Improving some old HGS redesigns I did a few years ago

Since I'm back at that stage for some reasons I can say for certain I've definitely done a lot of redesigns of these characters, of course, not all of them were good, so I'm taking four of them that I never posted and pointing out where I messed up and trying to figure out what to do next . Rosemary - I feel like I made her hair too complex, It got so complex I made a chart with all the items in it. I need to trim the list down. I'm not completely sure I like the bangs I gave her. Prolly keeping the scars but I don't like the line weight I gave them. Also I NEED to bulk up her arms to show off her strength

(There's 20 items here total, god almighty I'm gonna have a stroke, gonna have to trim the fat the moment I draw her again)

Sage - it's just I've updated the lore on witches so I need to add blue into her eyes. I'll make the braids chunkier so I don't have to draw tiny "Split Hearts". The rose and lavender need to be brighter since the lavender can barely be seen in her hat, might change some colors too. maybe desaturate the hat a bit too.

Parsley - Parsley definitely needs more of an overhaul. No orange on the boots. Give the belt done loops to slide through, gonna have to change up the belt color too. Also gonna add hair to her ears for sure. Might give her back her black brows because I forgot those. May re-redesign eyes too. Also. Not sure if the suspenders were a good idea. I wanted to connect it back to her causal outfit, but it looks like of awkward here. Maybe it just needs to be a different color? (And ACTUALLY attached to the belt?)

Thyme -Honestly the biggest flaw with Thyme is the shoes and that green. Also I'm not gonna use that logo for the shirt so it's outdated. I think I'll replace the green with gold Greek style sandles. These shoes aren't bad, they just don't fit. Maybe her old shoes can get recycled into something she wears from the fairy woods with her Giant Elf family and such. Also getting rid of the extra bandage on the leg.

Not my best redesigns, but some elements I would definitely keep. Reminder that not every piece of art or first draft design is gonna be a banger and that's fine!

theyre both pokemon ocs, w clem specifically being a mash up of being a minecraft storymode oc and a pokemon oc

[DATA EXPUNGED] is the Champion of Arceus n is v ? theatrical ? fancy ? either way he speaks like its the early 1800s, i also dont have much of a backstory for him since i created him like, 4 days ago n im VERY slow at giving ocs backstories

clementine on the other hand ive been making a backstory for several months so i have a lot to say but i wont so to sum up her backstory (in a way thats prolly shit ngl) its:

clem n her (still unnamed n undeveloped) friends go to a con, they win, they go to a post con festival, clem meets some guy, the same guy clem meets makes the wither storm, she defeats it but is v traumatized from it, she becomes a mayor of a town at some point but she ends up running away from kalos to kanto

[Is not familiar with the Pokémon storylines you're talking about and thus has nothing to comment on it, so apologies if that is relevant to the review]

I'm assuming [DATA EXPUNGED] isn't, at least in the current state of things, related to Clementines story at all?

I'll tackle [DATA EXPUNGED] first!

Very solid color scheme, I think the dark skin tone fits perfectly with black white and gold, especially since the shirt (top?) is white. The accessories and face patterns really give off a fancy, perhaps priest like aesthetic and it makes the whole collective come across as very distinguished. Supernatural too, considering the one white eye and again, face patterns, although it leaves some ambiguity since this could also just be a very fancy cultural getup. I have to say though, I'd probably have made the roses some other color: though the black is strong and very cool, you can't really see them from the black hair and thus it sorta muddies the effect and makes it look more like the character is wearing some headgarment rather than a rose crown. Unfortunately, since this is a picrew, i can't say much for more core aspects of the design like the shape of the face, eyes and nose, which I consider very essential aspects of designing human characters. This is no fault of yours, as I said, picrews can be limiting in this aspect.

Judging by the art style though I'm going to guess this character is meant to have a strong angular face and jawline with a straight, square nose. Strong but elegant brows, I assume? The beauty mark on his jaw though is a very nice touch! Gives some uniqueness and personality to the otherwise very conformed, untouched image the character has.

The character strikes me as a very learned, wise personality who knows things beyond this world, and I can definitely see that he'd speak more theatrically, like a preacher or professor (the book and quill help this).

