First Impressions Reading

Notes--

Hey, it's been a while!

I've been MIA for practically a year due to work, poor health, and school. Thankfully, I've recovered from the aftermath of working that job, I'm still figuring out my health, but my studies are almost officially over leaving me with time to get back into tarot reading once again (yay!).

I've kind of changed up my reading style so if you're familiar with my old readings I'd love to know what you think of this style vs my old style. I don't think it's that different, but who knows.

Anyways, I think that's all the housekeeping for today. The usual disclaimer is at the bottom, enjoy your reading!

Pile One

Hi Pile One! So just an fyi, I feel like what I’m picking up on in this reading is multiple first impressions? I know that doesn’t sound like it makes any sense. But your reading I feel picks up a lot on your person’s past at first and then a romantic/companionship first impression later? Like a friends-to-lovers kind of thing.

Right off the bat I feel like your first impression of your future spouse is startling. As I’m shuffling the cards are jumping out, I’m get startled, I’m trembling. But it’s not necessarily in a bad way. Looking at the cards, the ‘vibes’ are complex. The cards flip over but stay hidden in the deck. Oddly enough, it’s not the cards with negative connotations, but positive ones. Like your person hides the better parts of them… maybe in the name of vulnerability.

When you meet you can sense they're healing from something upon first impressions. Your person may have walked away from a lifestyle that many would desire or some kind of association with wealth that was actually killing them from the inside out. From your first one-on-one interaction, you can tell that the wild inside them that’s had to escape and survive gets triggered easily. It may show up in their work or their self-talk. You can see they’re trying to fight their inner battles, but they may need a friend to help them do so.

You may meet them at the end of a significant period of healing for them when they have to face the heavy stuff of their past. You may feel like their perspective of life, be it all of it or one aspect, isn’t very fair. I don’t want to say they have a pessimistic view of life in general, but maybe their life in particular. To you, one bad thing happening doesn’t mean the end of the world but for them it does. Initially, you might not think they care to hear what anyone has to say but that is untrue. They might simply be off in their own world as most of the people on the cards are looking down or turned away, yet their cards symbolise openness and communication. For some of you, your person may just be shy and it’s easy to pick up on in your first meeting.

When the time comes to show interest in a romantic/companionship relationship, they might approach the subject gently. They’d want to be your knight in shining armour (as in they want to take care of you even though you can handle it yourself), but they recognize that as much as they’ve made progress, they still have some healing to do. Once they’ve gone through the darker stuff, they have a much lighter energy to them. You can see it in their appearance, habits, speech and general demeanour. You may notice that they are more spiritual (by your own personal definition). For some you may drift apart briefly (a couple months) and when you reconnect you gather that they’ve become dedicated to growing and nourishing their peace. You may also pick up on a wisdom that they’ve gained from their healing journey.

Pile Two

Pile two, I am loving you person’s energy! This person is calm, cool and collected. They’re not one to tell out all their secrets and they are 100% in their power. There are a lot of hands in the cards as well as imagery of fencing to enclose something. Your person may quickly and easily give off vibes of being guarded as people may chase after them and what they offer.

Your person gives off vibes of being hardworking and they definitely are. However, you can tell they work so hard one of the first thoughts to cross your mind will probably have something to do with “they’re gonna burn out if they don’t relax”. Them burning out isn’t something that happens often tough and when they do, they hide it well. People, yourself included, may wonder how this person can juggle so many things at once so well. They’re resilient and indulge in their many tasks in moderation, even when it means pissing someone off. They know their limits and that’s something that will be evident to you when you meet.

Communication seems to be a big factor in how they make an impression. For pile one *spoilers* it appeared that one of the ways they get their impression from their person was based on what their person was saying. For you, it’s how they say it. Your person has excellent communication skills and has prominent leadership vibes. They may work in a position that requires them to lead multiple groups or teams, or at the very least, you can see they have the qualities of a good leader.

First impressions for you most likely show this person is well off, and honestly a bit of a person of desire. They don’t pay people much mind though. You can tell if you want their attention you have to show you’re genuine. People either want them in a romantic sense or for the material things they have to offer. For some of you, they may work in finance as a manager for company accounts.

Some way somehow, you may be able to tell they’re crafty… in a clever sense and/or as in literal crafts. They’re creative but in a practical sense. This person is the type of person who gathers ideas from EVERYTHING and can make an inconvenience work for them. You may also gather that they’re someone always looking for a way to improve themself.

From the first conversation(s) with them you can tell they think about their legacy and what kind of impact they want to leave behind.

Pile Three

Your first impression of your future spouse is less about them specifically and more about the general feeling.

I think for many of you, this person might come into your life when you’re least expecting it. They feel fated… You’ve got the Wheel of Fortune so it’s like meeting this person was going to happen regardless. They most likely will feel like the start of a new beginning. It’s not a prominent feeling, but you will be able to recognise that something inside you shifts.

Your person is someone who upon first meeting changes your perspective. For some, they may spark the desire to improve in some format. They may be older and/or wiser, but you can tell it came from hard work and hard life experiences. Yet there’s a gentleness to them, as though all the things they may have endured only made them softer. They may seem too good to be true. You or they may be going through a transition in life. An unbecoming, I hear. Some of you might need to make a decision and this person helps influence it.

Your feelings/impression of this person— You can tell this person is respected. They’re level-headed and a good communicator. They’re someone you can connect with on many levels instantly.

I feel like there’s not much to say about this person. It’s kind of a 'when you know, you know' type of situation. Meeting them is like an exploration of yourself as well as them. Generous and gentle, they may do a lot of volunteer work. There’s a homeliness to them and an unspoken strength. They’re someone you can lean on.

I know I’ve said it already but the energy of this person feeling like & being a fated new beginning comes through very strong.

They could also signify a fiery romance, adventure and passion. The energy they exude resembles letting loose and not caring what someone thinks. They may influence you in this way, inspire you to be authentically you. From the first meet, they’re a leap of faith.

No specific thing comes to mind because last minute I got the lovers. Just a heartwarming feeling for you all about this person.

Also, they’re physically attractive, not just by your standards though. Most people would see them and agree they’re pleasant to look at. (Someone tell me if that’s how they interpret physical attraction as well lol).

Pile Four

*Minor Language

Okay so meeting in a kitchen or the medical area immediately jump out at me. Of course, that’s not the only scenario in which you could meet but it definitely comes through the strongest. For some of you, this is someone you know and have been trying to outrun for a lack of a better word. You may think you’re polar opposites but I don’t think you are. Taurus energy comes through strong, so they may have strong Taurus placements. You and your person may be similar. But there’s definitely that vibe of ‘oh great, you again.’ kind of enemies to lovers.

Brief story time to help you paint the picture. The 'polar opposites but not really' remind me of my sisters. Both of them are a Taurus. They always clashed when they were younger. Sister A would complain about Sister B as if she didn’t do the same exact thing Sister A was pissing her off with. It was equal parts annoying and amusing. However, now that they’ve kind of ‘separated’ and both reshaped themselves in new environments, they’re closer than ever… but they’ll never admit it willingly. If you’re still with me, hopefully, this will help make the rest of the reading make more sense.

So I had to redo your reading because I couldn’t interpret the cards clearly the first time around. However, I was definitely picking up on the whole enemies or at the very least ‘mutual nuisances’ to lovers first time around. I had also picked up that this could be an LGBTQ+ relationship for a few of you.

You most likely have a prior impression of this person or you two just don’t click upon meeting. The first scenario comes through strongest so that’s the one I’m reading, but of course, interpret as you would like. In the situation where you meet again, you may be frustrated with them initially, but you two have to come to peace, most likely for a business endeavour or something career-related it seems.

I see you keeping your eye on them though. They seem trustworthy but you know what they were like in the past. If it’s a completely new person, you can pick up that they may be a bit of an ass. You might be very in your head about them after your ceasefire and at some point have to take a step back and assess yourself. Some of you might know this person from as far back as childhood. You might notice this person has actually grown a lot and come to the realisation that you have to hold them to a new standard.

Some of you, you may be jaded towards this person because they broke your heart. You may be exes or there may have been a third-party situation where they chose something else over you. It could be a person that was the third party, but it feels like it was you or an opportunity and they picked the opportunity over you. Maybe the same opportunity leads to them coming back to you better.

Your new forming impression of them seems to be one of reluctant admiration. Whatever successes you see them with now, they’ve worked hard to earn and you can see it. It’s in their work ethic the effort they make in how they carry themself. You’ll notice how intuitive this person is and/or how fast they think on their feet. They’re mentally agile and can handle what is thrown at them quickly and with ease. They could be very creative and adaptable or they may inspire creativity in you.

“Puppies, kittens, sunshine, kindness, a deeper sense of self, a new track pad and high definition camera.”

Emily leaned over, studying the list Penelope was dutifully making. They were having their morning coffee at Central Perk, as they had done for the past week. They, like many others, were really making the most of the snowstorm passing.

“What you got there?” She asked, “A shopping list?” She didn’t think you could buy a deeper sense of self from the local grocery store – or puppies or kittens for that matter.

Penelope’s mouth curved up in a smile. She paused her writing for a moment to swat Emily playfully. “No silly.”

“They’re her new year’s resolutions,” JJ explained.

They both whipped their heads up to see JJ approaching their table. She was still catching her breath, sweat glistening over her collarbones in all her post run glory. Emily wasn’t unfamiliar with the sight by now but it still made her stomach flip.

There was also the new sight of the butterfly necklace hanging around her neck, glinting in the light. The way that sight in particular made Emily’s heart skip a beat was still something to get used to. She’d hardly taken it off since opening it on Christmas morning, only parting with it to take a shower or occasionally when she slept.

JJ wrapped up her earphones as she plopped herself down on the other side of Penelope.

“Hmm,” JJ mused, examining the list for herself. “We just acquired a cat and a dog, are you saying you’re not satisfied?”

Penelope rolled her eyes, like JJ was completely missing the point. “No, this list is about what I want to surroundmyself with in the New Year, more like energies, not necessarily purchases.”

JJ nodded, like it was obvious now. “Oh, of course.” She paused for a moment before considering a thought. “I know somewhere you could surround yourself with puppies and kittens. A shelter, where a certain dashing - ”

“You two should make your own lists,” Penelope cut her off in a fluster.

JJ smirked, looking to Emily who hid her laugh behind her mug of coffee. Neither of them had missed the way Penelope reacted to Luke, the way her eyes would flicker down at the mere mention of him. Tara had been keeping in touch with her old college buddy after they’d been reunited at the shelter, and then again at the market. The fact that he was also a friend of Matt’s was a happy coincidence. It was almost inevitable that he’d assimilate into their group, a fact Penelope seemed in denial about.

At first Emily hadn’t been sure what it was about – she’d had her suspicions, but the psychology of Penelope Garcia was still new to her. JJ had cleared things up. Penelope loves to flirt,she’d told Emily, as they were out shopping for groceries one morning, their topic of conversation still sleeping soundly. Emily had certainly noticed Penelope’s love of that particular pastime, but she’d listened intently as JJ continued. But it’s not very often that she has to run into them again, or better yet, they become an actual part of her life. The prospect of something more happening, something real… I think it freaks her out. And Luke, well, I’ve never seen her so freaked out.

So Penelope liked Luke. A lot. And it rattled her. Emily recalled these thoughts as she watched JJ smiling down at the list, eyes sparkling. Yeah, Emily could relate to that.

“I don’t know if I’ll bother with a list this year,” JJ said, letting her tired legs stretch out in front of her and under the table.

Penelope gasped. “You have to! It sets the tone for your whole year.”

JJ scrunched up her nose. “But all it ever does is make you feel like a failure when you don’t complete everything. Isn’t that the case with everyone?”

Penelope shook her head, continuing with her own list. “That’s because you set actual goals.”

“As opposed to your… energies, ah I see where I’ve gone wrong now.”

Penelope swatted her on the arm and JJ laughed. She made fun, but it was undeniable that Penelope was the happiest person she knew, generally speaking – she had her demons just like anyone – but she was pretty good at keeping things optimistic. Maybe she had a point. And apparently, Emily agreed. She was currently clicking out her own pen, nodding towards the paper.

“Okay, I’ll bite, how does one make a New Years Resolution list, Penelope Garcia style?”

JJ’s eyebrows shot up. Emily smiled. Penelope exploded.

“Oh yay! Okay, so basically the most important thing is to think about what makes you happy – it could be anything, even little things you don’t think about like….”

She rambled on, explaining her ethos to a perplexed looking Emily. But she just nodded along, clearly doing her best to follow her friends weird and wonderful ways. JJ smiled and eventually gave in, asking Jordan if she could borrow a pen when she came to ask for her order.

“So do you have any plans for tonight?” she asked as she accepted the outstretched pen with a smile.

Jordan let out a sigh, stuffing her hands into the front of her apron. “No, I was meant to be going to a friends but they decided to stay with their family back in Dallas. Think the snowstorm scared them off.”

JJ gave her a sympathetic smile. “I’m sorry. Really messed things up for everyone that thing.”

Penelope nodded with a huff. “A real bastard.”

Jordan laughed as she made to turn back to the counter. Emily nearly spilled hot coffee all over herself when Penelope whipped around, arm stretched over the back of the couch.

“Hey, we’re going to a party tonight, why don’t you come?”

The spare pen in Jordan’s hand fell to the counter, her mouth hanging open. “I… I don’t want to impose.”

