Are the writers going to do us like that??
Jin I Soo and Lee Ganghyun go from bickering like kids to comforting each other at their lowest. Ganghyun goes from telling him to go home to texting him to come to the station because they got a new case. Ganghyun takes Jin I Soo to her comfort place so that he can clear his mind after learning the truth about his mother's death. I Soo saying "You trust your father, and I trust you" to Lee Ganghyun when she was on probation and desperately wanted to prove that her father was innocent and that he was framed. Ganghyun scolding him because he put himself in danger and I soo trying not to repeat that. And most importantly what about the fact when they almost drowned together while trying to arrest Bori?? What are you gon say about Jin I soo cupping her face and telling her to believe in herself when she told him that she couldn't swim ??? Carrying her over the water the entire time she was unconscious while he was struggling to breathe and stay over the water himself. Are the writers really going to do us like that?? T_T
Tumblr media
"LEE GANGHYUN WAKE UP"
P.S : Jin I Soo being jealous over Park Junyoung and Lee Ganghyun and then asking Junyoung if they shared any feelings or ever dated and then getting flustered on being asked if he liked Ganghyun was the cutest thing everrr.

2. Look at YoonA’s latest projects line-up, everything is going well for her ㅋㅋㅋ 7. All are doing really wellㅋㅋ 8. I thought YoonA wasn’t good at acting when she was Saebyuk (in her first lead drama ‘You Are My Destiny’) but these days her acting is really good. Not just as an acting idol, but she's just good at it (acting). ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I thought IU was good since the drama ‘Pretty Man’ that starred Jang Geunsuk, and for Suzy, Anna, is the best... 9. I watched YoonA well in ‘King The Land’ ㅋㅋ She was a perfect fit ㅋㅋ 11. What? These are all the people I like!!!!! Everyone is pretty and their acting is great. By the way, Yoona's recent works are crazy, they're all successful ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 12. YoonA was so cute in ‘King The Land’ and her acting is so good ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 13. I watched all three of YoonA's latest projects. They were all good. So good. ㅋㅋㅋㅋShe is soaring especially in ‘King The Land’. 15. YoonA is also good at acting and is building up her filmography well. 16. Wow, just look at YoonA’s recent works ㅋㅋ 17. YoonA is really good at comical acting
19. YoonA, you acted so well, so natural ㅋㅋㅋ I'm looking forward to your next work. 20. I’m convinced (I agree) ㅋㅋㅋㅋEveryone's acting is good, and YoonA's batting score (percentage of her success rate) is especially good lately. 22. Wow, it looks like there aren't any (i)dols to remove (meaning OP agrees with all on the list). But it is surprising that Jung Eunji and Sooyoung aren't here.. I guess it's because there are a lot of female idols who are good at acting. 26. YoonA acted so well in ‘King the Land’ㅋㅋㅋ 27. Wow, 1st place for both men and women are ‘King The Land’ male and female leads ㅋㅋㅋ 28. It's freaking that both YoonA’s dramas and movies did well. The line-up of her recent works is insane ㅋㅋㅋ 30. YoonA’s latest works line-up are insaneㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 31. Yoona’s career is insaneㅋㅋ 32. It’s the same with male idol rankings, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places are the ones that always come up when acting idols are mentioned ㅇㅇ 33. YoonA's works line-up is insane 34. I really enjoyed watching Yoong’s ‘King The Land’, it’s my life drama ㅠ 35. Only the people who should have been chosen were chosen. 36. Nodding (in approval) ㅋㅋ 39. Oh, there are all these people who I thought they were good ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 40. They all act well... 41. Agreed 42. They are all good at acting and pretty 44. Her latest work ‘King The Land’, ‘Big Mouth’, ‘Confidential Assignment’ shivering (because of the awesome line-up) 45. YoonA's acting was really good in ‘King The Land’. She was just like Cheon Sarang herself👍 47. It feels like the differences in acting skills among the actresses aren't that big. The 5 people seem to be famous enough to be in the top 5 in terms of influence and reputation. 