#Nicky doll x Gigi Goode x Crystal Methyd
Note
Threesome Nicky/Gigi/Crystal
This is such an interesting idea, lemme give this a shot! It mostly turned into horny-for-Nicky time, and somewhere in there i sprinkled some exhibitionism, don’t ask me how that happened. Hope you enjoy nonetheless xx Big thanks to my love MermaidTail for looking over this!
The air was hot, flickering candlelight illuminated the room. While it was certainly very atmospheric, Crystal couldn’t deny that it was also incredibly hot. On the other hand, that would probably still be the case if the candles weren’t there.
The grim, hollering thunderstorm had locked them inside since the early afternoon. Gigi had been annoyed, her plans to go shopping went down the drain for the day, Crystal had jumped in excitement and quickly gathered her favourite DVDs by the TV, and Nicky? Nicky had smiled, slipped into her silken night robe and poured them all a glass of Wine.
They had made it through one third of the first movie, huddled up on the huge sofa with all their pillows and blankets, when the power went off. Gigi had let out a groan, not even movie night went right today and Crystal had jumped up to check if the lights in the kitchen had turned off as well. Not that she could do much to fix it anyways. After facebook confirmed that the entire block was without power, Gigi looked ready to throw hands with someone, anyone. Angrily, she shoved the sofa cushions.
„This October sucks!“, she announced, brows furrowed in frustration, „First I had to cancel plans with Jaida, now we can’t even have a chill movie night without something going wrong!“ She bit her own lip, hard enough that Crystal almost expected it to draw blood. The sight shouldn’t be as arousing as it was. Silently, as to not disturb her girlfriends angry outburst, she sat back down on the sofa, legs crossed.
„I bet by tomorrow the whole fridge will be molten and we’re gonna have another mess!“
„Relax cherié“, Nicky was oddly calm, setting up candles all over their shelves and tables, lighting the room in a warm, dim ambiance. She was quite the view in her silky nightgown, short, tussled hair, frame illuminated by candlelight. There was a twinkle in her eye when she turned back to the others, climbing onto the sofa to settle down in front of Gigi. The gown pooled around her, long, wide sleeves gathering at the elbows. Her long, delicate fingers reached up to brush the ginger’s hair out of her face, cupping Gigi’s cheeks with both hands. The soft skin on her palms was warm from the candles, the smell of eau the toilette and melting wax surrounding her like an aura. Her face was calm, relaxed, but her eyes burned with something deep, something both Gigi and Crystal knew all too well. It dripped from her voice like honey, like the wax on the candles all around them. „We’re gonna pass the time just fine, I promise.“
With that, Nicky closed the distance between them, locking Gigi‘s lips in a gentle kiss. A small, breathless whine escaped Gigi’s throat, causing Crystal to instinctively inch closer to her partners. Nicky broke the kiss with a chuckle, one hand reaching out for Crystal as while the other one rested against Gigi’s cheek. Her demeanour was calm, collected, however the smug twinkle in her eyes gave away just how much she enjoyed being able to rile both of them up this fast. When her lips crashed together with Crystal’s, her tongue almost instantly found its way into her mouth, exploring it like it was the first time.
While Crystal leaned into the kiss, her hands getting tangled up Nicky’s short blonde hair, Gigi discarded herself of her shirt and sweatpants. Her impatient huff made Nicky let go of Crystal, the latter chasing after the blondes lips for just a moment. However, the sensation was immediately replaced by Gigi’s firm hands, her fingers slipping under Crystals shirt for just a moment before tugging the fabric over her head and throwing it to the side carelessly. Nicky chuckled, one hand resting on the small of Gigi’s back as they shared a well knowing look. One short kiss between the two later, and suddenly Crystal was pinned down against the mattress, Gigi hovering over her, their lips connecting in a hungry kiss.
Gigi was straddling her, one knee on each side of her hips and both of her hands held Crystal firmly by the jaw as her kisses slowly trailed downwards, over the corner of her mouth and towards her jaw. Nicky was nestled right beside them on her knees, her robe falling off of one shoulder eyes hungrily fixed on Gigi’s antics as her fingers gently brushed through Crystal’s brown locks, splayed out on the cushion.
A whine escaped Crystals throat when she felt her grab a fist of blonde curls and give them a gentle tug, simultaneously with Gigi sucking a deep red mark on the sensitive skin of her neck.
There was no doubt that tonight, the two of them had teamed up on her, and she was more than okay with it. Anything to keep a moody Gigi entertained.
Just as the thought crossed her mind, the redhead moved further down with her kisses, her hands finding Crystals breasts, still clad in a comfortable cotton bra. She didn’t hesitate before grabbing the fabric and pulling it down, exposing Crystals entire chest. She hovered over them for a moment, her eyes, hungry and lustful, searching for Nicky’s. The blonde leaned forward and they met in a searing, long kiss, right above Crystals hardening nipples. It was almost unbearable, the sounds coming from her throat showing the other two just how much their teasing affected her.
Nicky let go of Gigi’s lips, the faint red of her tinted chapstick smeared all around the others mouth, eyes always fixed on Crystal. Before the latter had any chance to react, she could already feel the warm, wet sensation of Gigi finally locking her lips around one of her nipples. Her teeth grazed over the sensitive skin, tongue flicking the silver ring of Crystals nipple piercing up and down. A deep, sinfully loud moan escaped Crystals throat and the threw her head back, hands tangled in Gigis autumn curl. Her fingertips grazed her scalp before being met with Nicky’s, who’s hand rested on the back of Gigis skull, gently pushing her down towards Crystal. The corners of her lips turned upwards into a satisfied smile as she watched them, like an artist marvelling at their own masterpiece. When her eyes interlocked with Crystal‘s, she winked at her, head just slightly cocked to the side. Nicky revelled in the control she had over Crystal and Gigi, nothing made her smile wider than watching the things she could make them do to each other by pushing their buttons just right. Before she had joined their relationship, Crystal had never thought she would enjoy being watched by a third as much as she did now.
„Nicky“, she whined out, eyes fluttering shut as she felt Gigi smirk against her chest. The redhead knew just how much Crystal revelled under Nicky’s gaze, especially in a position like this, where it took all her self control to not just buck her hips up, searching for any friction between her and Gigi‘s hips, which the taller girl rolled against her in the rhythm of her tongue‘s antics.
Nicky understood Crystal‘s plea without needing another word from her, leaning down to reward her with a chaste kiss before sitting back up.
Gigi released Crystals nipple with a wet pop. Her eyes wandered over her work, Crystals skin glistening with saliva, bruises and hickeys already forming around the nipple.
„Marvellous work cherié“, Nicky cooed, pressing her lips against Gigi‘s temple, „Now, why don‘t you let me take care of the other one? I think you’re needed more somewhere else …“, Nicky’s fingers trailed down Gigi’s back, where they wandered right over to Crystals inner thigh. Crystal let out a high pitched gasp when she pressed a single finger down against her clit. Even with her panties still on, she knew Nicky must be able to feel the wetness pooling down there. Gigi chuckled, leaning into Nicky for another quick kiss.