If the character ever ends up drawn by free hand, here's things I'd suggest adjusting or adding to [DATA EXPUNGED]: Facial traits. I think a strong nose with a bit of a greek shape would do wonders for a theatrical, regal looking character like him, and if the angular jawline is intended, keep that!! Depending on age (or how dramatic you want him to look), I'd also suggest more visible cheekbones perhaps? Strong brows and serious eyes would contribute to this vibe but depending on of course where you take this character, you can change things to suit that! For what I'm suggesting here, the character feels like a sort of apocalypse preacher person who is more interested in studies and has a tendency to push people away. However you could also easily go a softer route with him as well but I think, if you do, I'd still keep the angular dramatic facial features. The rest of my suggestions would just be to add maybe the smallest bit more decoration or jewelry, maybe something with a more personal touch? Earrings, rings, ect. I feel like he'd be the type to carry around some very sentimental piece of jewelry or other item, something he holds in great value. He doesn't seem like he'd pretty up just for appearance sake. Also I feel like sideburns or some stray hair whispies would add a fun little touch that could divert from the more serious groomed image the character gives, just something to create uniqueness in general. Doesn't have to be those exact things I suggested.

Then Clementine!

Design is simple but functional. Personally I think she could also use a bit more to make her less generic ykno? To be fair this could also be a fault of whatever you used to make these images (not sure if that's a picrew or some other dollmaker thing). I like the amount of change you have between the before and after states, especially liking the touch of her expression changing, even though its not related to design here lol. The first one with the simple, a bit girlish and old timey dress works well with the half up hairstyle and simplistic outfit to establish a younger character who's out to see the world. The two things diverting from this image are the sword and maybe(?) her being barefoot. The sword evokes imagery of either someone who seems more innocent or naive but turns out to also have sharp, honed skills. OR a strapping enthusiast who is looking for adventure and her place in the world, with only the clothes on her back and this sword she found (lighthearted tone). The barefoot aspect also gives a bit of a rural vibe, of being more in touch with nature. Which is something the After™ version contrasts, with a more modern feeling outfit, and the loss of the sword.

I really like her having a longer hairstyle in the latter one, with the braids/dreads. Hairstyle changes are a great way to communicate something in a character so it fits! It feels more subdued mature while still keeping a bit of that openness and freedom, with the dreads hanging freely, and hey, still being in a half up style! Good one!

I'd suggest maybe adding more signs of experience or wear on the latter version, just to communicate her having gone through something major, even traumatic. Scars or something like more visible eyebags, or something to show a more scuffed up appearance ykno? You could also make her more stocky and built, or maybe a bit chubbier in the latter, bc to me it feels like a slightly older version of the character and so, getting more built feels appropriate for that.

Overall just add more simple, small touches to communicate personality more. I think the latter one is good at that but the first one feels more generic. If it's meant to be simple though, I understand! But still. Doesn't have to be anything major, could just be things like small accessories or things she's personalized for herself. Maybe In the first version she could have a little patched up clothing to show her outdoorsy lifestyle? If not, you could add something else, just a suggestion.

From a purely visual standpoint, [DATA EXPUNGED]'s design is lots more interesting and distinct looking, and I'd only really adjust the person under the clothing and accessories. For Clementine, I feel that she could use to stand out just a tad more. However I hugely appreciate them both being poc and also having natural hairstyles (both having dreads at some point) to it! Definitely helps make them more diverse, which is always a design plus!

plot call for saints & sinners event!! pls feel free to like and i'll hit you up, or alternatively feel free to dm first <3 like most people i will be prioritising shorter event threads, but I'm super excited for this and can't wait to hit the dash running with u guys :-) wcs and vibes of the night under the cut

quick tldr of raon's (unplanned) plans for the night include: getting ready with miss seryung herself, disappearing at the party almost immediately because (gasp) the reason she's attending is that she's trying to patch things up with her sister at last

read: one eviction, two weeks of job hunting and countless missed classes has screwed her head on fairly straight and she's trying to find peace amidst all the gossip girl mess

of course "finding peace" post aera-reconciliation means getting absolutely hammered for the sake of getting hammered -- see you on the dance floor (be there or be square!!!!!)