48. Do well, everyone 49. YoonA is really good 50. I acknowledged 51. They are all well-known faces. 52. I saw YoonA for the first time through ‘King The Land’ and she was really good. 57. YoonA was really good in ‘King The Land’. 63. I clicked in the article shouting ‘YoonA’ 65. Lim Yoona's latest work is insane...;; 68. These are all people I like 69. The votes are more evenly distributed here, so the difference in votes is not that big... The male idols were overwhelming. 71. I came in thinking YoonA would be here, but she ended up in first place ㅋㅋㅋ. 72. (Comment deleted at time of translation) 74. YoonA's acting in ‘The K2’, IU’s in ‘My Mister’, and Suzy's in ‘Anna’ were really, really good. I'm curious about the acting of this three people in their 30s, 40s, and 50s. 76. But this was released yesterday morning and suddenly both articles (male and female) came out as ‘hot’ topics. 79. To be honest, I was sad because I thought YoonA's (drama) filmography was bad, but these days, everything is really good.. ㅜㅜ And the movie filmography is good too. 80. I acknowledge everyone in this article, but it's a shame that Jung Eunji, Han Sunhwa and Sooyoung weren’t included. I really enjoyed Sooyoung's ‘Not Others’. 85. YoonA seems to choose her works well. 88. (Comment deleted at time of translation)
90. Lim Yoona’s form is crazy!!!!!!! 92. (replied to 69th comment) Oh, it looks like they got votes from all over. Female acting idols are also good at acting. 94. Oh, they are all good actors ㅋㅋㅋI also liked Jung Eunji, Sooyoung and Sojin ㅋㅋ 100. YoonA, IU and Suzy's singing and acting careers are all top notch 101. I acknowledged all of them 105. I thought about Bona, but the acting idols in the article are all very good 106. I also thought about YoonA's ‘EXIT’, but it is not her most recent work. 107. I enjoyed everything YoonA has released recently. 108. I came in the article thinking of YoonA. 109. YoonA❤️ I like her very much 112. King-jeong (t/l note: It is a slang to of 킹 (king)+ 인정 (agreed), to describe being full agreement of something) 113. I approved 115. YoonA’s recent career seems really good 117. Approved approved. 119. YoonA and IU, king-jeong. I want to watch Suzy’s drama, why isn’t it coming out yet? 120. We selected the acting idols who showed the greatest success this year and who we are looking forward to in the future. ----------------------- This is the survey topic. 121. I think YoonA’s career is so good 122. I heard about ‘King The Land’ being a huge hit on Netflix and ‘Big Mouth’ also did well, hence it is a back-to-back hit. 125. I acknowledged it 127. (replied to 120th comment) It is in the text ㅋㅋ 128. As expected, YoonA! 129. Ah, YoonA’s acting is good. 130. I acknowledge all of them 131. Approved 132. Ah, I approved of everyone listed here 133. YoonA is good 134. YoonA seems to be in good form these days. Personally, I think Suzy’s ‘Anna’ was the best ever, so I hope Suzy do another such genreㅠㅠ 135. Good 136. Approved 137. I acknowledged everyone listed here, there are people who I am disappointed that they are not on the list, but there is also no one in the list that I objected too. 138. YoonA’s filmography is good. All her works are very good, and she acts very well too. 140. Everyone's form is good, but the acting skills of the female idols are ambiguous. 141. I like YoonA so much 143. (Replied to 140th comment) What?;; As expected, all the malicious commenters are like sh*t. All the 5 females here have a besting acting of their life for at least once, so what are you talking about? 144. Yes 147. IU and Nana are good. No, all the 5 people listed here are goodㅋㅋㅋ 148. For the female acting idols, the votes are considered more evenly distributed. 149. (Replied to 140th comment) ? 152. I’m looking forward to YoonA’s movies and dramas doing well. I’m also curious about the ‘2 O’clock Date’! 153. I agreed with all listed in the article, Nana’s acting is really good. 156. I like Lim YoonA to the point of dying ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ 157. King-jeong 158. YoonA is good. I thought her acting was good after watching her works recently 160. YoonA is so likeable these days. I've seen all of her recent works. Now, she is a ‘trust and treasure’ actress.