„Sounds perfect“, she purred, her eyes finding Crystals, „Doesn’t it?“
All she could do to answer was press her eyes shut and nod frantically, taking a few deep breaths as the other two shifted above her. Gigi shuffled downwards, pushing her legs apart to settle right between them, her palms resting against their soft insides. Nicky stayed sat beside them, comfortable on her knees as she leaned down, her fingers painfully slowly trailing over Crystals collarbones, ever so slightly wandering lower before inevitably coming back up, never quite reaching where Crystal wanted her most. And all the could do was lay there, mouth agape, eyes shut, and let it happen. Merely little gasps and whines let the others know just how much of an effect their antics had on her. Well, those and the pool of arousal Gigi was met with the moment she slid Crystals panties down her legs.
Other than Nicky, she wasted no time, immediately diving in, her tongue swirling through her damp folds, nose ever so slightly pressing into her clit. Crystal mewled out, gripping the sheets on each side of her.
Nicky on the other hand continued to take her time. She supported her own body with one hand, the other one lazily trailing around Crystal’s chest in circles. Her fingertips circled around her skin, wandering up to her hardened nipple, only to immediately retreat again to fumble with the bra strap that uselessly hung down Crystals arm.
Crystal whined loudly at her. The sensation of Gigi working fast and effectively where she needed it the most drew a stark contrast to Nicky lazily trailing her fingers around, more watching then actually being involved herself. It muddled Crystals brain, she wasn’t sure whether she was begging for more or less, who she pleaded to and what exactly it was she wanted. All she knew was that her breaking point was approaching, even more rapid as Gigi wrapped her lips around her clit and began to suck relentlessly. Crystals hips bucked upwards, chasing the friction and Nicky let out a low moan herself at the view.
Finally, the blonde let her finger reach where Crystal wanted it, pinching once, twice, before letting her thumb and index finger play with the piercing on that side. Her eyes were fixed on Gigi, who wrapped her arms around each of Crystals thighs, pulling her in closer. Crystals gasps became frantic, her breath cut short and she felt her whole body start to shake. When Nicky let out a laugh, cupping Crystals breast with her entire palm, the orgasm finally washed over her like an ice cold ocean wave. She allowed herself to dip in, shuddering at the sensation as long as it lasted.
When Gigi retreated from her spot at last, a long sigh left Crystal’s mouth. It was cut short quickly by Gigi’s own lips though, who crawled upwards to give Crystal a taste of herself. The brunette let herself fall into the kiss, leaning upwards and wrapping both of her arms around Gigi to pull her slim figure close. They both smiled into the kiss, staying wrapped up in one another for just a moment to catch their breaths before Gigi rolled over to make space for Nicky, who had nestled down beside them, now wrapping one arm around Crystals waist, gently caressing her hip.
„Are you alright?“, she murmured, her accent always thicker when she whispered. A smile rested on her lips, pride and satisfaction written all over her face. One single look into her eyes was enough for Crystal to spot the arousal in her dilated pupils though. The night really had just begun.
Having finally caught her breath, Crystal nodded, sharing a short kiss with Nicky. „I’m okay“, she reassured, Gigi nodding in agreement, her head cocked to the side in anticipation. A grin spread over Crystals face and she slowly sat up, turning around to face her girlfriends. „If I‘m correct, it‘s someone else’s turn now…“ And with that, she grabbed Gigi‘s hips and pinned her down into the cushions, swallowing her surprised giggle with a hungry kiss.
She couldn’t see it, but as Crystal nipped hungrily at Gigi‘s lips, Nicky’s face softened, a lump forming in her throat. She swallowed it down, closing her eyes for a moment, overwhelmed with adoration and gratitude for the two girls in front of her. Never in her life would she have guessed she’d find someone who could satisfy her needs, let alone two people. On top of that, they were her best friends in the entire world, the two people Nicky loved the most. And here they were, hips grinding in sync, lips interlocked, just for her to see. Nicky opened her eyes again. She truly was the luckiest girl, even with no electricity and their freezer probably melting away this very moment. But what did that even matter when you were loved and loved back? What did that matter when you had your favourite people let you see them at their rawest, just because they knew you enjoyed it? With a soft smile, she leaned back against the sofa cushions and let herself fully enjoy the show she knew she was going to get.

military-based story with serious drill sergeant Gigi and unruly cadets. (Heidi and Jan are cadet friends) (Jackie is another Sergeant nicer) Nicky transfer from France army.
Military Base Charles
Gigi - Drill Sergeant Goode
Jackie - Sergeant Cox
Crystal - Private Methyd
Jan - Private Sport
Heidi - Major Closet (pfft)
Widow - Captain Von Du
Jaida - Captain Hall
Nicky - Warrant Officer Doll
Rock - (Military Police) Officer Sakura
(Gigi x Crystal, Jackie x Nicky)
Monday mornings were parade days. The platoon would be marched out of their barracks to the parade square. Today was unfortunately not just a normal practice parade, this was the real thing. Colonel Hall is coming to visit the base to be introduced to the new recruits and check on the officers. Drill sergeant Goode marches out to the front of the platoon. She turns herself around to address the recruits.
“Platoon 309. Attention!”
The voice of the drill sergeant rang across the parade square. The platoon was quick to stand at attention.
“Present, arms!”
The platoon raises their right arms and salute Colonel Hall. The parade goes on as usual, Colonel Hall is very impressed with the progress of Sergeant Goode’s platoon. Captain Von Du and Colonel Hall are walking through the ranks to inspect the recruits and speak with a few of them.
“Good morning sergeant Cox.” Colonel Hall said smiling at Jackie, herself responding back respectfully and she moves onto the next recruit. At the end Colonel Hall passes on her praise to Captain Von Du and Sergeant Goode. The parade gets wrapped up and the platoon is dismissed for lunch.
“Gigi!” Jackie walks over to Gigi following dismissal. Jackie and Gigi joined the corps at the same time, they became fast friends.
“That was so nerve wracking Jackie. I was so worried I’d mess this whole parade up.” Gigi grabs her face in her hands.
“You did fantastic! You were clear and you looked badass!” Jackie laughed while patting the flustered red headed drill sergeants shoulder.
“I can’t wait to see the new privates joining today after lunch.” Gigi stated while they both started to walk over to the mess hall.
“You’ll mold them wonderfully, your drill training is top class.” Jackie giggled back.
The mess hall was nearly full. Everyone was washing their hands and lining up to go to the counter. They ate based on rank, the lower the rank the faster you get food. Jackie and Gigi weren’t the highest rank there but they were high enough that they’d get to the food by the last wave of recruits. Gigi scowls at the counter, seeing the bain of her existence. The eggs.
“They have those scrambled eggs.” Gigi whispers to Jackie with a raised lip.
“They aren’t that bad Gi.” Jackie whispers back.
“Eggs. Shouldn’t. Bounce!” Gigi stated as she grabbed her food tray and handed one to Jackie.
