Voltron Characters Headcanons, go!

FINALLY! I HAVE.. too many..

Let's start with the original Red & Blue duo:

KEITH (Aka. He isn't emo, just unique)

- Demisexual Homoromantic (Yes.) - He/Him Pronouns - Full Name Headcanon: Keith's full name is “Keith Akira Kogane” and other languages. However, I like to think that Keith's father (whom I've named: Hyeong-Min, Hyeon by itself means “Virtuous or Worthy” and Min means “Sharp-minded” which I think fits someone who is Keith's dad.) His surname in Japan is Kogane, yes. But in Korea, it would be Kim. As both Kim and Kogane mean “Gold” in Korean and Japanese. This does mean that Keith has a Korean name along with his usual one. I'm choosing to go along with the idea that when Hyeong-min's parents left Korea and moved to Texas, they gave him a Korean name but when Hyeong-min and Krolia had Keith, they chose to gave him multiple names depending where he was. TLDR; (Japanese - Akira Kogane; Korean - Ki-Joo or Ki-Joon Kim/Kogane; Common - Keith Akira Kogane.) - Absolute Literature nerd (He spent a shit long time in that cabin. There's no way Adam or Shiro hadn't found him before and given him books or something to occupy himself.) - I love having him as Japanese-Korean + Half-Galra but he was raised in Texas so he's forgotten a lot of his Korean since no one was there to continuously talk to him in the language like his dad did. Shiro talks Japanese with him so that one is still fine. Keith's been trying to relearn Korean but it's hard since he gets sad (and mad) when thinking about his dad. - He wears eyeliner. Shiro taught him to. - He wears too many rings. And whenever he has to wash his hands, he takes them off, and Lance practically faints every time Keith flexes his hands to ensure his rings are in place. - Despite being touch-repulsed, Keith is so fucking touch-starved it's unreal. - Keith only calls Shiro “Takashi” when he's mad or sad. No in-between. One time he did it was when he was younger, Shiro beat him in Mario Kart and he got so mad, he screamed: "I'm disowning myself from you, Takashi!" and Shiro almost cried. - Keith's Galra side only comes out when he's focused, mad, or extremely flustered about something. Lance teased him to no end one time and his skin started turning purple. - After Allura and Keith had their talk, Allura's been trying to make his little Galra situation better. If she sees him slowly turning purple and becoming anxious about it, she'll turn purple too for the remainder of his ordeal. (And then it becomes a “who wears purple the best”) - Keith loves music, he likes to play the keyboard or piano at times, only problem is that he's a bit tone-deaf (which is surprising considering he actually is pretty good at playing those instruments.) - He is lactose-intolerant, only that he doesn't give a shit and does continuously eat or drink dairy products, it doesn't make him sick though because of his Galra genes... but he does, quite literally, destroy the bathroom.

LANCE (Aka. Too many sad shit)

- Bisexual Disaster (with a hint of internalized homophobia) - He/Him Pronouns - Full Name Headcanon: His real name is Leandro Agustín Nuñez Carmen Esposita-McClain, shortened to Lance McClain. Just like @autisticlancemcclain's headcanon, I love it a lot. (Sorry for the ping, if it did) - All his siblings have acronym names along with their mother. Mervin, headcanon McClain papa's name, is the only one without one. - Lance has central heterochromia, meaning the inner ring of his eyes are brown whilst the rest is blue. Kinda like this:

(This is a picture I got off Google, please don't sue me. And yes, I know it's more orange than brown but I couldn't find a good enough reference to show you all, basically it's just like that except the middle is much darker) - He's constantly terrified he'll forget things from Earth. Like his sense of time, the way colors are, the way the light moves, the moon changing every night, everything. Not just because of you know, Voltron and stuff, but because he has memory issues too. - He accidentally forgot the name of his niece and nephew one time and panicked afterward as he scrambled to think of what they were. Now, he has little notes in his pocket that holds all his family members' names. - Lance is a prodigy at playing music, specifically guitars but he doesn't think he's good after the last time he played in a competition, he got absolutely destroyed and insulted by one of the other sour competitors that he never tried to play a guitar again because everytime he tries to, that memory keeps coming back and it's one of the many reasons he has such low self-esteem. - He thought he was sick the first time he had a crush on a guy from the first week of being in the Garrison (it was Keith) and rang up his mother only to be politely told that he wasn't sick. - Lance often tries to write little poems for Keith because he knows how much he likes literature only to throw it allow or out the airlock when he thinks it isn't good enough. It leads to the first poem Keith received from him being the most romantic and elegantly made poem he's ever read... (and he only got it because Lance forgot where he left it when he was planning on throwing it away again) - Despite being a flirt, Lance cannot handle being flirted with. Keith is surprisingly smooth with his comebacks (it's only when he doesn't try). - Keith sometimes accidentally (or purposefully, depending on the situation) initiates physical affection and it flusters Lance to no end. - He prefers wearing gold because Keith told him one time that it suited him. Aka: Keith's opinion of anything Lance wears is what he sticks to as a fashion choice.