onto some suggested wcs but these are p vague/flexible!! raon's just doing raon things most of the night so expect your muse to be dragged into shenanigans

nothing like a quick argument to start things off! could be the result of a drunken altercation ie raon spills her drink on your muse accidentally or vice versa or bonus points if you're both sober and using alcohol as an excuse to get things off your chest that's been weighing on you for a while (prolly needs more plotting if its the latter)

nothing like versatility so she will be crying in the bathroom multiple times throughout the night (esp right after she has her heart to heart with aera; you catch her during one of those times and offer to lend an ear which she accepts and bulldozes into a spiral about everything going wrong in her life

mask fiasco 1 -- both of you mistake the other for someone else and let slip secrets that you shouldn't have

mask fiasco 2 -- you're handsy on the dance floor with each other and make promises both of you know you can't keep in the morning

designated drinking buddy around the beginning of the night -- anything she can do, you can do better (alternatively known as double it and give it to the next person)

smoking area halfway through the night when you're both x number of shots in -- she's left her lighter inside and asks to borrow yours but when you give it to her, she thinks it's a good time to kickstart a conversation about a) how out of place she feels in seoul b) the looming uncertainty of her future and c) how you look just as lonely as she feels

1am and a stomach full of alcohol means it's time to take a quick detour from the party and head to the nearest convenience store for melona. you find a shopping cart on the way and that's your ride back to the party because raon insists she's stronger than she looks and can wheel you easily

SO glad u asked<3, he's literally the guy I was hoping someone would ask me abt when I reblogged this lmaoo!!

He tied 1st place in "Most Blorbo" to me along with Geralt. Ur talking to a guy who when he: 1. got shot with the arrow on the barge, 2. temporarily left the hansa, and 3. melted, had to tearfully put the book down and mourn his (perceived) loss for several minutes lmaoo. I got sooo attached so fast.

In terms of justifications for some of the things I marked him as:

- Among everything else in the 1st bar(?) he's most definitely an "aspirational character" for me. I love how he's reflected on his actions in his youth and determined to make up for it/do better for those around him, he realizes he can never undo the things he's done but he still actively chooses to wake up and do good in his life and the lives of those he meets around him. He's the embodiment of humanity. Hes dedicated his immortal life to the benefit of mortals around him, I WISH I had half the drive and kindness he does. He reflected on his life and realized he needed to change. AND THEN HE DID. It's lowkey embarrassing to admit this, but I do legitimately want to be more like him in that regard.

- He IS just some guy, and that's what makes him so great. U look at him (not so much the CDPR design of him lol) and u think "oh that's just some guy" and he is!! but he's also the most complex, fruity guy ull ever meet.

- Everyone is the hansa would argue that he's "awful company" but to ME at least, he's an absolute ray of sunshine. Every time someone in the hansa would tell him to shut up I'd get so offended on his behalf. Who cares if he's annoying or wrong, the shit he's talking abt is genuinely fascinating and fun, u guys r just mean. Like yass king, monolog to me abt ur topic of the week, take as many pages of this book as u need to get ur point across, I don't mind<3 lmao.

- He's straight up universally beloved by all, characters and fans (barring vilgefortz but he doesn't get an opinion).

- I was tempted to mark him as more "untouched by history" than "traumatized" bc after that one excerpt in, I think LotL, where the robbers in the future burn Dandelions manuscripts of the hansa I figured not too many people would know abt him traveling with Geralt (as he'd prolly prefer seeing how he'd most likely still be around, what with being immortal and having regenerated from Styyga by that time) but his trauma and youth plays a bigger part in who he is.

-in terms of feelings he evokes,, as we can see, I've literally spent the entire post gushing abt him<3 lmaoo. Any chance to talk abt him and how great he is, I'll take.

