One of my favorite things about being in my early 20s is that I'm starting to understand that I can use things not for their intended purpose. When you're growing up, you get told what an object is and what its intended purpose is, and as a kid/teen, I just accepted all of it at face value. As a young adult it's finally clicking that I can simply do things a different way if it makes me happier. Sure, I was taught that you stand to take a shower, but there's nothing stopping me from just sitting if I don't feel like it, ya know? I might have always had my medication in the kitchen, but if I'm no longer remembering to take it, I can just move it somewhere where I can remember. You don't have to specifically store all food in the kitchen, you can have a little snack cart or snack station in another room.

The downside to finding out the various ways you can use objects is that you develop habits that would probably go on an r/relationships post where everyone says you're a little freak.

nightbringer lesson 14 FUCKED ME UP in several ways but primarily I've spent the last 48 hours making myself sad over the solomon backstory we got. specifically I have, for no reason, latched onto that one chapter in the Kids event where baby solomon cried because he felt so guilty over being responsible for that spell. and that just feels a touch more depressing in context

OOH YES Fai and Kurogane are on edge now! While it was fun before and they were happy to flirt in the face of it all, now Lava Lamp is in extreme danger and They’re Not Enjoying That. Fai is now visibly (stressed? Upset? furious?) while he fights, and Kurogane is actually calling out his attack names again. And from that first panel we can see that they’re trying to get to him. Forget the coliseums Elden Ring needs to patch in a room at the roundtable specifically for taking screenshots of your character with decent lighting that doesn't weirdly obscure face details

#the thing about trying to use a torch or the lamp is #red/orange/yellow light seems to completely flatten the character's face and removes details. And it makes the face look like shit. Idk why #extremely bright white light will do this as well. #I get in some ways this is realism. You put too bright a light on someone's face it doesn't look right. #but I'm playing a fucking video game and there's a day night system and the sun is never in the same place and I have to keep teleporting #To Leyndell then back to roundtable then back to leyndell and it's slightly later and the sun has moved and the photos don't look the same #also the lighting does not and should not be that fucking bad at the roundtable #lighting is overly bad in a lot of places #me vs elden ring #like I don't think I should have a problem seeing things in some boss rooms if I forgot to turn on my little lantern #bloodborne was good at this!