Penelope waved her hand. “Oh, it’s no bother honestly, the more the merrier!”

Jordan still looked unsure, her eyes flickering to Emily and JJ to gauge their reaction. Both just offered a warm smile.

“But I don’t even know this friend of yours.”

Penelope snorted. “Kate’s cool, and we have good street cred. Any friend of ours is a friend of hers, really.”

A blush spread over Jordan’s cheeks and she finally gave a small nod, eyes falling onto Emily just a moment longer.

“What’s that?”

They all collectively looked to each other, eyes wide, as Rossi strode in from the back.

“Oh, just - ” Penelope fumbled with her words.

But Rossi just cracked into a smile. “Don’t worry, I won’t cramp your style. I’m having a quiet get together here for the old timers.”

“Oh, I wouldn’t say - ” Penelope started to say, what she wasn’t quite sure, but Rossi raised a hand to stop her yet again.

“Really, it’s okay. You kids have fun. But hey.” He pointed a finger, face stern. “Not too much.” A parting wink let them know he was joking.

Penelope laughed nervously as she turned back around. “Oh god I wasn’t ageist was I?”

JJ gave a light laugh, patting her on the back. “Just be glad you won’t have to apologise to Kate for bringing a hoard of horny 60 year old women with you tonight.”

Penelope shuddered. “Rossi fan girls are the worst.”

“I’m not even asking,” Emily said, taking another gulp of coffee.

“Hey don’t go crazy on the caffeine, you need to fill yourself up with real food before tonight.” Penelope was grinning in a way that made Emily nervous.

She looked to JJ who just shook her head.

Emily set down her fork, leaning back in her chair with an almighty groan. She didn’t think after thanksgiving and Christmas dinner, she’d ever eat so much again, certainly not so soon.

“I’m right there with you,” JJ mumbled from beside her. She was slumped so far down her chair that she was nearly under the table.

“Are our stomachs suitably lined?” Penelope asked. She still had a spring in her step as she returned from paying for the bill.

Emily gestured what she hoped was a nod.

They’d ended up at a very nice café only a few blocks down that seemed to only serve brunch, in vast amounts – otherwise known on New Year’s Eve as pre-drinking food. And it seemed everyone there had the same idea. All around them were people sat in front of bowls of oats, berries and bananas, Greek yoghurt, melon, something she’d been informed by Penelope was Chia pudding, and eggs – lots and lots of eggs. Emily herself had consumed a mountain.

She also didn’t miss how much younger the people around them were. There had to be at least a decade between her and the boy who was snapping pictures of his avocado on toast. It made her groan even louder.

“Aw come on, you’ll thank me later.” Penelope grinned and hauled them both up to their feet.

JJ laughed as she held the door open for them both. “Pen, I told you, you’re not getting me drunk.”

Penelope huffed as they made their way down the bustling street. Emily had remembered how busy Christmas had been in New York – New Year was even worse. In these hours before the real celebrations started, it was like the entire city was buzzing: people scurrying around and filling shopping carts with alcohol like Armageddon was upon them. With the way the sun was starting to set behind buildings, it did have that apocalyptic glow about it.

“But it’s like sacrilege to waste all that preparation!” Penelope protested. “Well Emily, I know you won’t let me down.”

Emily laughed uneasily as Penelope turned her attention onto her. “You’ve never even seen me drunk.”

Penelope just grinned. “And that’s all the more reason! I need to know what Emily Prentiss is like under the influence.”

She winked and Emily shook her head, continuing forward down the street. They were close to Central Park now. Emily looked to her watch. She really could do with walking off some of their feast.

“Hey, do we have time for a walk?” She asked. They were close enough to the park now that she only had to nod forward and they understood her meaning.

Penelope looked down to her watch like Emily just had. “We still have another hour or so before we need to get ready. I’d say that’s a splendid idea!”

The three of them were getting the subway out to Kate’s apartment in Brooklyn, while Derek and Spencer dropped Clooney and Sergio off at a sitter. Emily could tell when she left that morning that Sergio knew exactly what was in store for him. But the sitter they’d called had ensured them they’d be kept apart. She’d felt guilty, but it was better than the alternative: leaving them alone in their apartments on New Years Eve with all the noise – there was sure to be fireworks, and none of them felt comfortable leaving them alone.

Matt himself had given them the recommendation of the sitter – he was dropping Bonnie and Clyde off there this afternoon too. A sweet old lady who loved animals and didn’t have any desire to leave her house just outside the city, she was the perfect fit. Matt had actually said Bonnie and Clyde loved running around her back yard so much, he’d worried they wouldn’t want to come home. But as soon as he’d come to pick them up the next week they’d nearly knocked him over in their excitement. Emily wasn’t sure Sergio had that much of an attachment to her; she’d see how he reacted tomorrow.

Penelope smiled at Emily’s suggestion of a walk and looped her arm with hers. Emily tried to hide her surprise when JJ chose to walk on Emily’s side rather than Penelope’s, looping her arm in a similar fashion. She just smiled at her, like it was a completely natural act for them now. Emily supposed it was. They were friends after all.

Still, she found herself wishing Penelope wasn’t on the other side of her, that it was just the two of them, walking over a snowy street on Christmas day…

She nearly shook her head as she once again tried to banish the thought. But it was getting harder and harder.

As they entered Central Park she let her attention fall onto the many friends and families, enjoying the snow now that the storm had passed. She couldn’t help but be particularly captivated by the ice-skaters, two people whizzing around the ice like they were born doing it. She had to admit, it was impressive, the grace they managed to maintain when going at such a speed. She thought back to Penelope explaining how to write their resolutions list – one point being to include at least one new skill you wanted to learn. Emily mulled this over as she watched a woman fly into the air and execute a perfect twirl before landing softly.

JJ cursed as a man stumbled in front of her, nearly spilling his open can of cider all over her coat. It wasn’t yet 6pm but the festivities were in full swing on the subway from Manhattan to Brooklyn. They hadn’t been above ground to see the sunset but JJ sensed the shift from day to night, just as their present company seemed to.

“Haaaappy New Year!!!” A woman sang who was getting dangerously close to them with what looked like a raised lighter.

JJ automatically shifted away, which left her squeezed into Emily’s side. She just gave her an uneasy smile. While JJ wasn’t a big fan of the subway when it got this busy, she was still familiar enough with the experience. By the bewildered look on Emily’s face she could tell this was a first for her.

“You doing okay there?” JJ asked. It was so loud in the carriage – they’d all started singing now – that Emily was only able to hear her given their close proximity.

Emily grimaced. “Uh, yeah, I don’t tend to get the subway this late.”

JJ nodded in understanding. “Taxi?”

Emily laughed. “If I’m even out after nightfall.”

JJ smiled and gestured to the carriage that was all but shaking as the crowd began to jump to the music. “Well New Year isn’t the best introduction to nighttime subway rides.”

Plus, there was the fact it was a half-hour long journey. She sensed Emily had opted for a taxi every time she’d met them out at the youth centre too. Since she’d been staying with them she’d gotten the subway into work in the morning with the rest of them – bar Derek if he’d gotten the notion to run all the way in that day. But JJ had to admit; even Emily on the subway at 8am was an odd sight. The way she would sit with her whole body contracted, eyes shifting uneasily to the people around her, well, JJ got the feeling Emily favored a taxi ride over the subway even in daylight hours.

Still, she couldn’t deny the contentment she felt at having an excuse to be this close to Emily. Maybe that was selfish, but she found herself caring less and less every day. But she didn’t want Emily to feel uncomfortable. She discretely shifted a hand to her knee, hoping the gesture would help. Emily smiled back.

“2006!!!!” They both snapped their heads up at the voice breaking out over the crowd’s singing.

Penelope had gotten to her feet at some point without them noticing, and was currently swinging herself round one of the poles - a picture of absolute glee.

JJ laughed. “6 more hours yet Pen,” she called over the noise, but she didn’t hear her.

JJ then felt Emily’s hand cover her own that was rested on her knee. It could be the atmosphere, or the fact that Penelope clearly wasn’t paying them any attention, but JJ smiled back without any reservation. One thing was certain; it was getting harder to deny herself this feeling.

20 minutes or so later they were stepping off the carriage and onto the waiting platform. Emily fumbled, nearly dropping the hefty bag of snacks they were travelling with. Kate had assured them they didn’t need to bring any drinks, she had that covered – and it wasn’t exactly the best thing to be hauling around New York City at night. Emily had visions of smashed wine bottles all over the subway floor and counted herself lucky.

Meanwhile, JJ was dragging Penelope off the carriage who’d struck up a dance with a group of equally lively girls. Emily had never been so glad to feel the cold air hit her as they ascended the stairs leading to the surface. Out of all the new experiences living in New York brought her, the subway wasn’t at the top of her list. Although being so close to JJ was a convincing incentive.

Emily let JJ and Penelope lead her down the street towards Kate’s apartment. It wasn’t far from the youth centre at all – just on the other side of Brooklyn Bridge. When they stopped outside the building Emily noted how it appeared to be an old structure, but recently revamped: still oozing history with its signature red brick, but with a fancy intercom system installed. Penelope buzzed it.

“Yello!” Kate’s chipper voice rang out a second later – clearly she’d started the festivities already.

“It’s your dealer,” Penelope replied with a cheeky smile.

“Oh good, we’re getting antsy. Please come up.”

With another buzz the door opened and Penelope pushed through, holding it for Emily and JJ.

After hearing that Kate’s apartment was on the top floor, Emily’s shoulders sagged in relief at seeing the very inviting elevator in the lobby. Her initial suspicions of the wealth of the building were confirmed when Kate threw open her apartment door.

“Come to me!” Kate grabbed the bag of snacks from Emily as she let the others step inside.

Emily followed after them, taking in the space. Exposed red brick, the same as the kind on its exterior, decorated the back wall, where a bar was already well stocked. There were fairy lights hanging overhead while the main lights were dimmed, giving the impression they really were out at a pub on New Years Eve. The countertop was sleek, and the barstools clearly made from fine leather, but the lights and the brick still gave it a rustic feel. Fluffy white beanbags adorned the outskirts of the lounge to the right. A dining table had been pushed to the side to make room for a makeshift dance floor over dark wood. It was extravagant but cozy at the same time – Emily couldn’t help thinking it was like a perfect blend of JJ and Penelope’s apartment and her own.

“Nice place,” Emily said, still soaking the space up.

“Thank you.” A man popped his head up from behind the bar: dark hair and a clean-shaven baby face, he gave her a beaming smile.

“You must be Chris.” Emily recalled the conversations at the youth centre where Kate had mentioned her boyfriend. Partner? They weren’t married or engaged as far as she knew.

“That I am.” He set some glasses on the counter and rounded it to greet them.

He smiled at Penelope and JJ, already previously acquainted, and offered Emily his hand.

“And you must be Emily.” A firm handshake.

“That I am.”

The smile didn’t drop from his face as their hands fell. “Well it’s great to have another person helping out at the centre, I know those kids really appreciate everything you do.”

“He loves to live vicariously through my good deeds while he’s holed up typing numbers into a computer all day.”

Kate gave a wry smile as she started unpacking the bag of snacks, JJ helping her with the bowls.

“Hey!” Penelope protested, but both laughed.

Emily wracked her brain, trying to remember what Kate’s partner did for a living.

“Computer software,” Chris providing, seeing the confusion on her face, “I won’t bore you with the details.”

Emily nodded, vaguely recalling snippets of conversation.

“Yeah well, I can’t complain.” Kate gestured at the luxurious apartment. Clearly the job paid well.

There was a knowing look between both Kate and Chris then, the hint of a smile on their lips.

“Yeah,” Chris said, “Anyone would think she was marrying me for my money.”

Silence.

“Excuse me?” JJ asked, head zipping back and forth. Penelope was frozen to the spot beside Kate.

With a grin she displayed her left hand out in front of her, a very noticeable diamond ring dazzling before them. Penelope broke out of her frozen state with a gasp, grabbing Kate’s hand with vigor.

“Kate Callahan I cannot believe you!” she was spluttering, not being able to decide whether she was happy or angry at being blind sighted.

Kate shrugged. “We wanted to surprise you.”

“What about the others?” Penelope stopped again, panic setting in. “Wait, we’re not the last to know are we?”

Kate laughed. “Of course not, do you think I’m crazy? No, we thought this way we get to do it more than once.”

JJ laughed, shaking her head. “Well I think champagne is in order?”

Kate grinned and made to get the glasses, but JJ lifted a hand. “Let us mere singletons get that for you. This is your engagement party after all, right? That’s what this is.”

Kate stepped back with her hands up, glad to step down, while JJ rounded the counter. Chris collected their coats, taking them to hang up in their wardrobe when the intercom rang. Kate pushed the button and they were greeted with the jolly voice of Derek Morgan.

“Hey I heard there was a party here? Free booze?”

Kate rolled her eyes before letting them up.

“The kids get off okay?” Penelope asked when they strode in.

Kate quirked an eyebrow.

“Sergio and Clooney,” JJ explained as she handed her a freshly poured glass of champagne.

Kate smirked.

“Our kids,”Penelope reiterated.

“Well ourkid was absolutely fine,” Derek said as she shucked off his coat. “Couldn’t run off to play with the other kids fast enough. Emily’slittle rascal however...”

