I just started the most fucked up undertale yellow au

has anyone watched opal by jack stauber? If not I will explain the au under the cut because there will be spoilers for the short film

So opal is about a little girl named Claire who uses escapism to hide away from her abusive family

It is implied throughout the game that Clover did not have the best home life, "these cramped living conditions remind you of bad memories", when you check the dishes in Ceroba's house it says "this reminds you of your duty back home half of you wonders how everyone is doing the other half has moved on", their favorite TV channel is static which implies they probably lived in poverty

This makes me wonder if Clover did the same thing but with the cowboy get up, and that gave me an idea that every fandom has to go through at least once, what if what happened wasn't real? What if it was just all escapism for Clover to be a hero? I have other ideas I just need to design everybody else first :)))

so i've talked a lot about fry and leela kid concepts and i feel like a lot of baby AUs (while super cute and wholesome!) tend to go for similar looks -- namely, two eyes purple hair and one eye orange hair. basically a eyeswap and maybe genderswap of their parents.

however i really like working with the very interesting fry and turanga gene pools, especially the turangas since you can do pretty much anything with mutant genes. as you can see, i'm a fan of munda's tail, lol

so here are a few designs for kids i've made! most of them weren't designed to exist in the same universe (only two pairs are really designed to be siblings, only one of which has siblings definitely canonically from the same timeline), and all kind of represent various ideas for stories and dynamics i've had regarding freela as parents. some may not even exist in the canon timeline... ;3c

So his full name is Nora Morales!!Not Miles' bio sister since while i am afrolatino like Miles,i'm half white while he's fully black so he's adopted!Specifically Jefferson and Rio took him in as a teen when he was living on the streets after his birth parents kicked him out for being trans(specifically transmasc genderfluid and bigender).His new family loves and supports him very much and vice versa!!

His base design is pretty much me but with long hair!Meaning he has a big nose,light brown skin,black hair that's naturally curly and is short!His aesthetic/style is 'pastel gamer' and once he gets character development by becoming Spiderwoman,becomes pastel punk too!!He always had the mentality of a punk but wasn't confident enough to dress the part just yet(also because i hate copganda,Jefferson is a househusband in his verse so he's allowed to go to riots and such)

Personality wise,he's super bubbly,kind,sweet and goofy but very insecure due to his trauma and never going to college due to his neurodivergence(autism,adhd,anxiety and mdd)making school too hard for him even though Miles has almost all the same disorders and is a star student and he feels like a failure in comparison to him.BUT he's a great older brother to him and never ever takes it out on him!!They're best friends in addition to being adoptive siblings <3 And Miles actually looks up to Nora tons and used to vocalize it a lot when he was little but stopped slowly as he got older,which was upsetting for him because he thought he didn't see him as cool anymore and there's a scene in Itsv where Miles tells him he never stopped thinking he was 'The most awesome big sibling ever' and Nora cries so they hug tenderly in comfort♡

He works at the same diner that closed down in Peter B's dimension!!As in his and Miles' version of it^

Like i said in my last ask,his love interests are Peter B and MJ and they're a polycule!!In the first movie,him and Peter B bickered a lot due to the whole 'pessimist and optimist' thing but were nonetheless nice to eachother and were crushing by the end.They're actually the official couple in Atsv instead of Miles and Gwen!!By that i mean Peter B comes with Gwen on her mission to Miles' dimension and the four are the mcs like in the first movie!!There's a scene in Atsv where Nora goes to visit MJ with Peter B and they're still just exes and friends but only because he's also in love with him and didn't make her feel like a second choice!The girls hit it off and once Btsv comes out,i will absolutely give them a getting together story in it(all three of them)and i'm super excited to!!!♡

His spider motif is the purple jumping spider so his unique Spiderperson power is jumping and his costume is purple and white with a cat ears hood,a white heart on the chest and some punk parts like spikes on the shoulders!

He's the big sister/mom figure of the Spiderfam kids and easily the adult Spiderman they trust the most!Hobie especially was happy to have another punk around

Vince left Night City for a little less than a year in 2070. He'd burned too many bridges, in Charter Hill, in Kabuki... There seemed nothing left for him to gain, nowhere deeper to sink. Also, his mother had tracked him down two years into his hiding from her. Even though they parted ways somewhat amicably and Vince did not expect to see her again, a certain level of unrest had accompanied him ever since.

