Ever had that moment when you see a movie or show and you see an actor/actress that looks a lot like someone you know?

We're watching They Nest (2000) and Kristen Dalton seriously looks a bit like my mom and especially her older sister. The fact Google says she is about 4 years younger then my mom and 5 years younger as my aunt (my mom and her sister are what some people call Irish twins), just makes this feel even more like a doppelganger scenario.

Anyways, I guess you have an idea of my mom and aunt's facial features now too. You'll never see me denying I'm pretty becsuse of genetics.

I'm perfectly aware my mom is good looking and so was my dad before the alcohol gave him a beer belly and he ceased putting effort into his looks. One of the girls I used to know as a teenager once called him a dilf after seeing a picture of him during the time he and my mom dated.

Eugene P. Gabor

Eugene P. Gabor, of Forty Fort, passed away Friday, April 12th, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, surrounded by his family.

Born in Nanticoke on October 25, 1949, he was the son of the late Stephen and Loretta Gabor.

Gene graduated from St. Mary’s – St. Nick's High School and Luzerne County Community College. He served with the 402nd Military Police division, Wilkes-Barre. Later, he began working with his father in the automobile industry, doing business as Gabe’s Motors, on Lower Broadway, Nanticoke, until the Agnes Flood of 1972. They rebuilt the dealership on the Sans Souci Highway and remained in business until selling the Dodge Franchise in 2006. He continued his love of cars by opening a used car lot in Larksville for a few years before retiring.

Gene was not a man to sit at home. He loved talking to customers and remained active working first at Fine Wine & Good Spirits, South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, and then part time at Market 32, Edwardsville.

Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Joyce, daughters, Michelle (John) Olinyk, Dalton; Kimberly (Rob) Piorkowski, Kingston; Kristen (Joe) Alonzo, Easton; two grandsons and his best buddies, Anthony and Jayson Alonzo, who adored him as their Papa.

Family and friends are asked to call on Thursday, April 18th from 10 to 10:30 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 116 Hughes St., Swoyersville, PA 18704.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, April 18th at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929.

Arrangements entrust to Hugh B. Hughes & Son, Inc., Funeral Home, 1044 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort.

The first incident occurred on January 9 at 11 a.m., when a deputy responded to the 41000 block of Carleton Way regarding razor blades affixed to a car door handle, the Temecula Sheriff's Station said in a press release.

"I just lightly felt around, and I felt something," Kristen Dalton, the victim, said. "As I got closer, I was like, 'Oh my god! Those are razor blades.'"

Investigators determined that the razor blades were placed in a manner likely to cause injury, with two blades pointed up and two pointed down. No one was injured during the incident.

"So no matter if you grabbed the handle underneath or on top, you were going to get cut by the blades," Dalton said.

A day later on January 10 at 9:12 a.m., a deputy responded to the 31000 block of Daniel Way to a report of a resident locating a single razor blade found on the front of their vehicle.

It was not immediately determined why the razor was left on a vehicle but the department did not believe it was related to the prior incident.