Emily rolled her eyes, taking a seat at the bar. “Did he bite anyone?”

“No, but - ”

“Did he scratch anyone?”

Derek gave a smug sort of smile as he rolled up the sleeves of his open collared shirt. A pattern of fresh scratches adorned his left arm. Emily considered it for a moment.

“Only one casualty?”

Spencer nodded for him.

Emily shrugged. “I don’t see the problem then.”

Derek pulled his sleeve back down, shaking his head with a laugh. “Yeah well, you want to take Sergio to that place again, you take him yourself.”

Chris came to collect their coats and both of them joined the others around the bar.

“What about actual kids,” Kate said, leaning over the counter, “Has Kayla got plans tonight?”

Derek nodded. “She’s going to a party on campus but I don’t know if I want anymore details than that.”

Kate nodded back. “Wise, I go by the same rules with Meg. I know she’s at a friends tonight and I trust her, so that’s good enough for me.”

Meg - Kate’s niece that she’d adopted, Emily recalled. She wasn’t aware of all the details, but she remembered JJ telling her that her sister had died. Knowing what she knew now, she thought about how much JJ could relate, no matter the circumstances.

Spencer frowned, only then noticing what Kate was drinking. Usually they waited until midnight to crack open the champagne. Of course, it didn’t take long for his eyes to fall onto the ring glistening off of Kate’s left hand. He opened his mouth to speak before Kate beat him to it.

Over the next hour or so more guests streamed into the apartment, Kate and Chris both reveling in the chance to share their news again and again - although, as more people arrived, it got harder to hide the secret. Both were glad Penelope had been among those they’d told first.

The party was in full swing now, despite there still being 3 hours until midnight. More people seemed to just keep flooding in and the space was becoming more and more cramped.

Penelope and Derek had long since claimed centre stage of the dance floor, moving their bodies together to songs Emily didn’t know, in ways she wasn’t sure would be appropriate in public. Tara and Luke stood watching them from the side, nodding along – Penelope avoiding Luke’s obvious gaze. Matt and Kristy were cuddled up in two of the fluffy beanbags, looking like the cheesy already married couple. Hotch and Haley were right there next to them, a weird kind of happy glaze over the criminal law professor’s eyes. Spencer was helping make drinks in the kitchen, which Emily couldn’t help laugh at: she would never have pegged Dr. Reid as a bartender.

Everyone seemed to be having a good time in their own way. But Emily couldn’t help looking for JJ – not that she was keeping tabs on her or anything, she knew she knew more people here than she did. But she hadn’t seen her in an hour at least among the sea of people. One of your friends going missing at a party where most people were strangers was something you noticed.

A consequence of the thumping bass of the music her friends were dancing to, and the constant chatter of voices competing to be heard, was that the buzz of the intercom was completely overshadowed. Emily only heard it because she’d been standing right next to the door.

“Uh, guys,” she gestured awkwardly to the door, seeking out Kate or Chris, but both were busy discussing wedding plans with a couple Emily didn’t know. They were a lot of people here Emily didn’t know. Kate had a lot of friends.

Not getting an answer from anyone, Emily hesitantly pressed the button on the intercom, allowing her to speak.

“Hello?”

The voice on the other end sounded both muffled and harassed. “Hi, I’m Penelope’s friend?” She said it as if she wasn’t sure.

Emily’s brow furrowed for a moment before she remembered. “Oh Jordan, hi!”

“Emily?”

“Yeah, come on up.” She buzzed her in and opened the door out to the stairway.

She was honestly glad to have someone who was just as out of place as her at this party, maybe even more so. A minute later Jordan was rounding the corner up the stairs, looking as harassed as she’d sounded on the intercom.

Emily gave a light laugh. “You find the place okay?”

Jordan heaved a sigh as she reached the top. “I may have gotten off at the wrong subway stop.”

Emily hissed in a breath.

“Yeah,” Jordan laughed, “I’m just glad to make it before midnight.”

Emily smiled. “Here, I’ll take your coat for you.”

Jordan looked up and froze, seeing Emily properly for the first time. She was dressed in tight black jeans and a shimmery (Penelope had told her sparkles were mandatory on New Year’s Eve) red top that scooped rather low at the neck. It was paired with a belt that sat slightly off centre, but somehow brought the whole look together. Her hair was gently curled, courtesy of Penelope’s own curlers.

“You, uh,” Jordan fumbled with her words, her throat suddenly feeling very dry.

Emily raised a brow, concerned. “You okay? You must be freezing, come on inside.”

She guided Jordan into the jumping apartment. The younger woman sighed in relief at her tongue-tied state clearly being misinterpreted.

JJ peeked her head around the door, scoping out the packed living room across the hall. She’d been hiding out in Chris’ study for the past half hour or so. Thankfully it was a pretty nice space, but she couldn’t sit there forever: one, someone would notice, and two, she really needed to use the bathroom. She shouldn’t have downed that glass of champagne Kate had insisted she have. One final look at the living room confirmed it was safe for her to make the dash across the hall. She was just stepping out when someone collided into her.

“Whoa there!”

JJ stepped back, blinking rapidly. She looked up. “Pen?”

Penelope stood up tall, giving her a coy look. “Hello JJ, what might you be doing in here?”

JJ shifted on her feet, body tightening. “I’m hiding,” she said in a hushed voice.

Penelope rolled her eyes. “Well yes I knowthat. I was being sarcastic.”

JJ gave her a shove, grumbling. “Look I need to go to the bathroom, can you cover me?”

Penelope laughed. “JJ, honey, come on this is ridiculous. He lives in the city; you could run into him at any point. I’m surprised you haven’t already honestly. It’s better to get it out the way. Like a Band-Aid.”

JJ scoffed. “Yeah, uh, no thanks.”

Penelope shook her head, arms folded. “For someone who counsels teenagers on handling their emotions, you’re being very immature.”

A second later there was a voice calling down the corridor. “Penelope?” Luke.

Penelope’s eyes shot wide open and she pushed JJ back into the room, tumbling in after her. Once the door shut behind them, she put her ear up against it, listening for footsteps.

JJ smirked, folding her arms in a similar fashion to the way Penelope just had. “I’m being immature huh?”

Penelope waved her off. “Completely different situation.”

A minute passed before Penelope was happy that he was gone. She let out a breath and turned around. “He’s gone.”

“Great, can I go pee now?”

Penelope stepped aside to let JJ through. “I’ll just chill here for a bit, need a break from all the moves busting.”

JJ laughed as she opened the door – only to run into yet another obstacle.

“Kate – hi.”

She wracked her brain for a not crazy reason for why she’d been hiding out in her boyfriends – fiancée’sstudy, for the better part of an hour.

She was met with a half amused, half concerned look, Kate’s eyes darting across her face, trying to determine which was more appropriate.

“Hey, you guys know there’s a party going on out there right? Unless..” She looked past JJ shoulder to see Penelope spinning around on the very luxurious desk chair. “There’s a better party going on in here?”

JJ sighed and motioned for Kate to step through. She looked at her expectantly, waiting for an explanation. JJ bit her lip, hoping the words didn’t sound as pathetic as they did in her head.

“My ex is out there.”

Kate blanked for a moment before the realization dawned on her. “Oh crap. I totally forgot.”

Penelope let out a cackle, JJ a breathy laugh.

“Well, I wish I could say the same.” She ran a hand through her hair. “I know it’s stupid, but we didn’t end on the best of terms and I haven’t seen him since, I just - ”

“I get it,” Kate said. JJ smiled. “God I can’t believe I forgot. I shouldn’t have invited him.”

JJ shook her head. “Don’t be silly, he’s Chris’s friend.”

Kate tilted her head. “More like friend of a friend.”

“Anyway,” JJ continued, “I’m being silly. Pen is right, I just need to get this over with.”

Penelope gave a triumphant cheer, still spinning around. JJ really hoped she hadn’t had as much to drink as she thought. In any case, they should both get out of Chris’ very nice, clean study.

“Hey, I can make an anonymous tip from the other side of Manhattan if you want? They��re always on duty you know.”

JJ laughed but shook her head. “Thanks but it’s fine, I’ve got this.”

Kate smiled back, giving her a reassuring squeeze on her arm. Her eyes drifted down to JJ’s neck. “Hey, that’s a new necklace.”

JJ looked down to the butterfly necklace displayed proudly across her chest. She smiled. She’d gotten so many compliments on it and every time it made her tingle. Like she had, well, butterflies in her stomach.

“Yeah, it was a gift.”

Kate gave her a suspicious look, her smile growing. “Well whoever got it must like you a lot.”

JJ tried to calm the butterflies that were now very much stirring up a frenzy. “Well, I better get going. Need to pee and all.”

Kate laughed as she all but ran past her out the door.

“This is so much fun, I need to get one!” Penelope was spinning around in the chair at what was now an alarming speed.

Kate shook her head. “Okay, Garcia, I’m cutting you off. No more spinny chair for you.”

She was met with a blurry pout, still in motion.

* * *

“Whiskey on the rocks please Spencer,” Emily requested, leaning her elbows across the bar. “And for you?” She looked to Jordan who still didn’t seem quite right, but she couldn’t tell why.

She was sat stiffly in the barstool next to her, seeming overwhelmed by even the simple question. “Um, I’ll have a… cider, do you have that?”

Spencer grinned. “Oh they have everything here.”

He turned around to make them their drinks. Emily watched him work with an admiring smile. “This suits you, did you ever consider giving up teaching, opening a bar?”

Spencer smiled back as he easily located the two bottles. “Teaching is my first passion in life, following by magic tricks.”

“So this is…?”

He shrugged, reaching up for two clean glasses. “Where I’m most comfortable in this situation. I’m not much of a dancer, as I’m sure you noticed, but I like to be around my friends and I like to talk to people. Besides, someone needs to keep track of how much everyone’s drinking.”

Jordan laughed at that, and Emily smiled. She could understand Spencer’s point. He slid over their drinks when they were ready and Emily didn’t delay in testing it out.

“Oh that hits the spot,” she breathed out. “Seriously Spencer, you should consider a career change.”

Spencer smiled, throwing a dishtowel over his shoulder. “It’s all just chemistry.”

Emily stiffened then, sensing a man walking up behind them.

“Hey bartender, you got any beers going?” Well, that was what Emily thought he said; she couldn’t be sure given the ridiculously heavy southern drawl dripping off the words.

Spencer’s smile faltered for a moment, clearly caught off guard, but he recovered quickly. “Sure thing, Will.”

Will.Emily noted the name, for reasons she wasn’t quite sure of yet. The man – Will, decided he was joining them, and took the empty seat beside Emily. It was a free country she supposed. They were both invited here. Spencer seemed to know him, which, given his small circle, said something.

“Good evening ladies.” He tipped his head towards them in what some probably thought was a chivalrous manner. The only thing he was missing was a cowboy hat.

Emily gave him a tight smile back, instinctively shifting away from him and closer to Jordan. She didn’t see the beaming smile that left the younger woman with. Spencer made his drink with the same professionalism as he had the others, sliding it over to Will less than a minute later.

Will took a sip from it, savoring the taste. Emily thought he didn’t need any more. She hadn’t previously smelled alcohol on his breath exactly, but there was an unmistakable glaze to his eyes that made her uneasy.

He paused before his next words. “Hey Spencer, have you seen JJ?”

Oh, yeah. Emily felt very uneasy. “Excuse me,” she said, sliding off the stool and muttering something about needing the bathroom.

* * *

There was a knock at the door as JJ was washing her hands.

“Just a minute!” she called back.

She shook the excess water off her hands before reaching for the towel by the sink, silently psyching herself up for joining the rest of the party. But as she opened the door and was met with the sight of Emily giving her a surprised smile, all her nerves evaporated.

“Hey,” she greeted, smile widening, “I was starting to think you’d ditched us.”

JJ laughed, trying to hide her embarrassment. “Oh no, I’ve been around.”

Emily didn’t break her gaze, which made JJ feel nerves again, but this time of a very different kind.

“I must have just missed you then.”

JJ didn’t know how she was meant to take those words; did Emily mean they just hadn’t run into each other or had she actually missed her? Either way, the butterflies were back. The alcohol in her system also didn’t help matters.

“Oh sorry,” she said, breaking out of her daze, “I’ll let you,” She took a step aside, gesturing to the bathroom.

But Emily was still watching her. JJ could see a thought cross her face. She wasn’t sure what she was expecting but it wasn’t the words that came out of her mouth a second later.

“Ice-skating.”

JJ blinked. “What?”

Emily squeezed her eyes shut for a moment, like she was berating herself. But then she opened them again and her smile was back. That beautiful smile that made JJ feel like everything was going to be okay.

“My new years resolution. A new skill,” Emily clarified, “I’d like to learn how to ice-skate. Properly I mean, not just avoiding falling over.”

She was suddenly speaking with a confidence that quite frankly caught JJ off guard. But she liked it. She smiled back.

“You have a teacher in mind?” Her voice had taken on a teasing tone, matching Emily’s newfound conviction.

JJ swore she saw Emily smirk. “I think so.”

JJ’s stomach was doing summersaults and she could still taste the gin she’d just drank on her lips and Emily was smiling at her and her eyes fell to her deep red lips, and she thought, I’m going to do it – I’m really going to kiss Emily outside this bathroom with all these people to see.

But just as she was about to reach for her dream it was snatched away – literally. Penelope came out of nowhere and grabbed Emily’s arm, swiftly leading her to the dance floor.