161. Wow, all of them are K-pop talent. 163.The 1st place for both male and female are Junho and YoonA, ‘King The Land’ couple is really good ㅠㅠ I hope they both do better. The chemistry was good, and their acting was good in ‘King The Land’ 167. King-jeong to all on the list
168. Wow, 1st place is YoonA, congrats congrats!! 169. The movies and dramas YoonA starred in, all received great success, so amazing 171. I clicked in the article shouting YoonA ㅋㅋㅋㅋI hope things go smoothly~ 175. YoonA deserves the 1st place. Her drama and movie careers are all good. 176. Regardless of her career, Yoona really showed off her acting chops with her ‘Confidential Assignment’ and ‘EXIT’, and she did well in King the Land as well. Nana and Kim Sejeong are rather unexpected, and I think Han Sunhwa or Jung Eunji are better. 178. All of them have improved a lot in their acting so it’s even better 180. I feel like all the idols mentioned in the original text and Sooyoung and Eunji are good at acting. 185. YoonA 189. YoonA has a good way of choosing projects ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 191. These are the actors who were active 'this year', but it seems like it includes only those who can be included... YoonA did well in ‘King The Land, and IU and Suzy are the queens of immense popularity who respond right away in surveys like this even if they didn't have any hit films or activities this year. (Just like stars who are ranked even if they are inactive that year when Gallup selects the best OO of the year...) Nana becomes popular because of ‘Mask Girl’ recently. 193. YoonA! 194. Even though Nana is really good, I recognize all 5 people there. 196. (Comment deleted at time of translation) 197. YoonA was such a perfect fit for ‘King The Land’ this time, so pretty 198. I'm waiting for YoonA's next work 200. YoonA! 201. Acknowledged acknowledged 204. I agreed with all the line-up here 205. Waiting for YoonA's next work 208. Line-up approved... 209. No, initially I thought how could Sejeong be in 5th place only, but as I scrolled lower (to reveal the top 4), the more I understood. 212. I only saw YoonA's works for a few seconds in passing, so I had the prejudice that I couldn't get into the character because I heard YoonA's voice that I used to hear.. I recently watched Exit belatedly and was so surprised that it turns out okay. I finally understand why her movies are so successful and how she gets casted so consistently. 214. YoonA is good! Han Sunhwa too!! 215. YoonA is really good 216. Even though I’m not a fan of all five of them, I acknowledged. 217. Oh.. everyone who are good are gathered here 218. Soshi is YoonA, but I was also surprised that Sooyoung was better at acting than I thoughtㅋㅋ 219. ‘King The Land’ influence is huge. Both sides (male and female) came in first place 220. YoonA is really good ㅋㅋㅋㅋ I watched ‘Big Mouth’ and ‘King The Land’ recently, and she did well in both dramas. YoonA would be a perfect match for a little bit of ‘Big Mouth’ – ‘King the Land’ – ‘EXIT’, a bright, cheerful, confident and u undaunted not in a villain way character 221. The experts voted but there are people here trying to start a fight so ridiculousㅋ What is it? ㅋㅋㅋ 224. They are all good 225. YoonA’s latest line-up projects are really awesome ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
226, Everyone are gathered here, they are all good 227. Oh, YoonA approved 229. Really, YoonA is really good. I think she has star quality, good screen control, and acting skills. 231. If its YoonA, its king-jeong. 232. YoonA is building up her filmography for movies and dramas well. Her acting in ‘Confidential Assignment’, ‘Big Mouth’, ‘King the Land’ were really good. I admit her acting in ‘Miracle’ was also really good. 233. (Replied to 232nd comment) All same as you and ‘EXIT’ too!! 235. Oh my, YoonA's acting was really good. 236. YoonA, approved 238. Agreed 239. YoonA, approved approved 240. YoonA, approved 241. YoonA, I really enjoyed ‘King The Land’. So lovely ㅠ 243. Hehehe YoonA>< 244. All are good 245. Acknowledged 246. YoonA, approved 248. YoonA, approved 249. Oh, they are all good. And popular too. 258. Even if there are people who should be added in, but there aren’t people that should be removed. I went ‘King-jeong King-jeong’ while scrolling down the list. 259. I watched every project of YoonA that comes out after ‘EXIT’. Really, she is good at acting in both movies and dramas. 260. Agreed 261. It's a shame that YoonA keeps getting underestimated because of the disgusting keyboard warriors. 263. I clicked in thinking of YoonA. 264. Didn’t YoonA filmed a drama in the early days of her debut, she did really well in that too. 265. Agreed, YoonA and Suzy are good at acting 266. YoonA and Suzy are both good at acting 267. Agreed 268. YoonA did really well 269. Agreed for all 270. When will YoonA's next work come out ㅠㅠ I want to see it soon 271. YoonA has become someone that can be trust and treasure (to watch). I am waiting for her next work.

