But if you're accepting requests, may I ask for some Enemies to Lovers with Itto x Fem!Reader? Like, the reader is friends with almost everyone in Inazuma but she does not get along with Itto at all... Until she sees some people throwing beans at him, wanting to harass him and she just can't take it and goes absolutely feral to protect him? Can be angst, fluff, smut, whatever you prefer, I like it all. (But I really do enjoy a heavy angst with happy ending)

Summary: You and Itto don’t always get along as you don’t always agree with his different methods. One day however; upon seeing someone throwing beans at him, you snap.

||PART 2||

You were always the kind of person that helped wherever you could; whether it be delivering things for different shopkeepers, baking things for the elderly that resided in Konda Village, involving yourself in planning events and festivals with the Tricommision. It was no wonder to other people that you bore the title “Y/N, leader of the (l/n) gang.”

You were well liked and always got along with everyone in Inazuma. Everyone except the infamous Arataki Itto and his gang. Both you and Itto had different methods of doing things. While you knew to plan accordingly, safely and legally, he rarely did. You would get your requests approved to have your events in certain areas while he didn’t even apply. You detested his carefree nature as well as the oni’s ability to always get away with his (unintentional) antics. “He never takes anything seriously!” you would always say.

This was the start of your rivalry with him. Whenever crossing paths with each other, you’d always shoot him a passive aggressive look.

One day, you were out picking lavender melons on Yashiori Island to help Ayato win the hotpot game when you heard something that sounded like sobbing. You turned a corner and were met with the sight of Itto curled up in a fetal position, crying with beans scattered around him. A young girl with short blond hair and a white dress hurled another fist of the same beans at the poor himbo. You didn’t know what exactly was happening, but you did know that those beans seemed to be physically hurting him. You dropped the basket of melons in your hands and jumped at the girl, tossing the bag out of her hand.

“What are you doing?!” you asked, glaring at her menacingly.

“Oh no! Sneak attacks didn’t work! We need to think of another plan!” said something that resembled a small floating fairy.

The girl pushed you off as she and her companion ran off to find shelter as you picked up the dropped basket. You were about to go back and finish your melon picking but something big pinned you down with an enormous hug.

“Thank you thank you thankyouthankyou!” shouted Itto, his arms squeezing around your rib cage so tight you thought your lungs might pop.

“No- Problem…” you managed to gasp in between the breaths you were able to take. A few minutes later, he let go.

“As thanks for helping me, you wanna join me and my gang for a party later?!”

“No thanks. I’m quite busy,” you reply, brushing the dirt of your attire. You frown. “I’d rather not get thrown in jail.”

“Pleaseeeeeeee!” Itto begged, glancing down at you with puppy eyes.

You sigh.Your rival offering you to a party?! He must be planning something, and you needed to know what. “Ughhh, fi-“ you didn’t get to finish before Itto picked you up and slung your body over his shoulder. The melons fell once again onto the ground.

“Great! Trust me, you’ll have lots of fun!”

At the same time while you didn’t like the giant oni’s way of things, it suddenly dawned on you that some people were just clueless at heart. And now that you were sitting down and talking with this guy, learning more about him, you can’t help but feel yourself relax. It’s not easy being as organized and prepared as you are. Being at Itto’s gathering (that was probably illegal) made you feel like you could just let down your guard a bit.)

“No! I hate him! Get a grip Y/N!” You pat your cheeks, shaking your head. You stand, about to grab a glass of juice when you’re suddenly met with flaming eyes. Your stomach feels weird and your heart rate picks up ten fold.

“What is this?” you ask yourself, unaware that you’re staring at the red and yellow orbs.

“Ha, you blinked!” Itto laughs. You’re snapped back to reality when he pats your back roughly. A little too roughly that you almost lose your balance and fall.

“I got to go,” you say. Not even waiting for a response or saying goodbye, you speed walk out the entrance.

On the way back to your living quarters your eyebrows furrow as you think about what just happened. It can’t be. You hate him. You loathe his existence. You refuse to let yourself have a crush on the leader of the Arataki Gang; your greatest rival.

Might make a part 2 depending on how many people want me to write one.

What are your issues with movie Misako? Mine is the fact they turned her to a ginger and just shortened her name to Koko 💀 it just sounds so whitewashed

tbh I don't mind they turned her into a ginger and shortened her name to Koko?

All my aunties except maybe one have dyed hair. It's more on the red than ginger side, but tbh I can see for like, artistic reasons with Lego why they'd go for ginger.