“Penelope, what.” But there was no arguing with Penelope Garcia, especially one fuelled with alcohol.

“You owe me a dance my sweet!”

Emily just had time to turn her head back to roll her eyes at JJ, an exasperated sort of smile on her lips. JJ couldn’t help but laugh, feeling like she’d just come back down to earth. God, what had she been thinking? She shook her head and followed her friends into the crowd.

* * *

Emily collapsed into one of the fluffy beanbags, trying to catch her breath. What Penelope had called one dance had turned into five, and something called the Cha Cha Slide that was quite frankly sadistic. It would have been difficult enough to land all the moves in an empty room, never mind with a sea of bodies bumping into her. She’d just about managed the clapping bit. Everything had become a blur, and she’d lost JJ to the crowd. She raised her head, scanning the undulating cluster, but it was impossible.

The only people she could make out clearly were Derek and Penelope who were back in the middle, performing their own rendition of a song that Emily didn’t know, but instantly made her cheeks flush. Penelope had clearly lost some of her inhibitions with the more she drank, now making very deliberate eye contact with Luke, who after seeking her out all night, now stood looking at a loss for words while he was all but serenaded to.

There was another exasperated sigh beside her and Emily turned to see Jordan falling into the other beanbag. She’d also lost her inhibitions, no longer looking cagey.

“You guys know how to party,” she breathed, wiping sweaty hair out of her face.

Emily laughed. “Theyknow how to party,” she said with a nod to Penelope and Derek advancing on Luke.

He was laughing uneasily, not sure how to respond. Poor guy. Emily considered snapping some pictures to show Penelope in the morning. She wasn’t sure how much of this she’d remembered, and she really wanted to ensure no moment of this was lost on her.

The music then transitioned into a new song, and Emily couldn’t help but react.

“Oh, a song I know!” Tainted Love.

Jordan giggled and flipped her hair again. “You want to dance?”

Emily let out a breath. “I mean, I can’t really pass up on the one song I know can I?”

Still weary, she forced herself up and let Jordan lead her back in between the dancing bodies. She was too lost in the familiar music to see the sparkle in Jordan’s eyes. When the younger woman’s hand shyly drifted to her hip she didn’t even blink.

JJ stood on her tiptoes, searching for Emily in the crowd. They were playing one of her favourite songs, but there were too many people and it was so dark. She had no chance.

“You look like you could use some water.”

Damn. Well, here we go. JJ steeled herself with a smile and turned around.

“Will, hi.”

Lazy smile and stubble across his chin, he hadn’t changed at all. He was also wearing the same shirt she’d bought him for his birthday last year. She felt sick suddenly. Maybe this was a bad idea. Maybe hiding in Chris’s study really was the right course of action in this situation.

“You’re a hard woman to find,” he said; drawl still as strong as ever.

JJ used to joke about how she was the only one who could understand him. There was some alcohol on his breath, but who wasn’t that the case for tonight. He was probably one of the more sober people here. People had a tendency to judge Will by first impressions, but he was a good guy – which unfortunately for her, made it all the worse.

“Well it’s not like I’ve been hiding,” she laughed, taking the glass of water from him.

She was actually glad for the chance to hydrate. Penelope knew how to give them a workout alright. She sipped from the glass, also glad to have the short reprieve from talking. When she was getting close to finishing the whole thing in one go, she wracked her brain for something to say.

“What time is it?”

Will’s brow furrowed, but he rolled up the sleeve of the checkered shirt she’d bought 8 months ago, checking his watch. “11.35,” he told her.

“Oh, time really flies, huh?”

She felt so fake, but she couldn’t help it. How was she supposed to react faced with the man that she’d very seriously considered spending the rest of her life with before having a last second epiphany and breaking his heart. He hadn’t deserved it. But deep down she knew it wasn’t right. He wasn’t the one.

She looked up from her glass to see Will rubbing the back of his neck, the way he always did when he was about to say something he was nervous about. Oh god. She looked over his shoulder, searching for help from anyone.

“I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t glad to run into you.”

But his voice was becoming a ringing in her ear as she felt panic set in. Suddenly she was back in New Orleans, and he had that unmistakable smile on his face and she was surrounded by his whole family who had the same expectant look.

Expectant. Because that’s what it was, expected. Nobody had expected her leaping out of her chair and making a break for it. Nobody had expected her to break sweet Will’s heart before he was about to propose. To ruin everything that was expected. She hadn’t even told Penelope about that, she’d been too ashamed, feeling like she’d let down a whole family instead of just one man.

She thought she was about to pass out when none other that JT came to her rescue. Rock Your Body rung out over the ringing in her ears and she snapped back to herself.

“Oh I love this song!” she exclaimed, taking to the dance floor.

She didn’t hear him chuckle, “I know,” before he followed her.

* * *

Emily felt like she was flying. The bass of whatever music was currently playing had her body vibrating, and paired with the two more drinks Spencer had given her, she was definitely buzzing.

“You know what, you’re not that bad a dancer,” she was slurring her words now, Derek catching her before she lost her footing.

“Wow okay, now we definitely know you’ve had too much to drink.”

Penelope was leaning against the wall beside them, giggling into her own drink. “Now we know. Emily is an affectionate drunk!” She wiped a fake tear away from her cheek. “I couldn’t be happier.”

Emily had a dopey smile, glassy eyes falling onto Penelope. “You’re really pretty.”

“Okay, scratch that, nowI couldn’t be happier.”

Emily just descended into a stream of muffled giggles, clawing at Derek’s shirt to stay upright.

“Okay, I think it’s hydration time,” he said, straightening himself up with her.

Emily pouted.

“I’d hold that thought,” Penelope said.

Derek frowned, but a moment later Kate was flicking the lights on. Everyone screamed like a hoard of vampires. Emily herself was near hissing.

“Sorry guys but had to get your attention!”

Kate was stood in the centre of the room with Chris by her side, both holding their drinks up high.

“Countdown time!”

There was a chorus of drunken cheers. Everyone’s attention turned to the flat screen on the wall, eyes rapt on the glittering ball in Times Square as it descended.

“10, 9, 8!”

The whole room counted down as one, anticipation clinging to the air. But Emily wasn’t counting with them. The lights and the impending New Year had snapped her out of her drunken haze, and she whipped her head around the room, only one thought occupying her mind. She didn’t even hear Jordan trying to get her attention.

“7, 6, 5!”

She’d thought about her resolutions and what she wanted the next year to hold, what she wanted to surround herself with. And there was only one word at the top of that list. A name. JJ.

She wanted to completely encompass herself in everything that was JJ: the way her eyes would sparkle when something intrigued her, and the warm smile she gave people to reassure them, her full belly laugh when Penelope did something outrageous, the way she petted Sergio so gently he’d start purring in an instant, the way she made eggs, her exhale after a run. She wanted JJ this year and every year after.

“4, 3!”

With her body still buzzing and liquid courage running through her veins, she pushed past the people in front of her, eyes searching. All she could think about was the way JJ had looked at her outside the bathroom. Maybe it was the alcohol talking but she could have sworn she’d wanted to kiss her too.

“JJ?” She called out.

“2,1!”

The room erupted into applause as the ball dropped and a New Year was rung out, Auld Lang Syne starting to play. Out of the corner of her eye Emily saw her friends celebrating: Kate kissing Chris with a huge smile on her face, Matt and Kristy a similar sight beside them, and Hotch and Haley, Spencer and Tara exchanging kisses on the cheek, and Derek and Luke simultaneously leaning in to kiss Penelope on each cheek.

Emily exhaled a breath as she finally spotted long blonde hair. With the lights up she could see her so clearly, including the golden skin on her back where her glittery gold top dipped down. Golden. Everything about JJ was golden.

“JJ!” she called out with a beaming smile.

But with the lights up she saw everything clearly – including the man JJ was kissing.

i DO actually wanna know how youd make kotor 3 !!!!!

this ask has been sitting on my inbox for so long on PURPOSE! i wanted some time to re read the revan book + watch some swtor gameplays so i could give a concrete answer about why the book and swtor arent satisfactory and what i would do instead (im not like. a storytelling god so i this is just my PERSONAL idea). under the cut!

to begin with, what's wrong with revan the book and swtor, mai?

i am very fond of swtor i think it was such a nice idea to have an "open" world game set in star wars old republic time. but ultimately, it was not a good conclusion to revan and meetra's storyline! now, i don't really know what happened in the development of the third kotor game (if there ever was a plan for one) but it's clear they dropped the ball on that and decided to start a whole different project. i don't think we can blame disney for that one, because it was announced on 2008, launched in 2011, and disney had just bought star wars that year. so who knows.

the thing is that it's painfully evident that a bunch of the story that was gonna be in the third game, ended up in the book + misc parts of swtor. much of the book feels like a gameplay.

now, it was clear when the book was planned that they wanted to keep revan's story open so when the game came out, they could have a cool Revan storyline so he could make a cool villain appearence and draw in some of that kotor nostalgia. which ehhhhhh. uh. i don't really think did any favors for revan's character. he didn't have a satisfactory arc (I'm not saying "a happy ending" because good arcs aren't always happy) but at least some closure?

revan went through many big events in his life. we didnt need to keep his ass in stasis for his fun villain moments 300 years later. we already had what we wanted from him: jedi turned sith turned jedi again to defeat a terrible threat. that was it we could have let it there and it would have been cool! but then they decided to drag and drag his story just to leave him right where he was before. he just suffered a little more in the in-between.

you could say he finally redeemed himself of all of his crimes this way, but wasn't that the whole purpose of the first kotor game (and would have been the purpose of the 3rd?)

swtor does not centre revan in his own narrative. he's a side character for the player to experience. and look, i get it, we've had a different protag on each game, why not have another one in this one. well, because the protagonist has no personal relationship with revan. meetra was one of his closest friends, and fought with him. there is a connection that can be exploited. but the swtor protagonist is just some guy 300 years in the future who happens to stumble into revan and his life. not even his descendants get to fully interact with revan.

also, there is the fact that revan is not the centre of the game itself, only of a particular storyline. and it's weird, because swtor could have happened without revan's involvement.

ms. meetra surik, ms. bastila shan, women of the world I'm sorry

so it's no news that star wars is misogynistic as fuck right. cause it is.

so you decide to make your gender neutral protagonist a guy. then you decide to make your other gender neutral protagonist a woman. cool. now let's guess who gets underdeveloped, turned into a plot device without reason, and promptly fridged in the most unceremoniously fashion just to fullfil some manpain moments. which one do you think got that treatment.

i know the revan book is supposed to be about revan, but why make meetra go through a whole arc just to undermine her character and turn her into the faithful servant of the guy? she leaves everything behind for him, sacrifices herself for him, hell not even dead is she not serving the guy. and she was the second game’s protagonist! she beat up a bunch of powerful people and now she’s just meh, there? she had so many interesting ways to interact with revan (meeting kreia, revan’s first master, encountering another force consuming entity, etc.)

meetra went through a whole arc about dealing with the guilt of doing something horrible and having the consequences of it cut her from the force. we see her broken, then slowly come back to the world and reconnect herself with the force, then stop running and face the consequences of her role in the war. thats such a cool character with tons of potential! and nothing happened!

then we got bastila who is. a whole deal. so you make her go through a “promising jedi who defeated revan, to questioning reluctant companion, to fell into the dark side, to was redeemed thanks to her bond to revan, who helped her come back because he’d been through the same experience” arc, and then you decide to push her to the side to have a baby?? which is... its clear that the writer didnt know what to do with her (or with the other characters outside of canderous) so hey, lets get her to marry revan and have a baby.

my ideal kotor 3

to preface, im not a game developer, so some of my choices could be stunted by what a kotor rpg can do lol. of course, it would follow the same mechanics and have the same format as the first two, because consistency!

the fun way to start the game, would be from scourge’s perspective. we get to play as a sith! i’d even say you get to change scourge’s name and gender and looks (i know sith have different looks)

in scourge’s storyline, we get from his arrival to normound kaas, to his talks with nissyris, to his missions working for her. in some of these, we can make scourge lean into the dark or the light side! fun! plus we get some exposition with dialogue options. it all continues untill we get to nissirys story about the emperor. we get a fucked up cutscene of his childhood and then BOOM when its over, we see revan waking up from a nightmare and their pov starts.

ok, as for revan’s story, since we’d have to pick it up from where kotor ended, i’d have a little cutscene of revan back into the ebon hawk, with bastila, and them telling the crew to take them to courascant. then cut to a council meeting where revan and bastila get scolded in private, then rewarded by the republic. i would also like to see some revan mournink malak’s death mayhaps. since he was their childhood friend and all.

i would 100% scrape the marriage and two years passed part. as the book said, the council had no use for revan aside from the legend(tm), so why would they stay in courascant. revan was very alienated from the jedi at that point, despite being back in the “light side”

then like, to revan asking around for meetra and other jedi from the mandalorian wars, we can cash in that atris cameo, then revan starts to have these visions about the sith emperor, and maybe we could get a playable dream sequence about revan’s fight with mandalore the ultimate (I KNOW I WOULD LIKE TO SEE IT.) and we get the whole exposition to mandalore telling revan that the sith are behind it all. i believe we should get a bunch of these flashback/dream sequences of revan’s past doing shit. cut to revan burying the mask in a planet, then back to the present. we see a bunch of mission and juhani scenes trying to reach him, but he keeps pushing them away. revan and bastila meet canderous, travel to the ice planet, meet clan ordo (god i love clan ordo) you get the whole quest, you decide weather to spare veela or not, maybe you get a cheeky mandalorian companion (force sensitive mando oh?) and leave canderous behind.