22.04.14 From “Whatever Seller Calls Is The Price” Nude Photobook to Lee Min-woo's Surprise Video Call, 24-Year-Old Shinhwa and Fans Shared Laughters and Tears Together On ‘King of Jujeop‘ (News Compilation)
Tumblr media
On April 14th, three members of Korea's longest-running group Shinhwa, Kim Dong-wan, Junjin, Andy and their fanclub, Shinhwa Changjo, appeared as main guests on KBS 2TV's 'King of Jujeop'.
SS501's Heo Youngsaeng, Stray Kids' Hyunjin and Seungmin also came as guests. Heo Young-saeng shared "I danced to Shinhwa's 'Hey, Come On!' at the festival in my senior year of junior high. The cheers and popularity I received at that time made me dream to become a singer like Shinhwa." Hyunjin added, "Shinhwa are like the seniors of all seniors. It wasn’t a question for me to fall in love with their works.”
Next, a video of a family of a mother and daughter was shown. The 10-year-old daughter follows her mom and becomes Shinhwa fan. "I have Shinhwa goods on the bookshelf," the young fan shared as she showed her room full of Shinhwa goods.
The Shinchang junior made everyone laugh when she said that Eric is more handsome than her father.  "My most favorite member is Uncle Eric. He's so handsome. Second place is Minwoo, 3rd place Junjin, 4th place Andy, 5th place Hyesung, and 6th place is Uncle Kim Dongwan," she continued her ranking. Dong-wan showed his sweet side to the 10-year-old fan when they were in the studio afterward but failed to change her mind about his position.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Her mother, one of original Shinhwa fans, revealed past goods that are like 'relics'.  As the mother continued to show some of the 'rare items', attention was specially drawn to the semi-nude photobook, the first ever nude photobook of idols in Korea. The photobook caught Park Mi-sun‘s attention. "The goods I've been collecting since I was young are quite impressive," said host Park Mi-sun. When Lee Tae-gon asked her about the price of the semi-nude photobook, she surprised with, "Whatever seller calls is the price."
"They were all really naked, especially Eric," Lee Tae-gon commented as he saw the photobook through VCR.  It caused laughter as it showed Eric's behinds. Kim Dongwan chimed in with "Eric’s butt is cute."  SS501 Heo Young-saeng drew laughter as he added, “I will remember this every time I see them from now on.”  Park Mi-sun, who is a fan of Eric, covered her face in embarrassment.
When asked, 'Who is the best among these naked people?' the Shinchang mother said, "It’s Shin Hye-sung oppa. He looks like he came out of a cartoon. He's tall and has a handsome face. He's slim but has good stamina," she laughed.
Tumblr media
Among the goods, she held out a badge that had all the members in it. "This was when they received the grand prize. I cried a lot back then. They left the agency (SM Ent.) and went through so much hardship to finally receive the grand prize for 'BRAND NEW'," she explained and burst to tears.  Seeing the video clip, Seungmin said, "From her tears, I realized her love for Shinhwa (as a fan) was deeper than I thought."
Her husband seemed jealous of such love. Later it showed he was making seaweed soup in the kitchen. "It's the 24th anniversary of Shinhwa. It’s their 24th birthday," replied the husband as he continued boiling seaweed soup. Andy, Dongwan, Junjin were lost for words.