There are plenty of rumors about the mess hall food going around, it wasn’t by any means a five star meal but everyone could agree it was better than MRE’s. The girls grabbed their food and went to find a place to sit. They see a bunch of new recruits sitting at a table with the captain getting the rundown.
“Gi look at that private, with the green hair.” Gigi’s eyes wander over.
“She’ll have it dyed by sun down Jackie. You know they only allow natural colours.”
Jackie lets out a giggle and continues to follow Gigi to a table with the rest of their friends.

Friendly Fire - Chapter 6
Jackie’s voice deepened impossibly, rumbling against Jan’s neck. “Oh, Sunshine,” she chuckled darkly, “you don’t want to play these games, not with me.”
But Jan was never very good at following the rules.
Which is undoubtedly what got her into this situation in the first place.
“Why not?”
“Cause I’ll win.” Jackie smiled wickedly, flashing her porcelain-white teeth in the process.
She looked like an animal on the prowl. A predator. And Jan felt acutely aware of the fact that she was the intended prey.
“You won’t.”
Jackie’s hands stopped their movements as the car began to slow and noise from the party could be heard from outside.
“I’ll make you a bet,” Jackie said. “By the end of the night, you’ll let me win - no, you’ll be begging me to.”
Jan maneuvered her way off Jackie’s lap, grabbing her purse with her left and pulling her partner toward the door with her right. “And if I don’t?” She asked cheekily.
Jackie stopped her, turning Jan around to look her deep in the eyes. “You’re in charge,” she said seriously.
Jan blinked at her slowly. “You mean like-”
“Like totally in charge.” Jackie nodded. “I won’t touch anything on the case without your permission. No phone calls to mafia folk, no secret meetings. I’ll defer to you on all matters.”
Jan balked at her statement. “You must be pretty damn sure of yourself.”
Jackie just smiled knowingly.

gigi goode does NOT simp (crygi)
gigi goode is a popular instagram designer and model. her friend, jan, constantly posts photos with a pretty girl that gigi falls head over heels for. when nicky throws a party, and that pretty girl just so happens to be there with jan, gigi knows that her friend was pulling out some sort of scheme.
ao3 link!
Gigi never liked to call herself an ‘influencer’. The word seemed far too snobby, and she really didn’t believe she was all that big of a deal online. Sure, she had a couple hundred thousand (closer to a million, really) followers. But, in the grand scheme of things, did that really matter? People would tire of her one day, they’d find another pretty fashionista to gush over in the span of a year. For the time being, she just wanted to bask in whatever glow she had. The fame would come and go, and soon she’d be left with nothing but the memory of her silly little instagram account.
Speaking of, the blonde haired girl set up her next post. Her caption had been some witty pun made up by her best friend, Jackie, because obviously she wouldn’t think of something so endearing yet stupid at the same time. Gigi usually ripped her captions from stupid things her friends would say, or she would force Nicky to translate some song lyric into french and use that. She wasn’t exactly the most creative when it came to captioning her posts, but she made up for it with the fact that the clothes she wore were all hand designed.
Ever since she could remember, Gigi loved fashion. She loved being able to make things that people loved and wished they owned themselves. She adored the way that people would ask her where she got a garment, and how she could answer that she made it herself. Most inspiration she had came from her mother. She had been a seamstress as well, and as a child Gigi would watch her work. She was fascinated with how easily her mother put together clothes, and she started designing at a young age. It’s what led her to where she was now.
Gigi began posting her outfits on Instagram a year prior. She didn’t expect it to go anywhere, really. So, when she started gaining followers, she was completely shocked. People actually liked her designs and her fashion enough to follow her. Enough to anticipate her next post. It was mind boggling to her.
As she hit post, she scrolled down her Instagram feed. It was mostly filled with her friends. Jackie’s silly little Star Trek stan account that she had insisted Gigi followed, and Nicky’s own fashion account. Jackie had even forced her to follow the girl she had been pining after for years now, Jan, and she could have sworn the girl combusted when she got that follow notification. The direct message that followed consisted of a fully caps locked message, and a whole bunch of spelling mistakes that Gigi couldn’t even count.
Pausing her scrolling, one post in particular caught her eye. It was from Jan, posted about an hour ago. In the photo, Jan was smiling brightly with a taller girl standing by her side. Her bouncy red curls were flying all over the place, and her smile lit up the entire photo. Gigi loved when Jan posted photos like this. She didn’t even know the name of the mystery person, and there was never an account tagged in the photos. Gigi was left wondering who that beautiful girl was, and of course she brought it up everytime she saw Jan.
Gigi could recall the most recent time she brought up the mystery girl. Her, Jan and Jackie were gathered around a busy diner booth, all sharing one basket of fries. It was a silly idea, because Jan could eat far faster than the other two, so by the time Gigi had tuned back into the conversation, half the basket was already gone. She didn’t really mind though. She was aimlessly scrolling through her Instagram, as she does, when another photo of the mystery girl popped up on her feed. She slid her phone towards Jan, quirking an eyebrow.
“Who is this?” Gigi had a rather harsh tone of voice, and oftentimes she sounded meaner than she had intended to. But, Jan knew her well enough to see past that.
“That’s me and my friend, why?” Jan was much more upbeat than Gigi was. Sometimes, the blonde would wonder if Jan had ever felt any emotion aside from happiness.
“Yeah but like, what’s her name? Her Instagram?” Gigi pressed forward.
A grin spread onto Jan’s lips, and she snatched Gigi’s phone up. “Are you being a simp? Are you simping for my friend who you have never met?”
“What does that even mean?” Gigi attempts to snatch her phone away from Jan, all while Jackie sits back and does nothing to help her. Some best friend she is. “Jackie, help me.”
“I want no part in whatever you two are doing.” Jackie throws her hands up, before taking another fry and popping it into her mouth. It’s so like Jackie to not get involved in their silly squabble, it makes Gigi wonder why she loves the girl so much. Except, not really. She knows why.
“Give me my phone! I don’t even know what a simp is.” Gigi stretches across the table until she’s practically kneeling on it. It’s garnered the attention from other occupants in the diner, most of them wondering what the hell this twenty something year old is doing. Gigi pays no mind, finally grasping her phone and sinking back down into her seat.
Jan goes on to explain exactly what a simp is to Gigi, and the girl can't even deny the fact that maybe she is simping a little bit. She doesn’t think it really counts though, she’s never sent this mystery person any money. She doesn’t even know her name for crying out loud.
It’s about a week later, and Gigi still has no answers to who this person is. Jan refuses to tell her, for whatever reason. She has to push those thoughts aside for the moment, because their close friends are throwing a party that evening and she still has yet to get dressed. She moved over to her closet, rifling through her clothes for something suitable. It wasn’t something super fancy, so she could skip out on long gowns. She didn’t really feel like showing up in a cocktail dress either, though.
After searching for an allotted time that she doesn’t really want to admit, Gigi finds the perfect outfit. It’s a turtleneck shirt that hugs her figure like a glove, and it has a beautiful floral print on it. She pairs it with a simple high waisted short, tucking the shirt into them. It makes her waist look skinny, and her legs long. She adds a small little pink scarf tied around her neck. She pairs it with a matching pair of pink boots that make her even taller, and she looks over her outfit in the mirror. It’s perfect for a casual party, plus she looks pretty enough for anyone new she might meet.