we can visit like, a couple more planets searching for clues maybe, etc. then when reaching nathema, you are forced to go alone as revan, get to explore nathema a bit (raiding ancient location yay) nathema as a location can be so fun because you can have it weaken you hp bar and also you cant use the force (which, in game is pretty cool)

then we get to scourge and nyssiris arriving to the planet, they fight but since theres two of them and revan doesn’t have the force, they beat the shit out of them, and while running away, they get in a fight with bastila and the companions in the ebon hawk (ebon hawk shooting game my hated). bastila manages to get a glimpse of revan’s thoughts before they take them away. but the ebon is so ruined it takes bastila, t3 and the mandalorian a while to fix it, and they get stuck into the unknown regions for a while. the ebon hawk is left in an outer rim planet with t3 fixing it, bastila and the mandalorian run back to the jedi council, only to get caught in the middle of the jedi civil war. we can have bastila choosing to hide in courascant and trying to make sense of what she saw, reading texts about the sith empire, trying to plot a course to where they took revan (more atris! but shes pissed at her now)

cutscene to meetra’s pov, leaving malachor v behind, getting calls from everyone at the hawk (atton my beloved) but just as she’s leaving she gets a force message from revan, calling for her to find him and sending visions of normound kaas. then, through her force bond with visas, she tells her not to go because they’re gay and in love and whatnot.

then boom, she gets intercepted by bastila’s ship, with the mandalore and the other mandalorian (yes i do love having a bunch of mandos on board) and they go on their way to find revan.

now i want there to be an underlying message of “we can’t take our friends with us because we have to do this ALONE we’re powerful JEDI we don’t need our FRIENDS.” meetra gets asked if she wants to bring any friends and she’s like “no. we have to do this alone.” along the game you get constantly contacted by other game characters, you get the chance to talk to them or ignore them.

so, we get back to nathema, and meetra has a whole “holy shit this is just like darth nihilus but ten times worse. but i beat darth nihilus. i can do this!” then she finds peace in this place without the force, we get a whole speech about how the odds arent against them, they find a way to normound kaas, and get going.

in normound kaas i thought about them getting a whole mission about how to infiltrate the citadel, only to get helped by scourge. he joins the party, we get a little flashback of all the years he spent trying to make revan remember and they storm the citadel. we get to fight the dark council members, fun! then we get to free revan and the game switches povs. bastila hands the mask to revan and he has a cool “yes im revan im pretty cool” then a nice heartfelt yet rushed reunion with everyone.

then have a small CONVERSATION WITH MEETRA where she talks about the sith triumvirate she defeated and revan is impressed with her and is like “we are the last hope of the jedi, we’ve learned to walk between light and dark, we’ve done horrors but we can still make things right, our experience has made us more powerful etc.

then they fight the imperial guard, ALL OF THEM, meetra revan and scourge make it into the throne room, they all fight the emperor. meetra shows the emperor that she has seen the void, she has cut herself from the force, and she’s not afraid of him, revan supports her, talks about redemption and hope and NOW.

NOW. how the alternate endings could go:

if you decide to take scourge through the light side, he manages to form a forcebond with meetra and revan since they’ve both teached something about the duality of the force, they get 100% stronger, but its still not enough. UNTIL. a bunch of ships (jedi and mandalorian, even non republic ships) arrive to dormound kaas, the gangs from each game storm the room and together they make the emperor and his guard a bunch of punching bags. they beat him! (unknow to them, this was a backup body because the emperor can do weird shit like that, and has only debilitated his plan, but he’ll come back dont worry). then they fly back to the republic, to tell the chancellor about the sith threat, and preparations for the war begin. meetra and revan get to live happily ever after for a while, then they die away from the jedi or the sith (waaah im thinking about them helping canderous rebuild the mandalorians, and them doing it since they killed so many mandos in the war)

BECAUSE IN THE END KOTOR IS ABOUT LEARNING TO PROCESS TRAUMA AND RECOGNIZE YOUR MISTAKES AND LIVE WITH THE GUILT WHILST TRYING TO FIX THE MISTAKES YOU MADE ALONG THE WAY. AND ALSO TO HEAL FROM TRAUMA YOU NEED A SUPPORT SYSTEM SO EVEN THOUGH IT MAKES SENSE TO YOU YOU SHOULDNT PUSH PEOPLE WHO LOVE YOU AWAY. AND THINGS AREN’T BLACK AND WHITE ITS COMPLICATED SO YOU DONT END UP BACK ON SQUARE ONE YOURE A CHANGED PERSON.

if you decide to dark side scourge further, he betrays revan and meetra, they all die, and the emperor unleashes his angry lightning or whatever on everyone + a bunch of visions of all the enemies of past mocking them, and their loved ones suffering. and since you’ve had that “im not calling my friends bullshit” no one comes, you die there, and the emperor is only stalled for a few years. swtor ensues. scourge becomes the emperor’s hand.

now you could of course bring revan and meetra up in swtor, but maybe only as force ghost guides, or have some of the other characters of the game have relevance (visas tries to heal the miraluka planet 2021)

Yeah. Sk8 became one of those things I obsess over because of the characters. They’re very charming. And very lovable. (Yes. Including Adam)

And yeah! I would like more please!

But honestly, I am terrified of even interacting with the fandom since VLD, because that fandom gave me anxiety and a terrible time! To the point that I don’t want to get involved in Shipping anymore! Well, I mean... Shipping in public anymore since doing that at all feels like a death wish. So yeah. I’ll be shipping privately with this show. >_> but everything else, I’ll be open about it.

The very first thing I’ll be open about?

I stan Adam. He deserves better, you know? And I’m happy he actually got a happy ending in the end where he jumped off a helicopter to greet Langa on his birthday and that just shows that he’s actually decided to reconnect with his old friends and actually becomes part of the friend circle! That’s just so heartwarming I am so happy that he actually found a way out of his terrible way of dealing with his pent up anger and personal problems and potential trauma and actually tries to get better by learning something from his and Langa’s race and making up with Tadashi (which I find kind of strange, I have to admit) and yeah! That’s just really nice! Adam really did need help and he received it. Which is great! ^_^

And the next thing I’m open about.

Langa is very Adorable and is also a fellow Canadian who appreciates his poutine and I completely respect that. Yay poutine!

And yeah! How he’s written is very interesting along with Reki is pretty cool! I enjoyed the dynamic they have in the story where in the beginning we were introduced to Reki, the protagonist of the story and we expect him to go through many hardships, which he does, don’t get me wrong. But I didn’t think the story just pretty much got us to be in the shoes of the sidekick of the protagonist because Langa is the one being challenged left and right by people while he’s still learning skateboarding at a short amount of time! While Reki is in the sidelines watching all of the happening to his best friend. Which is, I guess, what we call Langa the deuteragonist of the story? Which is why we got with this anime. And yeah! Another thing about the writing, how they deal with the villain is just great. It’s very refreshing. This kind of villain redemption arch I feel is very much needed to me. Sometimes I feel like I keep seeing the same results with the villains. They either get defeated by the hero or go through a redemption arch that almost follows Zuko’s redemption arch, which is not a bad thing or anything, I just feel like, that sometimes there are villains are just straight up angry and are not really able to figure out their anger and need the help they get. But, I guess this kind of villain only works in animes aimed towards kids so it’s really not that special, but since this show appeals to an older audience I guess I felt like it was refreshing, because I’m so used to seeing adult characters go through heavier things than skateboarding. And seeing Adam actually getting the help he needs in his loneliness and anger was just cathartic.

Okay I’m done I just needed to fangirl for a moment about this anime. I Love Adam. He really deserves love. Like. Actual love. Not love lashes. Like! I’ll marry him out of the family if that would make him happy!

I’m really mad cos I tried writing a long-ass response to this twice already!!! But my browser crashed the first time and then windows hit me with a surprise update the second lol. I had torewrite it so I’m sorry for the late reply :(

Kinda long so I put it under a cut:

Here’s an old summary for the superhero au fic (Title is almost definitely gonna change):

tbh I’m not greatat writing romance and I don’t find it particularly fun to write?? So more like kallurance-leaning slightly-shippy gen but w/ever not important OKAY SO first the backstory and oh boy it’s very convoluted and doesn’t make much sense right now so strap in:

I was thinking the story would be set in acyperpunk-style AU, wherein Voltron is a team of underground heroes trying totake down the Galra- a sinister corporation who have essentially taken oppressive controlof the city through widespread use of their technology.

Back when the GalraCorporation were just coming into power, team Voltron was first employed byAltea Industries- Galra’s rival company- as a heroic task-force charged withprotecting the citizens of the city. Before the story begins an “accident”happens at Altea Industries (obviously a deliberate attack organised byGalra) that left the founder of the company dead and his daughter Allura, heirto Altea industries and member of the Voltron force, in a coma she’s yet towake up from. This is two years before the story begins.

For a short time afterthe incident, the four remaining members of Voltron (Keith, Lance, Pidge and Hunk) tried to keep the teamtogether and continue their work as vigilante heroes. They officially split upafter Keith leaves the group to look for his best-friend-slash-psuedo-brother Shiro, who went missing and isbelieved to have been taken by the Galra. Keith’s decision to leave caused anargument between him and Lance, which led to a rift in the team and the othermembers drifting away for their own reasons.

Keith was captured by theGalra in his attempts to find Shiro, and has spent a year imprisoned and subjectedto the torture of having his powers being experimented on. It’s revealed at somepoint that Keith let himself be captured deliberately so he could look forShiro on the inside- while he was there he discovered that Shiro has beenbrainwashed by the Galra and is working as one of their law enforcers. He doesn’t recognise Keith at all, and Keith realises that without Shiro’s help he’s stuck as the Galra’s prisoner.

After the other three split, Lance is left as the soleactive member of Voltron, and has spent the two years prior to the start of thestory working to undermine the Galra and protect the city as much as he’s able,turning himself into a wanted fugitive in the process and living isolated inhiding. He’s the only one still in contact with Coran, who is protecting Allura while she’s in a coma, and they both spend the years watching over her and never losing hope that she’ll wake up.

I had some complicated plot stuff planned where Altea, before it was attacked, was in the middle of producing a piece of super-tech that would allow them to take down the Galra and restore freedom to the city. The tech shared the name “Voltron” with their team of heroes, and worked as a power-augmentation device that would allow the team to mentally connect with one another and boost their powers. The attack on Altea industries doubled as an attempt by the Galra to steal it, but somehow when she was caught in the firefight Allura used her astral projection ability to merge her consciousness with the Voltron device. The real reason she won’t wake up in present-day is that she’s still mentally connected to Voltron, which is locked away deep in a Galra facility, miles away.

So that’s where everyone’s at! The story revolves around Lance trying to resurrect team Voltron- finding and reconnecting with his old teammates and convincing them to take another shot at the Galra- while also dealing with everyone’s separate trauma and the fact that poor Shiro is still mind-controlled and basically acting as the main villain for the entire first act.

The story begins withPidge contacting Lance for the first time since Voltron’s disbandment, claimingthat she’s been sent information from an anonymous source containing Keith’swhereabouts, and instructions on how to break him out.

Pidge and Hunk reluctantly agree to team up once again for the sake of rescuing Keith, and they break into the Galra research facility he’s being held in.

During his time as a prisoner Keith learnt that Voltron is being kept in the same facility as him and the Galra are running tests on in. Mid break-out he convinces the others to find and retrieve it.

They rescue Keith, and when they reconvene at Coran’s hideout and bring the device within her range, Allura manages to separate her consciousness from it and finally wakes up. Yay! Everyone is confused and horrified by this revelation!! Allura, you’ve been a brain-ghost infused with a piece of stolen technology this whole time?? And the Galra have been messing with Voltron without realising you were hitching a ride?? That’s gotta have consequences, right??

AND NOW THE SUPERPOWERS:because that’s the most fun part of superhero aus obviously

I wanted to try and be abit more creative with the powers and stay away fromelemental/bending type ones lol. The only one I’m pretty set on is Allura, the others’ powers are things I’m still working out and would love some help with if anyone has any cool ideas! I’m totally okay with everyone having more than one superpower. Here’s what I’ve got so far:

Allura:

One of the world’s most powerfultelepaths/psychics. Can communicate telepathically, “astral project” herconsciousness to other locations within a certain perimeter, and read minds.

Perhaps has some of her VLD-canon Altean powers eg. can communicate withanimals.

She can also manipulate other people’s thoughts and perceptions to createillusions. Can’t physically shapeshift but can create the illusion that she looks different.

As well as abilitiesof the mind, she has a strong connection with spirit/essence; eg. can senseother’s whereabouts or tell when they’re being influenced by an externalsource. Cannot heal physical injuries but has some sway over ailments of thespirit and mind.

Power augmentation through a conduit: Being connected to Voltron for so long merged her essence with it, so now she can wield it as a conduit to boost people’s power, or like,,, direct and control Voltron’s innate power-boosting abilities at will via her telepathy (tbh I’m bullshitting a bit here while I throw ideas around lol)

Keith:

If anyone in this AU is gonna have element-based powers it’sgonna be Keith- either he has fire affinity (can create and control fire +heat) or I could ramp up the angst and have him go full-on Jean Grey Phoenixmode ehehehe.

