Notes:

1.) This list is subject to change, so if you see it off a reblog, please check the link to this post here. At some point this will probably stop updating, as we tend to forget to. Before we kick off the showdown there will be another post. Characters are under the cut, the list is currently unorganized, but might get organized later.

2.) If you see a character on here and you want to submit propaganda for them please feel free to, there is no submission limit or character per fandom limit. Here is the link to the submission form. Characters from the prior round of this showdown are fair game except Toph, Toothless and Hiccup. Additionally, most characters from @gay-disabled-characters-showdown are also fair game.

3.) The amount of submissions will not affect how likely a character is to get into the showdown. If you submitted a character and they are not here, we probably just haven’t gotten to verifying your character yet. If it’s been more than 3-4 days since you submitted the character you can shoot us an ask as to why they are not on the list, it might be an error on our part.

4.) When will submissions close? We have no fucking clue. At the earliest sometime October, as we are still working on setting up over @gay-disabled-characters-showdown which is still accepting submissions here. Additionally, as we need to write image descriptions it takes us a ridiculous amount of time to get set up.

5.) If you think a character doesn’t qualify you can send us an ask or leave a comment, and we can show you the explanation we have for the character as to how they count.

7.) If there is a character or media on here you think is problematic you can send us an ask and we will evaluate. That being said it’s not about being the best most perfect representation.

Writing six chapters ahead of posting on the Warlord fic is a special kind of torture.

Like... it’s good, too! I get to go ‘oh, yeah, that thread should be woven back through’ and add details into the yet-unposted chapters to strengthen the story I’m trying to tell, which is great, but it is also very much torture.

I’m here finishing up a chapter and my brain is banging pots and pans screaming “DID YOU LIKE THE THING I DID WITH THE THING, READERS” but no, there are no readers yet. (except for my dearest piper, without whose cheer-reading I would be bereft).

I think I’m over the hump with this fic, though. I’ve got a clear idea of the scenes leading to the planned happy ending. I’ve got this. It’s soft and kind hours 24/7 en la casa del voidbeast, now.

I’ve just gotta not implode before I get it all posted.

What's in the ARGs currently is side content for their respective episodes and a journal by someone in the cult, presumably either Skid's dad or a previous leader before him. They're ain't nothing about the funny flute man or people being lead astray en masse

And maybe it was because the fandom was smaller at the time, but I never saw anyone go "welp they're dead pack it up" at the plusie ad??

And honestly like you said there's great potential in a post-Piper AU scenario, either complete isolation for Skid or a cool mystery for the remaining townsfolk to solve before more of them disappear. But it's just that, an au, something that can do whatever the hell it wants canon be damned

An au based on the piper ad sounds super cool, but again mainly as an au and not as like,,, the main fucking series lmao. It's a very cool idea to explore as a fic or comic series but there's just so much left with the show itself it would feel really fuckin weird and out of nowhere if suddenly 80% of the cast was just wiped clean off the fucking planet.

And honestly yeah I don't really remember anyone seeing the plushie ad and thinking it was canon and assuming the spooky bois are fuckin dead forever lmao. This whole "ads r real and canon" mindset is somewhat new from what I've seen (I could be wrong tbf) and it's almost like an echo chamber. Like one person on pisstok said it and so many people started echoing the same damn idea it's almost impossible to get them to just chill and think about it for a second!!

The dispatcher was slamming their head into the desk repeatedly and throwing their keyboard into the wall until all the keys fell out. They sat back down into their rolling chair and kept pressing the lever until the seat broke. Then, they threw the chair at the wall, breaking through the drywall. The sound of Dru Hill's Greatest Hits album could be heard emanating from the other side of the drywall.