Grabbing her purse, she slips her keys into her hand and heads out the door. Thoughts of the mystery girl are completely void from her mind, which was rare. She was glad for the distraction though, and she drove towards Nicky’s house with Clario blasting throughout her car.
Nicky has much more money than Gigi did. Her house was larger than Gigi thought was possible, and the other woman surely didn’t need that much space. It helped though, when she had parties like this. Though it was mostly kept to close friends, other friends were brought around and it made the house bustle with noise. Gigi stepped inside without even knocking, knowing Nicky well enough that she didn’t find it necessary to do such a thing.
As she was crossing the main hall to go find where her friends were tucked away, she saw her. Long legs covered by a pair of worn out denim jeans that were absolutely covered in iron on patches. She was wearing a bright green blouse that hung loosely off her shoulders, and it was unbuttoned enough to reveal the white tank top she was wearing underneath. Bracelets and necklaces clinked together every time the girl moved, and there were the signature red curls adorning her head. She looked even prettier in real life.
Before she could even take a deep breath, Jan was by her side tugging on her wrist. Gigi stumbles a bit, still a little dazed from seeing the mystery girl from all those photos right in front of her. “Hey girl! You drooling? Better pick your mouth up off the floor before she notices!”
The music from the house pumps in her ears, and she can barely hear Jan making fun of her because of it. Barely being the key word here. Gigi shoves her, puffing out her cheeks. “I didn’t know she would be here. You should have told me, you bitch!”
Jan simply laughs, grabbing Gigi’s wrist and pulling her over towards her. She can feel her heart in her throat as they get closer, and Gigi has time to appreciate just how beautiful this girl is. Sure, her fashion is louder than Gigi’s, and she certainly looked more creative than herself. Her features were soft, her lips look fuller in person if that was even possible. Gigi was absolutely blown away, how was it possible for someone to be that pretty?
Before she could get over whatever she was feeling, the mystery girl was right in front of her. Her smile lit up the whole room, and Gigi was finding it difficult to even breathe in the presence of this girl. She was already striking up a conversation with Jan that Gigi was tuning out. In favor of listening, she was simply staring at the girl and hoping that she would be swallowed by the floor. She couldn’t do this, she couldn’t talk to someone this pretty. All the confidence she prides herself on having was washing away. And then, that smile was directed at her, and she thought she might just pass out.
“Hi! I’m Crystal!” Crystal. That was her name. Such a perfect name for such a perfect girl. Gigi thought that Crystal suited her, considering she was about as unique as a crystal. None of them looked perfectly the same, and they all stood out on their own.
“Uh..” Gigi stuttered over her words, looking around the room as if she had forgotten her own name. “Gigi! I’m… Gigi.”
“Pretty name for such a pretty girl!” Crystal shot her a wink, and Gigi felt her heart stop in her chest. The way the music pounded made her feel dizzy, and Crystal giving her that flirty little smile wasn’t helping at all. Gigi simply laughed the compliment off, waving her hand and excusing herself from the two of them. She needed to get some air.
Stepping out onto Nicky’s back patio, Gigi looked down at the pool below her. There was a small staircase that led down to the pool's edge, and with the beginning of summer fast approaching, Nicky had just opened up the pool. The water shone with the sunset, rippling and allowing Gigi to get lost in her thoughts. The mystery girl, Crystal, had actually been here. Jan was probably planning this all along. Gigi wouldn’t be surprised if the reason she kept any and all information a secret was for this exact night. Actually, she guaranteed that was the reason.
Reaching into her pocket, Gigi took out the one object that always brought her comfort. Her phone. She opened her Instagram, scrolling through her notifications until a certain name popped out at her.
crystalemethyd has followed you!
Crystal Methyd. That was her full name. She clicked onto the page, finding herself lost in scrolling through pictures of the beautiful girl. Her follower count was low, and it was clear that this was a personal account and not a business one like Gigi’s. Crystal's vibrant smile captivated her, and she didn’t even hear the door to the patio opening. She was far too engrossed in the current photo of Crystal holding up her cat and laughing at the camera. The way her eyes crinkled slightly was absolutely adorable, and Gigi couldn’t tear her eyes away from it.
“That’s my cat, Tic Tac.” The sudden voice behind her startled her, and Gigi nearly dropped her phone down into the pool water below them. She took a deep breath, locking her phone quickly and pressing a hand to her chest.
“You can’t just sneak up on somebody like that, jeez!” Gigi puffed up her cheeks, though her voice was much softer than she intended. Crystal just laughed quietly at her, holding her arms up.
“I’m sorry! You were just standing out here by yourself, thought you could use some company.” Crystal shrugged, and Gigi had to force herself to look away from those perfectly painted lips. She looked up to the sky, watching the way it melted from a light purple to a beautiful pink. The edges of the sun were setting, and she could see how all the colors blended together to make a masterpiece.
“So…” Crystal broke the silence. “Why are you out here scrolling through my Instagram? Are you some sort of stalker or something?” The playful grin on her lips made Gigi’s heart tremble, and she looked away quickly.
“No! I just noticed you followed me.” She swallowed. Since when was she this awkward? Never in her life had she found herself fumbling for words like this. “I’ve seen pictures of you and Jan before. You were never tagged in any of them.”
“Oh yeah, I didn’t want Jan’s followers like hounding me or something.” Crystal laughed again. “People on the internet are scary. And mean.”
It was the first time since she had seen Crystal that her smile faltered. There was a flash of nervousness, of insecurity in her eyes before it was replaced by that confident aura that seemed to follow her. “Yeah.” Was all Gigi could bring herself to say.
The two of them stood in a comfortable silence for a few minutes, both sneaking glances at the other. Gigi still couldn’t believe how beautiful Crystal was in person, and that fact that she was really standing in front of her was starting to settle in. As if the silence was actually physically hurting her, Crystal brought her hands down onto the railing of the patio, forcing Gigi to look over to her.
“Well, it’s been great standing here and doing nothing.” Crystal starts, and Gigi assumes that she must think she’s the most boring person in the whole world. “But, Jan is going to throw a fit if I don’t help her with Jackie. That’s why I’m here after all. And for this mystery girl who has been simping over me for a while.”
Crystal winks at her, and Gigi feels her entire face go red. Of course Jan had told her about that, because why wouldn’t she. She swore that she would get back at her at some point, probably by using Jackie against her. Really though, she knew that Jackie wouldn’t go along with it.
Crystal grabbed her arm, producing a pen from her pocket. Gigi hadn’t even realized what was happening until she felt the numbers being scrawled across her arm. They were loopy and beautiful, and she never wanted to wash them off. She gasped at the numbers that were clear for anyone to see, and Crystal just grinned at her.
“You do know I have my phone with me, right?” Gigi challenges her, and Crystal just waves her hand.
