Anything is meaningless in isolation but once given a little context, its can become the most important thing in existence. How we humans determine meaning is dependent on a process that interplays between our psychology, societies, and neurology. The determining process is time and energy intensive which is why some people opt into a modified version of Nihilism, which requires the least amount of energy to use. Only a few things matter to these philosophical undead and they are willing to commit acts of violence for even the most self-destructive ideals (because nothing else matter). The antidote for this cursed way of thinking isn't self-annihilation but to care about everything. Humanity must become more compassionate than the universe or become subsumed by it's indifferent materials.
I am truly blessed to know and be friends with people with excellent film taste.
Yesterday, I watched "The Taste of Things" (La Passion de Dodin Bouffant), a 2023 French film... and I cried in the theater. It was so beautifully done, so romantic, and both the food and character development were portrayed with elegance.
Then I saw my other friend, and we watched 'I <3 Huckabees" (I love Huckabees), a 2004 American existentialist film, at his house. It was incredible and aligned with how much I've been thinking about philosophy and spirituality lately.

Yesterday, I cried, and I thought. And above all, I loved.