- If twn even looks at him I'm going to act on those "powerful violent urges"

- He deserves FAR better treatment from both canon and fanon (I'll never get over how dirty cdpr did him with his character design and character choices. Plus a lot of the fandom has this really weird take on him being extremely sexual and domineering, esp in fanfic, which I'm not the biggest fan of)

- Not so much anymore, but back when the witcher really had a grip on me I had pages worth of crappy doodles on him and Geralt lmaoo. He's fun to draw and thinking back on it I should prolly start drawing him more again.

- I think everything in the "you want them to have" section kind of speaks for itself. I would like to see him deal with a bit more trauma in regards to Styyga and feelings for Geralt, but I'm just a sucker for gay angst lmaoo

- He found a family with the hansa, I just wish they could've stayed a family </3

- A "satisfying ending" for me would be taking the CDPR canon and having him come back to Geralt at corvo bianco after fucking of with Detlaff for a bit. I have sadly made my peace with the books melancholy ending, so mine and his happiness rests on the shoulders of headcanons I make abt the game (tho I do wish they had him show up again at the end of BaW after the main ending </3)

This is technically a repost but its been a while and I found no one last time, soooo.

Don’t interact with me if you’re a minor. I’m an adult. I have zero interest in chatting up kids, especially in private.

I’m spiritual kin. I’m only looking for other spiritual kin. I don't care what you are, if you share a source and find me tolerable, come at me, brah. Well--okay, one exception: no kin-for-funners.

This is not a fandom post. I'm trying my best not to be indexed into fandom tags.

Since this seems to matter a lot to those on the opposite end of the spectrum (and because I have zero interest making connections of any sort with people I have to walk on eggshells around): I am proship.

I'm secure enough in my personal beliefs to question and scrutinize them. While I believe I was once these blorbos in a different, past life, (alongside general feykin (the kind that will steal your name but keep a promise to the very letter to their own detriment) and therian feline,) I also acknowledge how batshit cray-cray that sounds. I have my mental gymnastics that I'll hold up to the light when the eggheads discover more concrete evidence about the nature of our universe :P

I think about those philosophical and spiritual things for fun when I get bored (which is a lot of the time).

Lastly, I am a roleplayer. It's separate from my kin stuff, duh, collaborative writing is a hobby--but I mix the two (in that I use kin mems as the basis for my portrayals), so if you see someone out there in the wild using any of these as "headcanons," that's prolly me. It's fun to play pretend as some wayward extension of yourself as if you were still them, you know?

What to Expect

If you do decide to say hi? Nothing. Don’t come at me with expectations. While I like to fancy "me" as being a mishmash blend of who I was and who I am, I still am very much who I currently am, for better or for worse.

Kindating or whatever is an automatic no. I'm an ace and a goblin anyway.

I should also make it very clear that I am bad at keeping in touch. Unless you make it a point to throw me memes or funnies or whatever every now and then until I warm up enough to feel like I can do the same without it annoying you, we probably won't be in contact for very long, if at all.

Ma/ /jora (as of 2023 this one may well simply be a soulbond as I first thought) The Moon incident was a display of blasphemy against the Fie/ /rce De/ /ity. His was the Moon; mine was the Sun. But, you know, bringing down the Sun would have made things a bit too quick, and that’s no fun. I viewed the Oni as a frienemy. The manga’s pre-story just feels right. I had experience with the Twili at some point. They used me/my mask to curse Ikana after some treaty or arrangement fell through, lol. This led to them getting banned banished from Termina.

Maj/ /Ora? We were troublesome forest spirits, then minor Twin Deities, that went batshit bonkers when some Goddess started encroaching and inadvertently, probably, stealing our followers(, we were often bad for their health, I guess). We were forced to become "one" when we were sealed away in that Mask by the Fierce Deity who shared a similar fate. :). We're still one in this life, I'm pretty sure. This could stand as a flimsy-whimsy explanation for why I've always felt like I should've have a twin.