Together with someone he thought he was in love with at the time, he joined the backstage crew of a Korean lazrpop duo touring the NUSA. His actually quite extensive technical knowledge... did not land him the gig. It was mostly the good word put in by his acquaintance that was supposed to get him out of the city. But so, instead of working with the crew's techies, setting up the lights and sound for the impressive shows ahead, he ended up having to haul equipment cases most days.

Needless to say, the experience was underwhelming. Combined with his relationship turning sour halfway into the trip, Vince suffered from the worst homesickness ever - for Night City, of all places, the city and the people that had continued to wrong him so many times over, with their games and intrigues.

One thing though Night City had done very right: Jackie Welles. The first person who sincerely liked Vince for who he was, no ulterior motives. The first true friend whose intentions he no longer doubted, that would have his back no questions asked, and vice versa.

Bonding with him over their shared experiences with abusive parents, Jackie was to Vince the older brother he had never had. Naturally, Jackie was there to pick him up when Vince returned to Night City in 2071, disillusioned, alone, and uncertain about his future more than ever. But Jackie always seemed to know someone or something that could be done to get Vince back on his feet.

Night City had changed as much as Vince had during his short-lived, self-inflicted exile. The Unification War was over, Night City a free city. Most importantly though - unbeknownst to both Vince and Jackie still - the old, powerful corporation that had returned to the city's heart with its new, rebuilt headquarters, would forever change their lives just a few years down the line...

For today's behind the scenes ramblings: a few thoughts on something I've been noticing on my VP journey lately...

No matter where you go... I think in any scenic location near Night City, you can see the Arasaka logo somehwere in the background, and I think it's done very purposefully by the environment designers XD It's either the clover, or the whole word "arasaka" spelled out, glowing somewhere on the side of a building or an ad display. It is often there in important story scenes somewhere, too, subtle in the background, a constant, subconscious reminder to V (you know... apart from the constant, subconscious bickering at the hands of Johnny XD).

Arasaka Tower itself is also extremely prominent, unmistakeable with its shape, whenever I'm taking pics lately that are in slightly elevated locaions I look around to see if I can spot it XD And I chose this spot specifically because it's so nicely visible from there, too...

This was one of my very first shoots with AMM - don't think I ever shared these (and wanna recreate them badly now). Just Vince and Johnny pondering the next move, what they're gonna do and say during the meeting with Hanako, Arasaka Tower in clear view in the distance, almost as if it's taunting them.

This particular spot is very important to Vince... as mentioned, it's where Jackie picked him up after he returned to Night City in 2071, but it's more than that. Jackie showed him the place shortly after they became friends, to give Vince a "different perspective" on Night City he wasn't really aware of then, with his sheltered upbrining and the circles he moved in. It's by the dam, overlooking Rancho Coronado, and in few other places the extreme difference between poverty and wealth appears quite as jarring.

In the years to come after this first visit here, it develops into a favourite meeting spot of Vince and Jackie to discuss all manners of things in quiet and relative private... here is where, just a year later, Vince tells him that he's gonna take on a job at Arasaka 👀 And Vince is drawn back there over and over again, even when Jackie can no longer meet him there.

It's simply where he still feels closest to Jackie, due to so many important conversations they had here...

... and he takes Kerry here, later, too, to get away from the city for a little while, talk about the past and the future.

Sometimes he comes over on his own when he needs some quiet time to think, too. What would Jackie do now? What would he suggest? Does it all even matter in the grand scheme of things? What is really important right now, and what can wait for later?

It's the perfect spot to clear your mind, and gorgeous at every time of day <3

Also, I wrote above that Vince was homesick for Night City... but it was less Night City that he missed, but Jackie's presence.

*The scene is set a few minutes later. The Custard family and the Pure Lily Siblings are walking around the Cookie Kingdom. Custard III was pointing out all the buildings as they walked.*

Light Cream: And what about this district? What is it called?

Custard III: Well, this is the Berry District! It was designed after the Hollyberry Kingdom! It does have a feel of an amusement park!

Custard: It does look...very pink. I'm sure it's great for summer fun.

Red Velvet: Yeah. But once you see this district with snow falling, it's nothing like you've ever seen.

Light Cream: I would love to see that. When would be the perfect time to see that?

