As for ‘taking up the fic,’ the short answer is no.

I have active drafts and the rest of the story already planned out to its finish, notes, even a branch-off fic set post-story that will likely go up on my nsfw blog if i ever get around to editing it. The Lost Guardian hasn’t been abandoned, it’s simply on hiatus. (And yes, i recognize 3 almost 4 years so far is a really fucking long hiatus. The Chapter 9 draft doc was made in december of 2020, and last edited in July 2022)

I started writing that fic whilst still in highschool, a time where I was 17 and didnt have to worry yet about getting my license or maintaining a part time job, i had an over abundance of freetime even partially to my detriment, the fandom was booming and I had plenty of feedback, and this fic was (and still *is*) a story im proud of.

But i’m 22 now, working a full time job to pay rent and account for a number of minor ‘disabilities’(best word i have for them atm) that I cant ignore or push to the side nor treat poorly, from the lasting effects on my body of stunted growth to celiac/glutent intolerance to adhere to that directly determines how easily my body functions for the week, to dealing with glasses i cannot afford to break and taking care of teeth i cannot afford to fix, taking care of my mental health and using the free time i have to do what brings me the most joy at that time.

The sanders sides fandom has heavily quieted down with the season finale hiatus and I’d like to think I did pretty well for going six long years dedicated solely to that without cracking under the silence, because *I knew* when I caved to something else it’d be a long while before I had the drive to come back with any sort of resolution to my active works. Thats just how my hyper fixations work. I cannot focus on multiple at once, it’s too much to process simultaneously and takes away my enjoyment bc I tend to watch/consume things repeatedly to catch every little detail i missed. I’ve had to answer this question a handful of times over the years at the point, which might be why this response feels so charged, and i’m sorry.

I don’t mean to come off as snippy or rude, but it *is* kind of invasive to offer to finish one’s creative work when it’s taking too long and theres very little payback for it. I’ve got adhd, delayed satisfaction isn’t a thing I experience. Just guilt that it wasn’t finished in a way for me to post it in time before I broke and lost all motivation to share it.

In my head, TLG has been long finished and held the ending for years, theres just been no energy to put in the effort of finish writing it for others to read. I’m still trying to get my life together to change that, don’t get me wrong, but the American economy is literally in shambles so who knows how or even if i’ll manage that. Call me selfish for being content with only mentally having my creative story’s ending and a collection of rambles and notes to show for it, but at the end of the day, it’s still my story, and i dont feel comfortable with people trying to ‘take up the mantle’ to finish it, when they don’t know how it ends.

I’m glad you like it enough to want to, though, I really *really* am. I’m just sorry I haven’t been able to finish it for you all. And i just don’t know when that will be, I just know that I *want* to do so, however long it takes.

i just now noticed that i dont remember my previous url anymore lol but i wanted to change it and so a brainstormed a bit and came up with it. I kinda wanted to combine my 2 ult groups (svt +ptg) and i thought the name sounded cute.

I refused to make several blogs for years until now. but before i became a kpop multistan blog I used to have something like an aesthetic which i totally lost and I wanted to bring back so now i have a “pink aesthetic” and a “neutrals/earthy (?????) aesthetic” blog to be more satisfied with myself again

around 5-6 years. actually i only changed urls several times... this blog is a mess

i do! bcs my brain is full of memes it is “#hello is it me queue looking for” and my brain actually plays the song every time i use the tag. currently i dont use it as much tho

I started as a 5sos fanblog and added bands and further tried to develop some kind of aesthetic

Why did you choose your icon/pfp?

got tired of the picrew icon and wanted something pink to go along with my what? 3rd pink theme so i scrolled through my pink tag and found the cat in front of the flowers and thought " this is PERFECT omg like" and so i changed it and i was right it WAS perfect <3

How do you go about picking/adding your colors? Your art always has such a warm, lovely feel to it :o

im not super sure whats good or helpful here so im going to share a few tips on what i like to keep in mind! (sorry this post is a little long)

first thing first when i make a design(for oc or a podcast character) i assign the character a color and this helps me narrow down what to use! then i use complementary(ie blue and orange or green and purple the idea is you take a color on the color wheel and draw a straight line from it to the opposite side and that gives you its complimentary color) or triadic colors(red blue and yellow or draw two lines at a diagonal from ur selected color and then the two other colors you hit with those lines connect with another line to make a triangle connecting those three colors)(if these descriptions r confusing just...look these things up ppl have illustrated them way better than i could have)

AND its very important that just having a color in mind like purple isnt it! there are things like saturation and brightness you need to take into account!

i dont personally like to use pure grayscale colors nor fully saturated colors but there is nothing wrong with using either!! you can also use those color palette memes to help you figure out some colors! altho i wouldnt be solely reliant on them bc i feel like somehow eyeballing all of my colors has helped me a lot with being consistent and ‘good’ at picking my colors

there are definitely a bunch of like color theory essays that can explain how colors work and what to choose but honestly im more of a visual learner and something SUPER good is color picking from art you like and seeing how they look on the color wheel and apply it to your own drawings! (while i think this method is very good for learning PLEASE do not use it to just straight up steal ideas from other artists)

since this is a tma blog here are some general ideas of the colors i pick for certain characters to give some ppl ideas

some other things:

-dont be afraid to change colors and test stuff out, i like to put parts that i know im gonna be constantly changing colors on on a separate layer so i can easily fill and refill over bad colors. u wont always get it right the first time

-instead of drawing on a white canvas when choosing colors make the background a base color for what you want to go for! (an image for a character u want to put in red can have a reddish bg)

-colors can look different depending on what colors they are by! this can be kinda a confusing concept but the idea is you dont always have to use an exact orange to make something look orange if your image is very blue based, instead you could maybe use a pinkish red (what can help w this is putting the color you want and overlaying it with the mood you are going for)

-coloring lineart can drastically help the tone of an image! i like to color my lineart a color and then set it to multiply

-speaking of layer effects in order to get that really put together look i like to put on an overlay over the whole image when im done! usually a red color at about 20% opacity

little example of the difference:

oh an also before i forget an important note when coloring darker skin you dont want to just go from a white skin tone and make it darker because you can end up making your character look ashy but instead of just making it darker you also add saturation(im sorry im bad at explaining it with words i see it as when you have a skin tone for a base color dont go straight down for a darker color go in a diagonal like so)
