Don’t say that! I love your writing so much!!! There’s nothing wrong with sticking to canon, and the way you write all the characters is amazing! You have such great characterization and the way you write emotions is just incredible!

Lower Decks isn't funny. I'm sorry, I tried to like it, I wholeheartedly believe that animation is the best medium for doing experimental stuff with Star Trek, but Prodigy is right there!! Lower Decks is just... character does something weird and cruel while swearing loudly, we're supposed to laugh. Character mentions a thing that happened in Star Trek once, we laugh because we remember watching Star Trek. Except I don't laugh, because to me none of those things are jokes. Yes I know I sound like my grandfather.

Oh man so many things!! Trying to think of what I've looked for recently and been disappointed... obviously there's the complete lack of Chakotay/Neelix content, and a disappointing dirth of both Julian/Martok and Julian/Worf content. Recently a friend sent me searching for a very particular type of Julian/Sisko content and I was sorely disappointed. Much love to folks writing that as a loving, healing relationship. I could not understand less, but you do you. But why can I not find anything that plays into the power dynamic there? Sisko as the captain, yeah, but Julian as the CMO - the one person on this station who can Order the captain to do anything? For that matter, there's not enough Sisko/Kira power struggle. Actually now that I type it out, those last two would also work especially well as & rather than / fics. Can someone get on that please
