Themes of immortality being a curse? immortals either doing good or wrecking havoc? a stoic immortal protagonist who's lived on the Earth too long?? a plucky female protagonist who holds her own in a fight and SHARES THE SAME CURSE AS AFOREMENTIONED IMMORTAL???? Mystery surrounding WHY said curses exist to begin with???? Hello?????

Not everything goes back to Inuyasha, or even Ranma. Takahashi has been doing this shit longer than most of us online have been alive, so of course, she'll have recurring themes, tropes, styles, etc. No shit. So does practically EVERY SINGLE MANGKA IN EXISTENCE.

Day 7 of @rumicworldweek - Happy Birthday Rumiko Takahashi!! 🎉

Sadly, no art for today since it seems I've hit an artblock after drawing for almost an entire week 😭, but to be fair everything drawn for this week was for sensei's birthday after all. I wanted to draw art for Mermaid Saga, One Pound Gospel and Rumic Theatre, but unfortunately there's only seven days in a week (though I have drawn art for Mermaid Saga like a week earlier and I have drawn an art for one of the Rumic Theatre stories months ago. Sorry One Pound Gospel, eventually!!) And plus, when it comes to topic of Rumiko Takahashi and her works, I decided to talk about it rather than draw...

Rumiko Takahashi... Honestly, all her works mean a lot to me. Each have it's own reasons, reasons why they're more than just mere stories to me. I guess it's mainly because of how good of a storyteller she is. Here's a little tidbit from her which may show why:

And boy, does it make me feel exactly how she wants it to. She knows what the reader looks forward to and she delivers just that while having fun. The amount of love and passion in her works in insane and the little details put to the story and characters are exactly what I love about her tales. Then there's the amount variety when it comes to her stories which I think is the most obvious when you pick up just one volume of the rumic theatre, one moment you're reading a hijinks story about a boy who just want to deliver newspapers but keeps getting interrupted by invaders and half- fishmen and the next moment you'll be reading a horror where this high school kid who knows archery is trying save his girlfriend from being murdered by his yandere cousin.

Honestly, just the amount of one shots she have is enough to prove how much as well as the number of chapters her serializations have is enough to show how much dedication and passion RT has for manga and this dedication is just what makes their quality so good. Urusei Yatsura makes me laugh and reminds me to have fun and enjoy life. Maison Ikkoku taught me about growing up. Mermaid Saga is a spine-chilling story which talks about the price of greed. Ranma 1/2 brings about the topic of familial love besides the romance itself. I've only watched the OVA for One Pound Gospel, but what intrigues me the most is the fact that the main pairing is a boxer and a nun, it's like the strangest pairing you could make but Kosaku and Sister Angela make it work and let's just say I love these kind of strange pairings, lol. Inuyasha talks about letting go from the past while still keeping the important within you. Kyoukai no RINNE is quite nostalgic to me as someone who grew up in a family who's very keen on saving money and a lot of moments make me laugh because I've been similar situations and it's nice to look back on them. And finally, MAO is the series I'm currently growing up with.

I know Rumiko Takahashi will never see this but.. Thank you so much for everything, your characters and stories managed to lift my spirits in the darkest of times and remind me that everything will eventually be okay. I know I'm not the only one who thinks this and all of what I've said is why I love Rumiko Takahashi and her stories.... ♥

Just. Consider Shu's beef against Eichi, then you got Eichi's beef against tomoya. All the while there's whatever himeru and tattsun got going on. Also meru's detective thingy

Steampunk

I just want mayoi on a big ass ship again serving cunt. Also mayoi and nii-chan interactions. Rei is there because of course he is (we ignore that they were both in la mort). Everybody in this shuffle at some point has to clown on sena because it's morally correct to clown on izumi sena

Fairytale

Very obviously not inspired by dragons flying over a nowhere forest by ao3 user 21397942794 (lie) (you should read it btw it's really good it has a dragon and midoyuzu)

