Pairings: Jimin & hybrid reader

Synopsis: Jimin is looking for a hybrid to adopt. He finds y/n at his local hybrid shelter and knew she was what he has been looking for. Y/n is a very shy and self-conscious cow hybrid. Her animal DNA causes her to be on the heavier side, and y/n feels out of place with other hybrids. What will Jimin have to do to show y/n she’s perfect the way she is?

CHAPTER 1

Y/N POV

Nine. This is the ninth shelter I've been sent to from the age of 7 to the age of 21. My life had been good up until that point. My mom gave birth to me on a farm which we lived on. For seven splendid years I played, ate, and lived with other farm type hybrids.

That all ended when the farm burnt down. Not many of us survived, and we suspected it was the result of a hate crime against our kind. My whole life, my mom, was ripped away from me because of the evil people that shattered my whole world.

So here I am in my 9th shelter. I've been adopted before but they never wanted to keep me when they realize how much I eat. It's not like it's my fault though, my DNA dictates me to constantly be munching on something. I can't help that I'm a cow…

Jimin's POV

Why is it so hard to go inside? I glanced at my watch and notice I've been standing outside of the hybrid shelter for 15 minutes. I need to go inside before someone reports me for standing out here so long. I take another deep breath, shake out my nerves, and open the door to step inside.

[24 hours earlier]

“Taeeeeee…” I whine into my couch cushion.

“Waaahhh, Jiminie?” Tae asks on the other side of his phone.

“I'm so nervous! What if he or she doesn't like me and wants to leave??” I know Tae can probably could practically hear how hard I was pouting.

“That's nonsense! Any hybrid would feel so lucky to have you as his or her owner. Don't worry so much.” There's a reason why Tae is my best friend; he knows how to calm me down.

“I love you, Tae!” I cry into the receiver.

“I love you too, you big softie. Now go get ready for your new friend already!” Tae laughs into the phone before hanging up on a very nervous Jimin.

[Present day]

I take in the surroundings of the shelter as I walk inside. It seems pleasant enough; the walls are painted in a pretty sunshine yellow color and it smells sweet like vanilla.

I'm greeted by bubbly Golden retriever hybrid at the front desk, and he seems to help my nerves settled down quite a bit. “Hello, welcome to Safe Haven Hybrid Sanctuary! My name is Hoseok, how may I help you?”

I smile up at the energetic pup. “Hi, I'm looking to adopt.”

The pup’s ears perk up. “That's fantastic to hear Mr…” he says waiting for my name.

“Jimin. My name is Park Jimin.” I shuffle towards the desk where Hoseok is sifting through a filing cabinet.

“Mr. Park, before I show you around, I need you to fill out some paperwork.”

“Of course,” Hoseok hands me a clipboard full of various papers. No more than 15 minutes later Hoseok is leading me to where the hybrids live.