Xu/ /e Ya/ /ng I had a set of blue-black glass vials that were probably not vials but that’s the only word I can think of to call them, do you think I know my glassware? They had etched-white designs near the top and were used to hold powdered herbs and poisons. Probably originated from a different country by trade. Then again, potatoes. I discovered the Mo Xua/ /nyu of my timeline stuffed his pants to make himself look bigger in certain areas, or to make himself look like he had one, at all. I don’t know which. The only clear memory I have of Xi/ /ao Xin/ /gchen is from our time in Y/ /i Ci/ /ty. Sunny day, the ruins of an old dock in the middle of a somewhat swampy forested area that had been a lake a long-ass time prior given the, you know, dock. He was laughing at something.

Ga/ /ster I distinctly remember rigging the microwave, coffee maker, and so on to explode or malfunction in order to observe how Al/ /phys and Sa/ /ns reacted to that kind of thing. If the song I listened to during one of my rare post-fix hallucinations is to be believed (and I have little else to go off of, so sure, why not) then my goal near the end and prior to erasure from my timeline was to Break Everything, Universally Speaking. I can only assume I went off the rails in my old age. Which in turn makes me think the Followers may have been a mystery science cult akin to Pythagoreanism that turned Jonestown. Or perhaps maybe not so Jonestown. Who knows.

Sn/ /ake Fr/ /uit I was a Chocobra that attained Cookie form via transformation magic and logic dictates that if that is possible, then so was becoming a Dragon. Lon/ /gan may or may not have annihilated my village and that may or may not have been a big reason for trying to get rid of them, and that incident may or may not have sparked the wanting to become a Dragon ordeal to begin with.

What / Who I’m Looking For

Canonmates, sourcemates, whatever. Kin twins are more than cool, too! Sometimes preferable! Let’s gush over our best boys and beloatheds like the hopeless fucks we are!

It's funny that some of the points Utsumi made clear only confirmed what I hced XD

This ended up being very long, so be sure to go hype the og post up, these are just my personal thoughts and ramblings about it XD

- she said that the Joe/Cherry/Adam relationship is shattered (I'm glad she addressed the problem) and since they're adults (ouch that hurt) it's not as easy to solve it. (we would have a lot of material for s2 then~)

- to no one's surprise, Tadashi taking the blame for Adam was just a test for him. I admit that during my first (rushed) sk8 watch I didn't immediately get it either (in the ep where he mentions it of course) (I did, though, when Adam said it wasn't true in ep 12), but that was probably the point. THE FUNNY THING IS that Tadashi didn't get it either, while the whole thing was... Just? Something to rile him up (as always...)??? Dense Tadashi IS canon. Or rather, dense Tadashi when it comes to Adam's feelings for him..... No wonder that man got frustrated and started venting on teenagers (sarcastic tone).

- speaking of venting! She made a very good point of saying that the Langa in ep 12 (the one that has been taught/reminded by Reki that skating is fun) is the only one who can teach that concept to Adam (and not, like, "any other Langa"). I beg you to go read op's translation for this because I found it so so cute that she encompassed and not denied any of the important relationships involved (eden and renga) this beautifully

- apparently, the ending catch me scene has happened very often, so much that Tadashi is used to rush to Ainosuke and Ainosuke is also very used to it (can they be more blatant than they already are?)

- Adam's ep 12 suit is actually designed using real downhill skaters suit as an inspiration (but then Utsumi likes her Adam so much that she gave him the heart-shaped hole in the back, and proceeded to talk about how Adam's back muscles are beautiful and amazing and also his hips and butt - Tadashi prolly agrees with her and it's a pity that 90% of the fandom hates a character this much when the original writer is so WHIPPED for him???)

- SPEAKING OF THIS, she literally said that she struggled with Tadashi's facial expressions a lot during the show (because he is a quiet character and doesn't convey his emotions on his face) but in the last infamous scene she had no doubts and it is meant to be an expression of JOY (antis what's good)

- SPEAKING OF THIS PT.2, she labels TadaAi as complicated characters, though I think that she actually means complex (she is also laughing in the interview, and Japanese is a high context language, like my first one, and more often than not when we call something complicated in a high context discussion we actually mean complex) (I'll try to be brief, but complicated bears a more negative accent, referring to something that is unnecessary difficult, while complex is more descriptive, meaning that something just has different layers which have several and various connections). However this is my very personal interpretation and feeling, from another high context language-speaking person, and absolutely not accurate. Also Japanese is a language that changes his grammar and words based on conversation tone and formality, so maybe she really did say the word complicated, but that's just how I decided to interpret it.