I've chosen to interpret Koko being her milk/little name, since I only remember family members referring to her by name. Correct me if I'm wrong with that part though, I usually skip act 2 when I'm watching the movie and overall tend to cherry-pick what scenes I pay attention to.

But yeah, Koko doesn't feel whitewashed to me, honestly. The movie's depiction of Ninjago is clearly meant to be a hotpot of multicultural fusions, and I find Koko fits in the setting. That's not my issue with her character. My issue is turning her character from a researcher/historian into a warrior.

Let me explain.

Misako, in the movie, was a warrior, then retired to raise Lloyd. She was famous enough in her heyday for Nya to know about the Lady Iron Dragon. It sounds like most of her dates with Garmadon happened on the battlefield. The city knows Koko is Garmadon's wife. How exactly, if the Lady Iron Dragon was so famous, did no one make the connection that Koko was the Lady Iron Dragon before?

Hell, even if we were to believe that this holds, Wu still knew. But she's still kept in the dark about Lloyd's ninja training. Like?? Idk her character as Lady Iron Dragon was an absolute adrenaline junkie. Maybe she has some regrets about her youth, hence why she didn't believe a life of violence was suitable for raising a kid and initially left. But Koko genuinely does care about Lloyd. If Lloyd chose to fight, I don't think she'd be in his way. Koko was a great fighter, knew the risks, and accepted them.

Misako, the historian/researcher on the other hand? It's a lot more believeable as a non-fighter she'd believe being a ninja would be too dangerous, hence why Wu (and Lloyd) would keep her in the dark about the ninja business.

Koko as a warrior does not service the story, and it feels like Warner Bros made her like that in order to portray her character in a mass commercial acceptable light for what the industry thinks is a good female role model. But tbh I really would have liked to see her be someone who was gentle. Held a kindness that softened even Garmadon's heart, at least for a time. Someone who is a quiet but solid, grounding force. Misako, in the show, was willing to sacrifice nearly everything, even being a part of her son's life, if it meant she could stop destiny.

That is strength. And it's a type of strength that I feel would've meshed better with the movie's themes.

Although maybe it was too difficult for the writers to come up with an equivalent level of sacrifice that didn't involve abandoning Lloyd to show how far she's willing to go, I guess. Still would've been cool to see Garmadon and Misako having library dates.

Half American greasy spoon, half izakaya—didn't make much sense on paper for the uncultured, but the common denominators were smoked meats, broths, oil, way too much salt, and people stumbling in, drunk from their holiday parties. Virote and Shredder talked over a shared plate of chicken skin, takoyaki, bacon-wrapped enoki, and a pile of seaweed salad while nursing on their own individual dishes. Virote with his ramen packed with the trimmings from boiled eggs to wood mushrooms and, Shredder with what looked like a beef bowl. Virote wasn't very sure what it was ( but, it looked good. )

Servers went by with burgers and truffle fries and sushi, all on the same order for another table, while Virote watched as he polished off one more bottle of water before getting back to drinking. ❝I'm from a country that doesn't recognize it as an official anything, so I double don't care about the holiday, myself. A lot of the stuff people celebrate in this country haven't applied to me and I've been here for, like, about sixteen years. It's nice seeing people cheerful, though!❞ He used the flat of his palm to open his third beer, setting the cap aside in an empty saucer.

❝Anyway, yeah, I'm down for more whisky! You ever pour it in a pitcher with beer? Sounds gross, but it really gets you woozy-in-a-fun-kind-of-way.❞ Grabbing a fork, he reached across the table and fished some radish out of Shredder's bowl, offering a smug smile as compensation for stealing his food again. ❝It's nice to spend today with you, though. As always.❞

Why do I have a feeling that whatever is between them two, it's an open secret within the industry/close circle of friends? I mean, I was just minding my own business here and then I get to see words from other actors around them.... maybe I'm just overthinking things but qx with her repeated 'passionfruit' and 'u like the numbers 2 and 3 huh' were the last straws 😔

Disclaimer: fake fake fake.

Would that really be so bad, anon? I mean, for reasons, they can’t come out publicly to the media and the public, but would it be so bad for people around them to be aware of their relationship? Is it a lgtb relationship always bound to be rejected by people just because the public stance is one of nonacceptance?

(I ended up rambling a bit).