Also naru is a princess and midoyuzu shenanigans. Also yuzuara. And sora going "I know what you are" to Midori. Nagisa is there because I need to further my "Midori having weird but wholesome friendships with everyone in Eden" agenda. But also the bridal march tour gave me brainworms for yuzuru and nagi friendship

Circus themed

It's actually just me making an excuse to put torikasa in a unit. And jun going "haha mini ohii-san" to Tori. Torikasa being insufferable to each other that Kanata looks at them and then plays clown music because they're fucking idiots (affectionate). Mika just vibes. Also momo and sumomo returns

Megane

That's it. That's the whole shuffle unit. Just the guys with glasses. And chiaki. He gets a new glasses card. This fanservice for the megane fans (me, I am the megane fans)

Also one of them loses their glasses at one point and they have to stumble around to look for it like Velma does (it's either keito or mugi)

Futuristic

Madaleo.

They also probably use the VR thing again. And the closest thing we'll ever get to DF comeback. Mao and yuta are there because I think it's funny if they got to witness the insane chaos in the front row while kohaku's like "first time?"

Vibing at the zoo

Peachy and Thunder returns and is featured in a card that's higher than 3✩. Please HappyEle bring back the frogs....

Also wawa's birds are here, and Leon. Subaru would be here, but that would mean 3/4(?) of ANIMALS are in this unit. And I need hiiro vibing with kuro. Maybe a sparring session between them

Beach day

BEACH DAY!! Kaoru teaches mitsuru to surf and Niki grills food on the beach. Everyone is having fun. Subaru and mitsuru race with daikichi on the beach. Life is good

Obligatory someone gets hit by a volleyball in the head (it's kaoru)

Survival-esque horror

Halloween I think? Think zombie apocalypse and these are the main characters tying to survive

And also because literally any interaction with rinne is fucking funny as hell. Also remember in the main story when the bees were causing trouble? Yeah. The whole fiasco with tricking Akatsuki, kicking koga off the stage, the ryuseitai being called fake heroes incident (and rinne and niki running off on a motorcycle only for Kanata and chiaki to catch up with them and tie them up to bring them back to es). Yeah. Rinne gotta deal with that. Interesting things. And rinne gets to make fun of aira about hiiro's marriage proposal in matrix

Swap!Eccentrics' Origin cards!

[ s!War Era lore below cut <3 (keep in mind i haven't read Altered or the original stories, so this is all based off of Element & the few anime episodes)]

In the beginning, the need of a reform in the school was both Himeru and Tatsumi's idea. Tatsumi was the one to actually attempt to do much about it though, roping Himeru, and later Mao and Rei into it. He ends up as leader of ex fine and the one to draft up the idea of the Eccentrics. Both Himeru and Mao were somewhat involved in that, like how c!Tsumugi was. The original 3 were supposed to be Nagisa, Rinne, and Leo.

Himeru was the one to suggest Sora.

Sora was... a bit of an outcast. He came into his first year and was pretty quickly alienated and was bullied by a lot of the students. He's found by Hinata later on. The two quickly become best friends and Hinata gets people to back off on bullying Sora. They form Ra*bits, one of the few units from the school at the time.

Sora was known to be good at what he does, just a little odd. Himeru chose him for that reason, although he wasn't aware of the bullying the kid had to deal with.

Mao suggests Mayoi, after accidentally finding the Secret Room.

Mayoi spent a lot of time in that room and Mao didn't even know he existed until then. He used the room as his little corner and it was full to the brim with stuff he made, particularly, outfits and dioramas. Mao was impressed, and he felt that Mayoi could probably be a good candidate.

The first Eccentrics meeting went... interesting. Rinne and Leo fought, Nagisa tried to mediate while trying to help the rather scared Sora and Mayoi. The two didn't stop bickering until they realized they made Sora cry and were like "oh shit."

They eventually warmed up to each other, though, becoming a bit of a family.

Most of them were unaware that they were about to be vilified by fine.

The first to go down was Sora. Well... technically Hinata.