“Where’s the romance in that, miss Goode?” With those final words, Crystal shoots her one last wink and disappears into the house. Gigi is left standing there, mouth hung open as she tries to process what had just happened. Did Crystal want to go out with her? Was this a date invitation?
Gigi had no idea. But she took her phone out, copied the number into it and put a cute little heart next to Crystal’s contact name. After a few deep breaths, she went back inside to find where the hell Nicky and Jackie were. Plus, she wanted to see whatever scheme Jan had planned to swoop Jackie off her feet.
Gigi never really understood slang, despite her follower count. Most of it went over her head, and she wasn’t well versed in meme culture. But, in the words of Jan, maybe she was a simp.
And maybe that was okay.

Taste of a Poison Paradise, Chapter 11 (Multi) - Joley
Chapter Summary: Nicky takes a big step in her relationship with Jan. Jackie helps Jaida make a new career move. Gigi is forced to face their emotions about what happened with that sketchy client.

The car was tense with silence, Nicky and Brooke Lynn not making eye contact with each other while the latter drove.
“Tell me why I’m being roped into this again,” Brooke Lynn requested as she drove where the GPS on her phone directed her.
“You know goddamn well I can’t drive,” Nicky retorted, though she continued to pointedly avoid making eye contact with her friend.
The blonde rolled her eyes and scoffed. “I also know goddamn well that you could’ve paid a driver to take your ass out to Jersey for this. Now tell me why you asked me instead.”
Nicky looked down and rubbed the back of her neck. “Moral support?” She glanced back over at her, chewing on her lip, “look, I know you think this is a stupid idea, and you think it is too soon to propose, but it’s important to me. Important enough for me to be, you know…”
“Scared?” Her expression softened at the way Nicky nodded meekly. “And you’re sure this is what you want?”
“More than anything.”
Brooke pressed her lips into a line. As much as she doubted this was the right move, she could feel her friend’s sincerity. Besides, in the entire duration of their friendship, she had never seen that woman scared. Nicky was bold and courageous, and if the only thing she feared was losing Jan, that spoke volumes. “Then I guess we’re doing this.” She pulled in front of Jan’s family home, eyes going wide. “Christ, how did this girl end up in a strip club if this is where she’s coming from?”
“Don’t worry about it,” Nicky retorted flatly before getting out of the car - she didn’t know either, but that was beside the point. She took a deep breath as she walked to the door and rang the bell, heart pounding wildly in anticipation. But she did her best to seem nonplussed when Jan’s mother opened the door. “Hi, Mrs. Sport. May I come in for a moment?”
“Of course, and I told you, you can call me Ellen,” she pointed out as she led Nicky inside. “Hey Chuck!” she shouted down the hall, “Jan’s girlfriend is here!”
Nicky looked up as she heard footsteps come down the hall, then cringed when it was followed by a gruff, “did something happen to Jan?”
“No, no, no,” she quickly assured as the three of them sat in the living room. “Jan is perfect… actually, that is why I wanted to speak with you both.” She took a deep breath as she wrung out her fingers, wanting to word her request just right. “I love your daughter. I love her more than I ever thought possible, she means everything to me. And… I am planning on proposing, I would like to have your blessing for it.”
The older couple looked at each other, then back at Nicky. “Oh honey, you two are adults, she’s not our property. You don’t need to ask us for that. We’re touched, though, and you have our support,” Jan’s mom replied.
Sure, Nicky knew she didn’t need a blessing from Jan’s parents – she wasn’t under their control and didn’t need to be given away in any literal sense. But it still made her happy to know they saw her as an acceptable fit for their daughter. “I know, but I appreciate it nonetheless.”
The three of them shared hugs before Nicky saw herself out, sighing in relief once she was back in the car. “Okay, that went better than expected.”
Brooke smiled softly and nodded. “Now all that’s left is the proposal. You have a plan?”
In much brighter spirits and noticeably less tense, Nicky nodded. “I do, just need it to set it in motion.”
——
“Hey,” Jaida greeted as she let herself into Jackie’s office. “I did a target run to stock up on everything the common room and bathroom are low on. We had some extra cash from last week so I went to Bath and Body to get some of that body butter they like so much,” she explained.
Jackie blinked in surprise. “Oh, um, wow. Thank you, you didn’t have to, I–” she furrowed her brows, “did you put everything away already too?”
“Yeah,” she shrugged, “I know how you like the goods set up.”
“You have no idea how attracted to you I am right now.”
Jaida let out a soft laugh. “Only you, Jackie,” she shook her head fondly. “Look, I know I haven’t been dancing as much with the way OnlyFans is paying out, but I don’t want no one thinking you’re only keeping me around ‘cause we’re an item.”
She got up and wrapped her arms around the taller woman’s waist, a small pout on her lips. “You know none of them would ever think that, right? You’ve been here the longest, everyone respects and looks up to you.”
“I know, it’s just… I don’t know,” she sighed, “I haven’t felt like a stripper in a minute, but I still wanna belong here and continue, you know? This place is my home, y’all are my family.”
Jackie nodded in understanding, pressing her lips together as she thought. “How would you feel about being the club’s den mother? The role is usually filled by a former dancer, and I think it’d be a better fit for you. Besides, it takes a little off my plate trying to wear both hats.”
Jaida’s body relaxed and her expression softened. “You trust me to take care of this crew?”
“There’s no one I would trust more.”
“Then you got yourself a den mother,” she decided, then added, “but only if you still call me mommy,” with a wink.
Jackie giggled softly, hiding a blushing face in the crook of Jaida’s neck. “Always, Mommy,” she cooed, tilting her head back up and pressing a kiss to her cheek. She paused for a moment, simply gazing adoringly at the woman in her arms. “Hey,” she prompted softly, “I love you, Jaida.”
Jaida beamed with unbridled affection, kissing her girlfriend tenderly. “I love you too,” she answered against her lips, stealing another few kisses.
A quiet calmness took over the room as the couple basked in each other’s presence, needing nothing more than to be in the company of the woman they loved.
“Um, hi.” Gigi’s voice startled both of them.
“Need a fucking jumpscare warning for them,” Jaida muttered under her breath. “What’s up, Geege?”
Gigi was unfazed by the comment, if they’d even heard it. “Yeah, so, the DA’s office wants me to testify against the dude that stalked me. Not for that, but like, apparently he assaulted and… y’know,” they drew their thumb across their neck, signifying that he’d killed the victim as well. “Apparently he allegedly has a habit of antagonizing sex workers so it’d help establish premeditation if I went on record. Which I will… I just don’t know what to do.”
If it was anyone but Gigi, Jackie would’ve been unnerved by the lack of emotion in their voice, the matter-of-fact tone they had. But she knew them and how processing emotions just didn’t come naturally. “Oh, Geege,” she wrapped a reassuring arm around them. “I’m gonna make sure you’re prepared for this, however we have to figure it out. When do they want you in?”
Despite their empty expression, Gigi leaned into Jackie’s embrace. “Next month,” they answered. “Guess they need time to build the case.”
“That gives us enough time, I think,” Jackie decided with a nod. “But hey, let’s not worry about that right now, yeah? Did you hear that Nicky’s gonna propose to Jan?”