Madeleine: It should be sometime today. Maybe later today if we're lucky.

Cream Puff: We still need to get to two more districts and one of them being a sneak peek of what's coming to the kingdom soon!

Clover: That's a great idea! But first, (looks over at Clotted Cream and smiles) we need to meet up with a certain Cookie.

Clotted Cream: *blushes* Clover...

Custard: If Wildberry is here...then let's go find him and his children.

Clotted Cream: *blushing harder* I'm sure he's busy. We can keep going.

Custard III: He said that he would meet up with us again. And we need to tell the wonderful news to Strawberry, Wild Strawberry, and Strawberry Crepe! *runs into the Berry District*

Light Cream: Custard Cream!

*Everyone ran after Custard III, trying to stop him. Thankfully, Custard III found Wildberry, Strawberry, Wild Strawberry, and Strawberry Crepe a few feet away from the gate.*

Custard III: Wildberry! There you are! *notices the three strawberry siblings* Oh! Hello everyone!

Strawberry: H-hello Custard III. What brings you here?

Wildberry: Is your family doing that tour right now?

Custard III: That's right! We only have two more districts left! But you did promise to bring Strawberry, Wild Strawberry, and Strawberry Crepe to my parents!

Wild Strawberry: *rolls her eyes* Why? Why did you want us to meet little king's parents?

Strawberry Crepe: This has a 45% chance of getting us an answer we don't want. I don't think those odds are good.

Wildberry: *sighs* I promised his mother, who also happens to be Clotted Cream's mother, that I would introduce you three to her.

Strawberry: Really? But why?

Wildberry: Um...well...

Light Cream: Custard Cream! *Wildberry, the strawberry siblings, and Custard III looked in the direction of the Pure Lily siblings and the Custard family running up to them.* There you are! You can't run off like that!

Custard III: But I did find Wildberry and his children!

*Light Cream looked at the three young Cookies before smiling.*

Light Cream: Hello there! I hope Clotted Cream has been treating you all so well.

Strawberry: H-he has. He's a very kind Cookie.

Wild Strawberry: He helps take care of us when pop's busy.

Strawberry Crepe: I even predicate about a 95% chance of both pop and Clotted Cream getting-

Clotted Cream: *quickly covers Strawberry Crepe's mouth and nervously laughs.* Ha ha ha! That's good enough! We should get going! We still have a few districts left to explore! We should get going! Ha ha ha!

Red Velvet: But we barely showed the Berry District. *smirks* In fact, Wildberry should show you guys around while we get some last-minute things done.

*Madeleine and Clover quickly picked up what Red Velvet was doing. So did Clotted Cream.*

Clotted Cream: *whispers* Don't you dare.

Clover: Right! We have that party mother and father are hosting. We have some things to do quickly!

Clotted Cream: *whispers* You little traitor.

Madeleine: Yes! And we might not be able to finish this tour for you guys...but I'm sure Wildberry wouldn't mind finishing up the tour.

Custard: That would be a great idea. This will give us enough time to get to know Wildberry and his children while exploring the rest of the kingdom.

Light Cream: Yes! And I am interested in what Strawberry Crepe was about to say.

Clotted Cream: But- *looks toward the Pure Lily siblings but they were gone.* Those mother-

Wildberry: Now, now. *Holds Clotted Cream's hand* There are children around. Besides, *kisses Clotted Cream's forehead* I have a feeling that we will be spending more time together for the next few days.

*Clotted Cream blushed but smiled as the group walked around the Berry District. As they finished touring the Berry District, the first snow fell.*

Twst Actor Au pt 5: The next gen

Crowley: Come on out, the crowd is waiting!

Ramona: *Walks out, Clover following her*

Clover: I'm so excited!

Anne: *Smiles and waves, walking out*

Star: I just wanted to sleep...that was all I wanted..

Dusk: Oh hush!

Reporter: Hey kids, who do you guys play?

Ramona: I play Ramona Howl

Clover: I'm Clover Howl!

Anne: I'm playing Anne Schoenheit

Star: I play as Star Shroud

Dusk: And I'm Dusk Felmier...

Reporter: Okay, Okay, what's the hardest part about your acting job

Anne: Definitely about how our parents did when they were younger, people are always like "Don't do this" or "That's not how your mother or father would've done it!"