If you could've made Klance canon, at what point would you have made them official?

At any point.

I'm kidding. I think around Season 5 or 6, with Keith's BoM arc. Maybe when Keith comes back from the whole Space Whale thing... remember when Lance was like "bigger, grizzled older brother" of Keith or something- I can definitely see him fanboying over Keith (like he always does, even if he doesn't admit it) but honestly

The idea of Lance being sad about Keith being gone for so long makes him realize he appreciates Keith's presence on the team, appreciates the "rivalry" between them, appreciates the quiet stares between them, appreciates when Keith goes to the training room at night and fills the silent air with tales of practicing and battle. He appreciates Keith. Keith, who he said he hated before. Keith, who he tried to ignore before. Keith, who was the red paladin, and now, Lance was the red paladin. Everywhere, even in the Red Lion, Lance thought of Keith. Everything reminded him of Keith. Keith. Keith.

I want the same thing with Keith too on the space whale. Him bonding with Krolia by telling stories of his friends, talking about Hunk's cooking, Pidge's intelligence and creations, Allura and Coran's heritage, Allura's strict but helpful nature, Coran's light-hearted way of breaking the tension, Shiro's leadership abilities and how he helped him before, Lance's... Lance. Lance being Lance. Lance being a flirt, Lance being a douchebag, Lance being the friend he never knew he needed, Lance being the reason he opens up a bit more to the team, Lance being the sharpshooter, Lance always having his back. Lance being his right-hand man when he was the Black Paladin in Shiro's absence. Lance. Lance. Lance.

Keith's really smart but doesn't fully understand humor so he'll pretend not to know some pop culture thing or extremely essential piece of knowledge for the bit and everyone takes him seriously and now everyone on the ship thinks he not only doesn't know what Legos are but also didn't know the difference between blue and green until Voltron.

Now... At first, I couldn't whether this was supposed to be a request for me to write until I actually started reading it and my little brain processed the damn thing. So here it is <3

(I may have gone way too off the script but oh well. I really liked it NFKJAN It's short but oh well, whoever wants to use it- go ahead. Have fun!)

"Keith."

Lance stared back at him with a perplexed, almost offended look in his eyes. The red paladin was almost tempted to stop the act and laugh in his face at how gobsmackingly stupid he looked right now. "Don't be fucking with me right now."

The blue paladin looked so serious and so utterly cute as he stared down at Keith on the floor, "What?" Keith answered, tilting his head a bit as he looked up at Lance.

"Are you colorblind?" He asked, moving closer to him, "Or just actually clueless?"

Keith couldn't help but give out a small chuckle, "I'm not colorblind, Lance. I'm quite sure of that."

It had been just a few weeks since the 'reveal' that Keith didn't know what Legos were.. that was fine, apparently. Not everyone had the option of having those little foot-breaking blocks... no, the thing Lance was so offended and disgruntled by was the fact that Keith mistook his blue lion for Pidge's. Not only were they different sizes, but Lance was so offended that his beauty of a lion was being compared to Pidge's snarky and "know-it-all" one. No offense, Pidge. He said before.

He might have chalked it up to Keith being slightly colorblind or his Galran heritage having something to do with the way he sees color... but the red paladin have proved before that he did know the difference between the two lions.. and now, Lance was utterly convinced he was just doing it to fuck with him.

"You're such a bitch." Keith laughed at his reaction, the very nerve!

How could he just sit there and laugh and look so beautiful?! It seemed as though Keith took pleasure in tormenting him, mocking him with his laughter and leaving Lance feeling foolish and inadequate. The audacity of that little shit...

This infuriatingly bossy, annoying, devious, stubborn, hot-headed, irresistible-

The blue paladin stared at him. Stared at how Keith laughed, realizing he didn't do it very often. He sat there and stared at him, for a long time he now realized.

With a sudden gesture, Keith waved his hand in front of Lance's eyes, jolting him out of his daze. Lance's gaze locked onto the red paladin, realizing that Keith had stealthily closed the distance while Lance was lost in his thoughts. As Lance stared back, mesmerized by Keith's captivating eyes—a mesmerizing blend of swirling black and purple, sprinkled with specks of dark blue—he couldn't help but think how stunning Keith looked up close. However, Lance's mind abruptly snapped back to reality. Wait.

Oh dear.

Galra keith headcannons?

I have so many requests to do this week- NFAKJN so, I'll do this one first. Thank you for the question!! - I'll do this as full Galra Keith so he was most likely raised by his mother, taken away from Earth. He's still half but more Galra characteristics showed in his birth so Krolia thought it was better if she took him and raised him in the blade. - I always give him a long tail with a bit of fluff at the end, I just think it's cute and it would be great to see Keith with more Galra characteristics, not just his teeth, eyes, skin, or ears changing. - Have y'all seen Ikimaru's Galra Keith design?

^ Basically this absolute bean <3 - I love the idea of him having lavender/soft-purple skin. Just the idea of it matches so well and contrasts with his otherwise dark color palette.