As the student body got more hostile against the Eccentrics, they decided to target the person they were kind of already targeting before this whole thing. They saw the fact that pretty much no one was doing anything as confirmation that this was okay.

The Ra*bits duo were attacked in the hallways one day. Hinata was injured the most, Sora being pulled away by some of the other Eccentrics as they tried to stop the fighting. They succeeded, but too late. Hinata is later hospitalized and the Eccentrics learn he's in a coma.

Sora is distraught and basically pulls a Shu. He starts talking in 3rd person around here, as a way to distance "himself" from the person who was unable to save his best friend from the people who were after "him" originally.

Himeru and Rei are furious at Tatsumi for not stepping in before things go that bad. Himeru shouts at Tatsumi and breaking off their friendship. He blamed Tatsumi for being both the indirect cause of Hinata's hospitalization and the person encouraging the students to be this violent.

= = =

Mayoi is desperate to fix all of this and stop the harassment they're getting. He feels this whole thing is unjust. He pulls a Natsume, basically, as well as disappearing soon after Sora.

= = =

One of the people watching this whole thing unfold changes their opinions on the Eccentrics and Fine. Tsumugi, who had overheard Himeru and Tatsumi's argument, reaches out to the Eccentrics a little after the Incident, offering to help them.

Nagisa, figured out what Tatsumi was doing, tells Tsumugi it. At this point, the other Eccentrics are unaware, although Rinne and Leo are sort of suspicious about what Nagisa knows. Tsumugi ends up helping Sora and Mayoi as the chaos in the school gets worse around them.

= = =

The final battle against the Eccentrics and Fine happens, and Leo is chosen to be the one who fights against Fine. Nagisa tells him a week before all of this happens. Leo agrees to loose on purpose despite Rinne's protests. Mayoi shows up for the live, but Sora doesn't.

= = =

Going back to the beginning, Mao was originally intrigued when he learned about the three original Eccentrics. He brought up how he wasn't sure they would get along.

Nagisa was known to be a "god" of sorts and was highly respected. People knew about his connection to the Godfather and all.

Rinne was known as a clown, a person who was painted as "the eccentric outsider" when he first came to the school and have just been acting how people expect him to be.

Leo was known to be a genius composer and he was someone Mao admired a lot. Mao wasn't super sure about how this whole thing was going to go down, and he wasn't sure how he would feel about seeing Leo defeated. He didn't want to hurt him, but he felt like Leo could handle it, so he let it happen.

This leads up to the last live. Rei and Himeru are well ready to leave, but Mao is unsure. He's.. unaware he's being dismissed after that live. Leo gives Mao a little talk and enough confidence to get through that live.

Leo and his partner, Tsukasa, loose, and the War ends.

After the last live, Tatsumi is distraught. He pushed away Mao out of fear, feeling like what Himeru and Rei said were right and he doesn't feel deserving of a "hero" title some of the students have given him. He doesn't feel deserving of being student council leader. He doesn't feel deserving of being an idol.

He would've ended it all on that rooftop if Arashi hadn't been on there at the time and stopped him.

Arashi, another neutral bystander like Tsumugi was, had seen the whole thing unfold. She, originally, was against Fine after seeing what they let the student body do to Hinata. She later learns that, despite the rumors of the argument between Himeru and Tatsumi, it wasn't planned. They didn't want to do that, but Tatsumi was afraid that if he stopped them from doing whatever, the revolution wouldn't be successful.

She forgives Tatsumi for what he did and convinces him that he's worth something, still.

Other stuff:

Leo and Mao later find each other and start up Ryusetai

Arashi and Tatsumi are the original members of new Fine. Shu and Hajime join later on

Yuuta comes in the next year, posed at Hinata. Sora catches on almost instantly but they promised to make it work. Ra*bits is revived and gain two new members, Aira and Tori.

Because of Rei having been through the War, he's able to do more effective damage control when the Reimei revolt happens.

