this is wilder! wilder is a witch who posts about mycenas craft in a grimoire series. wilder called the series toad's grimoire, and it's very interesting and i'm sure helpful for witches! thank you, wilder!

espeon has a special interest in pokemon, and some of espeon's comforts are the eeveeloutions. espeon posts about that sometimes on qs blog. i always love seeing what echo has to say on there!

harpy likes rock music! but harpy also likes aurora quite a bit too. i know harpy listens to ic3speak, and i know harpy likes the song dead but pretty! i wonder what harpy's favourite songs by them are.

pallet is a gardener too. pallet has a lot of houseplants, and i understand why because it is too hot for a big garden. pallet also uses plants for mycenas craft.

tea also loves mythology! i'm taking a class on mythology this year too, so i hope i can talk about it with tea sometime! tea always has interesting things to say on topics fae know.

coell plays lots of witch themed games too. coell seems to complete them fast too, although coell has mentioned them being pretty short. i wish i knew some good games to recommend to coell!

easel also writes songs! i know easel's written one for their ocs' band, and it was really good! i bet someday easel will have an entrie discography of songs.

sitka is currently hyperfixated on bee and puppycat! i cannot watch it but i hope sitka is enjoying it! i wonder if sitka likes it for the style or the plot? either way, i'm glad sitka has something that makes them happy :}

espurr draws too. i know espurr likes drawing plants! additonally, espurr has commissions open, and faer art is really good, so if you want to support espurr you should!

maleficent is mogai as well! maleficent is nb, and maleficent has talked about mycenas gender on qs blog before. maleficent is also omnigay, gaybian, and abro, and honestly know them has helped me be a lot more accepting. thanks maleficent :}

bea likes undertale too! bea has a special interest in the game. i believe bea's talked about it a little before on their blog as well! that's something bea and i have in common, cause undertale is one of my spins too!

porter's oc band is called the adventurers! porter has talked about the characters on qs writing blog, and porter is really creative. porter's characters are also very diverse, which is really nice for young lgbtq+ kids!

crescent is hyperfixated on stray too! crescent actually also uses the name stray. from what i've seen, it looks like a really cute game, and i can see why crescent enjoys it.

harlan is very kind, and harlan is also very protective of faer friends and qpps. harlan has a really big heart, and harlan is a very good friend.

bee tieflingkin too! i wonder how that affects bee's daily life? either way, i think that is very cool about bee. i hope bee feels as little to none as possible dysphoria about it!

hoax has inspired one of us to look into witchcraft! i think it's cool that hoax was able to do that. hoax explains it in a way that's easy to understand, and i appreciate what i've leaned from cena.

kael likes rvb. kael seems very knowledgeable about it, however i wouldn't know. i hope that kael gets to enjoy it whenever they want to!

blight creates a lot of ocs! one of them is kirsten janeway, a star trek oc! blight makes really well developed characters, which i admire. blight's characters would be interesting to be around.

alice runs a lot of mogai blogs, and has coined a lot of really good terms. alice's blog also promotes a lot of other anti endo mogai blogs! i appreciate alice for listing them out.

palette also has special interests in marvel and dc! i wonder if palette likes on more than the other, and who palette's favourite heros and villans are.

lastly, echo is mushroomkin too! echo hasn't spoken about it as much i think, but nonetheless it is very cool. i hope echo feels more at home in their body whenever they can.

Eyes sweep over the Branded man. Seen as naught more than an inhuman slave, this Roi Coello had every reason to be seething with rage.

Once upon a time, Dion would have thought the same. He would have immediately used him as he saw fit then discarded him when he became far too overrun by his curse. Yet, ever since the Remembrance Ceremony, his view on Branded has been irrevocably changed, swayed muchly by the kindness the Rosarian duchy showed towards those who should only be seen as tools.

Now, though... now, Dion cannot find it in himself to think as the populace does. The curse that smears Branded bodies is nigh the same as the marks Dominants gain over time with overuse of their magic. It is the reason why Dion all but refuses to allow any Branded to join his Holy Order; the only slaves that came under his service were healers that his father blithely assigns without askance.

This man is much the same. His father had encouraged more Branded amongst his dragoons, had been convinced that Dion need absolute loyalty, yet... it aches knowing that his father has not yet seen the loyalty his order already shows him. He need not use fear nor pain to incite fervent passion, only the respect and leadership they deserve.

And so Dion sees no reason as to why Roi Coelle should not undergo the same treatment. Albeit in front of his father's eyes he must act his part as uncomfortable as it will be, but right now, they are away from such scrutiny.

Dion inhales slowly. Exhales. Hands fold behind his back as he appraises the Branded man.

"Then you will serve on your feet." Dion's tone brooks no argument as he beckons to a dragoon. They immediately move toward him and hand him a sword, of which he examines with a keen eye. Sharp. Not at all for training. He approaches Roi and, without hesitation, holds his hand out for the man to grasp the blade for himself.

"I would see your skill, Roi Coello," Dion says. Regardless of the clear anger emanating from the soldier before him, Dion keeps his gaze steady and strong as his other hand reaches out to take a lance from his second-in-command. "If a sword is not to your liking, then speak your mind. Otherwise, mayhap it is best you start this spar."

⸻ ✦ He could not remember the last time he had been called by his name. It feels almost like a secret spell. A test to see his reaction. He flinches. Part of him feels waves of warmth spread through him. But that warmth quickly sparks into rage. How dare he speak that name. The name his mother gave him. The mother he watched die due to the empire. Speak the family name they had stolen from him.