- Krolia eyes. His eyes are like Krolia's, except maybe a bit darker. But I just love the idea of him being a mini-me of his mother. - Keith's teeth, specifically his canines, grow slightly when he is mad or feels strong emotions. - Since I'm doing this as full Galra Keith. His hair is much longer and grows a lot faster too, I would love to say he keeps it that length but no. Whenever it grows, he cuts it off and makes it into his fucking mullet again.

- I love the idea of Galra's being cat-like. Purring, chirping, or mewling if they were pleased or even just sleeping... it gives them such a cute aspect to the otherwise "evil" Galra most people know. So like.. imagine Keith just sleeping and purring in his sleep. That's just the image I wanted to see.

- I'm also gonna add some Krolia + Baby Keith headcanons here: When Krolia first brought her new kit back to the blade, she couldn't leave him alone at all as Keith would cry until she was back at his side once more.

- Baby Keith loved being held by his mom around the headquarters and whenever she tried to put him down, he would cry and cling to her like any other kit would. (Is it obvious I wanna talk more about Galra kits and their whole deal?)

Anyways. I probably could think of so many more headcanons but I legit have no brain space to think this early in the morning so yeah <3

what up you said you had art block and wanted asks so

what are your opinions of the heights of the team?? Cause I've been pulling reference images, I've been trying my hardest to figure it out, and so far all I know for SURE is that shiro hunk and coran are taller than lance, who is taller than allura and keith. I'm getting VERY CONFLICTED about the details- sometimes shiro is taller than hunk, sometimes coran is taller than hunk, sometimes shiro is taller than coran, sometimes hunk is taller than shiro, I'm going insane.

Personally I'm leaning towards making Hunk tallest because I simply think he deserves it. And I know that they roughly resemble their lions, and that the black lion is biggest so theoretically shiro might be biggest, but keith takes over the black lion and he's tiny so I think Hunk deserves to be tallest.

In my opinion, I'd agree with you and say: Hunk's the tallest. Shiro's probably an inch or two shorter than Hunk because Hunk still had time to grow, the paladins were all around 18 and 17 when they got into space and obviously, Keith got a growth spurt (even if it was the Galra genes). I would've loved the idea of the paladins resembling their lions but I also agree with you on that fact too. Whilst Shiro was the tallest when they first started, I think Hunk passed him after a year or so by like an inch. The order for me would be (and I'm including everyone in the main team here): - Hunk, Shiro, Coran, Lance, Allura, Keith, Pidge. (Before Keith went with BoM) - Hunk, Shiro, Coran, Keith, Lance, Allura, Pidge. (After Keith joined back) Hunk and Shiro have already been explained, but I just want to justify Klance's heights. Lance, we know is taller than Keith (at the start) by around one or two inches, but after the BoM change, Keith grew to be a bit more of Lance's height. I'd say now, they're around the same height. Allura, I was so conflicted on, because in the show, she bends down to hug BoM Keith but goes on her tip-toes for Lance even though they are like.. almost the same height. Voltron is weird with perspectives, but I can honestly think that if Keith matched Lance now, Allura would have to be shorter too (by a few inches, again). And Pidge is just the shortest.

A filler episode that I would love to see in Voltron... I would love to see just a team bonding experience, like an episode with just them fooling around. Just an episode with smiles and laughs (without the worry of war looming over their heads :'D)

I'm thinking something similar to a game night... like a spa day with Lance (because yeah) teaching Allura and Coran along with the others how to put on masks and relax and stuff. That would be really cute to see.

Another idea could be a Hunk cooking day, like the team offered to try out some of Hunk's new recipes and he had them taste-testing it all. And we get varying degrees reactions from vomiting to outright bliss.

I can't think of filler episodes that would revolve around Keith, Shiro, or Pidge.. I mean, we could have a Pidge episode where she just decks everyone out in new gadgets and gizmos and they're just testing it out (kinda like the taste-testing idea) and we get explosions and screams of horror and amazement- yeah. That'd be fun.

Thoughts on the ending of voltron?

Equally loved and hated it. Like- I loved how everything turned out, how Pidge and her family are together, Hunk with his culinary empire, Shiro marrying (despite us not knowing Curtis at all). And controversial opinion, I don't mind farmer Lance as much. Like, I don't think it's going to be permanent for him- I think maybe it was just something he thought he'd do whilst mourning Allura but that he'll be back to see the stars like how he always dreamed of once more. I think he's staying for a while just for his family, but I don't think it's permanent. As for Keith... love that he's helping people with the Blade and stuff, but I wish it would've involved something with Krolia and the Galra he's closer to if they did choose to focus on that aspect. I never saw him as a guy who would do volunteer work every day, I'd think he'd do other missions that the Blade would do (like checking previous Galra territory, etc for any strays- I don't know NFKJA) love that for him though. Allura's sacrifice, I knew it was going to happen. Like, she just screamed like a character that had to give up something in the end. I loved how much of an impact it made, but in all honesty, the writers disappointed me with just a "slowly walking away" scene for her sacrifice... could've given us some more shit to shed our tears on </3 NAKJFN but yeah, that's all my thoughts on it.
