Looking for a story…

I know it’s a long shot but does anybody know where I could find the Jared Followill fanfiction called “Pirate Smile”? I discovered it years ago (like maybe in 2010) on Quizilla and then later on Mibba. It was a beyond brilliant story just like the one by @ownisyoulove-blog.

It appears as though Mibba no longer works which is a real shame. Quizilla has obviously been gone for a long time too. And maybe the Kings of Leon fanfiction community hasn’t had much activity since about 2013 (I could be wrong though as I haven’t really checked into it since about then or so).

Many groups tend to destroy themselves thanks to the fame they gain too quickly, which can be seen in their music then. I mean, I'm not surprised Kings Of Leon were close to their destruction, because their music follows the archetype of what rock supposes to be. I hear a lot of influences in their sound, though they put their own swagger – the latter might be a quality many modern musicians understand as the secret ingredient to reach their idols, but I digress – and they do the idiom that tries to be dangerous. This might be my problem with them, i.e. they are a facsimile, which shouldn't be seen as a bad thing. However, they don't play with the notion, you notice they consider themselves to be the real deal. To be honest, many of their peers are similar in their line of thinking.

Sabías que, hoy cumple 41 años el músico estadounidense Caleb Followill, nacido en Mt. Juliet (Tennessee), conocido por ser el cantante solista y segundo guitarra del grupo Kings of Leon, formado en 1999 en Nashville. Completan la formación sus hermanos Nathan (batería) y Jared (bajo) y su primo Matthew (guitarra solista). Han publicado siete álbumes, con temas como 'Molly's chambers' (2003), 'The bucket' (2004), 'On call' y 'Fans' (2007). Con la publicación de su cuarto álbum, 'Only by the night' (2008) consiguen el éxito internacional con temas como 'Sex on fire' y 'Use somebody', por el que recibieron un Grammy. El año 2010 apareció 'Come Around Sundown' que alcanzó el 2º puesto en las listas de álbumes en USA y fue nº1 en siete países, incluido el Reino Unido. 13. If you could talk to any musician, who would it be? what would you want to say?

My first option is Syd Barrett. I would like to tell him how important his music was when I was younger, and how his influence on music industry is still present. A day with him, just painting and a pleasant chat.

18. What decade do you think had the best music? is there any particular year that you think was the best?

From the 60s' to the 80s', those decades were the best for music. I can't say which year, the three decades were full of creativity in composing music and lyrics.

19. Who is your favorite member of your favorite band?

I'm going to mention at least 10 bands on this one. I do have a lot of favorite bands and to pick just one of them wouldn't be fair.