Finally, Gigi cracked a smile. “I’ve heard whispers,” they confirmed. “Must be happening soon, what’s the tea?”
“Nicky don’t wanna tell us shit,” Jaida chimed in. “Wants it to be a surprise, keeps all her notes in French, but I’m pretty sure it’s happening within the week.”
Gigi nodded. “I’m sure it’ll be extra, something to match Jan’s energy no doubt,” they mused.
Jackie chuckled and shook her head, “I’m not sure if that’s possible.”
It was a nice enough note to leave on, but Gigi simply couldn’t turn their mind off for the rest of the night. As soon as they got home, they were holed up in bed, researching every relevant court case, the state laws, watching video after video on what to do on the witness stand.
When Crystal came home from her shift to see them with their eyes glued to the screen, she frowned. “Geege,” she gently pulled them from their thoughts, “it’s three in the morning, you usually go to sleep early on your nights off.”
“I’ll sleep once he’s in jail,” they answered flatly. “People get away with shit like this all the time, I have to do everything I can to get him locked away.”
“Baby,” she shifted closer to her, carefully shutting the laptop before Gigi could object, “this case doesn’t rest on your shoulders. All you have to do is tell the truth. I know you don’t like talking about it, but that’s all you can do.”
Suddenly, much to Crystal’s surprise, Gigi started to cry, something she didn’t think they were capable of. “Maybe if I had said something more, this wouldn’t have happened,” they sniffled. “I kept trying to downplay it because I didn’t want to think about it and now a girl is dead!”
Crystal moved Gigi’s laptop to the bed and pulled them into her arms. “Hey, listen to me. You did what you needed to do to cope. Nothing you could’ve done differently would’ve stopped a bad guy from doing bad things. If it wasn’t her that night, it would’ve been someone else. You are not at fault, not even the slightest, okay?”
Gigi sniffled and hid their face in the crook of her neck. “Logically, I know you’re right. I just feel like shit.”
She nodded, squeezing them gently. “And that’s okay. There’s no right way to feel about this. What’s important is you don’t drive yourself crazy trying to solve a problem you didn’t create.” She pressed a kiss to the top of their head. “I’m gonna be here for you no matter what, we’re gonna ride this case out together.”
They slowly picked their head up. “Thanks, Crystal… I love you, you know that, right? I-I know I don’t say it much, ‘cause I’m shitty with words, but-”
Crystal cut them off with a gentle kiss, then cupped their face so their eyes met. “I know, Geege. I love you too.”
——
Nicky took a deep breath, focusing on keeping her tone as casual and flippant as she could muster. “I think we should take a little vacation this weekend, what do you think?” she asked, rolling onto her side to look at Jan, who was laying next to her in bed, scrolling aimlessly through her phone.
Jan set her phone down and shifted to face her girlfriend, a bright smile on her lips. “That sounds like fun, did you have somewhere specific in mind?”
“I have this beautiful villa in Costa Rica that I haven’t made use of in quite some time. Just you and me and a private piece of island… romantic, no?”
She nodded brightly, leaning over to press a kiss to her lips. “You’re so romantic, Nicky,” she cooed flirtatiously. “I’ll be sure to pack my skimpiest bikinis for the occasion,” she added with a wink.
Nicky kissed back, arms wrapped around Jan’s waist and holding her close. “So gracious, you make it so easy to spoil you.” And, if all went according to plan, she would have the rest of her life to continue spoiling Jan, and nothing made her happier than that.
But that didn’t quell her nerves in the slightest when they boarded the plane to Costa Rica, or when they arrived at the villa. At least the sex they had was enough to take her mind off of her nerves for a little while.
“It’s beautiful out here,” Jan stepped onto the balcony with a purple silk robe tied around her waist. “It’s so quiet, though. I’m so used to living in the city that never shuts up, but this… it’s so peaceful,” she mused.
Nicky smiled, tying her matching red robe on before joining her on the balcony, arms wrapped around her waist. “We can visit any time you would like, my love,” she promised, pressing a kiss to her cheek, “we can go anywhere you want.”
“You’re so good to me,” she cooed warmly. “I know I’ve grown up… privileged, but I really do appreciate everything you do for me. You always go the extra mile, it’s not lost on me.”
“I’m glad,” she replied, resting her chin on Jan’s shoulder. “I’m happy as long as you are,” she added, then glanced back into the room, catching the time on the clock and standing upright. “Not to cut this moment short, but we do have dinner reservations and I don’t want to be late.”
Jan arched her brow as she followed Nicky inside. “Since when do you care about not being late?” she teased as she got dressed.
Nicky’s cheeks flushed and she waited for a beat so her voice didn’t falter. “I can make exceptions from running on French time. Besides, we’ll likely end up making a French exit instead so I can get you back in bed,” she replied with a strained laugh, focusing instead on doing her hair and makeup.
They arrived at an upscale restaurant with a charming patio for outdoor seating, where Nicky elected for the two of them to sit. She ordered an expensive bottle of wine - something that was unsuspicious and on brand for her, and gave Jan some suggestions on what she should order, as her girlfriend was still developing her palette beyond that of a six year old.
“You should just order for me when we go out, that’s what my parents did until I was too old for the kids menu,” Jan recalled as she sipped her wine.
Nicky couldn’t help but laugh. “That explains quite a bit about your eating habits, minette,” she teased affectionately. “Why do you think I’ve made it my life’s mission to get you to eat like a big girl, hm?”
“You’ve broadened my horizons. I’ve even kept my Duolingo streak up, I’ll be able to understand if you’re secretly insulting me when you talk dirty in French before you know it,” she giggled.
She put her hand to her chest, pretending to be aghast at the accusation. “I would never!”
The dinner went as smoothly as every other night out they had. Nicky had relaxed enough to almost forget about her plans. It wasn’t until she had looked into her purse to check her phone that she saw the ring box and her nerves hit her again like a freight train.
“Are you okay, gorge?” Jan asked with furrowed brows, “you look like you just saw a ghost.”
Nicky quickly shut her purse and nodded. “Yes, of course. Just a business message. But don’t worry, I promised no calls while we’re out here,” she assured, then took a long sip of wine and finished up her meal. She took a deep breath, gathering herself while Jan finished her own plate. “Actually, there is something I would like to talk to you about.”
Jan swallowed her last bite and focused on her girlfriend with curiosity, as well as a bit of concern. In her whole time with Nicky, she was fairly certain she had never seen her nervous. Even when they had a disagreement, she kept her cool as they worked things out. But this was different, it looked like Nicky was carefully thinking through every word, every move. “Of course, is something wrong?”
“No, no, not at all,” Nicky assured as she subtly slid her hand back into her purse, this time taking the ring box out, but concealing it as she continued to speak. “Jan… I love you so much, more than I could describe in English, French, or anything else. You’ve made me a better, more compassionate person, I don’t think you have any idea how much I learn from you, how I can appreciate life more now that you’re in it. That’s something all the monies in the world can’t buy.” As she spoke, she slowly rose to her feet and took the few steps needed to bring her to Jan. Once finished, she got down on one knee and opened the box. “Janice Sport, will you marry me?”