A Shinhwa Changjo couple also appeared on the show. The couple sang Shinhwa’s songs at their wedding and used them as medley. The couple's mother-in-law, who is a fan of Kim Hee-jae (trot prodigy), was also in the studio. "She would argue with me about wearing orange knowing that I am a big fan of Kim Hee-jae. And not just to anyone. Me, her mother-in-law!” mother-in-law commented.  The Shinchang husband boasted that he got 1st place in a contest during military service by dancing to Shinhwa's ‘Perfect Man’ and he followed up with an imitation of Shin Hye-sung's dance.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The orange wave that filled the studio was spectacular. Shinhwa appeared and performed 'Haegyeolsa' and 'BRAND NEW'.
Shinhwa fans brought back memories of having to book reservation at the banks for Shinhwa’s concerts. They agreed that the 2001 Guerrilla concert was the best stage of all time. Junjin explained,  “That was in 4th year since our debut. It was a time when the members told each other to work harder on behalf of Andy (who was absent).”  Dongwan, Junjin, Andy and the fans all wiped away tears as they re-watched the 2001 Guerrilla concert.
“A month after (Guerrilla concert), there was a fan meeting at Jamsil Stadium. I could hear my name as I got closer to the location. I saw the members sitting in the waiting room, extremely nervous and not knowing what to say. We just exchanged little kisses out of nowhere," Andy recalled.
Heo Young-saeng commented that, "I wondered how the hyungs are active for such a long time; and they told me to 'just fight'." Kim Dong-wan said, “I used to fight when I were young. As I get older, I just sulk about it."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
To the fans in the studio, Dongwan said, "Everyone here has aged quite a bit. I hope you take care of your health so you can scream when the concerts are back." Junjin said, "I hope six of us to gather again soon. I hope the fans’ thoughts and ours are the same." Andy made the fans cry when he said "I love you."
Before the end of the show, Lee Min-woo appeared in a surprise video call. "Shinhwa Changjo, are you doing well? I want to see you just by hearing your voice. The 24th anniversary is like a dream. It's possible to come this far because of Shinhwa Chanjo," he said.

6 History Related KDramas You Need to Watch
I am a huge fan of historical Dramas. But I believe it is rather hard to find one that fits your watchlist. There are political dramas, romantic comedies and Dramas based on true Stories. Whether you like classic KDrama Plotlines or not so typically Stories I am sure you will find something on this list.
Please keep in mind that this list is only made in my opinion and from what I truly thought about these Dramas. If you have any recommendations for other dramas that fit in this list, please let me now!
*I only included the directors of the Dramas
- The Last Empress [황후의 품격] // 2018 by Joo Dong-Min
A Drama that plays in our period of time but can nonetheless be called a history drama. It displays how a monarchy would function in modern South Korea. The Story is about an unsuccessful and naive musical actress who marries the Emperor of the Korean Empire. Her character seems clumsy and featherbrained but being the main act in this drama her role is bond to change. This series starts of rather light and comedic however it'll change in later episodes as the Plot develops into an investigation storyline.
Main Actresses and Actors: Jang Na-Ra as Oh Sunny // Choi Jin-Hyuk as Na Wang-Sik // Shin Sung-Rok as Emperor Lee Hyuk
- The Tale of Nokdu [조선로코 - 녹두전] // 2019 by Kim Dong-Hwi
This Drama plays in the Joseon Dynasty and tells the story about Nokdu, a young man who wants to find the truth about his birth. On his way he disguises himself as a woman in order to enter a widow village where the answers to his questions lie. Given that this Story is a romantic comedy we also have our female lead character, a young woman living in a Kisaeng house next to the widow village. As the Plot develops, more and more interesting characters are introduced but the storyline lacks cliffhangers and overall interesting turning points. Nonetheless it's a light and fun to watch Drama.
