i don’t know what it is with modern writers acting like bruce is nothing but brooding and stubbornness and anger like the whole premise of batman as a character is that the death of his parents inspires bruce towards studying a variety of subjects and skillsets including a whole criminology degree so as to prepare himself for whatever he becomes he’s genuinely a man with a VISION and every time a writer tries to act like he’s nothing but an angry teenager who needs to be led into “meaningful” or academic pursuits by other people bc he lacks direction or whatever it just pisses me off. like there is no one more certain of themselves upon embracing their superhero identity than bruce the whole thing that sets him apart as a character is that his arc works in reverse bc he starts out incredibly sure of himself and his ideology after spending near a decade building it up but progressively the trauma that impacts his life after he becomes batman causes him to doubt and for his idealism to waver bc he slowly realizes that his approach to heroism may be flawed

you know a minecraft mod is good when you start genuinely forgetting it's not part of the base game

#farmers delight is one of the best mods out there i think #as well as Create but that one's a little easier to tell the difference between that and the base game #those two mods fall into the category in my head of 'could be put into the main game and i wouldn't bat an eye' #like the stuff just all fits so well with the vanilla game and all around the work is really really solid #The textures the audio the functionality it's all really good #i keep sorting my items between vanilla and modded #and i keep accidentally putting my rice and onions in my vanilla food chest like. no those are from a mod #i think. these mods should be added to the main game #but i know if any of these aspects made it into the game even if by the same devs it would be altered to make it distinct

Skylar’s Pet - Rhys the Fruit Bat

Rhys the fruit bat who looks vaguely like a dog. Based on my dog Rhys, who looks vaguely like a fruit bat.

(Yes, I’m aware the ears are technically too big for a fruit bat, but my dog’s ears are big so it’s a compromise that must be made)

To be clear, Rhys isn’t technically Sky’s pet. Rhys is just a bat that lived in the mushroom cave by their farm when they moved in. He kept stealing all their fruit from the trees and ruining it, so Skylar started bringing him fruit as a form of compromise. Now Rhys brings Skylar rare fruits in return.

Here is a preliminary Hikari, and Samo's big brother! He has also escaped his genre, and he is not aware that most of the things he says sound incredibly threatening! Although only Hikari seems to notice anyway. (Luckily for Hikari, he really is a nice guy!)

Like national parks and every beautiful beach she ever came across. She smashed together the BEST sights and places she's found in her travels, like a collection. Always adding more. New waterfalls, new noodle shops, new fields of wine grapes. It's... beautiful. Snapshots of every wonderous little thing about Earth, stitched together.

And Damian? Never backs down. The second Dan starts challenging him? His character is flawless and his morals divine. He has never done anything wrong, ever, in his LIFE. Fuck you. And on TOP of that? He not only will be the SINGLE GREATEST FATHER TO EVER FATHER, his home is the most loving and beloved ON THE PLANET!