Jan was already in tears before Nicky could finish her proposal. She nodded through her tears of happiness until she could calm herself down enough to answer, “yes!” and hold out a trembling hand for her now-fianceé to put the ring on her finger. “Oh my god,” she breathed out, “holy shit.”
Nicky let out a breathless laugh of both fondness and relief. She got to her feet and pulled Jan up as well, kissing her deeply with her arms wrapped around her waist. “I love you so much, I promise I will do my best to be the wife you deserve.”
“You don’t have to worry about that,” Jan assured between kisses. “I’m just happy I get to have you forever, I’m so fucking lucky.”
“Forever,” she echoed, still holding her in a tight embrace. Forever with Jan, she couldn’t think of anything better than that.

Heart of Glass, Mind of Stone (1/?)
[ jiji & methydoll ]
“She’s dead,” Gigi gasped out, bloodshot eyes still refusing to tear away from the body laid out in front of her. The Latina grasped the blonde’s hand, squeezing it to offer some sense of comfort despite the horrifying circumstances.
The room fell silent, a thick, heavy air resting on their shoulders as they all collectively just stood there, allowing their actions and its repercussions to settle into their conscience.
“We’re murderers,” Gigi whispered through her hiccups, and all Crystal could do was nod. They killed her. They committed murder, and all of a sudden it felt like it was much, much harder to breathe.

Synopsis:
Crystal exhaled a deep sigh as she walked her way to her boss’ office, trying to put a smile on her face to fill in for the lack of her boss’. The cold, lifeless exterior of Gigi, the CEO of the Goode Architecture, was waiting for the files she had requested earlier that morning. In just one look, it was obvious that she’s the cold-hearted boss that she was known for. Sure, the glass-walled office provided transparency but the dull exterior of Ms. Goode concealed all the things she had hidden behind the glass doors.

Lunch time shenanigans (like half of the s12 cast)
I wrote a little thing as kinda an intro to an au I'm gonna try and write more of. It's got a good lot of the season 12 girls acting a fool and I wanted to post it.
There was never a dull moment at lunch. Between the chaotic energy of the girls and their loud voices telling each other stories of something amusing that had happened in training.
"So then she got all mad and said it wasn't her fault. Chille. We saw the ball going one way and you going the other," Jaida recounted as the other girls laughed along.
"Girl I don't know what you expect from Brita. That girl admits she's wrong once a decade," Heidi added, causing another wave of laughter to ripple through the group.
"Genuinely, I don't know how you deal with it Jan."
"Genuinely? More like januniely," Rock quickly quipped. Jan's face lit up, erupting into giggles over the pun. Rock felt a surge of pride at making the blonde laugh.
Jan would always end up cackling at Rock's jokes. Something about the other girl’s humour was inhumanly funny. Their shared love of puns was a source of far too many bad jokes that only the two of them would find funny.
"Oh don't start her off girl. Here we go." Nicky said, rolling her eyes at the girls' antics.
She would never understand their obsession with puns. She would claim they were all unfunny but she did know of one person who could make them funny. Her mentality was that if your name could be considered a pun, you must be good at making them. Heidi Nina Closet definitely fit that description, her jokes could be the worst out of their friend group but Nicky would swear that she was the funniest of them all.
Heidi herself seemed amused by the joke. Although not to the same extent as Jan.
"Oh here comes the famous jackle. Y'all aren't ready." Heidi quipped.
Nicky shot her an amused look. Heidi could make puns and she would tell them at any given opportunity. Sometimes they were funny. Heidi smiled at Nicky's response. If she could get the notoriously poised girl to crack up at one of her jokes then she felt she was doing something right.
"Not the jackle!" Crystal laughed along with Heidi, Rock, Jan and Nicky. She turned to Gigi, who seemed to not care for the bad jokes.
"It's funny, you can laugh Georgia."
Crystal almost saw her life flash before her eyes at calling Gigi by her real first name. She couldn't bring herself to be scared of the taller girl’s glare however. Gigi could never be intimidating to Crystal after knowing how she would never do anything or follow through on any of her threats.
"Crystal Elizabeth so help me god. Don't you dare call me that unless you want me to hurt you!" Gigi maintained her best cold glare, but it cracked as the green-haired girl shot her back a grin.
"You would never! You love me too much."
Gigi laughed, while her insides twisted in a familiar warmth. If only Crystal knew how much that was true.
Watching the stupidity from the sidelines, Jadia turned to Jackie, who was watching it with a smile.
"Isn't it funny how they all don't realise they like each other? Our friends are stupid."
Jackie snickered at Jaida’s comment, briefly reflecting on how they all were just confused gay girls who didn't know how to express their feelings. Deep down she had a suspicion Jaida was like the rest of them but she would never let such a vulnerable part of her get seen. Unless they were alone.
"Enjoy it while it lasts. At least our children are getting along."
The running joke of Jackie and Jaida being the parents of the group wasn't unfounded. Jackie was the responsible one. She was organised and cared so deeply for all her friends she would always try and help. One comment from Crystal about her being the mother of the group had stuck, but she didn't seem to mind and happily accepted the title.
Jaida got cast as the irresponsible mother.  She was more mature than some of the others (although that wasn't hard compared to the likes of Rock, Jan and Crystal) but seemed to revel in watching the chaos of their friends going about their lives. Not that she wouldn't protect one of their group within a heartbeat, but she did enjoy watching the likes of Jan trying to quell an angry group of players at soccer training or Gigi making a fool of herself acting like she didn't have a huge crush on Crystal.
"For now Miss Cox, for now."

Summary: Jaida, Jan, Jackie, Crystal, Nicky, and Gigi are childhood best friends who grew up going to summer camp together. Now, they’re all in college and it’s their turn to be counselors at the camp that brought them together.
Tumblr media
If Jan’s life were a movie, she swore Walking on Sunshine would have been blasting at full volume as she got out of bed that morning. She’d dance around her room as it played, getting ready for the day in record time before flying down the stairs to go meet her best friend outside.
But her life wasn’t a movie, so instead Jan woke up to a loud banging on her bedroom door and the unmistakable sound of Jaida and her younger brother screaming at each other in the hallway as something hit the wall with a thud. Jan had just enough time to groan and pull her blanket over her head before Jaida was in her room, dropping onto the bed as her hands grabbed Jan’s shoulders to shake them.
“Wake up sleeping beauty! You and I have got to get on the road in three hours, and I know for a fact you haven’t packed shit yet!” If Jan hadn’t still been half asleep, she would have laughed at Jaida’s words, or attempted to defend herself by saying she had at least made sure to pack her hairbrush into her suitcase after having forgotten the item the past two summers in a row. Instead, she just let out another groan and attempted to burrow further into her bed.
Jaida made a disapproving tsk, tsk noise before abruptly tearing the blanket off of Jan, which caused Jan to immediately let out a shriek. Her hands flew to try to grab the blanket back, but it was no use - Jaida had thrown the blanket onto the floor, and was chuckling to herself as Jan scowled up at her.