Himeru leaves to Reimei as well, later forming 2wink with Kaname

Realizes his mistake as soon as he calms down. He's vulnerable during the heat of the moment, and because of that weakness he hurts you. He cares for you, he really does, so immediately he goes to you and apologizes and admits that he was in the wrong. So please accept it, because the poor man keeps breaking his heart over your tear-stricken face. Definitely will need some hugs and cuddles and needs you reassuring him that you still love the man.

The day same sex marriage is legalized in Japan in the ES universe:

Everyone got to watch Wataru propose to Eichi publicly... AGAIN. Except this time they're immediately gonna escorted by Eichi's lawyers and Eichi's family's lawyer afterwards. Eichi's leaving everything to Tori he doesn't need heirs, but there's still a whole lots of legal complications.

Sena takes a job overseas and leave the country to avoid making a decision.

Mao locks himself in the student council office as he considers how to answer Ritsu.

Kaoru panics about confessing to Anzu again and Koga's like "but het marriage has always been legal??" And Kaoru's like "you don't understand everyone's proposing left and right" and ends up confessing to Anzu that he might be bi?? Maybe?? And Anzu pets his head reassuringly like "I don't know why you're telling me this but I really gotta go check on Mao right now, he has locked himself in the student council office for over 24 hours."

Rinne and Hiiro are like (independently) "wait a minute, men couldn't get married before over here? Are none of your parents married? Do you people not have fathers?"

Ibara got Trap for You playing everywhere and launched new Eve merch to celebrate this milestone. No official statements have been made and Ibara's blocking all interviews for now. It only hit Jun a few weeks later when subtle congratulations from co-workers starts to pile on. "Wait a minute... does everyone think Ohii-san and I are married??" And well... he never agreed to it but he's not about to deny it.

Kohaku's like "I don't know why everyone's panicking... You all know that same sex marriage will still be legal tomorrow... right?" This falls on deaf ears.

Now I'll try to explain what even the hell happened,,,

(putting under cut because its gonna be LONG)

It all started with laly wondering if enstars fandom would exist in enstars world. I was like "yeah kinda like with k-pop" and we started thinking about who in es would write/read fics of what. Doesn't affect the dorms change just yet but i need to share these hcs:

- Kohaku knows everything about ships (because Aira dragged him in the enstars fandom hellhole) and once accidentally sent HiMERU a HiMERU x Tatsumi fanart instead of a document for work

- Mika reads ALL the Shumika fics

- Aira anonymously writes Hiiro/Kohaku x Reader fics except the reader is actually him because he doesn't have the guts to write actual KoHiiAi. Kohaku once recognize Aira writing style in a fic and ask him about it and Aira is immediately like "noooOOOO I DON'T SEE WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT AT ALL"

- Leo hears about Izuleo at one point so he decides to check it out and read fics. And he creates himself an account to write Izuleo fics (that are more like poems-musical writing or something). And now he's trying his best to keep Izumi away from fics because he WILL recognize Leo's style. But the rest of knights ends up learning about Leo's fics and now they use it to blackmail him

- Aira also write Tatsumayo btw

- And now the hc that provokes the dorm changes...Aira also wrote like 3 Rei x Eichi enemies to lovers fics. Rei found it and he knows it has to be Aira because the situations described are way too accurate so it has to be their roommate

Aira: I don't feel safe in my dorm anymore...

Anzu: Why?

Rei, who read entirely the Rei x Eichi smut Aira wrote: ......

