Hey hey this is kinda random but yall do know how easy it is to get Japanese games(or Chinese or korean) on ur phone right? I saw a bunch of ppl talking about how they're sad they can't play haikyuu touch the dream cuz it's not global but like u totally can and it's super easy

Android: just download qooapp u just gotta look up qooapp and if u want download their app and boom jp games galore! Qooapp is what I use but the caveat is its not for ios

Apple: okay ur getting this info second hand so if someone has more than I do that would be very helpful. From what I've heard u just have to make a Japanese apple ID and I don't have an apple phone so I don't know how it works sorry!

Japanese IP bypass: some Japanese games check if you have a Japanese IP address which makes them harder to download however u can work around it with a VPN. I used tunnelbear when I downloaded magireco and it Def worked. All I did was change my location to Japan and then make a Japanese IP email acc and sign in to the googleplay store. Make sure to set the app to auto update tho so u don't have to deal with it later. Luckily it's only a few games you'll have to do do this for

In conclusion:downloading Asian games is very easy and the only issue is language and u could easily look up translations for story and mission and stuff though I wouldn't recommend story heavy or games where you feel like you would need to be able to read I know some people use like apps that translate in real time but idk how to do that lmao

This account posts daily facts and trivia about Project SEKAI! I occasionally do longer analysis/content overview posts as well as some event speculation.

This account is currently operated by one mod and is scheduled to post daily at 4pm UTC. Bonus facts may be posted if I find something interesting in newly released content.

Rules:

Must be canon or otherwise official - Content from any server of the game (including cards, stories and songs etc), music videos, Petit SEKAI, official artwork or 4komas is OK! I will also accept content from the anthology mangas, magazine articles, and seiyuu content (including unofficial stuff so long as it is relevant to the game, like something they said on a personal livestream). In other words everything is fine except fandom stuff/unofficial fanworks.

If the fact is related to Vocaloid/Virtual Singers, it must be relevant to Project SEKAI in some way.

No leaks - Leaked content is usally low quality and I will not be able to post the fact until the content has been released officially, so I'd rather you didn't submit it at all.

Please submit a source for your fact - a screenshot, image, video or link is OK! If you don't have any then that's fine, but please at least tell me what story/card/article/stream/etc is the source so I can get the screenshot/image/link myself.

If the source is not available on the EN or JP server, or is not available online, please attach an image/video! - I only play on the EN and JP servers, and will only be able to get screenshots and recordings of content available on those servers. If your fact relates to content exclusive to any other server or is from a physically published source and you do not provide an image/video, I will not accept the submission.

Asks are also open if you have any questions about a fact or if you have any general questions for me. Due to the incredibly overwhelming amount of asks I get nowadays, it is impossible for me to answer everything. Sincerest apologies for that. I still try to answer as many as possible but it could take a while for your ask to get a response. Also please do not ask me about shipping.

Tagging

Characters are tagged Firstname Lastname (excluding Vocaloids). For example, facts about Ichika will be tagged as Ichika Hoshino.

Events will be tagged using the fan translations from the Project SEKAI wiki, rather than the official English names. This is just for consistency so I don't have to go back and redo tags whenever EN changes a title.

The media will also be tagged (e.g: Hatsune Miku: COLORFUL STAGE or Petit SEKAI)

LIAR! UNCOVER THE TRUTH ARCHIVAL HELP

Hello if you've been looking through the liar uncover the truth tags, you may have heard of some discord servers currently working on archiving Liar before it shuts down November 30th. I'm a part of those servers and I'm reaching out to tumblr to see if anyone has what we've got left

As someone who's had their nsfw blog terminated for far too many times, I've decided to take matters into my own hands & start working on a tool to help people back up & restore & manage their blogs by using a (web)app to leverage the Tumblr API.

The concrete goals of a v1.0 for this project would be to have the ability to:

Back up a list of blogs you are following, so that these can be refollowed on a new blog in case of termination through the application.

Download posts with specific tags, in order to store these posts, should they need to be reuploaded.

Reupload the stored posts to the new blog.

go through the user's followers, for example for my blog, check whether or not the followers have no blog title or description , think empty "untitled/sin titulo/unbeteitelt" blogs, and block them en-masse to purge these bots from your followers.

Current Nice-To-Haves:

The ability to quickly have an overview of your followers' title, description & pinned post if they have one, to create an easier way to vet blogs. Since it's etiquette to have your age clearly visible on your blog in the nsfw community, this should make this process a bit smoother.

The ability to have this app run as a service on your pc, locally, so that you don't need to manually start the app when you turn on your pc, this would enable me to work on auto-back up features.

For this application to be able to be hosted online, with either donations and/or ads to cover hosting services. Currently, if anyone were to try & use the app, they'd need to go through the process of registering their own application & change keys & secrets in the settings. While this isn't the most complicated process, it might be enough of a barrier for some.

Currently, I am working on the app with .net 6/C#, and I'm using Blazor for both frontend & backend. The Blazor frontend uses WASM/Webassembly. Blazor is a component based framework, like Angular or React, but uses C# instead of type-/javascript. Blazor server is very akin to ASP.NET WebAPI

On that note: if you are a .net c# dev, I can strongly suggest giving Blazor a try if you haven't. There is definitely some weirdness since it isn't as mature as Angular or React, but it makes it way more easy for you to get more mileage out of your backend code. Since you can keep the Client & Server in the same solution & share c# objects across both. API calls between the client & server are fairly easy & straightforward to make. It is, however, a departure from the ASP.NET ViewModel paradigm which can take some getting used to.