He grits his teeth, still kneeling despite being told to stand. If only because the emotions rooted him in place. He wanted to cut out his dignified tongue and force it down his throat. He wanted to parade his head in front of the imperials. He wanted him to beg for forgiveness.

Roi raises to his feet, hands tightened into fists at his sides. He gazed at the sword being offered to him. It was smaller than he was used to. Roi had found it easier to use larger swords. To use the size of it to strike only once to kill and the weight to hit harder. But he had been originally been trained with smaller swords. Not his preference, but he would make do.

He takes the sword, spinning it in his hand before taking a stern grip on the hilt.

"Smaller than my usual, but that's fine. Can I use magic?" Roi didn't care about the curse or dying or anything. What good was his life? He was living so the people who died to protect him could rest easier. If someone killed him in battle or he died of the curse due to being Branded, it wasn't his fault. They couldn't hate him.

He barely waits for an answer before raising his free hand toward the prince and shooting tendrils of darkness toward him. Such magic had awakened in him after he lost his unit, but he didn't bother questioning it.

Using the attack as a distraction, he leaped toward the man with the sword, aiming for his neck.

Studierende der Universität Jena nehmen an UNO-Simulation in Paris teil

Kleines Land auf großer Bühne für Jenaer Studierende

Eine Versammlung der Vereinten Nationen in New York ist die ganz große Bühne. Eine Nummer kleiner, doch nicht minder spannend geht es für zehn Studierende der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena vom 12. bis 16. März 2023 in Paris zu. Die Jenaer Delegation nimmt an der „Harvard World Model United Nations“ (WorldMUN) Konferenz teil und vertritt dort Costa Rica. Wie in der „echten“ UNO diskutieren bei dieser Simulation über 1.500 Studierende aus über 80 Ländern über reale Probleme der Weltpolitik, wie etwa die Energieversorgung, die Klimakrise oder Kindersoldaten.

Die Jenaer Delegation für die WorldMUN 2023, die erstmals nach drei Jahren wieder in Präsenz stattfinden kann: Franziska Sandt, Ben Mengler, Dagmar Coelle, Emma Morgan, Lucas Kozun, Razia Gul Mohammad, Justine Krieg, Amelie Brockhaus, Ana Maria Gutierrez Suarez, Beatrice Zillmann, Annika Lüttge und Sofiia Shaida (v.l.n.r.). (Foto: Jule Marie Brischar/Universität Jena) „Das Ziel ist es, im Interesse der von ihnen vertretenen Staaten nach zahlreichen Verhandlungsrunden am Schluss der Konferenz Resolutionen zu verabschieden“, sagt Franziska Sandt. Die Politikwissenschaftlerin von der Universität Jena hat die Delegation mittels eines Bewerbungsverfahrens zusammengestellt und im vergangenen Semester vorbereitet. Studierende verschiedener Fächer und verschiedener Nationalitäten Zur Delegation gehören Amelie Brockhaus, Dagmar Coelle, Razia Gul Mohammad, Justine Krieg, Lucas Kozun, Annika Lüttge, Ben Mengler, Emma Morgan, Sofiia Shaida und Beatrice Zillmann. Vertreten sind Studierende der Politikwissenschaft, aus dem internationalen Studiengang International Organisations and Crisis Management, eine Lehramtsstudentin, eine Physik- und eine Sozialgeographie-Studentin. Die Studierenden kommen aus den USA, Deutschland, der Ukraine, aus Afghanistan sowie ihre mitreisende Tutorin Ana Maria Gutierrez Suarez aus Kolumbien. Das Team repräsentiert Costa Rica in fünf verschiedenen Gremien der UNO mit unterschiedlichen internationalen Konfliktthemen. Costa Rica, ein kleines Land in Mittelamerika, unterhält seit 1949 keine militärischen Streitkräfte mehr. Dikanda Live on Stage!!! 24.03.2023 im KuBa Jena, Foto: Jenafotografx Um sie bestmöglich vorzubereiten, absolvierten die Studierenden im Vorfeld ein von Franziska Sandt geleitetes englischsprachiges Seminar über Rhetorik, Diplomatie und Verhandlungsstrategien. Außerdem gab es eine Generalprobe: Anfang Januar trafen sich die Studierenden im kleinen Rosensaal der Universität zur Probesimulation „littleMUN“, bei der es um die Simulation einer Sitzung des Sicherheitsrates zur Verlängerung der Mali-Mission ging. Vertreten waren dort alle 15 Länder des Sicherheitsrates. In einer sechsstündigen Verhandlung wurde ein Vorschlag zur Weiterführung und Ausweitung der aktuellen UN-Peacekeeping-Mission MINUSMA erarbeitet und erfolgreich verabschiedet. Gründliche und intensive Vorbereitung mit einer Generalprobe Um ein tieferes politisches und historisches Verständnis für die Belange Costa Ricas zu entwickeln, unternahmen die zehn Delegierten am 15. Februar eine eintägige Exkursion nach Berlin. Dort wurden sie von Eugenia Gutierrez und Marianela Àlvarez Blanco in der Botschaft Costa Ricas empfangen und hatten die Möglichkeit, in einem zweistündigen Gespräch die Positionen des Landes näher kennenzulernen. Im Anschluss besuchte die Delegation der Universität Jena noch die Landesreferentin für Costa Rica, Michaela Gastiger, im Auswärtigen Amt und sie wurden in der französischen Botschaft vom Ersten Botschaftsrat Thomas Guibert empfangen.