Rei spent a week just staring menacingly at him

Koga finds the fic and suddenly everyone in ES has read it (they dont know its Aira who wrote it though)

So Aira, fearing for his life, decides to switch dorms. He first ends up in Hiiro's, with Hinata and Niki

Meanwhile Rei and Eichi are left alone

They stare awkwardly at each other for two days then try to murder each other in their sleep

Eichi ends up paying ES to be in Wataru's dorm (and Rei to not be in Ritsu's)

Mama get kicked out of Wataru's dorm because 5 people is too much, so Leo ends up taking him in his dorm

Suddenly Tori (and Yuzuru) kicked out Subaru and Sora from Wataei's dorm. Now all of fine shares a dorm

Since everyone are changing dorms and its hell and ES doesnt know what to do anymore Hiyori takes action and switches to Jun's (and Kohaku's) dorm. Kohaku, refusing to third-wheel them, joins Hiiai in their dorm, but before he can Tsukasa kidnaps him a second time so he goes to autistic dorm instead

Hiyori starts trying to pay ES so Eichi isn't in Wataru's dorm. But Eichi pay ES too. ES will never have financial problems again

Anyway so yeah at this point ES gives up on keeping order in the dorms and now everyone can go sleep wherever the fuck they want

So HiMERU break in Tatsumi's dorm to kill him scare him

Now Tatsumi decided he was safer in Mayoi's dorm

Koga: Great I have a dorm all for myself and Leon now!

Rei: *enters chat*

Koga: DARN IT

(Rei and Koga shares a dorm now)

One day, Midori look at Kaoru and Yuta, visibly fucking exhausted from this situation

(Midori got kicked out of Ibara's dorm by Nagisa)

Izumi regularly tries to get in Makoto's dorm

Ritsu use this occasion to take his place in Mao's dorm

(Mao: Wait but this is Izumi's bed-

Ritsu: Nope. Not anymore. It's mine now. I live here now.

Pov: Ritsu actually doesn't even use Izumi's bed he sleeps with Mao)

But Makoto won't let Izumi in (and he got Chiaki and Adonis to protect him) so now he's homeless

Izumi: *homeless*

Leo: Hi

Izumi: Nope

Leo: *stay there*

Izumi, who just tried to get in any dorm without success because of his kidnapper reputation: Hey Leo can i stay at your dorm a little

Natsume takes his chance and goes to Sora's and Subaru's dorm

Shu stare at Mao and Ritsu sleeping together, stare at Kuro, and goes: Let's get in Mika's dorm already

Mika is happiest man alive

Kuro: Damn now I'm left alone to third wheel these two *looks at Keito*

Kuro joins Keito's dorm

Souma propose they switch room so Akatsuki is complete and Hokuto just doesn't give a shit about it so he accept (Hokuto just doesn't care anymore at this point)

Mayoi took Shinobu in his room

Tatsumi isn't sure how much Shinobu agreed to come but now he's here he seem okay with it

Hajime is now chilling with Akatsuki, while Tomoya decides to ignore the chaos as there's suddenly two more people in the dorm he shares with Mayoi

Kanata goes in Chiaki's dorm and Rinne's like "now i'm alone :/"

Suddenly Hinata get kicked out and forcefully thrown in his brother's dorm (Rinne be like: Brother + Bf + Gf of brother? Yeah that's my dorm)

Aira convinces Hiiro to take one of the new empty dorms because he SWEARS to god if he's called "Hiiro's little gf" ONE MORE FUCKING TIME-

So now Rinniki are left alone

Rinne is happy

Niki is not (begged Aira to not leave him alone with that man)

Now Niki begs HiMERU to move in their dorm but each time he's straight up "No."

Also Kohaku cutely moves to Hiiai dorm so the poly babies are complete. Except Tsukasa follows him. Oh well

Niki runs aways from Rinne and joins Hokuto

But Rinne joins them anyway afterwards

Niki: At least I'm not alone anymore

Hokuto: *dead inside at this point*

Hokuto decide to go in a room ALL ALONE and to pay ES so he has peace. Now only Trickstar is allowed to come in his dorm but they don't stay Hokuto force them to get out

And. That's it. This is very messy and probably complicated to understand so all you need to know is congrats to gender dorm for being the only og dorm surviving! You're too perfect to be changed

idk if were allowed to do propaganda for the enstarsblr yearbook but either way i desperately need the public to know about my koga plight . its entirely possible i am Not the unluckiest kogaP in existence but it does sure feel like it.

