omfg i posted this w/o text accidentally lets pray nobody saw that. ANYWAY

there isn't exactly 'factions' for my au, but i cranked out this shitty little map for this ask LOL and i do have things to say abt it

the parts that get darker means its higher elevation!

kates mine is where slenderman and the operators combined body resided for thousands of years, a ton of different minerals (but especially coal) forming around his entity until he separated. he started like...creaking awake.... when the mine was created during the industrial revolution. the reason kate resides where he 'woke up' is cuz she was the operators first victim and slendermans first proxy upon them tearing in half. . .

the abandoned hospital was abandoned around the same time the mine was, since everyone kept experiencing 'slender sickness'. . . they blamed it on the mines and some gas leak or something they couldn't figure out. the entire forest started to be deemed some sort of biohazard for a long while because of it.

the cabins were just little things littered about over the centuries, abandoned and the sort. the abandoned farmhouse is where clocky stayed in the earlier half of her """operator recovery""", and where jeff often went undercover

the railroad was also made during the industrial revolution to reach the mines and hospital, but it was forcefully collapsed after the forest was deemed a biohazard and blocked off before the farm area.

the big farm is where an old family has lived for generations, and they let the proxies (mostly toby and kate) get some work done for some low pay, resources, etc, since brian and tim have other jobs (carpentry and trucking, respectively)

south to this is a tiny itty bitty little town, very old and traditional type . . .

even more-south is where it grows into the city. the railroad does run towards this, which is how most of the creeps make their way around for.. creepy business nina, jane, liu, etc (in general the non-killer creeps) are in the cities. proxies are mostly in the forest/farm area, and any sort of paranormal/cryptid thing is stuck in the forest.