The other main idea I had was power negation- upon physical contact he can cancel other people’spowers out. This would be interesting if it’s something he doesn’t havefull control over, and I reckon it’s something the Galra would take a lot ofinterest in using to their own advantage- would also be an interesting oppositeto Allura’s power augmentation ability.

The other things I had listed aspossibilities for Keith are all endurance/enhancement-based powers eg. Enhancedspeed, dexterity and agility, night vision, regenerative/accelerated healingetc. All of these could be innate or they could be powers given to him by theGalra in an attempt to turn him into a weapon like they did Shiro.

Lance:

Also not settledon anything for Lance but I did want him in part to have more compulsion andcharisma-based powers that fit his more sociable personality. He hascharmspeaking, a hypnotic ability that lets him influence the thoughts and actionsof the person he’s talking to. Even when he’s not using the ability he has away with persuasion.

I also like the idea of him having omniligualism (thepower to speak all languages) or a similar variant that allows him to be easilyunderstood by and communicate with anyone despite language barriers.

I had an earlier ideathat everyone’s powers, where applicable, would be based on their original lion’spowers in vld canon? I’ve mostly scrapped that at this point but I do stilllike the idea of Lance having a sort of echolocation type of thing- maybe morelike he can feel the vibrations of structures around him and instantly puttogether a mental-map of the area. If he knocks against the outside wall of abuilding then he can feel out the layout of the interior, along those lines.Think Toph Beifong.

I also wanna give him low-level telekinesis because I think he’d had fun with that lol.

Shiro:

I actually likethe idea of Shiro not having any powers originally; the Galra imbued him withsome abilities through his prosthetic arm that he wasn’t born with. The worst one isthe power to manipulate and deconstruct organic matter; the Galra intended forhim to use it to destroy and kill, but I had a thought I liked a lot where Shiro takesownership of it after they save him from the brainwashing, and he eventuallylearns to use it to heal and becomes the team’s go-to doctor.

I might scrap the idea ofhim not originally having any powers, depends if I can come up with anything.Maybe I can go back to my they-have-their-og-lion’s-powers idea and give himteleportation, and he eventually learns how to do it mentally and can astralproject.

Okay actually NightCrawler is my favourite superhero and I’m gonna fuckin let Shiro nightcrawl,fight me.

Pidge:

Technopathy,obviously!!! She can do pretty much anything with technology, and I wasthinking that similar to VLD canon where Pidge adds her own modifications to herlion to give it new powers, in this AU she makes a lot of devices of her ownthrough her technopathy that give her access to a lot of manufactured superpowers eg. Invisibility/cloaking,electricity manipulation, some other cool stuff idk yet.

She also has eideticmemory and low-level telekinesis which she mostly just uses to help herretrieve objects in her lab when she’s hyperfocused and doesn’t wanna get up.

Hunk:

Hunk is an empath, which makes him goodat intelligence gathering because he can detect when people are lying throughtheir emotions.

Also had animation/”life spark” down as a possibility, which isthe ability to bring inanimate objects temporarily to life; his creationsfollow his directions but their sentience levels are very low and they have noemotional intelligence. E.g he could hypothetically create an army out ofshopping mall dummies to fight for him, which probably wouldn’t do much physical damagebut would work as a good distraction while he hightails it outta there. Alsowould be a very good intimidation tactic cos that would be a terrifying sightahaha

Idk I don’t have a lot ofother good ideas for Hunk someone help me

Coran:

Enhanced memory, though not photographic or near-infalliable like Pidge’s is, and he’s kinda useless with it (mostly just usesit to subject people to long-winded anecdotes about his crazy life)

Omnilingualism. Thinks this makes him a gooddiplomat but historically it’s just gotten him into trouble with more people.

He’s spent the entire time since Voltron’sdisbandment guarding Allura while she’s asleep, protecting her from assassinationattempts, so it’d be cool if he had some other kind of power that allowed himto do this easily? Not anything flashy, an ability that a lot of people wouldunderestimate or dismiss as harmless, but something that’s let him keep themboth safe while she’s so vulnerable.

AND THAT’S ALL I’VE GOT FOR NOW I hope it sounds interesting??? It’s kinda a complicated mess atm but I have fun thinking about this AU and I’d like to do something with it soon.

It’d be a mess of cheesy sci-fi drama and angst and found family so like,,, all good things. Thank you for asking about it I love to rant about my projects lmao

My tribe has a varying amount of timezones which makes it harder to connect with them socially as I cannot PM them as much as I would like to. Additionally, I am finding it difficult to message them because I have to work from 8 to 5 everyday of the week. This sucks because I know I can at least make people like me in the per-merge enough to keep me. However, I can no longer reliably use this strategy. I just have to hope others are way more inactive than me and that my tribe somehow wins immunity. On that note, I am really liking that Mikki and Benj took a leadership role in the tribe. So, they are definitely people I want to keep on this tribe. It would have to be Blake or Khalid that gets the target from me. We'll see how talking to them goes before results.

I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!!!! Ok so starting with my tribe:

Mikki - ABSOLUTELY THE FAV!!! We got along right away on day 1 and are def the closest in timezones which is so great to have someone like that. Sooo fun and easy to talk to really wanna be #1 allies. I know shes amazing at orgs and won and probs is getting along well with everyone but who cares i wanna play w her!!!! The main thing is too have fun and i just know it will be with Mikki

Captain - Also amazing!!! Super active in helping with the challenge and great personally love that hes gonna do english teaching which is smth i was looking into and also in a closer time zone to me and had fun discussing stuff w him so far!!

Blake - We played Kili together!! Shoutout Autumn for getting 4 Kilis back omg. I was on a tribe with Blake and Autumn together for like 2 rounds and we did vote together once so have some positive history at least hes a bit more quiet compared to the others but hes cool and i think we could do good!

Raffy - Iconic parts in the video challenge and also fun so far!! Havent talked as much as the above 3 but still feeling good about him!

Khalid - Seems nice and friendly but we havent messaged yet and no clue if he will do his lines in the music video :O we'll see But overall love my tribe and the overall cast. LILY THE KILI WINNER QUEEN???????? Cant believe shes back would be so awesome to play w her again since last time we were mainly on opposite sides. JINX MY ONE MONTE FRIEND??? YES!! SO excited i hope we get to tribe swap together since in Monte we werent that close and i voted them off i know such a disgrace but since then we have become more friends so would love to play together!! Also played w Chips in Kili and were sort of friends! SO THE GAME JUST STARTED so there's not really that much to spill right now but I do really enjoy my tribe. I have my bestie captain who I will protect as much as I possibly can. and I've spent all day yesterday and today talking to benj who I LOVE so so so much. I feel so good with him. Khalid hasn't been on much but I really enjoy his energy when he is. he's so cool and lovely. Blake is nice!!!!! but I can't help but feel my instincts being like WATCH HIM. like something inside me is saying beware of this white man.LIKE IDK WHAT IT IS but I just get instincts in games with people sometimes where I just feel like unsettled??? and that's how I feel right now. we're all in different timezones so socialising is the opposite of overwhelming. 1. How do you feel about your starting team? Anyone you are happy/upset to see? OOOOH i feel like my team is very CUTE! like i didn't think autumn was gonna put me and mikki in the same tribe lmao .. i thought it was gonna be divided from ur race and u know mikki is white and i'm not. ANYWAYS, im happy to see mikki in my team of course. thats my ride or die and i know i'm gonna have someone i can 100% trust no matter what for sure. but blake knows for sure that mikki and i are very close so thats gonna be interesting. which leads to the next part, i'm kinda eh with blake in my tribe thats only because our previous experience in CoW so i just hope that its gonna be better here this time *prays*.. for others, i don't know them before so i'm excited to get to know them!!!

2. Who are you most excited to play with on the cast? Most afraid of? oh of course mikki for sure and another person is geekoffilm cause u know we're like besties besties and i love both of them so much. most afraid of... probably monty tbh. they tried to gun for me/mikki(/cora) in jarod's mini so i think they know that mikki and i are gonna be tight so i'm just gonna have to keep an eyes on them cause they are a great player.

3. What are your first impressions of everyone based on this first challenge? OH GOD. i love benj!! benj is very organized so we started off pretty well. i threw out lush life randomly and then we decided to go with lush life, how cute!!! but yea, benj and mikki have done lots of works and i love THEM. RAFFY ALSO DID AMAZING in his parts!!! like he has PROPS and his camp is sooooo summery and AHH he's so great. blake.. ahem if blake didn't look at his lyrics at the first part, it would've been a bit better. and idk about khalid. i'm very worried cause khalid hasn't sent any of his parts yet. and like he seems inactive??? so idk but i don't wanna lose the points for full team participation :oooooh: I DIDNT JUST SHOW ANYONE I CANT DANCE TO LOSE AND I DIDNT HAVE TO DANCE AND MAKE MY LEGS ACHE JUST TO LOSE!!! What is your strategy going into the first portion of the game? trying to lay low and build some connections with ppl from my tribe. benj and raffy for sure. i rlly like their vibes so i need to stick with them. and just try not to lose challenges cause its gonna be suck voting one of them out. also, if we somehow win, i want to send someone who i can trust moving forward to exiled island.. but we'll see. its gonna be a lot of thinking and convincing people.

5. How do you want other people in the game to view you in the early stages of the game? as someone who they can trust and talk to and someone who always puts effort into challenges cause thats what most important in the first stage of the game.. i'll come back here after results x

Now that that is out of the way, let me list my tribemates... Giraffez Joey Lily C Lily O Monty. Something is incredibly amusing about how there is a tribe with someone named Chips and someone named Giraffez. What is not amusing is that I get a "I don't like/want to speak to/etc." vibe from Giraffez? I could just be a delicate and annoying flower but our conversations have been short and dry. Joey has some great high energy and excitement and I love that he loves being part of this game. He is also pretty fun to talk to. Hoping that we can keep an open dialogue and that perhaps I can rope him into a future alliance of sorts. Lily C is a sweetheart truly and I adore her personality so much. She is such a go-getter and goes to bat for those with who she feels can be loyal. I'm hoping that we can build loyalty and trust together. Lily O has been busy with work at a bowling alley. That's actually really cool because when I was a child that was my dream job. Not even joking... my parents were in leagues when I was growing up and my brother and I entered ones designed for children. It was a big thing in my family and I thought that I would love to be in that "atmosphere" all the time. Anyway, we haven't spoken until after the results were announced so honestly if I had to guess I was their intended target if we had had tribal council and they were mine?? (perhaps...) It has been really nice getting to connect with Monty and really cool finding out that they are beginning job searching after college and thinking of pursuing education as a career. I have a soft spot in my heart for all educators.

Okay so I'm just going to say this now. Autumn needs to simplify the twists to more like Blue's Clues with an OBVIOUS large blue paw prints where I'm supposed to look. I'm totally pumped for this game! Like when I saw my tribe and Jinx is on it I screamed! I want us to have the same success of being together at ftc!! Jude honestly is great to me and I'm enjoying getting to know her a lot, Ricky I remember from HvV4 but we both say no to that and start anew! Yesterday was so stressful to me like editing I have no problem with but I thought my biggest worry was that I needed Bryan to submit stuff late-ish. But turns out an hour before due time thd program wanted to stop working 🙃🥲 and I felt so close to wanting to forfeit- which is something I never do but I just felt hopeless and guilty and even imagined getting voted out. So I had to call Jinx who assured me something could be salvaged and they'd make sure I would stay (rip Bryan) but after the extension by cool hosts I found encouragement and did my magic stuff. SOMEHOW we won and to be honest I dont think anything will top that feeling of relief in the org (give me 3 days) but man what a ride yesterday was for me!

I got a Super Idol! Well, at least I now know that I can fuck around in this game a little bit more since I have this extra insurance in my back pocket which guarantees I stay around in the long run. I want to start getting into alliances because being a solo person with not much time on their hands is definitely a scary position to be in. Preferably, I want an alliance with Nikki and Benj (though I suspect that they already have an alliance with at least one other person on the tribe). It does suck that I am not at tribal considering that it will help build my bonds even stronger. I guess I just have to suffer for the time being

Omg that immunity was so hard, I literally did not know what I was doing and I think out of everyone I was a bit lackluster. I will say on the tribe I have not really talked to all of them but I will say I trust Jinx the most and we have talked a lot and I think that moving forward we will have each others back. Episode 14

- My theory about Daigo and Maki being the OG Chosen was so right. But that entire scene was a giant clusterfuck. I couldn’t tell you what the fuck was going on other than the fact that it appeared they got their asses handed to them by the Dark Masters and then Maki’s partner disappeared (died?)

- The train tracks and the cart. The nostalgia. The reunion is so cute. Yamato acting as if he wasn’t excited to see Tsunomon again made me laugh. Poor Sora tried so hard to reconnect with Yokomon. Now my heart hurts.

- Daddy Jou is back and all about finding something to eat and somewhere to sleep.

- Mimi appears and fakes tears (i think) and is super optimistic about how they’ll return home. Such character development, I’m shook.

- Taichi chases after Meicoomon when she appears. WHAT A GOOD BOY.

