Where does this fit in to the overall Godzilla lore?

Okay, I know you’re probably asking this is a joke, but I think I can answer this.

Godzilla looks a bit weird here, but that’s mainly due to him being the wrong color. If we look at the back of the box we can see a better picture of him

I’m fairly certain if you painted this model the correct colors then it would look a LOT more like the Godzilla we know and love, but the question is which iteration of Godzilla?

This model is a reissue of a model from 1967, so we know it has to be one of the early Showa era Godzillas

I’m fairly certain it is not based on the Godzilla design from the year the model came out (called MusukoGoji) from 1967s Son of Godzilla. That iteration of Godzilla was given a flatter nose in order to make Godzilla look more like a dad.

This goofy guy is clearly not the tough angular go kart driver that we see on the back of the box. That means Godzilla’s Go Kart has to be based on an earlier design.

If we look back a few years to the MusoGoji suit from 1964s Godzilla vs Mothra we find a much closer match!

MusoGoji has a much more angular face and has those mean looking eyes that we see prominently on the model.

I’m fairly confident in saying that this is the closest Godzilla that we have to the one depicted in the Godzilla’s Go-Kart mode.

This means that the Godzilla’s Go-Kart model fits between 1964s Godzilla vs Mothra and 1965s Ghidorah, The Three Headed Monster.

The FinalGoji suit from Godzilla Final Wars (2004).  If it weren’t for the truly horrid MusukoGoji suit from Son of Godzilla (which is near mulituniversally derided as the ugliest suit ever), this would be my vote for worst version of Godzilla - of the Japanese Godzillas.

Don’t even get me started about GINO or the Legendary versions.

 1. ShodaiGoji - Tobirama Big bad and needs to be stopped, like, right now

2. GyakushuGoji - Kakashi Depressed and tries very hard, in need of a thousand year nap

3. KingGoji - Deidara A Fucker who would throw you into the ocean and then laugh when you die

4. MosuGoji - Temari Will not be intimidated. Immune to insults and comes up with the best comebacks

5. SanDaiKaijuGoji - Hashirama Just wants a little peace and quiet but everyone decides it’s War Time so shit here we go again

10. MegaroGoji - Sakura Strong as Fuck, and would come up with a choreography to match the song that plays when she’s kicking your ass

11. MekaGoji - Tenten Underestimated. Can bend metal with her bare hands

12. 84Goji - Tsunade Big Strong and fed up with other people’s mistakes. Will threaten those who want to bond over the Good Old Times. No-one tells her what to do

13. BioGoji - Kankuro Sticks and stones may break my bones but poison will surely kill me

14. GhidoGoji - Obito Angry and bitter, won’t die no matter how hard you try.

Josh talks Shin Godzilla

I feel like the only Goji fan that really thinks that Shin Godzilla was hyped way too much by the American fans. I have seen the movie twice and thought it was ok. Does it suck, HELL NO but the Godzilla fans need to stop sucking it’s dick. I will not compare it to G14 because those are two completely different styles of Godzilla films. I am definitely interested to see where the series goes. The ending was too much of a cliffhanger for me. Honestly lets all be serious for a sec, this is the worst Goji design since MusukoGoji and another unpopular opinion I have is that Kamata-kun is no where near as cute as Little Godzilla. 

One last thing to say before I get demolished by my fandom...Persecution of the Masses < Godzilla’s March. There I said it. I honestly don’t get this songs hype. Godzilla’s March is too damn iconic. 

All my opinions may change once Funimation releases the English Dub (yeah I prefer dubs, I don’t know Japanese)