- also because in general, from every Utsumi interview I read (translated), I got the feeling that she always went defensive when talking about Adam, especially his Problematic Aspects and Relationships. She always seems preoccupied that her intentions with his character have not been thoroughly understood, and, well, she's not wrong!

1. fugio

the first scenario that popped into my head is that Fugo and Giorno go to the same university (for some reason Gio's parents can afford to send him there, idk he probably got financial aid or sth, and then after he killed them (😳 awkwardddd) he's probably using their life insurance in fear of it running out). and Fugo doesn't really care for Gio bc he's a rich boye and he has his quality™️ elite friend circle so why bother himself w a nobody. but in reality all of Fugo's friends are either only on a social level (u know those ppl who you're friends w but u won't necessarily have deep convos w them or choose to hang out w them n stuff), or they're fake and only hang out w him bc of his wealth & status, or bc their rich parents are friends. plus (im referring to the anime backstory here), after the scandal w that professor who sexually harassed him, many ppl secretly hate him and talk shit abt him behind his back due to homophobia.

but anyway, Fugo's plotting against all those biches :) so where does Giorno come in? Gio, being this innocent poor boy who doesn't have a home to go back to, lives on dorm. and let's just say Fugo does too bc he doesn't have the best relationship w his demanding parents, so he was overjoyed when he finally talked them into letting him move from home into the dorms instead. (side note he prolly doesn't Purge his parents bc he needs their money.) so Gio and Fugo know of each other, but not acquaintances or anything.

and then

one day when Fugo's either

running into trouble with some authority figure at school again

just minding his own business and planning his Purge targets

Gio walks in on him, and he's either like

"omg Fugo r u ok do u need help what happened"

"omg Fugo idk what happened between u and ur targets but Purging ain't good, pls reconsider"

and Fugo, having the short-ass fuse that he does (plus probably having his pride wounded and just general mistrust of the ppl around him spurring him on):

"stfu u know nothing about me, but now you've seen this i guess it wouldn't hurt to kill you too"

"stfu u know nothing about me, ur probably one of those happy asshats that have no need for Purges, reconsider?? haha the only thing i'll reconsider is if i'll add u to my kill list" (bc if Gio reports him or sth, Fugo & his fam can get into trouble, since his targets are probably rich and/or influential ppl, but it isn't Purge time yet, so it can be considered malicious intent and/or attempted murder i guess, and so anyone who has any beef w the Fugo fam can bring them down) (i know nothing abt law don't come for me)

and then Gio is like "fuck dis shit im out" and he skrts tf out of there, but sadly Fugo ain't lying 😔 the day of the Purge comes, and Giorno was just trying to barricade himself inside his dorm room when suddenly, Fugo pulls an FBI OPEN UP and breaks inside using all his high-tech weaponry n stuff (i'll share my hcs for chara design later!!). Gio is freaking out so he jumps out the window into the streets, even risking going outside during Purge just so he can get away, but oh 🅱️oy is Fugo stressed tonight. and he literally hunts Gio down and almost kills him

uNTIL!!!¡!

2. abbacchio & giorno:

(SORRY I JUST LOVE DADBACCHIO & GIORSON SO MUCH)

Abbacchio is tasked w hunting down a certain rogue criminal, so he's la-di-da cruising thru Naples to get to Bucci's house, when suddenly this fucking kid comes running up to him with his hair and clothes all messed up and tears running down his face, and is like "pls help me sir i beg u i just need somewhere to hide pls i don't want to do this i don't want to die" and Abba's like "fuq??" but then he hears manic laughter and chainsaws revving and shit, and the kid sniveling all over his crisp™️ Purge suit looks like he can explode with fear at any moment (and plus Abba understands that nobody would ever run up to another person for help during Purge like this, unless it's really their last option), so he sighs, "fine. get behind me."