Dusk: Recently though, the director has been firing people who treat us like that, because it actually almost got someone hurt

Reporter: Who?

Ramona: Liana Kingscholar, she ended up trying to hard and nearly broke her neck, because a camera filmer had scolded her about not playing her part well, even though she really was

Star: And the problem is, people always think we're gonna be able to do what our parents did, yeah we know our parents made a legacy for themselves but should we really be pushed to reach further than they did

Reporter: No, you kids should not, how old are the cast members anyway

Clover: 13-17, I'd your counting everyone in the cast, that's the age range for us all, the youngest being Star here

Star: *Waves*

Reporter: Well, I hope Liana is doing better now, is she okay?

Ramona: Yeah, her mental state has gotten better, and don't get us wrong, we're not complaining about our acting jobs, we absolutely love it, but it makes it harder for us to keep a clear mind, when people compare us to our parents

Reporter: I agree

Anne: We enjoy being around each other and even acting with Crowley and the other adults who acted with our parents, its such a big honor for us

Star: It really is! Trein is planning on retiring from acting, but after we stop acting out the next gen stuff, he said he promised our parents that he'd watch over us

Reporter: That's sweet, where are your parents now

Ramona: Our mom is working as a fashion designer now, she also makes youtube videos with dad and us whenever we're home from acting

Clover: It's called Howl Fam

Reporter: Your parents are Livia and Jack right, those two were really close when on set, it's not a surprise to see their kids close

Ramona: Yeah, me and Clover are really close, our characters during acting may be a bit distant with each other, but outside of it we're always hugging one another and linking pinkies and all that

Anne: My dad works as a model again, my other dad is his partner, they both model together

Reporter: You're lucky to have Golden and Vil as parents, the cameras caught the two one time babying Ortho and treating him like their son, it was adorable

Anne: They still baby me at times! Haha!

Dusk: My parents work back at the farm my dad grew up in before coming to act out Epel Felmier

Reporter: Eliza and Epel, I remember how the two were always playfully at each other's throats...

Dusk: *Laughs* Yep! That's them!

Star: My parents divorced, I live with my dad, he works as a technical programmer

Reporter: Idia Shroud did right by taking you, rumors circulated around your mother like a tornado, and half of them were proven true

Star: Yeah, me and Belle are relieved Dad won custody over us, otherwise we would've been part of those rumors, and he really didn't want that

Clover: *Reaches over and rubs Stars back*

Anne: You okay Star, wanna take a break?

Dusk: *Stands up and sits beside Star, wrapping an arm around her and pulling her close* It's alright, we gotcha...

Reporter: Why don't we end the chat here, I'm so sorry for bringing up all that, I did not think it'd affect her this much

Ramona: It's alright

Belle: *Hurries over to Star and mutters something to her*

Star: *Stands up, Belle leading her away*

Clover: Thank you again for having us

Reporter: My pleasure now go take care of Star

LITTLE NIGHTMARES OC: HORA

Here's a small introduction to my main Little Nightmares OC, Hora! Disclaimer: She is NOT a self insert in any way, shape or form. Her hair is black and purple while my dyed hair is red and a darker purple. The birthmark on her face is also on a different spot on mine and I draw myself with an eyebrow slit. Just wanna get that out of the way bc I don't want people mistaking me for another Erin Clover (if you know, ya know). Here's a visual comparison on Hora and how I currently draw myself!

Anyways, let's get the basic shtuff out of the way!

Basic synopsis

Hora is a 12 year old girl who, if canon, would be one of the protags in a third game and the ending towards the time loop arc. Unlike the rest of the protagonists, she didn't really have to scavenge and hunt in the outside world. Her biological parents left her as a baby for some unknown reason and a woman named Ranza (a former escapee from the Maw) took her in and raised the child as her own. Ranza is VERY overprotective of Hora and doesn't let her go outside the cave they live in.

One day, Hora decides to try to find food for them to prove to Ranza that she can manage. Hora runs into a traveling circus and meets Six there, of course, captured. Once they break out, she rushes Six back to her cave. Ranza was pissed, but before she could properly scold Hora, the Ferryman finds them. Ranza hides the girls, but the Ferryman takes her instead. Hora's arc begins when she and Six have to save Ranza. Along the way, Hora learns that she can stop and slow down time, maybe even reverse it for a short while. She is also connected to Mono/Thin Man. When Hora is passed out, she can relive the events Mono went through the second game as well as communicate with him/Thin Man. That's where I'll stop for now since I wanna develop her story a LOT more!

