Usually in this kind of manga guts and body parts start to fly and dismemberment is common. You know, those manga, right? This is one of those manga. It's a trainwreck that's so bad I can't stop reading. It's like the author wants to change the genre every few chapters. Thank you so much for properly translating Pumpkin Night! I don't know if you have plans on what to work on when finished with the series (I know, it'll be a while) but may I suggest the last two volumes of Reiko The Zombie Shop? The series is 8 volumes total but was dropped by Dark Horse Comics after the six volume and it's never been fan translated, leaving it on a permanent cliffhanger for english speakers for over a decade. I'd love to see a proper conclusion to it, and it has a similar vibe!

Hi! Yeah I don't have any formal plans for what I'm gonna work on next since Pumpkin Night hasn't finished yet so I'm kinda doing this indefinitely lol. I have had other requests to translate series like Pumpkin Night: Gaiden and Freak Island/Kichikujima, but I don't have any real plans for that since just translating one comic takes up a lot of time and I'm also balancing college and work. When I do get the chance to translate something else, there's a good chance I'll end up translating PN:G and RTZS before Freak Island since they're much shorter and I'll be able to finish them up quickly if no one else beats me to it! In the meantime, I'll totally check out Reiko the Zombie Shop cuz looking at the description of volume 1 it sounds pretty cool :)

About your thoughts on pumpkin night going downhill well thing is slasher always comes back from the dead and have you seen the author’s other works? Like kichikujima is ending part 1 with a part 2 series coming up plus had a prequel as well as spin off mangas and an short anime series. Inugami also had a remake manga series this is like the sequels to slasher movies

I’m kinda confused about what you mean here because the author and the artist are two different people, I haven’t read Masaya’s other works but I have seen them on Mangadex. In fact, I’ve been meaning to read his Emergence for quite some time now. As for Kichikujima I’m not sure if thats another work by Masaya or Taniguchi Seima. I know Seima has some works on his pixiv, and if they got translated into English I’m not sure, but that’s all I know. I’ve heard about Kichikujima or Inugami so I don’t really have thoughts on em.

Only reason I say Pumpkin Night has went downhill is because I think it kinda drags on the mental hospital arc for too long. I get that slashers come back from the dead but I’m not really feeling the “she has an internet fan base that worship her” thing. The recent chapters are fine I just kinda feel like the series overstayed it’s welcome. Or at the very least, not go in the direction it’s currently going? Idk

I like the art tho, I wanna see what Seima does next in terms of art.
