They say never meet your heroes but after 25 years, I finally did and was not disappointed at all. What an incredible, generous and kind-hearted woman. Young me chose her heroes well 😊
I FREAKING MET BRENT SPINER (AND JONATHAN FRAKES) YESTERDAY!
I still can't believe I talked to Brent!! And got a photo with him! He was so nice to me. And so damn funny. I wanna cri 🥺
Like, come on, Brent is peak comedy. Acted like his mic was out for like 2 minutes and then when he wanted to actually talk normally, the sound guys turned it off for fun. 😂
I even was on the big screen once, with the spotlight in my face (cringe), because I wanted to ask him a question at his panel.
Sadly, they were out of time, even though Brent was like: "oh come on, I was just getting comfortable. 4 or 5 more questions, and I would maybe even be funny."
Humble Brent back at it again. 👀
But it was the best day ever! Like WOW. I dunno...just felt the need to share how awesome he is in person. What a great guy ✨
I wanna go again!
Also sorry about me screaming from the top of my lungs and my clown laugh lmaooo 🤡
If you’ve been keeping up with Family Law, you might have caught the Firefly/Andromeda crossover that happened in episode 2 when So Weird alum Jewel Staite shared the screen with Laura Bertram.
The two haven’t done a lot of work together, but they’re good friends who have shared panels at places like FedCon in 2007 and Decalogy (Starfury Conventions).
They’ve also done some semi-cross So Weirdish content. Both of their early roles included Are You Afraid of the Dark episodes - with Laura returning in the 2019 revival - and were each on episodes of Supernatural.
Staite was on X-Files, DaVinci’s Inquest, and Cold Squad (the latter two being shows Belinda Metz was also on) and Bertram had a role on Once Upon A Time (a show close to David Squatch Ward). And they’ve both had their share of Hallmark movies as well.
The wonderful George Takei sang for us today 💙 What a lovely, kind and generous man. This was the first time I met him and I am so grateful I got that opportunity.
anyway shout out to the girl in the bathroom line behind me at Fedcon who started crying when she realised Terry Farrell was standing in line right next to us. I hope you're doing well
Visited FecCon today and it was amazing. Watched the panels of Dominic Keating and John de Lancie, and also the ESA manned spaceflight panel, and talked with quite a lot of cool costumed people.