- Nostalgia kicks in again ‘cause it’s lunch time. Mimi is real slick with that comment about Sora’s future husband. Koushiro my dear child is so adorable with his rant about oolong tea. Motimon cutting him off to remind him to eat before Tokomon does is so typical. I laughed.

- Poor Sora looks so lonely without Yokomon

- Then we have Taichi unsure of what to do about the Meicoomon thing and he has a flashback to her demon mode (meicrackmon is such an ugly name I don't want to use it). Yamato reminds him that Meiko is one of them and walks off like geesh he really doesn’t cut that man any slack lmao.

- Taichi and Agumon have a moment and I want to die because it’s so damn cute.

- Sora goes to bat with the lil’ brat Yokomon again and loses and my heart hurts again because Sora doesn’t deserve this.

- Back to the debate about what to do next, everyone is upset that the reboot may have been for nothing since Meicoomon wasn’t affected. Taichi finally recovers his role as leader and is resolved to reunite his friends. Everyone is on board as well. Yay ~~

- The Digimon are now adults. I’m a little disappointed since they were following nostalgia to a T and the little rainbow light striking them would’ve really just nailed it.

- Biyomon is still being a brat even in adult form

- Flashback of mini Mei’s, how cute. But i still understand nothing about their partnership other than the fact that Meiko keeps Meicoomon’s demon side under wraps

- Taichi returns from looking for distortions and I’m just wondering how the hell he missed the giant purple coming from Meicoomon.

- Mimi has her cell phone and this is new and kind of weird to see

- Takeru calls Meiko hopeless and Hikari teases him. Yay Takari??

- Lmao Takeru is still saying he loves Yamato the most and Yamato is blushing after Taichi calls him out

- Sora is so upset and it continues to chip away at my heart

- That Taiorato scene…yikes. That was a golden opportunity to distinguish boyfriend from best friend and Toei completely fucked it up. I'm irritated. Taichi is her best friend and an idiot so him being oblivious is normal. I’m not even a shippy person but Yamato and Sora are supposedly end game so I feel like that scene should have gone down differently. Like the whole clenching his fist and staying quiet and looking to Taichi for help. WHAT WAS THAT. And then asking if they should ask Takeru with her right there (I get it was with good intentions but...) ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME. THAT’S YOUR FUTURE WOMAN. COMFORT HER. That was some horribly shitty writing.

- Then Meicoomon ruins that oh-so-sweet moment just as Mugendramon appears in a flash of light. Like literally what. the fuck. I dead ass expected Meiko to appear instead because it looked like the gate had opened. Nope, just a Dark Master here to fuck things up again

- We’re back to the real world and Daigo is finally figuring shit out. Unsurprisingly, Maki is shady and is working with Yggdrasil and used Meicoomon to cause the reboot so she could see her dead partner again. I get it, but how selfish can you be? There’s a super cute flashback to teenage Daigo/Maki and Daigo is SMOOTH ASF with that partner line as he comforts Maki. Like shit, please teach Taichi and Yamato your ways.

- Back in the Digi World the gang is reunited and they call for their partners to Digivolve and the Digimon are like ????

- They’re blasted by Mugendramon and i’m over here like how tf did they survive. Then it’s revealed a distortion appeared and saved them all, but they’re all separated without their right partner

- Biyomon is back to being a brat and makes Sora cry - there goes another part of my heart. Then they find Meiko and i’m just like wtf is she Houdini now??

- The others are in other parts of the world and the nostalgia is real. I swear Toei’s goal was ‘how much nostalgia can we fit in one movie’

- Meiko = mountain/country girl = good at making fires

- Biyomon is only being nice to Meiko. What. A. Brat.

- Mimi and Tentomon make a good name-calling team

- Yamato and Koushiro are the dream team lmao. Koushiro showing the digimon pictures of their adventures in the real world warmed my heart. Agumon questioning Yamato about Taichi was priceless. ALSO LETS JUST STAND HERE UNTIL THE TRAIN IS INCHES AWAY FROM US AND THEN JUMP. Like how could let that happen Koushiro, you’re smarter than this.

- Taichi is being gloomy because he doesn’t know what they are to their partners anymore and Hikari is like ‘nah just accept them for how they are now because for Plotmon, it’s better this way.’ So wise beyond your years, Hikari.

- More cut scenes. Takeru is in primary village getting patched up by our good pal Elecmon. Again, nostalgia.

- Hackmon is filling in Daigo. He’s on the good side aka Homeostatis. We learn that Gennai has dabbled with the darkness and he refers to Meicoomon as libra (I think) because ANOTHER MYSTERY IS JUST WHAT WE NEED AT THIS POINT

- We’re back to Sora and Meiko. Sora is depressed once again and doesn’t know what to do to fix things. Meiko throws her words back at her and i’m screaming because she’s SUCH A GOOD GIRL.

- Meicoomon appears and is pissed and starts attacking like WUT. Meiko is cool asf and is like ‘yes, you’re bad but i’m also bad for abandoning you i’ll never do that again.’

- Dark Gennai appears in Ken form and is all like hi let’s play. He’s reveals he is on the side of Yggdrasil. Meicoomon says bye and goes after Mugendramon but is tossed aside like she’s nothing and falls into DGs hands. Sora shows up all queen-like and throws rocks. DG tackles her and feels her up for her DigiVice (also, what the FUCK was the unnecessary licking, i’m disgusted Toei). Dumb and Dumber (i apologize, I’m still very salty about the previous episode) show up to save Sora just in time. Everyone is reunited due to the distortions and Gennai reveals even more information - Yggdrasil doesn’t want the two species interacting and wants to destroy the Human world. Unsurprisingly, the Chosen have played into Yggrasil’s plan accordingly, and honestly, i’m so over it. They couldn’t have come up with anything better??

- They’re about to be blasted away and Plotmon becomes a total badass and allows them to escape to a boat of all places

- DG finds them easily and Dumb and Dumber along with Hikari come up with the genius plan to let themselves be decoys while the others escape. DG is like HA YOU THOUGHT and sends MetalSeadramon to play. Nice going, guys.

- Back on the boat, Sora and Meiko are still there. Biyomon finally comes to her senses and realizes what a beautiful soul Sora is and i’m soaring

- The Chosen are on the run and DG is still babbling nonsense. JYOU FUCKING TACKLES HIM AND I’M CACKLING. HOLY SHIT THAT JUST MADE THIS MOVIE FOR ME. The digimon are ruthless asf and attack him one after the other - it’s fantastic.

- We see Maki temporarily reunite with Tapirmon and she’s pissed he doesn’t remember her. Like girl what did you think would happen??

- Back in the water Dumb and Dumber are fighting with MetalSeadramon and then they disappear under water after protecting Agumon and Gabumon. They have the MOST GAY MOMENT OFF ALL TIME as they swim towards the surface. Then they’re out of oxygen but somehow are having a conversation with their partners. Agumon and Gabumon save them AND THEY CHEAT US THE EVOLUTION SCENE AGAIN. Plotmon evolves to save Hikari and it’s beautiful.

- MSD is defeated and scene cuts to Sora returning to the others. DG escapes and disappears. Mugendramon goes after Biyomon, Sora jumps on to get her back. While Sora gets pummeled into the wall the two bond and it’s beautiful and Biyomon evolves. PHOENIXMON IS SO MAJESTIC.

- Cut scene to Meiko being cornered by DG and him being a creepy bastard again.

- Back to the action, the two attack, Sora gets knocked off AND JYOU COMES TO THE RESCUE AGAIN. Then all of a sudden, Patamon wants to fight so he evolves and we finally see Seraphimon. Next is Tentomon and now it’s overkill and i’m not happy with the way this played out either. Like them wanting to fight is seriously what triggered their evolution? What. The. Hell.

- Meiko is being strangled by DG to trigger Meicoomon’s evolution. He says some pretty harsh stuff to her. Like geez, yeah she’s not exactly the best partner but to say she should’ve never been born? Rude asf.

- Mugendramon is defeated and everyone is ecstatic because they still have a bond. Jyou is smug even though Gomamon didn’t evolve lmao what a cutie. Sora forgives Dumb and Dumber after they apologize (+10 points) but I’m still aggravated by the whole ordeal

- The world shakes and we see Meicoomon in demon form and the movie ends with DG laughing manically with Meiko passed out

Gotta say that overall I really wasn’t impressed. Confession was pretty hard to follow up with but…this? This was not what I expected at all. I’m pretty disappointed but there’s still two more movies so my fingers are crossed that it’ll get better from here.

What song/album/band/artist always brings back memories for you: “Who Made Who” by AC/DC brings back childhood memories because my Dad’s a huge AC/DC fan and that was the song my siblings and I liked best. Evanescence’s album The Open Door and MCR’s The Black Parade bring back memories of winter break in 8th grade when my sister and I hung out in my room drawing “manga” and listening to them on repeat. We grew apart fast after that, and it took years to reconnect properly, so it’s bittersweet. “Nemo” by Nightwish reminds me of road trips with the family, and a specific place we’d stop on our way to Lake Huron....

It’s more like they help vent the shitty feelings.

Chapter Reviews: March 19-23, 2019 + Thoughts on upcoming books

High School Story: Class Act Chapter 6:

Most of the trip to the aquarium is relaxing. There's no presidential election drama to worry about aside from Ajay learning that the twin's ahead in the polls. Definitely the break I needed from all that drama.

As much as I dislike Ajay, I feel bad for him that his parents are arguing to the point of getting a divorce. I just wish his story is executed properly and has a conclusion that makes sense. Same goes with Skye.

Across the Void Chapter 14:

Ah, back to Matara. Playing as my MC is fun in some ways, but these moments are few and far in between. And my happiness quickly vanished when I have to get back on the Atlas. Not to mention that having to pay diamonds to save a passenger's life is just stupid. On a morbid note, that's one less passenger to worry about.

Great, I have to play as Eos again. I still remember how petty and self-righteous he is, and I certainly am not pairing him with Lyra. She deserves someone better. At least there's no sign of Pax.

I didn't hesitate picking the option hoping that Barlow is a handsome fellow. That was actually pretty funny. With VEE and Sol on board, I hope most of the rest of the crew made it safe and sound. And since my MC's dating Sol, I hope they get to reconnect, and Sol gets to develop as a character. He has potential owing to his vast knowledge of the setting around him.

The Heist: Monaco Chapter 16:

Wow! This is a nice, sweet ending. Prove that a Choices story doesn't need romance as a main focus to be awesome. It was also nice and satisfying to take down Ansel and Carlise in order to prove who's boss. Reuniting with Sonia at Vegas was the cherry at the top. I owe her a premium scene once I can afford it.

As for the ending, I got an average one, but at least it's more satisfying to match the good endings of my recruits. I particularly enjoy those of Jones and Graves. Even the cameos from other books are fun to watch. Sure some of them are from books I'm not fond of, but at least they're done in a way that doesn't piss me off. It's fun to see Graves starring in a movie directed by Tommy Phelps. And yay for Alana! I miss her so much!

Overall, this story is great. I love the fact that I have to think in order to get favorable outcomes, allowing me to exercise my mind. The heist crew is also one of the strongest points, each of them having unique and distinct personalities, and their conversations together are fun to watch. I'm definitely replaying this with the crew members I didn't recruit in order to immerse myself again. I think this story works just as well with a second book, but with a new crew and a few recruits returning, kinda like America's Most Eligible has a new set contestants in All Stars. That would keep the story fresh and exciting while still preserve our choices on who we recruited.

Desire & Decorum Chapter 13:

I'm starting to miss Prince Hamid, whom my MC is engaged to. It doesn't help that the premium option to go with Ernest comes across as pointless, so I skipped that. Nevertheless, it always cheers me up to pick the snarky options with Duke Richards.

I picked the premium options to play as Briar and eavesdrop on the conspirators with Luke. Reaching the point where I have to pick Arthur Woods or Edmund Marlcaster got me thinking that it's. For the conspirators, I wish there's a way to play them against each other, and the pretending part to keep them unaware is a start. At least I got proof of how much of a hypocrite the duke is.

Bah, that snake Henrietta! Always looking after herself. I'm not super surprised she would get rid of MC. After all, it's a temporary "alliance" of convenience, and she practically does nothing to help with the investigation. This series's MC has suffered a lot, espececially because of Duke Richards, but I can't see her giving up because she strikes me as determined to be with who she loves no matter the situation in the end. In her case, I'd love to see people's reactions when she marries Prince Hamid. That's right, a prince.

Passport to Romance Chapters 1-2:

Eh, it's okay. I get that it's light-hearted, but there's not much to say because I don't get to see much of the love interests. At least they don't look super bad, though Elliot looks like he should lighten up. I also like that Marisa and Sumire are opposites in terms of personality, though it's a tad bit sterotypical. Still miffed that the male MC faces come from BSC. Why can't it be from VoS or AME?

I cringed at the thought of spending diamonds just to get extra views on the blog. Not to mention that I already have a bad feeling I have to pay diamonds just to add certain pictures of iconic landmarks to the vlog. Nevertheless, I'm more interested in the traveling for the vlog than the romance.

Anyway, let's see how this goes.

America's Most Eligible Chapter 10:

Ugh, Vince continues to get on my nerves for his unnecessarily rude behavior, and I'm glad Ivy's sick of him.

I'm curious of Ivy right now. I know she comes across as an underdeveloped villain back in Book 1, but I'm all down for understanding her character. Pity it costs diamonds, and after watching the scene on YouTube, I'm glad she reveals that she plans to run pageants if she won, and her desire to win no matter the cost makes more sense now. I think it's fun to see her choosing underhanded means to win and not letting her past bring her down.

