I’m so happy to hear this! So getting into One Piece definitely works both ways! I think both the anime & manga have their reasonings for why u should start with one over the other. The anime has its amazing voice acting & (especially in Wano) AMAZING animation. I’m a bit partial to the anime bc that’s how I started, however, that being said, the manga is a lot better. Pacing & overall writing wise, u really can’t go wrong w the manga

I would say my suggestion is to read the manga, but definitely watch the impactful scenes from the anime maybe after you’ve already seen them in the manga. Even in the first 40 episodes there is a HUGE scene that still makes me tear up every time I watch it in the anime bc the voice acting is 1000000/10

The manga is not only paced better, but it has cover stories that don’t get animated ! & cover stories that are actually ?? Quite important ?? Like sometimes they’re for jokes, but a lot of the times they build the world even further & lets u see what certain characters may be up to while the straw hats are at “X” location

But !! Do feel free to come into my ask box throughout ur read/or watch through of one piece !!! I lovvveeeee seeing ppl get into the series so much. I really hope u enjoy it bc I promise u, the number of chapters may look scary now, but soon ur gonna realize that there’s just not enough & want more

Eddie owning a record shop✨

An: okay so this was inspired by my post!! So I decided to write some little headcanons for it!! Hope u enjoy 🥺🫶🏻

Eddie would definitely manage a record store in his late 20s/early 30s

If things with his band didn’t take off like he wanted them to, then owning a record shop would be the only thing I can like envision him doing for work

He’d call his store “upside down records” you know bc after everything he endured, it’s only necessary

It’d be located where the Hawkins Post is

that little area of shops and stuff, nothing too big just very local and friendly

Chrissy is obviously there too, backing him up and supporting his business in whatever way she can

I don’t think she would work there because I can see her doing some sort of freelance work (maybe modeling bc she’s gorg??) and she’d also have to mange that alongside taking care of their daughter 🫶🏻

So his employees would obviously just be a bunch of teens

He’d have hippies, goths, punks, and a lot of grunge kids cuz you know it’s the 90s now

But overall his store is super diverse in terms of music and he prefers it that way

Eddie would be a super chill laidback manager and the one that all his staff can come to without feeling scared

Honestly, he’s more a dad to these people than a manager

In the break room, he always leaves coffee and sometimes things that Chrissy baked for whoever’s coming in to work that day

The music that plays in the store isn’t broadcasted from the radio, but instead it’s a very special mixtape that includes songs that every staff member picked

He’d have these two female employees that are besties, both in their teens, who are total hippies

Meaning, they loveeeee 70s music and anything related to it and of course, they’re stoners

Eddie always finds them smoking out back and sometimes he’ll even join them before jokingly yelling at them to get back to work

He’s just that cool

The store wouldn’t just sell records and CDs, but also games like D&D

Chrissy, being Eddie’s beloved wife, would be praised there

Some of them would ask “can mrs munson work here too?”

It’s always the conversation of Eddie and Chrissys dinner and it makes Chrissy rlly happy to know how good Eddie’s doing in terms of managing

So on the days that she decides to stop by, of course with their little bundle of joy, everyone is so happy to see them

Eddie smiles, not just because of how proud he is of himself, but because of everything that he has

HIIII sflr anon thank you for liking my works 🫂 hmmm it's something that really used to bother me a lot when i wrote other stuff on tumblr to the extent that i would ask people not to like it if they werent gna rb it LOL...but now that i mainly use twitter (where likes/qrts r more common than rts) i feel like it doesn't affect me as much and it's not rlly something i notice personally...? that being said pls do try to rb any writing u enjoy (not just from me) bc it helps the work to reach more people and potential readers <3

however i WILL say that the things which end up affecting/worrying me r like whether people leave reviews/comments or tags ! especially if they were excited for the preview / i've seen their comments on my other works, i always anticipate the possibility of seeing them come back (and conversely if they don't i hope it doesn't mean my newest work was disappointing LOL) the thoughts r alw my favorites to read and receive moreso than the total number of notes on any post 🫶🏻

hii sorry for not answering this earlier, i woke up this morning and my head was hurting really bad so i slept until i had to go to work, worked until 10:30ish got food, came home and now it hurts again. i think it’s the cold weather :/