anyways throwback to when i pulled for prison breaker koga like 200 times right after starting enstars for the first time and grinding out every last mission i could for dia bc the game decided to launch a koga scout right after i started playing and didnt get him.

and then when i finally pulled his fs1 after a year of playing right afterwards i accidentally lost my whole account.

and then when band bb koga came out (right after i spent most of my dia on getting 4/5 of the easter shuffle cards) and i used some birthday money to pull for him around 200 times and still did not get him.

and then kogas global exclusive came out right after this and i did not get him because i was low on storage space and literally Could Not get enstars english or any other global server

and then when right before happyele announced the undead/crazyb cover song cards my phone entirely broke so i couldnt pull for them.

and then got so incredibly busy around the time his tanabata festival card came out and couldnt do the event. and then during this same time his shuffle card came out and i Also couldnt do the event.

and then when the second year graduation gacha came out i pulled around 50 times and got multiple 5 stars including the 5 star graduation yuzuru but not the 4 star graduation koga (i still do not have it)

and then when manga circle mao came out (my fav card in the game this far) i pulled for it about 20 times with the savings i had and did not get him.

and then not just back to back but OVERLAPPING with this FS2 koga came out and i also managed to pull about 20 times and did not get him either.

and then when the 2023 gacha reruns came out i saved incessantly for band bb koga again and pulled over 100 times and did not get him (again)

and then made up my mind that i was going to start saving for the UNDEAD climax event and managed to save a lot. and then bye bye buddy dropped and i HAD to do that one because i love double face.

and then the undead/crazy:b cover song cards went back on the gacha for a limited time and i pulled 10 times and got multiple reis and multiple rinnes and one (1) adonis and no koga

and then the 2wink climax got released and i had to do that event (i love 2wink) which killed 1k of my savings

and then kogas tour came out and i had to do that because i couldnt miss another free koga 5 star

and then maos tour came out and i had to do that because mao is my second favorite character

and then the undead climax came out finally and i almost missed the cutoff for finishing the event because im so busy with school (per the november usual, it seems)

and all in this time

- missing two koga 3 stars (gacha)

- missing 5 koga 4 stars (two gacha, three anniversary)

- missing FOUR koga 5 stars (his event 5 star and THREE gachas)

- have obtained all of his event cards other than his 5 star due to sheer willpower (event memorial tokens) because his gachas all hate me

InuYasha: Found it on Netflix and became a huge fan within 2 episodes.

Ranma 1/2: After Inuyasha I craved more RW so I found Ranma on Hulu (Without even knowing it was the same author I just thought the art style was similar 💀) I wasn't the smartest cookie...

MAO: I was looking for an Inuyasha manga in a Kinokuniya store and happened to be there on the release day of MAO in English, there was a whole table dedicated to Rumiko and I found the manga that changed my life forever 🫶🏻

Mermaid Saga: Ok ngl when I first bought it at Barnes and Nobles I got terrified and didn't pick up the book for like 6 months...

Maison Ikkoku: My mom was a huge fan and had some books so I read them with her after finding out it was a RW book...

Urusei Yatsura: Ok so I heard about it all my life because my fam LOVES it but I never read it for some reason until like 8 months ago XD

okay enstars instruments headcanons (this is not all of the characters just ones i felt like doing)

eichi: plays low-effort percussion. tried flute once and could not keep up with it. unfortunate truly. plays a mean xylophone on his good days though.

wataru: probably has basic knowledge in like. every instrument but specializes in flute because he can mimic his pigeons with it. bonus points that eichi loves it.