the kid drops to his knees and Abba can't help but think "aaahhhh fucking dead weight", but he said he'd help, so that's what he's gonna do. now ANOTHER kid rounds the corner but he barely looks sane, he seems almost possessed by something. *fighting ensues* but being a professional cop Abba knocks the kid out cold w a few swift moves, and when he drops to the ground that crazy expression finally leaves his face. he's already wasted too much time, so Abba turns to Kid 1 and is like "go back home brat and dont get into trouble again", but Kid 1 is still a trembling mess on the ground, and he says "i don't have any home to go back to."

subconscious Abba's like "well that's between you and god" but he knows he's basically this kid's god now (besides, there can't possibly be a god that would let things like Purges happen), so he's like, "fine. get in the car and DON'T get in my way" but THEN Kid 1 points to the passed-out demon child, "but we can't leave him here"

A: "he was gonna KILL you!!"

K1: "i know but he didn't mean it, he was just not thinking straight"

A: "Purges ain't where ppl think str8 kid, besides if he didn't really wanna Purge he wouldn't have geared himself up that well"

K1: “but he’s not a bad person. please, if we leave him out here in this state he’ll be killed for sure.”

at this point Abbacchio can't understand wtf Kid 1 is thinking, but for the first time in years he finds some of the humanity he was hoping to regain in Purge, so he's like "fine. haul him into the backseat. but you're sitting with him bc i got my shit in the front. and if he wakes up you're dealing w it this time. cool?"

Kid 1 nods, and surprisingly he has enough strength to shove Kid 2 into the backseat & get in after him. Abba is trying to decide what he wanna do w these kids, when his phone suddenly beeps, and in comes a new message from his superiors, "yo dawg u gotta hurry up and kill that Bucciarati guy, we'd better not catch u slacking" and he's like "yo Kid 1, can u fight?"

"uh, a bit. why?"

"well, that's what you're gonna do for me in return for my protection."

anywhooooo i imagine that later on, Fugo wakes up like "ugh wtf hello concussions????" and he sees Gio standing over him, and he snaps into defensive mode, sitting up and shoving Gio away and everything. but then he sees that Gio's hands are empty, save for maybe a bottle of water and a towel, and somehow Fugo's own wounds are all cleaned and bandaged, and he groans:

"dude, what the fuck are you doing? did i pass out? did you find help?"

G: "you got hit over the head pretty hard, don't move so suddenly."

F: "haha yea thanks i can feel that myself, anyway wtf were you doing?"

G: "uhhhhh... abbacchio patched you up but your face was really grimy so he told me to clean you up, and maybe give you some water?"

F: "no. i mean like what the fuck were you doing????? braincells hello?? kill me! i should be dead!!! is Purge over?? did the sirens go off before you can finish me?"

he suddenly notices how Gio just recoils and sits there with his eyes squeezed shut as Fugo shouts at him and flings his arms around. but he's seen how Gio defended himself against him, so he knows this guy can fight and is no stranger to Purges. this is the first mystery his 152 IQ has encountered in a long time, so Fugo reaches out to get Gio's attention, but then Gio jumps and slaps his hand away so hard Fugo feels his bruised brain jar. he pulls back immediately, holding his hands up, palms forward, finally kind of able to pierce together what's going on inside the blond's mind:

"sorry. wasn't gonna attack you. just... wasn't sure if you were listening to me, so i tried to get your attention."

"i was."

"okay. sorry." Fugo tries, but Gio is already standing up and leaving, glassy green eyes looking anywhere but at him. "wait! Gior— ugh??"

he almost faceplants the ground again. where's my stupid-ass helmet???? i need to be on balance mode stat. but then Fugo feels two arms helping him up, and he looks up to see Gio, frowning in distaste but still supporting him all the same. he feels bad for asking (as if he hasn't bothered this poor guy enough): "uh, so, what exactly happened while i was passed out?"

oh, honey...

BUT PLOT SPOILERS SO THIS ENDS HERE!!!!!! xD

ya know i might actually go w fugio after all :00 but if i do end up writing this, it will span over 12 hours / 1 Purge only, so even if there are ships they'll probably only be implied, instead of madly into each other by the end of everything :P
