a surprising amount of trouble getting all the tokens for this deck. I’m working on it.
 Roalesk, Apex Hybrid- Simic Superfriends
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The idea for this deck is actually a spin on one from Ben Doolittle, from his Conditions Allow series on EDHREC. It inspired me, and while I took the mechanical core of the deck from the article, the Superfriends spin was my own idea. Essentially, the plan is to use Clone effects to convert cards in hand into copies of Roalesk’s powerful enter the battlefield and dies triggers (as the clones are sacrificed to the Legend rule), making the main man himself big very quickly and proliferating counters onto a wide variety of spicy planeswalkers.
Tumblr media
The deck was built not long after the dissolution of my first Cube, as such many of the cards were taken directly from it- just about every UG walker in that cube or in my binder ended up in the deck, which proved problematic when I rebuilt the cube. It also ended up with the Doubling Season I opened in it, giving it combo potential, but the only tutor around is Jace, Architect of Thought’s ultimate, so it’s not a guarantee (Though the one time I did get it off was incredible…). Most of the deck is filled with Clones and a whole 22 planeswalkers, fulfilling a variety of roles in the deck, leaving not a whole lot of room for more traditional answers but since I have superfriends that ramp, superfriends that draw, and superfriends that are removal, it has yet to be too big an issue. Outside of ramp, however, I find myself allergic to “staple” cards, and so relying on the planeswalkers that the deck is built around and that synergise with Roalesk and the other Proliferate effects in the deck is fine by me.
The deck actually got strictly better with the recent Commander rules change that made dies triggers work even if you put the commander in the Zone, but I was a little salty anyway, since I’d built it with the idea in mind that I wasn’t getting that double proliferate unless I worked for it. Ah, whatever, can’t complain about the devs making my deck better for me, right?
Much like many of these rambles, I’m going to leave this one here, halfway through. In the second half, we’ll discuss my awful but hilarious 5 colour deck, my awful to play against monocolour deck, and 3 others. ‘til then!

I've been meaning to ask this for a while now,,,,,but im lazy,,,,,,,
Why did Six cut their hair? Was it an emotional decision, or just practical? And when in the crewmates timeline did they do it? Did Flicker help? I have many emotions,,,
Omg I was waiting for someone to ask this question (which is a very good question indeed)
The context stems from this lore post. Once Mono tells her that he might not come back, Six finally understands what that means: because of her, Mono was denied the chance to live more freely on the outside like she and her new family are. Mono retreating to his cave is basically denying the newfound truth that things have gotten better, and as someone who instinctually never gives up, Six feels hurt by that. Not to mention that everyone around her will also be hurt by Mono leaving, since they've grown to like him so quickly. When he does leave, that's when all the emotion and realization starts to flood in, and Six decides that they can't sit back and do nothing.
When Six hastily cuts her hair with the nearest blade that can fit in her hand, she's embracing the past she tried to forget, determined to right a wrong. But also Six hasn't had hair that short since they were a child, so it's kinda visually coherent too.
Tumblr media
As for the tail end your question, Six was alone in their room when the chop™ happened, but Flicker was the first one to find them all distraught and vulnerable. Despite that, instead of hiding, this turns into a rare moment where Six uses her words and opens up, asking for help, as messy as she might be in that moment. And upon receiving reassurance in return they prepare to get back up on their feet.
Lastly i HC that Two is the person everyone goes to if they want their hair cut right, so she fixes them up after things calm down haha