tori: wants so so bad to play flute but got stuck with the clarinet

yuzuru: learned clarinet so he could help tori, but i think it would be fun if he also did jazz clarinet in his spare time

subaru: this boy plays trumpet and is so annoying about it gdbless

mao: he's in bband right he plays guitar? probably also learned piano or something at some point but its very rusty

makoto: this guy really goes ham on the keyboard BUT cannot for the life of him play a normal piano

chiaki: touched a guitar once and the string broke and he has never been the same since

kanata: plays exclusively smooth jazz on a soprano sax

hiiro: one man band type of guy. little bit of everything going on there

aira: got jealous of hiiro being able to play instruments really well so soon after picking them up so he was determined to get better than him in one specific instrument and it was absolutely not one that he could handle (tuba/baritone) (hiiro has to help him with the sousaphone once and aira decides to just stick with baritone)

hiyori: flute and is one of those people who can beat-box with it

jun: puts up with hiyori's flute beat-boxing

shu: violin + viola and will get angry at you if you dont know the difference

mika: picked up violin because of shu but has a completely different style to him. also can fiddle like nobody's business

rinne: trumpet, sax, trombone, anything jazzy. probably recorded some of their backing tracks himself in their early days

himeru: classically trained on piano but never shows it off until rinne begs him to one day bc he overheard meru tapping away when he thought nobody was around

kaoru: was not playing that guitar in sustain memories we know this. koga does not let him near his guitars ever at all the one in sustain memories was on loan and at least two strings snapped on him. would love to have him learn like clarinet or something and incorporate that into their music because i think it would be neat

mitsuru: any wind instrument that lets him do those long runs of sixteenth notes. never gets his fingers tangled while doing them

keito: probably learned shamisen at some point but its like his temple duties and got put on the back burner

kuro: tenor saxophone

leo: also dabbles in a little of everything but is best on piano

izumi: flute or clarinet, but not both. flute because it matches the ethereal aesthetic and clarinet because it has a fuller sound

sora: he's the conductor of the es orchestra actually

this au did not start with the Agency. but the very Second thought I had about it was:

here’s part 1 of 5 of my mediocre, slightly inaccurate, horribly blurry diagrams. (in my defense i got the enstars icons from one of the appellations pages)

Madara founded the agency after finding Leo (somehow) and it grew from there. (think origins of the detective agency)

Leo is a prodigy detective but it’s like a hit-or-miss whether he’ll help on regular cases which is why the agency is A Whole Thing

Kanata and Madara were childhood friends like in canon, including the cult thing. Kanata’s ability has the healing element of Thou Shalt Not Die, but instead of the catch being that the victim had to be half-dead, kanata either has to use water to heal them, or consume some of their blood. (slight reference to stuff from meteor impact because i think it fits thematically with the bsd setting)

kanata and madara lost touch with the beginning of the great war (same war as in bsd canon) but eventually reconnected and kanata joined the agency

ok. heres one of the reasons i called this slightly inaccurate. yall need to know that when i make aus its never exactly 1:1 with the characters. example in question: ritsumao. just think... their normal dynamic in enstars canon, but they join the agency instead of becoming idols. ritsu uses light snow to pretend he’s working and mao always slaps him to dispel the illusion

trickstar are just  there. theyre like the background workers of the agency

anzu is haruno because shes  potentially plot relevant (do not ask me who natsume-sensei/mii-chan is i do not fucking know. probably the godfather)

HiMERU honestly fits the Normal Guy (actually has problems). that’s part of why he’s kunikida. the other part of why is rinne.

Rinne is ex-mafia because he’s dazai here and im not making a completely new plot, thats why its a bsd au and not something totally different. He uses mafia money to gamble and everyone is all like Where Does He Get The Money??? he spends half his work hours annoying HiMERU and the other half annoying Niki.

Sora is just some kid. he introduces Leo to video games and everyone watches with trepidation (it actually makes Leo more productive)

Kohaku... is sort of ex-mafia. His family operates a highly successful business in killing people. Kohaku has never killed anyone. In the interests of the mafia, they send him to assassinate Madara. he gets offered a job instead.

Tsukasa goes after Kohaku to get him to return and ends up... also getting a job.

And Cafe Cinnamon:

Niki just works here. He doesn’t get paid to deal with all this shit. (he does get free total access to the kitchen at all times.)

Aira joins later (more on that in part 3). He helps Niki out around the cafe and ends up entangled in the agency’s problems way more often than he would like.