Please feel free to request any features or things i'd need to pay attention to & I'll consider adding them to the backlog.

Currently, i'm keeping the repo a bit secret in my back pocket, but once i've reached 1.0, i'll share the link with the repository & consider collaboration. I fully intend to open source the project so that the more savvy among you can go through the code & make more targeted suggestions.

Ngl, I have not actually gone through IkeVil's or even Alfons's tags since the EN server released, I've only reblogged IkeVil posts from mutuals and whatever popped up in my FYP largely because I already knew what was gonna happen more or less already from the get go.

But also because I don't think that'd be healthy for me anyway to sift through the tags and inadvertently come across people being jerks, since, ya know... I'm trying not to purposely upset myself.

Like I'll obviously still use the tags if it's things I posted, but actively looking in the tags? I don't think that's gonna happen any time soon at all, which sucks cause It'll mean missing out on the good posts, but man, I can't be dealing with all that. Too much time and energy.

I recently realized that I'm asexual and came out to a few people I trusted in my church groups, both of which didn't accept me and completely denied asexuality. Since then, I've been struggling a LOT, and the pain of what these people said to me makes me have an anxiety attack whenever I try to virtually attend church or Bible study or even pray even though I know God accepts me. Do you know of any Catholic/Christian asexual/queer resources or group chats that could help me? Thank you so much!

Hey there. Thanks for sending in the ask. It’s definitely hard when the people you trust don’t accept who you are, but there are people out there who see you and you are valid! I’m going to be honest, I’m not overly familiar with many specifically catholic/christian resources for aces. Which is part of the reason I find maintaining this blog so important so people have a space to reach out. But I will link some resources like the Trevor Project and AVEN below.

What's happened with the fandom? I'm so lost!

Oh, boy, anon, it has been A Week!

So, uh, a couple days ago Tumblr announced that starting on December 17, no NSFW visual content will be allowed on Tumblr anymore. This is a problem for a lot of different groups of people who like to use Tumblr, and it’s a problem for fandom because, y’know, sometimes fandom likes to create art of their favorite characters getting it on.

Tumblr is currently in the process of auto-flagging existing adult content, sometimes with hilariously wrong results.

So, basically, a lot of fandom is backing their stuff up, saving all their favorite dirty pictures, and leaving Tumblr en masse for greener, more porn-filled pastures.

There’s no consensus yet exactly on where people are going, because there never is when these things happen to fandom. People seem to be making more of an effort to put their stuff on AO3. Some people who do fandom on Twitter already are staying on Twitter. A bunch of people are joining various fannish Discord servers; if you like Steve/Tony, the 18+ 616 server is here for you, as is the 18+ MCU server and the all-ages server.

If you’re trying to find people, Copperbadge has a directory post going and there are similar directories for Captain America fandom and for Steve/Tony fandom specifically. Add yourself! Find your friends!

The two primary sites of refuge so far seem to be Pillowfort and Dreamwidth, both of which have pros and cons.

Pillowfort is currently in beta, and a key to create an account costs $5, although they are planning on being free at some point and monetizing via selling paid features later. If you’re coming from Tumblr, they are probably going to look more similar to it than any of your other options are. They have reblogging, global tags, blacklisting, and a lot of neat features. They say that they “plan to allow NSFW content with very few restrictions” which does sound better than Tumblr. The downside is that they clearly weren’t prepared to have this happen to them at this point; their site is very laggy and they haven’t even let in the next batch of users yet. There are also a bunch of things summed up in this Twitter thread that are kind of concerning – they need to change their domain name soon because their registrar technically won’t let them host NSFW works, they are not GDPR-compliant (which as I understand it means that they should legally not be operating in Europe), they don’t have a clear policy for when they will TOS you off the site, should it come to that, and they take money via PayPal which is gonna be a problem if PayPal ever finds out they host adult content. Basically, they have promise, but they are definitely a work in progress.

(Also I find their site design really hard to read.)

Dreamwidth is a fandom-created code fork of LiveJournal that’s been running for about a decade, since the time when LiveJournal started kicking fandom off because they posted adult content. (This is not a new problem for fandom.) They are very fandom-friendly, and they are very clear about what is allowed there, and they say that basically everything allowed under US law is legal, and your NSFW content is absolutely okay. (An account is free, but you can pay for more features, and they use a payment processor that does accept adult sites, so they’re cool there.) The downside is that, well, it’s a LJ clone, and if you’re coming from Tumblr it’s not the same paradigm of interaction as Tumblr – there are no global tags, no reblogging, and their imagehosting is very basic (but it does exist). Essentially you interact with people by reading their posts and commenting on them, and if you’re used to a site where you can just reblog stuff you like… that’s not DW. Having said that, I still really like DW, and I’m still there, posting frequently, and if you want to do Steve/Tony fandom the Cap/Iron Man community is there.

This is not the first time this has happened to fandom! We’re all gonna be out there somewhere! Just probably not here. It’s gonna be okay. We’ll find each other somehow.
