Dating Raiden headcannons

-Despite his tough exterior and serious demeanor, he is the sweetest, most protective and loving baby boy in the world, he just doesn't know how to express it.

-Wants nothing more than to protect, care for, and cherish you for the rest of his life.

-While Raiden has no nicknames for you, as he just calls you by your name, Jack does.

-And OHHH BOOOY are there many, not all of them good. He calls you Sweetie, Babe, Dollface, Sexy, Hot stuff, Psycho, B*tch (affectionately), and Mine.

-Loves to do arts and crafts with you, those long nails claws of his are perfect for precise placements of tiny materials, cutting tiny objects with remarkable accuracy, and can also be dipped in paint to create perfectly thin lines.

-Will also let you paint his metal nails, though you'll have to do it often because the polish gets chipped a lot during battle; it's honestly a miracle if the coats stay on for more than 24 hours.

-Loves it if you help him polish, clean and/or buffer his armor.

-You are free to use his face however you please, no not like that don't get dirty thoughts now you can paint it, cover him in makeup, or make goofy masks for him to wear--he'll do it all.

-Very protective of you and cuddles you whenever you have a nightmare or just need him in general, though you must voice your needs, or he'll just lay there like the metal plank he is.

-Sometimes his alter ego Jack gets out without his permission (no idea how that happens), prompting a dramatic change in behavior and speech. He essentially becomes a different person--but that doesn't stop you from living your best life with him. You and Jack manage to get along very nicely.

-Trains you so you can always be ready for battle, because he knows someday, he might not be around to protect you.

-Randomly comes up to you and drapes himself across your lap, then just lounges there, pretending he doesn't notice you're sitting there. He'll just sit there, scrolling through his phone or reading a book, casually ignoring your existence.

-It's OK though, cause the weight and warmth from him is quite nice.

-Smells like cucumber baby wipes.

-Sometimes steals your eyeliner when his runs out.

-When you guys go to the store, people get really confused cause they see the bar code on his head and wonder if he put that there as a joke or if he's actually a piece of merchandise that somehow came to life and is now roaming free.

-If Raiden is in control, nothing notable happens, but if it's Jack, he slices the cashier's head in half when the cashier attempted to scan his head, then says with a smirk: "Don't even think about it, I already belong to someone."

-You guys should probably use the self checkout from now on.

Season 7 Featured on: Os Bar​õ​es da Qualidade

Its hard for me to overstate just how funny of a way Season 7 opened, and how perfectly it distilled the essence of SiIvaGunner down to just two weeks time. The Season premiered on the first day of February after a month's break of uploads for the duration of January, and it was with this premiere - Super Sonic Racing - Sonic R - that the season was labeled as "the year of Grand Dad". We'd finally reached the Season celebrating the funny number! The year was declared a celebration of SiIva's legacy, of its most stories memes and jokes from every season, and throughout the years they would definitely deliver on that promise.

Yet barely two weeks after the premiere, we suddenly had the rug pulled from under our feet. From February 13th to February 16th, the celebration was no longer of SiIvaGunner, or of Grand Dad. Now, the celebration was of hit electro-Forró band Os Barões da Pisadinha, and their immediately recognizable style of music.

I've talked about the takeover before in Rainbow Baroad, but these guys are BIGLY popular in Brazil, despite or perhaps even because so much of their music all sounds so similar. There's an infectiously fun sound to their electro-Forró style, and the SiIva team already began messing around with it midway through Season 6. Much like rips of Slider such as yesterday's WA-HOO DISCO, a key part of the fun with these rips is just how unified the style of music becomes when arranged in this distinct instrumentation. With Rainbow Baroad, the song already had a sort of laid-back, chill vibe to it that fit Os Barões' tropical sound like a glove. Funny Senator sits on the complete opposite end: Forró music is perhaps as far removed from Metal Gear Rising's style of music as you could possibly get, and yet that total disconnect ends up creating a super fun tune!

The rearranging already sells the joke perfectly, but the original vocals being added on top of this far sillier instrumental, trying so hard to remain epic whilst still being overruled by the pure vibes of those steel drums...The visual it creates as a joke is just far too good for me to ignore. Its like a final battle taking place on a sunny-day public beach, or like an intense game of beachside volleyball between Raiden and Armstrong finally reaching its conclusion.

One day I'll relisten to the whole album and probably pick out a third favorite Os Barões rip, but until then I'm comfortable in calling these two my absolute favorites.

Raiden x Reader bodyguard headcannons

-At first, everything was strictly business; Raiden's job was to guard you, and so he would do just that. Nothing more.

-He performed his duties diligently and seriously, until someone tried to attack you. The moment he saw the perpetrator, something snapped inside him. He cut that sorry sop down in an instant, leaving a mass of flesh in his wake.

-He was bombarding you with questions in a manner that was highly uncharacteristic of him; most of these questions were about your health, and if you were emotionally and physically okay.

-Afterwards, Raiden found himself growing more and more protective of you, and not just because it was his job to guard you.

-Eventually, he realized that his feelings for you weren't professional anymore--he was in love. With you. His client. Jesus, what would he do now?

-He tries to ignore it and keep up his stoic front, hoping that this is all just a phase and that it'll die down soon. When it doesn't, he's faced with a choice. Either walk away and try forget about you, or flip off society with his girlboss fingers and confess.

-After a very long brooding session, he decided to confess to you on the way back from one of your outings. The two of you were in his car, with you looking out the window while he concentrated on the road. Once you guys pulled up to a red light, he decided to confess.

-"Y/N? I want to tell you something, even if it is sorta unprofessional...I...love ya. I love ya. Yeah. I...said it."

-Needless to say, he was very nervous. Even cyborgs can get butterflies in their stomachs. Once you heard this confession, y I u were shocked--not because of his unprofessionalism, like he feared, but because you loved him too!

-After that, you and Raiden agreed to keep this whole thing between the two of you, as keeping the public in the dark was in both of your best interests.

-Despite your efforts to keep your romance hidden, some aspects of your new relationship managed to slip through into your daily lives. All of a sudden, you're taking Raiden with you to more locations than usual, you start taking him by the hand and calling him Jack--it's noticeable, but people don't really question it. As far as they're concerned, you've just developed a strong friendship.

-Now, activities that take place behind closed doors are a completely different story. He will pin you to the nearest wall/hard surface and begin assaulting you with kisses to the lips, collarbone, cheeks, whatever he can reach.

-He will hold you so, so tightly whenever he can, sometimes squeezing you so hard your oxygen gets cut off for a second.

-But he doesn't want to hurt you, he can't help his strength. All Raiden really wants is to keep you safe and make sur3 you know you're loved at all times.

-He's more than just a bodyguard now, he's your ultimate protector. Cherish him; he's more devoted than a German Shephard.
