Based off of this excerpt from Pierre & Natasha from the musical Natasha, Pierre, And The Great Comet of 1812:
You have your whole life before you—
Before me?
No, all is over for me!
All over?
If I were not myself,
But the brightest,
Handsomest,
Best man on earth,
And if I were free,
I would get down on my knees,
This minute,
And ask you for your hand.
And for your love.
(Give it a listen if you want but this is the song right before the finale of the musical so it may not make sense but it's a very soothing song - the format of the musical is they're basically singing the narration of a novel so that's why they sing what they're doing)
The ghost turned around, but it wasn’t a ghost at all.
She was real.
She was here.
“Gale,” she whispered, tears in her eyes.
“You’re real. You’re here,” he whispered back, wrapping her in his arms, committing to memory how she felt as he held her tightly for the first time in over a year.
Do I have brain rot for my own fanfic? Yes, yes I do. Anyway, have some more heartbreak!
If you want read it you can find it here or on AO3
I've been busy trying to play Baldur's Gate 3 since August and just recently were able to finish it, so here's part 1 of my semicoherent compilation of (mostly meme) art with Gale and my wizard/cleric Tav April.
Very quick little rough sketch before bed. I love the idea of Gale and Aislyn (Tav) sharing their knowledge with one another. I think Gale would be eager to learn any form of magic, especially if it was sacred to his partner.
