Hello!! Don't worry, the question isn't too silly and I think I can answer it.

Girlbosses are typically depicted as women who are seen as powerful, smart, possibly even "dominant" (in a nonsexual way), people. Example: Cynthia from Pokemon could be considered a girlboss. (Girlbosses don't always have to be women according to some people, but it's most common.)

Malewives are men that are depicted as well.. Kinda like housewives. (Or they might have housewife energy) They might be seen as a bit pathetic or just generally have the energy that they could be pushed over by a strong gust of wind. (whether or not they physically could) Example: Miles Edgeworth from Ace Attorney could be seen as a malewife. (He certainly gets bullied enough for it /j)

And no, a girlboss and a malewife don't have to be a couple. They can be siblings, friends, or anything else! Although, you may want to be a bit careful with phrasing since girlboss x malewife is a popular ship dynamic. (You don't have to of course, it just may help avoid misinterpretation.)

Once Nohara Haruka was proud to be a well trained scientist in Japan's most revered laboratory for virus research, but ever since a virus started infecting people that turned them into groaning husks of former people two years ago without any hope of a cure in sight, she has mostly given up on her work and humanity. People that get infected are better off dead, they won't be human anymore a week from infection day anyway. There is nothing anyone can do, so she thinks. That is until she runs into her old school mate Uchiha Itachi, who is infected. And the time starts ticking...

Day 0 - Day of Infection.

Not far from her right were a few police officers trying to push back against a small group of Groaners, probably a few citizens of this block who had recently turned. Haruka lived in an area that was isolated, that should technically only house not infected people, but people turned in the area all the time anyway. They were hopelessly groaning about, as if that would help them get past heavily armed police officers. Haruka hated the sound of it, so she took out her earphones and put them into her ears. Music was the best distraction.

It wasn’t ethical to have no feelings at all about other humans that had done nothing wrong to themselves but to get infected with something they didn’t understand. When Haruka had still been a medic, she might have thought that one should show empathy. But all her studies in virology and her long and boring semester in toxicology had taught her that there was nothing to do with these people. As soon as their brain’s had come to the point that they were nothing but groaning beasts, the most merciful thing was to just bash them over with a hammer and give them relief. Because if you didn’t clobber them over the head with a hammer then they might injure you, infect you and then you’d turn. 

Everyone would turn eventually, Haruka knew this, the virus would win, humanity would lose. That was why she had stopped working at the hospital lab, that was why she shut herself in her home and shut the groaning out with windows and music, because there was no hope. You could only wait for the sweet relief of death at this point.

She was maybe a block away from the store she had planned to go to, when she saw a body out of the corner of her eye. In an alleyway to her left lay a man, face down, hair sprawled over his back. He wasn’t moving. Haruka stopped and looked around to see if someone else was here that she could call, but nobody was. She wondered if the man had drunk too much or maybe commited suicide, which both weren’t uncommon nowadays. Whatever it was, someone needed to do something and part of Haruka wished that someone didn’t have to be her.

Unfortunately, she couldn’t force another medic in the area into existence and though she hated it now, she did have the experience, so she stepped forward and tapped the man on the head. He looked up, his eyes fluttering as they met hers, black as a crow. She scanned his face and drew her head back so fast that one of her earpods fell out. She knew that man. 

“ Itachi !”
