hey- i’m an alcoholic. today is my first time trying to get help and figure it out. i’ve been looking on tumblr for people that are going through the same stuff as me and i saw your post about not drinking for your cat. that was really meaningful to me and i hope things get easier for you soon. remember your cat loves you no matter what

🥺 this is so kind... i relapsed last night and i dont intend to stop but... this still means a lot... to know someone going through similar things to me found comfort in my experiences and... brought that comfort back to me...

i get really self conscious about beinf a bad cat parent, worrying my cat is sad or whatever but... no matter how much drugs i do while locked alone in my room, he's always happy. happy to see me, wanting pets, especially while he eats and before i go to sleep... he's a happy cat and he loves me no matter how much of an addict i am because. im still a good cat parent... just a sick one.

had a delicious omelette with bell pepper and melted cheese for breakfast, drank green tea with honey from my favorite mug that i've had since childhood, went for a walk around the lake during a light snow shower while listening to music, smiled at strangers and received smiles back, encountered ducks, geese, a great egret and a squirrel, got into comfortable clothes as soon as i got home, warmed myself up with a big mug of hot chocolate and some cookies 🩷
