Ben kitabı beğendim ancak kitabın arka arkaya sayfalarca okunabileceğinden çok emin olamadım. Bir yerden sonra eylemler birbirine giriyor çünkü kısa bölümlerle herbirinin günlük yaşamı anlatılıyor. Daha çok aralıklı bir okumanın böyle bir kitap için daha iyi olacağını düşünüyorum.

Repression is when we tend to hide our painful and shameful experiences in our unconscious minds. Our defense mechanism is to try to forget these hurtful memories so they would stop bothering us. But just like being trapped in a maze and finding a way out, these memories would eventually resurface, and we would find ourselves having no choice but to feel the wrenching pain again brought by these memories — similar to the first time we endured them. 

The frustrations of running away from all of these and still catching you up would make everything even worse. Most of the time, we would blame ourselves for why these things happened in the first place. The overwhelming self-reproach would not allow you to sleep soundly at night. The regrets of your wrong decisions and actions would haunt you even in your dreams. 

Unfortunately, we will never overcome these curses. Fortunately, we can outgrow them.

Time is no longer my enemy. The days when I wanted to make the time run faster so I could get over these shits are already gone. Today, time is my friend. It helped me to get by each day. The process may not look like a time vs. distance graph, where velocity is constant. It is not linear, but it is okay. At least I, and maybe you already started to get there.