As for All Stars' format, it's about time Jen and Omar are feeling the frustration with Carson's mishandling of things. I saw some screenshots, where Carson doesn't want to become like Piper, only to mess things up. If I were him, I'd take Jen and Omar's opinions into account and evaluate them. That would've allowed him to keep the show exciting for the audience and contestants. Either way, Jen and Omar should've been the showrunners instead of Carson.

The go-kart ride was a breeze for because I picked the premium option to pick the audience vote and train with Crash just because I wanted an advantage and continue roleplaying my MC as a flirt. Didn't expect things to go easily. Oh well.

Holy cow! That ending with Eden and Kiana was a curveball! I had a bad feeling they'll get eliminated soon, but having them in a go-kart accident that results in karts exploding? That was a drastic move! I just hope they'll be okay, but chances are that they won't, and I'm scared. The next chapter summary doesn't exactly relieve my worries either.

Open Heart Chapter 6:

Man, the beginning of this chapter was super tense. For a moment, I thought I might kill Shonda if I wasn't being careful. Fortunately, she survived and gave decent advice to MC. That should be useful later on.

My MC's number 19 on the list. Well, that means he has to work harder. Jackie's shock at Aurora being first and Aurora telling her to go on was priceless, though.

So, Sienna's boyfriend Wayne is a clone of some characters I've already seen. He even talks robotic that it's creepy instead of funny. There's no emotion when he talked about being a lead programmer at a software company. Seriously, Sienna should dump him and move on to Danny, just in case Wayne's company decides to go after Edenbrook Hospital.

Speaking of which, it's adorable to see Elijah feeling infatuated with Phoebe, even if Phoebe has Lucilla Nazario's model.

I'm curious about the C.T. scan from Ethan. My guess is that it's on Naveen Banerji, hence his retirement announcement. Either way, this story is getting more interesting.

Ride or Die Chapter 10:

After seeing the nitrous oxide tank, I just can't help but think of Crash Team Racing. It's a PS1 game I often played during my childhood, and its antagonist is named Nitrous Oxide. Anyway, I didn't use it because I'm saving diamonds.

The party's okay, though I'd rather not go to one in some decrepit area. Pity it costs diamonds to kiss Mona, but whatever.

I didn't pick the premium option to talk with Teppei Kaneko, but after seeing some screencaps on it online, I have conflicting opinions on him. I get that he ultimately cares for his son and encourages him to pursue a life outside of crime, but grooming Logan as his "successor" just so he'll have nothing to lose in case Logan gets in trouble is what caused Logan and Colt's rivalry in the first place. Colt needs a heart-to-heart talk with his father, especially since the MPC leadership is hereditary, and Kaneko seems adamant to encourage his son to abandon this kind of life, just like Colt's mother did.

So Logan knew the dad was investigating the MPC and was the one who called the cops because he wanted to MC to "owe" him? Well, MC never owed him anything. In fact, I never liked Logan to begin with, so am I supposed to feel angry and heartbroken that he tricked the MC? That's something he would do, honestly. I thought the rest of the MPC will get rid of her, but that didn't seem to happen. As for her oldest friend, I'm guessing it's her old friends Riya and Darius. I hope it's Darius because I like him for displaying common sense.

The Elementalists Chapter 2:

I like this book even more than I thought. The indication that some choices affect MC's karma meter looks like choices will affect the MC's personality and relationship with others. After the ability to impress Kane A.K.A. that funky fashion disaster of a villain, I'm guessing we can choose who we can trust.

Katrina Harrington is so pretty. And a cool teacher, not less. I love the way she teaches her students and look forward to know her better, preferrably directly from her.

I swear, Beckett should start behaving in front of his sister and friends. I get that he's distant to his friends besides the MC, but his rather disparaging descriptions of his friends isn't helping matters on his insecurities. I get that he doesn't want to be overshadowed by his sister and thinks she barges into his space, but that doesn't give him the license to abuse it by acting dismissive towards his "friends".

Thoughts on upcoming books:

I'm mildly excited for Nightbound, in part because it will feature gender options. Yet at the same time, I'm worried that Pixelberry will resort to the same clichés plaguing so many of its books, forced white male LI derailing the story being the biggest one. In the end, let's see how this goes.

I have mixed feelings for Wishful Thinking, especially after it's revealed that we can only play as a female. What's more important, however, is the quality of the story. If it ends up aimless like #LoveHacks, I don't want that.

I'm not excited for Sunkissed, which comes across as a cheesy romance story most likely to be female only. After all, Choices's low-effort books tend to lack gender options in order to make quick bucks. As for Platinum, I'm more excited because it's less like just romance and more like building up a music career. I fear that it will end up a fiasco like Red Carpet Diaries because of the protagonist being an up-and-coming music star. When Peyton said it will be gayer than TH:M, my guess is that its female love interests will be more prominent than the male ones. It could have gender options like TH:M, but it's also possible we won't.

Regarding the Royal Romance sequel series, I feel like a short epilogue would've been a bit better than an entire sequel series. Don't get me wrong. I love Olivia, Maxwell, the corgi, my MC, and her husband Liam, but I think it would've been better if the writers focused on treating their own characters well in Book 3 instead of focusing too much effort on Drake.

So.... BC quit. Don't know why (and I am not gonna enquire, I just know he is hella busy). But ya I don't know what this means going forward but im gonna roll with it. If i'm not flexible, then that is not a good winner. so ya looking forward toi see whatever happens, and if Madigan go to tribal again, all i know is that i will still be safe cause james and I will just get Keaton involved

Okay I'm super sad BC quit. They seemed like such a sweetheart. And I always hate to see anybody quit. I'm usually kind of annoyed about quitters but I hope BC is all good and it was just because they were busy... :(

This game has been really good to our tribe. We havent gone to tribal. I have a majority alliance of 4. Everyone is active and does 100% on the challenges. Its been good. Havent had much luck in idol hunt tho so probably someone already found it. Still nervous for the challenge. I want to keep winning but the bad thing in the eyes for the other tribe.

The game is always changing... and someone quitting just shows how quickly everything can change in the game. Plans set forward destroyed... alliances ruined just due to what the game might throw at you at any given time. It’s always scary but you know what... sometimes you gotta look at something bad and say hey let’s test my gameplay a little bit... that is what I’m good at and that is what I plan to do!

So we have swapped. and im not with james. This is hateful huh. first bc quitting today and now this. fuck this. and im with marie and keaton as well. ffs. oh well. time to get socialising and do this shit!

Because OG Dinah members definitely have a target as the last intact tribe. SO much is going on in my little gay brain.

Okay my brain is going a mile a minute with this swap. I'm reconnecting with Anna. She seems excited to see me and she told me she isn't super close with Jayden or Nick so that's amazing. I told Brian about Charlie's idol. So this is good. We're surviving.

I got ZType for the duels! Blessed. I can do well in this game and I can't be the reason our tribe loses in the RARE chance we do. So i'm feeling okay.

Too annoyed to write too much right now. But yet another org, and yet another swap fuck! Honestly, this is ridiculous. We have three members on either 7 person tribe, and even if we do manage to succeed in surviving another non-dinah is going to replace the voted out member... you can't make this shit up.

I knew the swap was coming. But im with Dennis which is good. He has some connections with Bryce and Nicole so hopefully they work with us. Keaton is also here like oh Boi. 👀 going to see if he wants to work with me this time. Having him around could help me in this game.

Ok so Klick quit which is kinda upsetting cuz I was grinding tf outta that challenge and I lowkey played a game with him about a year and a half ago and kinda wanted to reconnect. BUT Nathan is now on the tribe which is like the nest possible scenario. Also we have Anna so hopefully we have an easy majority. Although I am in the minority right now based on tribal lines, Nathan is someone I've wanted to work with for like eons, and I feel so much more comfortable with him on my tribe than James and letting Annabelle hold my fate in her hands. I think I have an upward battle, but I know Charlie has the idol and will warn Sharky in the case I need Charlie to use it on himself. The two from my OG tribe I got stuck with is by far the only two from Dinah that I would go out of my way to protect in this game and knowing Charlie has the idol... ugh... I don't even have to DO anything and tea gets served to me. Love Sharky.. love Charlie.. love Nathan... can't wait to thrive in this game now!

So the swap, i thought would have been really bad for us original dinah people but so far it looks like we might pull through. Nicole told by Dennis to me that she is willing to work with us but im a little sketch because she hasnt really responds to me exept like one message and then it stops. Im trying to get info from keaton and see if he wants to work with me. I have to keep an eye on him cuz he’s messy af. 👀 I think we could be a strong tribe so hopefully we win the next immunity. well james left so we got nathan i'm not upset about it i love nathan he's my person this game i think and we swapped with sharky on the tribe and i just played with sharky and we're in majority so things are really looking up here for me tbvh i feel like sharky might want to get rid of one of my OG tribe people but we'll see how it goes.

This game is weird man. I was so ready to play 2048, but Kirby Boi #2 was a quitter, so now I'm not playing 2048, both people I trusted QUIT, and Dennis is on my tribe. I am going to lose really soon. But hopefully I can find an in on my tribe and survive.

Okay so this challenge was...a disaster. I asked everyone to just do the song and then I'd make it look good with editing. That didn't work out. And I had more trouble editing than i thought. I feel like I dropped the ball and I'm not sued to being someone holding my tribe back. I tried to hide our bad lipsyncers. Charlie got sick. And something happened in the rush of uploading it that gave me a weird crop and a couple of cuts that I screwed up but I ran out of time. I'm feeling really disappointed in myself.

Okay we lost. This sucks. two of the judges called out the edit/effort specifically so that doesn't feel great. But I'm going to look at this as a positive. Maynor and Dennis stay safe on the other tribe. And Now I can use this to make some real connections and alliances on this tribe. Like Chad Michaels I will rise from the ashes and be the gayest winningest phoenix you have ever seen.

So we lost the challenge, but I don't feel too... bad about that. I mean if I go home, clearly I fucked the fuck up and felt too confident... but I think that I feel... good?

Firstly, thank you to the judges for recognizing my SNAP in the lip sync. I wasn't sure they were going to do my rap in the challenge, so I'm glad it was in there hehe... Now... going to tribal is a part of the game and the strategy has been lacking up till now, so I'm excited to jump in and finally explore that part of the game. It'll be a nice start to my resume, following accidentally make James quit LMFAO.

Right now, I think I'm in a solid spot. Nick said he wouldn't vote for me and I mean.. we haven't talked much, but I expect him to not lie for no reason... and I'm going to make sure to increase our conversation and expand on what HE wants to happen to just have that tea under my belt. I think Jayden is who I would like gone, and I think I'd be able to gather the votes to get that to happen. It's not like I have anything against him personally, but I just feel it's hardest to talk to him because him and I are not alike from what I've gathered. I'm the uber gay and for the uber gay and the Travis Scott fanboy to get along? Would be shocking.

I like Annabelle and Nathan a lot and I don't think they'd throw votes for me. I have my little final 2 deal going on with Nathan, but highkey I don't think I'd keep him as my #1 over Marie, if I get to the point where I meet with her, so I have no problem cutting him or Annabelle in the future. I do think it'd be better to work WITH them, especially for now, and I think they feel similar sentiments, but I don't know for sure!

But now we come to the real people I would like to protect going into this vote, Charlie and Sharky. I love my OG Dinah babies so much, and I will make sure their names aren't the targets of this vote. I think Sharky has set himself up well, and since he told me Charlie has the idol, I think we should especially be OK. I also think Annabelle and Nathan seemingly want to work with us, so .... whew...

ALSO, this is a mid-confessional update, but 2 alliances were formed. We have the "Tea Party" alliance with Sharky, me, and Nathan (the gays) and then the "Dinah Dudes" alliance with Charlie, Sharky, and me (OG Dinah's) and then I think another sub-alliance with the "Tea Party" and Annabelle is coming to fruition, so kjHDKAS... ya... I think I'm SET. I can't wait to wreck shit!

So we swapped tribes and here I am with 3 from my original tribe, 3 from the other tribe and Bryce from the third tribe. Bryce and I know each other, and by that I mean I just blindsided him another org... oops! Hopefully he doesn’t come after me but who knows because I literally did not participate in this challenge at all! We still won though so hopefully I’ll get to redeem myself in the next one

My arms are SORE from pulling all my best Freddie Mercury moves out for this lip sync, I am SO tired. But I honestly am so glad i gave my 100% effort because I truly needed to pull through for this tribe and show them I’m not just a sitting duck. (Is that the term? Idk.)

So the tribe lost and I’m a bit nervous because I’ve only heard one name... I would have loved to saved my idol until I needed it but I think it’s very likely my name could be the second one going around... we shall see what happens though.

Ugh okay so I was hoping for a simple easy vote. But as usual there is just a little bit of drama. Nick told Anna/Nathan that he has a legacy advantage to be used at F13/F6 which is trash because that means if we lose next time he'll use that and be safe. But if we vote him out he'll gift it to Jayden and we have the same problem. Plus Charlie is wigging out because he has a bad feeling about the vote, which is totally fair because he isn't talking very much. And Nick told Anna her name got thrown out which is just untrue. This is just kind of messy and not in a cute way.

Jayden is voted out 5-2.