Personality

Hora is a very bubbly and energetic girl! She doesn't let anything get in her way and is always willing to help. She's also very naive, letting her instincts overshadow her thinking.

Relationships

RANZA: Ranza is the only person Hora truly relies on. Their relationship, while still loving, is a bit distant due to Ranza's past in the Maw. Regardless, Hora still views her as a mother.

SIX: At first, Six and Hora do NOT get along well. They would bicker and argue over what to do. Six at first wanted to use Hora for her own survival and then ditch her. However during their journey, they start to grow closer. Because of her, Six really starts thinking about the terrible actions she has done in the past and wants to change. Their relationship starts to grow as an almost sisterly bond.

MONO: While Hora was trying to communicate with Mono, he was very distant from her, constantly pushing her back and to leave him alone. He didn't want another Six. But Hora wouldn't give up on him. Once she arrived at the Tower and saved Mono, he starts to really put his trust in her and ONLY her. He even starts developing a little crush on her, even though she's completely oblivious to it.

THIN MAN: Like Mono, he was distant towards Hora. They would talk as the door was the only thing separating them. Thin Man viewed Hora as a powerful yet annoying child, but he got through his heart at the end.

TRIVIA

Hora was originally supposed to be a boy with a mask on, but I wasn't satisfied with the design.

Hora is Mexican (her name even means "time" or "hour" in Spanish).

Hora was based off of Emma from the Promised Neverland and Eleven from Stranger Things.

The more she uses her time power, the more she loses blood.

Her purple and black hair are natural.

Hora's favorite food used to be nopales, but she discovered sweets.

Hora is 12 years old, which is the same age I headcanonned Mono!

Lol so it's coincidence after all. Still hilarious. I love black clover you see so my mind immediately thought of it upon reading the names the first time. Anyways, I'm interested now in Asta and Nero, do you have any arts/picrews of them? Can you talk about them a little? Thank you in advance :)

Sure! I will share some stuff about their fam first since it's relevant to their designs. (Sorry in advance for this getting long.) For some reason I thought I had made a post about what the Pokémon Go leaders (+ Arlo) are up to in this verse but I maybe didn't? So I'll just do a quick breakdown here with a focus on the parents of these kids. All three of the team leaders are Kanto League Gym Trainers in this AU: Candela in Cinnabar, under Gym Leader Shouju, Blanche in Cerulean, under Gym Leader Daisy (who specializes in Ice-types), and Spark in Vermillion under Gym Leader Visquez (who is Surge's successor in the Journeys anime!). (Ok it did get very long so will add a cut here.)

Spark does have a close bond with Lt. Surge (as evidenced by the shared surname), but they're not related by blood. When getting ideas for how to implement Go characters in this verse I did poke around to see what hcs people had for them, and saw a fair amount of Spark - Lt. Surge and Arlo - Giovanni relation hcs (along with a lot of wonderful Sparlo art which tipped me in favor of the ship haha) so decided those would work well for me as well! In this case, when Spark was young he ended up being orphaned and was struggling on his own, and Surge, a young gym leader at the time, took him under his wing. Spark isn't formally adopted into the Surge family until after the Lt. and Violet marry, however. Lavender & Heather see him as an uncle, since he's not that much younger than their parents.

Arlo gets the convoluted RocketFam drama backstory since when isn't Gio's family convoluted. Basically the idea I had was to incorporate him into Giovanni and Ariana's (honesty notorious) on-again-off-again marriage and run with the idea from one particular manga adaptation that Gio has a twin brother. The twin, who I named Giorgio, has actually existed in this verse for a long time (he's been on Renato & Celeste's profiles from the beginning I think), but I've never really done anything with him so this was my chance! What happened, essentially, is that after Ariana discovered her husband's affair with Delia she decided to retaliate by having an affair with his brother, which resulted in Arlo (so he's both the half-brother and cousin to Mars & Silver, along with being Ash & Gabe's cousin). He's raised by his father in another region and isn't super involved with TR until he's older. I'm still working on how he fits into the modern, Silver-run, somewhat-reformed Rocket and how the Sparlo relationship unfolds but this is the basic backstory.

