Return: How could we not (later)

It was around that time of year, when demons alike would present offerings in hopes of gaining favor with one another.

There were just three days till that wonderful day and students were already rushing to prepare their gifts and gossiping about who they’ll give it to.

You yourself were getting something ready with the help of Shichiro and Suzy-san while you left Opera and Iruma to keep Kalego busy.

A great idea, yes.

Leave the poor man alone with an infant and his school bully.

Yes, this will get you a loooooot of brownie points

“Opera-senpai...” He grits out, “I don’t think this is a good idea...”

Kalego wasn’t sure what he did in his past life, but it must’ve been something pretty bad if his Senpai was dragging him everywhere before confining him to his music room. Not to mention your spawn had come along with him, which begs the question, where were you?

“It’s a great idea Kalego-kun, or do you want to deny the young master your musical talents.”

“NOT WHILE YOU HAVE THAT IN YOUR HANDS!”

A camera, he was expected to perform some obscure piece for the listening and viewing pleasure of two people, one of which can’t even speak yet, and the other who uses him for malicious tendencies on a whim!

“Oh? Well, if it bothers you so much then...” Opera places the camera down and scoops up Iruma before plonking him right onto Kalego’s lap.

“Wha-”

“Watch Iruma for me while I prepare him his post-breakfast pre-lunch snack time.”

“Wait a minu-”

Tmp. And with that, the door shuts.

“Hah... What?”

Iruma was staring at the piano keys in wonder, almost wiggling out of Kalego’s lap to reach them.

... sighs

“Alright, here’s what these keys sound like. First of all, you need to anchor yourself with the proper hand placement...”

A camera silently records in the background.

Meanwhile, back with you.

“GET. IN. THE. POT.” You were battling it out with a cactus.

Yes, you heard me, a cactus.

A prickly succulent.

Shichiro and Suzy on the other hand, were working in a construction area not too far off.

Eventually, surviving most of your encounters, you, Shichiro, and Suzy had a fine collection of specimens. Some would go to the school and some would go with the two of you.

This was the surprise you were setting up for your dear friend after all.

You missed so many birthdays, the plan was to make up for them.

Opera had just finished making Iruma’s snack, though it looked more like a luncheon meal. But before he entered the music room in Kalego’s home he paused.

What exactly he was expecting, he wasn’t sure, but sitting at the piano still was Kalego and Iruma.

It wasn’t any of the great Netherworld classics or any children’s pieces.

Rather a calm elegant tune drifted out of the room, filling the room with the sound of music.

Kalego had taken the challenge of following little Iruma’s lead. Wherever his little hands went, he followed with his much larger ones, improving transitions between larger jumps and flourishes with smaller ones.

And thus, the two of them would compose a tune, lovely, full of wonder and integrity.

“wuaaah, wah wah wuuu.”

pfft, it was like Iruma was singing.

“Feh,” Kalego was amused, “In my opinion, it sounded more like this.”

And his smooth lower tenor voice rumbled through his chest, making Iruma pause and stare in wonder as his teacher drifted away with the song they made together.

He was about to fall asleep, the atmosphere perfect right then for a nap, before a knock made them pause.

“I’ve returned.”

Finally, you were back. You had to call Buer to help tend to yours and Shichiro’s wounds. (Not to mention the millions of spines pin-cushioning you two)

Unfortunately for Kalego, this prompted other teachers to come investigate.

Which made you thank the upper planes that you had the foresight to sound proof Kalego’s house.

And with some finishing touches, you were ready for the grand reveal.

“Opera-senpai...” Kalego grit. “What is the meaning of this?”

He did not trust the cat demon at all, but with his vision obscured and Iruma clinging to him in his arms there was little he could do.

“Just a little further, Kouhai.”

At least with the child it’s less likely for him to push Kalego over.

Tsk. Even with the blindfold he can still hear a bit of scurrying before complete silence.

And then he could see.

There in front of him, not too far from the back of his house, was a green house.

Filled with cacti.

Only a few were larger than he was but still, there were multitudes of exotic specimens blossoming with beautiful blooms.

“Happy Birthday, Kalego! Thank you for your hard work, Yis.”

Ah, was this..?

It was! A Demonic Rite! But who...