Jan reluctantly sat up, but not without grabbing a pillow to hit Jaida’s shoulder with. It was Jaida’s turn to glare at Jan, but it didn’t last long, because next thing Jan knew she was being physically pulled up out of bed by Jaida and pushed towards the bathroom.
“Go. Get. Ready!” Jaida insisted, giving Jan one final push as she stumbled into the bathroom, catching herself on the sink so she wouldn’t trip. By the time Jan looked at herself in the mirror, her fatigue had begun to dissipate, instead replaced by a bubbling sense of excitement as the realization settled over her. Within a few hours’ time, she and Jaida would be embarking on their annual mini road trip to Camp Daybreak. Three hours on the highway and another hour driving through backwoods, and they would be back at their home away from home, reunited with friends they had known since they were little kids. To say Jan was excited was an understatement, the blonde letting out a squeal before turning the shower on.
No matter what happened, she was determined to make it a good summer.
****
By the time Jan got back to her bedroom, patting her hair dry with a towel as she walked, Jaida had laid out half the things she’d need for camp on her bed and had taken up residence sitting at Jan’s vanity. Jan’s eyes quickly scanned the piles before throwing the damp towel into her laundry hamper, impressed by Jaida’s work. She had laid out all of Jan’s old camp shirts, pulled out damn near every pair of shorts she owned, and had tossed a couple pairs of sneakers into a heap on the floor beside Jan’s bed.
“Someone was busy,” Jan mused, leaning against the doorframe as Jaida rolled her eyes with a playful smirk tugging at her lips.
“Well someone had to make sure you had clothes to wear this summer. I’m not letting you steal my damn shorts again, Janet,” Jaida quipped back, pointing to a pair of denim shorts she had set beside her on the vanity for emphasis.
“In my defense, I could’ve sworn I had already given those back to you,” Jan laughed as she held her hands up in mock surrender.
“Child,” Jaida drawled as she shook her head. “Just finish packing bitch, I’m gonna go raid your folks’ pantry for snacks so we don’t have to stop at some sketchy gas station 10 minutes into the trip.”
Jan watched as Jaida stood up and padded out of the bedroom, not without playfully slapping her ass as she passed by. Jan let out a surprised yelp followed by laughter, shooting Jaida a look as she swatted at her friend’s arm.
“Keep your damn hands to yourself!” Jan called out, shaking her head lightheartedly. “Save that hanky-panky for when Crystal’s around!”
Jan watched as Jaida stopped dead in her tracks at the top of the stairs and slowly turned, her face scrunched up in one of her infamous death stares. She locked eyes with Jan, and before Jan had a chance to react, Jaida was charging at her, muttering about how she was gonna kick Jan’s ass for mentioning Crystal because that was a one-time thing.
Jan let out a shriek, running into her room in an attempt to escape her friend’s wrath. But then Jaida grabbed her by the waist and tackled her onto the bed, the two girls landing on top of the stacks of clothing with Jaida on top of Jan. They locked eyes for a split second before the pair dissolved into a fit of laughter, Jaida allowing herself to completely collapse on top of Jan.
Their laughter stopped the moment they heard someone clear their throat just outside Jan’s bedroom door. Both girls immediately looked towards the door to see Jan’s little brother, Jared, standing in the hallway, still in his pajamas.
“Gay,” he deadpanned, rolling his eyes before walking away without another word.
“Jared!” Jan gasped, throwing one of her pillows at the doorway in vain, the pillow falling to the floor without ever even coming near hitting Jan’s brother.
“You’re a little bitch, Jared!”
“Jaida!”
****
Once Jan had finished packing, she and Jaida began dragging her bags down the stairs to load them into the back of Jaida’s old Wagoneer. One suitcase, two duffle bags, and a backpack later, and they had managed to stuff everything into the back with Jaida’s multitude of bags.
“Damn, Jai, how much did you pack?” Jan teased, closing the hatch on the back of the old Jeep.
“Just the essentials,” Jaida replied with a shrug. She leaned against the side of her hand-me-down car, twirling the keys around her index finger as Jan moved around the side of the car.
“Mhmm, sure,” Jan hummed, shaking her head in disbelief.
Before Jaida had a chance to make a witty comeback, Jan’s parents stepped out onto the front porch to wish the two girls a final goodbye and a safe trip. Jan took the opportunity to run up the steps and hug them both; Jaida, on the other hand, gave them a friendly wave before sliding into the driver’s seat of her car and turning the vehicle on.
Evidently their hugs were taking longer than Jaida anticipated, because soon Jan could hear the distinct sound of Jaida’s horn ringing through the air. She let out a laugh as her dad yelled at Jaida to give them all one more minute, then they could go.
“Have a good summer, honey,” Jan’s mother hummed, giving her one final squeeze.
“I will! I promise,” Jan reassured her, hastily pressing kisses to both of her parents’ cheeks as she murmured her final goodbyes to them. It felt weird for Jan to be spending her final summer of college away from her family, but at the same time, she couldn’t imagine spending it any other way. Camp Daybreak had made her into the person she was then, and without the camp, she doubted she ever would have become such close friends with Jaida - or any of the others she and her best friend were set to meet up with in a few hours.
Flashing her parents one last smile, Jan turned and eagerly darted towards Jaida’s car before hopping into the passenger’s seat.
“Camp Daybreak, here we come!” She squealed excitedly, drumming her hands against the dashboard as Jaida pulled out of the driveway.

It wasn’t until they stopped at a gas station about an hour from Jan’s house that she realized she had still managed to forget something, even with Jaida helping her pack.
“Damn it!” She exclaimed, making Jaida stick her head out of the window of her car, glancing at Jan beside the gas pump. “I forgot to pack a bathing suit.”

And The Livin’s Easy (Chapter Six)
“How long do you think it’ll take until some shit goes down between Vanessa and Brooke?” Monique asks her girlfriend nonchalantly, as she nudges on her drink. Monét laughs, trying to keep it down not to draw attention to them.
There’s definitely some tension in the room, especially between Brooke and Vanessa, that glance at each other when they think no one’s looking. They’re in opposite corners of the room, with Brooke talking with Plastique, who has a smile plastered on her face at all times despite the situation, and Vanessa staying mostly by April’s side, though she drifts to talk with Jaida and the girl she brought —Jan, apparently— from time to time.
Yvie is floating around, striking a conversation with everyone and trying not to interrupt whatever Brooke and Plastique have going on.
Monét and Monique just stay out of the drama, watching everything go down as they snicker and sip on their drinks.
“Three more vodka sodas; give or take a strawberry daiquiri, and you’ll have Vanessa asking for the aux cord to play ‘Tusa’,” Monét replies after quickly scanning the room. Monique laughs in that dorky way that makes Monét’s heart flutter, and she smiles.
“I don’t know, ‘Nét, Crystal’s not here. You know Vanessa doesn’t like strawberry daiquiris unless they’re prepared by her,” Monique adds, thoughtfully. Monét hums in agreement, taking a long sip from her drink.
“Well, whatever happens, happens.”