Main Actresses and Actors: Jang Dong-Yoon as Jeon Nok-Du // Kim So-Hyun as Dong Dong-Joo // Kang Tae-Oh as Prince Neungyang
- My Country: The new Age [나의 나라] // 2019 by Kim Jin-Won
This is by far my favorite History Drama. The story revolves around two good friends but their different ranks in society leads them on two different paths. It's a story about a big revolution but it isn't the outcome that is important. This Plot has everything: Epic fighting scenes, an unbreakable friendship, an interesting plot with excellent cliffhangers and unpredictable turning points. All characters are unique and have their own plotlines which makes you even more anticipated to watch. The lead actors are well known figures and fit the two main characters perfectly.
Main Actresses and Actors: Yang Se-Jong as Seo Hwi // Woo Do-Hwan as Nam Sun-Ho // Kim Seol-Hyun as Han Hee-Jae
- Rookie Historian Goo Hae-Ryung [신입사관 구해령] // 2019 by Kang Il-Soo & Han Hyun-Hee
A romantic drama about a rookie historian and an abandoned prince who secretly works as an author of love novels. Although it doesn't start of very interesting the many small plotlines lining to an connected end make it worth to watch till the last episode. Fans of Astro will definitely have a joy watching this cute drama, with Cha Eun-Woo as the main lead and adorable clumsy prince. But also the historical background is rather interesting as we don't see this kind of topic often. After all it's more a romantic comedy than epic story but still entertaining to watch.
Main Actresses and Actress: Cha Eun-Woo as Yi Rim // Shin Se-Kyung as Goo Hae-Ryung // Park Ki-Woong as Prince Yi Jin
- The King: Eternal Monarch [더 킹: 영원의 군자] // 2020 by Baek Sang-Hoon, Jung Ji-Hyun & Yoo Je-Won
Another modern monarchy story taking place in two parallel worlds which gives this drama fantasy vibes. The drama tells the story of detective Jeong Tae-Eul and the Emperor Lee Gon who meet each other under very interesting circumstances. Because this story takes places in different times and worlds it comes across confusing in the beginning but the heartwarming characters and love story make up for this. This drama has beautiful cinematics and interesting plot twists not to mention great actors like Lee Min-Ho and Woo Do-Hwan. In the end it's a classic romantic love Drama and less a historical piece.
Main Actresses and Actress: Lee Min-Ho as Emperor Lee Gon // Kim Go-Eun as Jeong Tae-Eul & Luna // Woo Do-Hwan as Jo Yeong & Jo Eun-Sup
- Hymn of Death [사의 찬미] // 2018 by Park Soo-Jin
Hymne of Death is based on a true story and takes place in 1920, when Korea was under Japanese Occupation. The Drama tells the tragic love story of Soprano Yun Sim-Deok and playwright Kim Woo-Jin. Going as far as calling it the Korean Romeo and Juliet this short Story is full of dramatic plotting and beautiful poetic scenes. The historical part doesn't come to short and shows us Korea in periods of change but also the harsh reality of the Japanese invasion.

Second male leads I have SLS for
I just felt like making this post bc our boys deserve some love. They’re ranked by a combination of how much I love them and how much I rooted for them to get the girl (or in a couple cases guy).
Nam Seon Ho - My Country: The New Age I love his gay bastard ass. He just wanted a boyfriend and for everyone to stop bullying him and I sympathize. He, Hwi, and Sung Rok were the real love triangle in that show prove me wrong.
Sam Maek Jong - Hwarang: Poet Warrior Youth I love Park Seo Joon to death but I really adore Maek Jong as a character and I love Park Hyung Sik to an equal extent. That scene where he offered to run away with her? I would’ve fallen for him instantly. I really wanted him to get the girl to the extent that I read Hwarang fanfiction lmao.
Baek In Ho - Cheese in the Trap Sweet sweet boy. Never did anything wrong his entire life. Main boy on the other hand? Violent sociopath. I will not be accepting any arguments on that opinion.
Kang Joon Hee - Reply 1997 We don’t talk about him enough honestly. He’s canon in love with the male lead and it’s honestly so heart breaking how he loves him without asking for anything. When he confesses to him but let’s it get passed off as a joke it makes me so sad. Also hes just so baby and sweet I love him.
Kang Sin Jae - The King: Eternal Monarch He’s not higher on the list because KEM isn’t over so there’s more to know about him but like I really wish he’d end up with the girl because they’re dynamic is so much more interesting and he’s such an interesting character to me. I even drew their hug lol.