Over the heads of all his colleagues who had come to congratulate him, was you. You were having a brief chat with Buer over your bandaged hands along with Shichiro.

“Ah, it looks like they called everyone over to help.” Remarked Opera.

You stiffened when you heard stomping coming from behind you.

A happy “Mama!” was quickly followed with.

“Was this your idea?”

He didn’t sound entirely angry...

“W-well...” when you turned around Iruma was happily returned to you. “Yes...? I mean, Suzy and Shichiro helped me pick out the cacti and build the green house... and Buer came along when things got a little... iffy. Ah, uh.. not to mention that uh... Furcas and Morax worked together to pick some wine? I think it was something along the lines of-”

“Enough.”

“...” You avert your gaze.

“Thank you.”

Eyes snapping back up to him, his smirk on his face might’ve seemed malicious to his students but you could tell that he was pleased.

“It’s been a while since there was such an annoying and over the top Demonic Rite.”

“Tch.” You could only pout in return.

“But that was probably because you weren’t there for them.”

Phew, he’s not mad.

“Thank you.”

You only smile in return.

“It’s your Demonic Rite! Thank you! For... For going easy on me, for now.”

“For now.”

“Happy Demonic Rite, Kalego!” Shichiro, very happy, very pleased with how things turned out, used this opportunity to embrace you two (plus Iruma), squeezing. “You too Opera-Senpai!”

“Wait.. NoNoNONONOOOOOOOO”

That night, was filled with laughter and pleasant chatting.

INTRODUCTION to Global Politics :D

If we're going to be exact and fancy, here's a definition of what Global Politics is:

"... the study of the interactions and conflicts between nations, international organizations, and non-state actors, and how these affect our world."

Of course, some of these terms may be unfamiliar to you, specially if you're not someone who interacts with politics a lot, or not with the 'technical terms' , but we'll get to those with enough time. Global Politics (or Glopo, as I'll be calling it from now on, that's just so much easier to write I'm sorry) essentially refers to a lot of stuff, it talks about stuff as 'small' as simple trade and diplomacy, to things as big as national security, war, and human rights, so, it covers lots of stuff.

In a couple of words, glopo is all about power, who has power? How is that power used? How is it shared? And to answer those questions, it looks at the interests, the values, and the ideologies of all the people, organizations, etc. (or actors, as they're referred to in IB Glopo) that have even just a little itsy bit of that power that we just talked about, and how those characteristics of each actor involved in power influence the politics of the whole entire world. Think of it as, how do Donald Trump's (an actor) values as a conservative and interests as the US' ex-president influence the politics of other countries, such as Mexico, India, China, etc.

So. Why glopo? I think for my generation (lol hi fellow genzs) this is a relatively easy question. Our generation is famous for being very actively involved in politics, protests, all that good stuff. But, still, even though we may be a generation that's very informed of politics, it may not be with the correct technical terms, or there may be some things that happen in the international scope of politics that we don't quite understand.

Glopo is important because nowadays, what happens in the US matters in Mexico (viva mexico WUUU), what happens in Canada matters in India, and that matters in Nepal and Pakistan, and so on. Our world, nowadays, is extremely interconnected, so it's not enough anymore to now the politics of only your country and the very close neighbors. Also, if we want to be more involved in political issues, we should know politics; if we want to speak about things such as climate change and how that's a political issue, poverty and how that's a political issue, terrorism and how that's a political issue, then we should know the politics behind and that come as a result of those issues. And in that same branch, if we know politics, then we know how to solve those problems, what tools we need, how we need to address them, and so on.

There are three main theories that are important to understand politics, and while the IB Glopo curriculum does go into more detail about them, here's how they work briefly:

Realism: This theory basically says that if we want to understand glopo, we should emphasize that nations act in self-interest, that the goal of their actions is, at the end of the day, the pursuit of power

Liberalism: Liberalism is basically the optimist sibling of realism. Liberalism believes that we should look at things through the lenses of cooperation and promoting democracy, that although nations may not have... very good intentions, we should still try to work towards cooperation, democracy and human rights

Constructivism: This one... Idk how to describe this one actually LMAO. It's basically saying that if you really wanna understand why actors do the things they do, you should look at the ideas that they have, the identity that they're a part of, it's basically the "it depends" amongst the three, the one that looks at cultural context a lot