Let’s summarize:

They aren’t exactly hiding. They are aware that a great part of the public dismiss the idea of two men really being together in a relationship, so a lot of the signs and clues they leave are for each other and people who are open in the first place to the possibility of a romantic relationship between them. I’ve talked about it before, but there are way more subtle ways to carry on with a relationship that doesn’t involve necklaces, kadian and veiled references. So, for open minded people who are familiar with them, it’d be quite obvious that they are together (just based on their behaviour around each other).

A lot of people in the industry don’t have a concise, clear knowledge of whether they are together. For example, QX is probably a bxg like us, rather than actually knowing things, and she was testing waters with her off-hand comments. But does she know for sure whether dd is confirming or just playing along? I think she doesn’t, because dd doesn’t know her, so I don’t think he’d tell her.

However, there are people who definitely know something, like his bros from TTXS. What’s more, they are supportive and protective. The way WH poses his questions, and how DZW jumps in whenever dd says too much are very very telling.

For one, I’m glad that some people know about them (or at least, they seem to know). First of all because it gives me hope for the future, of acceptance from the people in the industry and, even more, from the audience. And second, because hiding is painful.

They do cover for events, interviews and such, but I like the idea of them actually being themselves when there are no cameras around. In previous events, tv episodes, bts, it’s shown that when these two are together, they enter their own bubble, having their own conversation with no regard to personal space. It’d be nice if they simply behaved like that behind the cameras because they felt no need to hide when they aren’t being recorded, which would lead their relationship to being an “open secret” in the industry.

Moreover, lately, I get the feeling that they have both entered a “I don’t care” kind of phase, which is more evident than ever by dd wearing his necklace openly again, and gg giving very straightforward answers. I will be paying attention to this, but just... think: this is what they do when they know their image and their words will be analyzed over and over by the fans. I don’t think they particularly care when they are around people they know, people who actually know them and support them.

(Disclaimer: ofc, this is my opinion, I don’t know them or anyone in the industry to check this).

Maybe you are worried about gossip sites or of anyone telling/selling their “secret” to the magazines, anon. But remember that the same “no talking about non-heteronormative relationships” policy is the same policy that’s “protecting” them.

Remember their hotpot “date” in 2018. Someone saw dd’s assistant queueing for hours to get a reservation for him and a companion. So paparazzis and reporters rushed to the place, suspecting a possible girlfriend. However, they were greeted by the sight of gg and dd leaving the restaurant together. They even snapped those photos of gg talking on the phone and dd in the same outfit he’d be wearing the next day in the airport.

From what I know, it’s not just that they weren’t able to sell them at that moment (in 2018, bjyx as a fandom wasn’t what it became in 2019), but they couldn’t even sell them in 2019 when the fandom flourished nor in early 2020, when everyone was trying to drag gg’s name in the mud.

It’s just that even though the photos would have sold well because of bxg, no magazines or gossip sites can talk openly about gay relationships because of censorship (the irony of the censorship being what prevents them from coming out and what helps them to hide). Instead, they can only say “gg/dd having dinner with his co-star”, but no title like that attracted the attention from the general public ever.

Of course, for us may look as clear as daylight, but for many others is just an innocent dinner, with no other significance attached. You can’t wake up someone who is pretending to sleep.

Iceland!

Warning - lots of facts and alot of gushing to come for this amazing country... and I've had to split it up because I saw and did so much. But first:

Oh my - suitcase joy!

I surprised myself with how chill I was about my suitcase not making an appearance at the airport in Keflavik. Not surprised as it was a very short transit in Copenhagen, so a part of me knew that there was a chance that would happen. As a person who has worked predominately within the service industry it is always interesting to aee the different reactions of the customers and the responses it generates in the staff. My lovely lady guatanteed me that I'd be first delivery of the next day as my tour waa was due to depart at 9am. I was not entirely impressed in what seemed to be the disorganisation of the buses from Keflavik airport. Waiting in a queue for another 40 mins for the 1 hr or so trip to Reykjavik doesn't help when you are tired from travelling most of the day! I'm not sure if they were surprised by an influx of tourists for the new year period, there were heaps of us though! I finally made it to my hotel, with my little pouch of 'sorry we misplaced your suitcase' stuff. Found food, and a beer walking distance from the hotel, then sleeeeep! I'd booked a harbour northern lights cruise as an extra for my first night, but the rain and clouds meant it was cancelled.. bummer, but also good, as it meant an early night.