Seo Ha Joon - Cheer Up/Sassy Go Go I honestly haven’t watched this drama in a long time so I don’t remember much. I do remember really wishing him happiness because his home life was so heartbreaking and his crush on the main girl was so incredibly sweet.
Nam Eun Gi - Her Private Life I just thought he was incredibly sweet and his friendship with Deok Mi and Seon Joo was so fun, because they’re dynamic was so fun. I also found his teasing really cute and his confession was so romantic “I can wait for you” like aw qt (also that shower scene got me like 0_0) . His ending was so adorable, he and Cindy are such a cute couple, so given that he gets a better ending than some of the men higher on this list (despite that i love him so much) he is here at number 7 because I am satisfied with his ending.
In Guk Doo - Strong Woman Do Bong Soon I found Guk Doo’s crush so relatable and I thought he just really deserved a happy ending after what he went through with his girlfriend. Also his one-that-got-away menality towards Bong Soon was a lil tragic and I felt for him.
Park Jung Woo - Temperature of Love He would be higher on this list because I rooted for him so hard (I teared up at the scene where he dreams of what they’d be like together) but I was Not ok with the way he treated Jung Sun at all. He basically asked for permission before attempting to compete for the girl which I respect but like when he provoked Jung Sun into punching him I was so pissed off.
Baek Kyung - Extraordinary You Unpopular opinion but just because his character development was complex and he was conflicted doesn’t mean he didn’t develop. I didn’t want him with the girl but I really rooted for his development, his realization and struggle with his feelings were believable even if I didn’t support his decisions. His final scene was a deserved ending to his arc.
Han Woo Tak - While You Were Sleeping A baby boy, beautiful cinnamon roll
Kang Seo Woo - Cinderella and the Four Knights I think its touching that he never confesses his feelings, and he’s also a sweetie. I love him and the friend together, they’re mad cute.
Ma Wang Joon - Absolute Boyfriend He was a jerk at times but I really sympathized with his reasons for breaking up. I didn’t finish this show but I hoped he would get a good ending.
Lee Tae Seong - Playful Kiss I remember almost nothing about this show except that I hated the male lead with a passion and I remember feeling like the main girl’s crush on him was wildly unhealthy and she needed to have a life outside of liking him. So I felt she’d be better off with this guy.
Honorable Mentions:
Ko Choeng Myung - Hotel Del Luna He’s here because he’s not technically a second male lead but I loved him, The scene where he died made me cry and I think about it A Lot.
Wang Wook - Scarlet Heart Ryeo Only first few episodes Wook though, because unpopular opinion number two: he wasn’t that bad at first even though I always loved So waaay more.
Woo Do Hwan’s character (he’s unnamed lmao) - Dramaworld Also not technically the second male lead but he is in the drama that dramaworld is inside so ??? anyway he’s literally only here because he’s Woo Do Hwan lol and also he gets the girl!!!!
Park Hae Jin - 7 First Kisses You could argue that he’s not a second male lead because there isn’t really a male lead here, you could also argue that Lee Min Ho is the male lead and therefore there are 6 second male leads. Either way Park Hae Jin, Lee Jong Suk, and Kai were my favorites.
Jo Yeong - The King: Eternal Monarch He’s literally only here because he’s not technically the second male lead but his unrequited love for Lee Gon is just so amazing that if he were a second male lead I would put him right up there with Sin Jae but alas.
Wang Jung - Scarlet Heart Ryeo He made some questionable decisions but ultimately he helped her get away from the palace, loved her, and took care of her without ever asking for more. Definitely better than Wook lmao I know I put first few episodes Wook on here but don’t get me wrong, after he character develops, I hate that guy.
Thanks for reading yet another of my dumb lists! Hope you vibe with my dumbass opinions lol. Have a wonderful day! <3

If these characters were “real people” in this day and time and their personalities and jobs were exactly what they portrayed in their series, I would totally:
🥰 Date and marry Doom (Seo In-Gul) because I would be his ‘first’ in everything and for the devotion he would have for me. Being a doctor is a major plus. And let’s not forget his looks and physique and his protected nature. At 5’11”, his height is acceptable to my 5’7”.
