"Hey." Komaeda mumbles, blinking as you show up at closing hours. "Aren't you not done yet?"

"Do you have any blue asters?" You hum. "A client wants one on their leg."

Komaeda pulls the one from his personal vase, handing it to you as you thank him with a wave. Maybe it's for the traveling couple that was visiting for a while. It's sweet, he thinks. Ah, perhaps he should prepare you a small bouquet. You won't ask him what it means, but he's sure you'll find the meaning online when you think he's resting.

So, he gets to work, fingers snipping at the flowers as he wraps them into a bouquet.

You turn your head at the chime of the door opening, cleaning up for the night.

"Hi." He hums, hiding the flowers behind his back as you press a kiss to his cheek.

"Were you waiting for me?"

"No. I had a little something to do."

"Was the little something those flowers behind your back? Hm? What is it... devotion, eternity... faithfulness?"

Komaeda pouts, handing the flowers to you with a gentle huff. "When did you find out?"

"If you're a florist, shouldn't I know by default?"

You tell Komaeda eventually that it's because your client had received a similar bouquet for her engagement.

haven't been studying Arabic again but i've been trying to recall as much of what i already learned. random words i learned while in class like dajaj (chicken? i think?) or numbers (1-8 consistently, but i forget 9 and 10 easily). trying to recall letters. vowels and most of the really basic letters i can remember, but sometimes i see what i assume is maybe a "p" or a "g" and we didn't practice those a lot.

it's a really beautiful language and i was very impressed with how easy the script was to learn (first time i was able to actually learn another alphabet. tried to learn cyrillic a dozen times unsuccessfully). i used to practice writing the script by spelling names of myself, people i knew, or characters i liked. i have trouble with some of the little different pronunciation things (the long a alif vs the short a marked by a diacritical; q vs k).

i miss my Arabic class and my professor :( she was so nice. sometimes she brought tea or coffee for the class since it was so late at night. i don't like tea or coffee but i appreciated the kindness and generosity.
