I don’t know why but it’s much easier for me to adjust to Andrew Scott as Tom than it is for me to adjust to Johnny Flynn as Dickie. Which is interesting because Tom is one of my favorite characters of all time. But Jude Law just is Dickie Greenleaf to me.

currently watching: it'll be hilda again as soon as I figure out a place to find the rest of it (the site I was using previously lacked most of the middle of season 1 and all of season 2, to my great dismay)

currently reading: 'leeward' by katie daysh! it is as good as everyone who has recommended said, altho' I do find the frequent use of first names rather than surnames a little odd. excellent Sad Soggy Sailor in there, which as you likely know is a genre I'm very fond of.

current obsession: I have been spending A Certain Amount of Time staring deeply at wikipedia formatting and and also particularly grubby and dusty pdfs in order to figure out how to Capture their essence for art purposes of late!

...also I have been a little silly in the head over 'the motive and the cue' (it's a play about hamlet! and a lot of other things!) for approximately ten days now, but primarily I have been doing that Inside My Head because it is not exactly the kind of silly in the head that causes Posts to form. seriously this is a play that I think Intertextuality Tumblr would enjoy very much, and since I know they have filmed the production (source: was there when they did that) I really hope that that eventually gets put up somewheres where it may be Beheld. also johnny flynn is very good in it if that provides any context to my meanderings.

I’m watching a show right now starring Johnny Flynn and it’s about his character reflecting on his old romances and one of the girls he dated is named Emma which is really funny if you recognize Johnny Flynn from his most famous role

Thinking about emma. (2020) again and I realized an underrated choice by their part was doing their best to make mr Knightley look like a manlet in order to keep him in check

Overall, The Dark is Rising podcast was a success! I didn't love the vocal portrayal of the Old Ones (they were a little too hive-minded for me) or how some things were pretty ham-fisted, but it was made with such obvious love and care and packed an emotional punch. I liked the majority of the performances and that it was set in the correct time period! And the music! A good listen overall!