Ok now finally for Asta and Nero. They're still heavily in development but I have done a basic Picrew design for both of them. Here they are!

The reason the backstories were relevant for their designs is just since I used grandparents Ariana & Giorgio for some of their looks. Arlo inherited Ariana's red eyes & Giorgio's black hair, but Asta inherits Giorgio's purple eyes and Nero inherits Ariana's red hair (though his is darker than hers.)

Asta is a very energetic troublemaker type of girl who loves exploring outside and is prone to impulsive stunts. While she's a trainer, she's not super interested in the League or anything like that and I have vague plans for her to end up as a pokémon breeder and open a pokémon refuge/sanctuary when she's older. Basically I channeled a lot of the Team Instinct memes with her haha.

Nero is less developed, but I know he's the calm and more serious counterpart to his outgoing sister. He's a bit edgy, especially in his teen years (I like to imagine him dyeing some black streaks in his hair in sort of an opposite look to his father's dyed red streaks which just makes Asta constantly call him a Zoroark lol). I think he's probably friends with his cousin Celeste since they're around the same age, but that's not super developed yet either. I also have some vague ideas for friendships with the Gary/Goh/Horace kids, but again it's all still under development.

I'm a trans person who loves the gospel and is still very active in the church. As of right now I still hold a temple recommend, even though I don't attend often because of my anxiety. I recently just started hormone replacement therapy-kinda on an impulse, and I guess I'm worried about 1/2

my future. I don't want to stop hormones but it's almost a certainty that I'll at least have my recommend revoked, which means no sealing for time and all eternity to a spouse and no way to be sealed to my future children either. Do you have any words of comfort or advice? 2/2

I reviewed Handbook 1 and hormone replacement therapy is not mentioned. Under temple recommends it says this: “A member who has undergone an elective transsexual operation may not receive a temple recommend.”

Getting a shot is not surgery, it is within the permissible actions a trans person may take and still be in good standing with the Church. Also allowed is wearing clothes that feel right and going by your chosen name and asking people to use the correct pronouns. You can ask for your member record to show your preferred name/nickname. According to the Handbook, none of those actions will cause you to have your recommend taken away (of course, some leaders go rogue and may take actions that the Handbook doesn’t call for).

I know trans people who are still in the Church. Despite how it’s presented in the media, most trans people don’t have surgery. I know life in the Church will be a challenge, but if you want to continue to be a member, then do so.

The Church won’t update its membership record to change the gender from what you were assigned at birth. And ive heard that it will not update your membership record to reflect your new name, even if you get it legally changed, but I wonder if that’s a ward-by-Ward situation.

To get married in the temple, it has to be to someone whose membership record shows a gender different from yours. The Church records have to show a male & female getting married. If that works for you, then you can be sealed to your spouse, and your children would automatically be sealed to both of you.

I want you to know that you are a unique and beautiful child of loving heavenly parents. Every once in a while they send the world someone so unique, it’s like blessing us with a rare treasure. Four-leaf clovers are considered lucky because they’re rare. The people who know you are lucky! I hope they recognize the blessing it is to have you in their lives. 

I’m sorry the Church isn’t a good space for LGBTQ people. The Church is designed for cishet people. The Church still has a long ways to go regarding its gay members. It has so much farther to go for its trans, nb and gender fluid members. 

If church becomes too much, too hard, it’s okay to take a break. The Church has a wonderful online library of videos and music and talks and on and on. Even if you don’t go to the Sunday meetings, you can still receive messages of the gospel that lift your soul and stimulate your mind. You are responsible for your own gospel learning and there’s multiple ways to learn and feed your soul. 

Remember the Canaanite woman in Matthew 15:22-28. She went to Jesus and asked for His help. He declined, saying He was not sent to minister to the lost sheep of Israel, it’s not good to throw the kid’s food to the dogs.

That’s cold!

The Canaanite woman responded, “Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.”

Jesus replied, “great is thy faith.” And then He cured her daughter. 

Another person who Jesus singled out as an example of great faith was the Roman centurion who wanted Jesus to heal his male lover. 

You and me, we have faith and others may scoff but Jesus recognizes our faith. It’s not easy for us, we are the outsiders that others think don’t belong. But Jesus will bless us. You are blessed.