There are many glopo issues, like, too many to count them probably LMAO, but ones that come up a lot can be basically categorized into:

Climate change. It's not only the weather getting hotter girlies it's actually kinda really important when it comes to policies, global action on the part of actors, and all that good (not-so-good) stuff

Nuclear proliferation. I mean. Yeah. I think we'd all be lying a little bit if we said we're not just a lil bit scared that certain very powerful people will just go like 'actually let's bomb something with nuclear power' and we all just end up kinda dead

Human rights. Specially when it comes to the human rights of minority groups in particular nations or regions (like, idk, a uhm... GENOCIDE going on on multiple parts of the world)

Migration. People moving from their countries of origin to look for refuge, security, a better quality of life, and then how the countries receiving that migration react to it. my mexican people we know these one all too well lmao

If these types of issues interest you and you think you could work on something like these in the future, there's a lot of things you can specialize in! You can be a: foreign service officer, international organization staff member, political analyst, journalist, NGO worker, security and intelligence analyst, and many, many more.

Of course, always be careful when it comes to politics. Wish I could say it's a safe and peaceful career path but I think we all know it's anything but that, specially if you don't intend on being... not corrupt pieces of shit nice. But even if maybe you're not looking at Glopo for a career, it's still very important to understand what's going on in our world when it comes to politics; the actions of very powerful people affect us directly, and if we wanna do anything about it, it's always good to know these kinds of stuff

— FANCY YOU! is the fourth mini album by south korean girlgroup PALETTE, under SM entertainment. the album was released on august 17, 2019, containing five tracks including its title song, “fancy!”. PALETTE promoted succesfully for six weeks alongside their sub-title track, “lil’ touch”.

after spending the first half of 2019 on a lowkey mode, PALETTE finally re-appeared on the scene with all they’ve got. the first row of teasers alone generated tons of buzz and anticipation, especially once it was revealed that PALETTE’s maknae, yeji, would be finally reincorporing to the group activities, after her ausence due to a leg injury from the past comebacks. for this era, the girls clearly aimed for the funky spectrum of their palette, blending quirky and fantastic elements with their usual aesthetic, brimming with vivid colors. fancy you! left its print on the industry as one of their most outlandish eras.

fancy! charted greatly and scooped no fewer than ten music shows wins, making its their most awarded song to the date. fancy! become a public’s favorite in no time gjfh

dawon, ella and tohru had a hand on the album’s writing but they all agreed yeji wrote most of it by herself. that mf really got discharged and said time to get shit DONE

jules also participated on the producing and GUESS WHAT they were finally !!! credited !!!

it was a pleasant surprise to witness palette shifting from the elegant and mighty concept to go full-on with some funky groovy vibes !!!

the styling/aesthetic.... was very peculiar, to say the least

it was basically color vomit at it finest but make it cool ?? surprisingly it turned out very aesthetically pleasing to the eye

their makeup had this big sexy and glowy and blushy type of deal but sometimes they just. literally had drawings on theirs faces with their respective colors wuuu

each girl dyied their hair according their respective colors talk about MADNESS

there was (2) predominant outfits. the black leather and uniformed ones and the “we picked clothes blindfold and make it work” ones

fashion wise it was v messy but somehow ??? pulled ??? off ???

trended on twt during a solid day as “lmao who are the rainbow group??”

PLTT’S PROMOTING AS SEVEN AGAIN.... glows were over the moon with yeji’s presence after her missing the past two comebacks

and leave alone ms yeji herself

im telling you she was ecstatic to be on stage again :’)

and not only her you could tell the whole group was thriving alonside their lil bastard maknae :’))) even jules was glad to have someone to piss off KJHD. ot7 pltt hits different

the group’s energy was much more bright and genuine and they all were greatly feeling themselves while performing. they sparked so much joy and honestly we love that for them

so many vlives, variety show appearances, posts on social media. they were peak palette this era

reveglows got FED with all the soft velvette interactions :((( pltt girlies being all “unknees *-*” over their sunbaes heehee

however some knetz called them out bc their choreo wasn’t as intricate as they used to and kept comparing it with their old choreographies ://

Hakumyu Kitan Thoughts!