The tour I booked was a new tour, a 4 night 5 day New Year Northern lights adventure. We were late departing. And it wasn't my suitcases' fault. Luckily our tour leader is awesome. He rang the company for me and got the details of the driver, rang him and arranged for my case ro be waiting at the first stop of the day. One very happy Kaz! Especially as it was raining and I was wondering how on earth I'd get everything dry as I'd spent a good couple hours the night before rotating my smalls on the tiny heater in my room.

We had a smaller earthquake in the early hours of first morning (30thDec) at about 4am. I woke up to a bit of a shake, then went back to sleep! Earthquakes are very common here as Iceland is literally on the join of tectonic plates and has multiple active volcanoes as well. It's like one big bubbling hotpot with constantly changing walls...

The country is only a relatively new one when compared to everywhere else (both in land age and being populated/economic development), it has seen many of it's advancements in growth over the past 100 years or so. Iceland has a very small population of about 354000, and alot are direct descendants of the Vikings. Our guide, Baldir (no idea of spelling) told us he can trace his history to the first settlers 20 generations ago, and the city has a statue of his 20th cousin Leifur Eiríksson. To me having that level of descendancy in one location is simply amazing.

Before we set off out of Reykjavik we did a quick tour of some of the city's highlights.

The Harpa - suitcase arrival zone (did I say I was happy!) What a beautiful building! Its an amazing concert hall opened in 2011 featuring a distinctive colored glass facade that was inspired by the basalt landscape of Iceland. The lights that are set into the glass change colours constantly adding to the intrigue.

Next up was the Perlan ('The Pearl') a museum and rotating glass dome restaurant (more to come on the restaurant later!), that has been built on top of six huge water tanks that store 24 million litres of Reykjavík's hot water on top of Öskjuhlíð Hill. Surrounded by trees it is one of the capital's most distinctive landmarks. Oh, and there is a 360° outdoor viewing platform with stunning views across Reykjavik, even on a freezing cold wet windy day... We drove past the beautiful Hallgrímskirkja the 74.5m high Lutheran church, so tall that it's tower can be seen from almost anywhere in the city.

After lunch at a gorgeous little lighthouse restaurant in the old fishing area of Grindavík we headed out to the 'Bridge between continents' at Sandvík. It is a small pedestrian bridge over a major fissure showing clear evidence of the presence of a diverging plate margin. It is often referred to as a symbol for the connection between Europe and North America. By this stage it was so windy rainy cold that it felt like being pelted with ice! Everyone's clothing that was not weatherproof was soaked. So it didn't matter much when we then headed to the South west coast peninsula of Reykjanes. The diverse landscapes of this country are astounding. The previous eruption areas of black rock, no vegetation, no water that extend for klms. The huge bodies of water, the lack of trees, the rock formations of the ever changing coastlines. This area, although wet, super windy and cold at the time we came, was absolutely stunning.

All too soon we were hauling our wet butts into the blue lagoon. There is a marvelous story of Gunda a lady who died near the hot springs. The Icelanders have many stories/fables and are a very superstitious bunch as well!

The lagoon itself is a big environmental mistake. Its the outcome of the waste water disposal from the geothermal power plant that operates in the middle of the lava field. In 1976 a pool formed with strange colour at the site, and in 1981, people started bathing in it after its supposed healing powers were popularised. In 1992, the Blue Lagoon company was established, and the bathing facility was opened for the public.

Sometimes it just works to say: Stunning! Freezing. Got beer and a face mask and blissed my way around finding the hotspots. Was still lightly raining, windy, but glorious. Not too busy, I had heard it gets terribly full of tourists and was happy that it was only the locker rooms where there was an overload of people. I totally Showered like a European in the open shower area (winning!! - how far have I come!!) Iceland has many many public pools (it has hot water everywhere!!) But the blue lagoon is the big touristy thing, and I'm so glad my suitcase arrived otherwise I may have missed out (my swimsuit was in it). I did find out that you can hire swimsuits there but...hmmm glad I didn't have to! I don't have any photos as the weather meant it wasn't worth it. One of the tour guys took a photo of myself and Christine (one of my new friends), in the lagoon, classic tourist shot, but that's it, the memories are enough!

I Loved it. What a magnificent experience even putting my wet clothes back on couldn't dampen my mood.

What a day! Off to Hella, to our Arhus cabins on the Ranga river. No northern lights tonight though - too much cloud rain and oh my...the winds were nuts. Got some new friends, and a huge day tomorrow.