I still haven’t been able to watch Reimeiroku completely, so this will also include my thoughts on the new cast. Like many of you out there, I’m still kinda attached to the old cast, it’s going to be some big shoes to fill in. :’<

1. Serizawa’s face always reminds me of Scar from Lion King lol.

2. Matsuda Gaku is a very beautiful Hijikata. Probably fits the definition of an ikemen. That smirk too mmm...

3. Different Yaisa choreography... :’< I miss Ikeda Junya wuuu.

4. It’s hard to compare with Hirose Daisuke’s Okita, but I think Aramaki Yoshihiko has his own flavour. Less playful, less mad, but more serious and proud. I like the excessive twirling of his sword though, hehe. Still the drama queen, of course.

5. We’re back to that awkward phase where Sanan doesn’t exist, and no one is explaining wtf is a Fury and the Water of Life and what’s its impact on the Shinsengumi.

6. While we’re on that topic, some of the story elements and narratives changed too. It was kinda odd at times (e.g. Kodou asking Okita to lead his Fury army). Some others (e.g Hijikata’s near-death conversation with Serizawa) are interesting adds.

7. The new KINNNIKU song has A+ choreography and A++ kinniku mmmmm.

8. Yamazaki gets featured quite abit. :’> *press F*

9. Hijikata’s breakdown though. </3

10. Sano actually using his sword!

11. Harada route preview! I liked how they slide it in, kinda like Heisuke’s interactions with Chizuru in Kazama-hen. But seriously, Sano’s short wig is bugging me... >< Why is if flipped out like that? How is it that they make it look bad again? orz Such injustice when he had such a cool scene. :’<

12. I thought the ending stage with the Sakura background was really beautiful. And all the Shinsengumi in their Eastern costumes. And here I am, thinking about how many Sakura petals they had to prepare to scatter all over the stage for that entire sequence. xD

13. Demmit Kitan, I DIDN’T ASK FOR THIS AGAIN. Just when I thought it’s the Hijikata route, it’s Kazama-hen / Yukimura route again. QAQ

16. Matsuda Gaku during the curtain call is really adorable, hahaha.

Hakumyu Kitan wasn’t too bad! It was a good introduction to the new cast, for me. It was a nice mix of old and new songs. Of course I miss the old cast and old songs (boku wa ken da~), but things must change. Meanwhile, I shall keep watching Hakumyu and believe in the things that doesn’t change (hahaha).

The “18 Till I Die” Experience

Listening to Bryan Adams, his album “18 Till I Die” from 1996. I guess I heard it for the first time in 2001 or 2002, and I absolutely loved it. I loved the music and cared less about the lyrics - that is how I am even today! But sometimes, you do end up listening to the lyrics, or notice the meaning of the words which are being sung. This happened today and I realized that as a young me - I obviously would’ve not heard them that way. Maybe there was innocence then. Bryan Adams songs are S-E-X-Y! I mean yes, absolutely sexy! Hard core Sexy! So sexy that there should a “Parental Advisory” logo on some songs! So, “18 Till I Die” has songs like: “Let’s make a night to remember”, “(I wanna be) your underwear” and “Have you ever really loved a woman” - Sexy stuff there! Literally, the sexiest Roxette song I can think of right now is “Sleeping in my car” or “(Do you get) excited”. Can you think of more? I mean there must be, but I can’t remember more at the moment. Musically: It’s produced by Mutt Lange!!! Wuuu-Huuuu!!! The album reminded me of...... haha! So, it was in 1997 when “The World According to Gessle” came out and yes, Bryan Adams admirers would love this album. Simple, organic, pop-rock with a husky voiced vocalist! Well defined drum beats, electric guitars and some catchy bass - Gessle much? Gyllene Tider without Farfisa Organ? Lyrically: “18 till I Die” is a fun album! It’s about happy stuff! There is less heartbreak and more love. One needs such albums! So, yes, album of the day! Roxette fans love Bryan Adams, and there are way too many Bryan Adams fans - some like Roxette, some don’t know! Love and Peace 15/8/2018

What I select was a video about the immigrants I Mexico, the documentary bring information about numbers and facts that immigrants suffer in their travel to Mexico. Fortunately, neither the Fire nor the Ice Pearl had any abnormal reactions. Likely, the Moon Immortal was controlling the Fire and Ice Pearls.