Tumblr media
🥰 Date and marry Baek Hee-Song, Lee Joong-Ki’s character in ‘Flower of Evil’. His looks and physique and his devotion to his wife and child is a super major plus. He owns a small business and I like working outside of my home, so I don’t think money would be an issue. His interest and research of what I like and what makes me happy is the major draw here. Although he didn’t understand the concept of love, his actions showed otherwise. With his family he was kind and devoted, but his relationship with his daughter is what drew me in. I love tall men, but I will accept him at 5’10”. ***He’s my 2nd choice to marry***
Tumblr media
🥰 Date and marry Park Sae-Ro-Yi, Park Seo-Joon’s character in ‘Itaewon Class’…..another semi-unemotional man. Talk about being singularly focused. He liked a girl and left no room for anyone else - he just continued to like her and that’s the way it was supposed to be. The devotion he showed his employees/friends was far above the norm and they were just as devoted to him. And to stand his ground where his values were concerned, even when it worked against him, is a big plus. He was so strong willed but he was such a gentle person. It really, REALLY took a lot for him to lose his temper and that was always due to an injustice. Even his neighborhood knew of him because he helped them when needed and wanted nothing in return. He was a genuinely caring man. He was goal oriented and although he never knew when to ask for help, when it was offered he never turned it down if it was something he actually needed. His decisions were never spur of the moment - every decision made, he carefully and thoroughly thought it through. ***I think he is my first choice for marriage.*** He was cute in his own way with his nice physique and calming nature. His naiveness was mostly do to trusting too easily and inexperience, but he learned and adapted very quickly. He was also very protective of those he loved. He didn’t understand the concept of ‘love’, but in his actions he did love. Due to his self started business growing to be a huge conglomerate, money would not be an issue. I would have worked with him side by side from beginning to end. I love his height at 6’1”.
Tumblr media
🥰 Date and marry Yoo Ji-Ho, Jung Hae-In’s character from ‘One Spring Night’. He is so sweet and shy and he wants to love and be loved. Having a son already would be no issue because I am a stepmother and I dearly love my stepdaughter who is only 1 month older than my son. And Yoo Ji-Ho’s son is absolutely precious and smart and intuitive. Having a family outing is right up my alley - I love playgrounds and water parks, ice and roller skating, amusement parks and swimming pools/beaches, volleyball and baseball. I like working outside of the home and with Ji-Ho being a pharmacist, money would not be an issue. Ji-Ho is cute and gentle and I believe he would be a devoted husband. I can accept his 5’10” height.
Tumblr media
🥰 Date and marry Lee Min-Ho’s character, Lee Gon, from the ‘King: Eternal Monarch’. He’s tall and handsome, physically fit and a KING! He is cute and flirtatious, and when needed, an intelligent and strong leader. He is not a self serving man and he is courteous and kind to those around him. I love his 6’2” stature. 💋 In fact, I would totally marry Lee Min-Ho period! 💯 **He is damn sexy when riding his white stallion! Hell he is just sexy period!**
Tumblr media
💕 I would date and marry Hwang In-Yeop of ‘True Beauty’. That man is amazingly gorgeous and beautiful and pretty all rolled up in One. He has the most beautiful eyes and I would never get tired of looking at him. I was just drawn to him from the beginning. He had a little growing up to do, but he was sweet and very family oriented. I would just be an extension to his family. And he was maturing very well. I love tall men so at 6’1” he’s perfect! And to go to his concerts would be fun!
Tumblr media
🥰 I’m already totally in love with Vincenzo (Song Joong-Ki). He is my fantasy lover and husband. His 5’ 10” frame is acceptable because everything else about him is perfect. He’s absolutely adorable, emotionally and physically fit and just plain SEXY! He knows at least 3 languages: Korean, Italian and English. He’s extremely loyal and highly business minded. I would love to live in Malta on our own island. I love riding horses. Looking out over the ocean from my own veranda sounds so peaceful. And after finally finding the gold, money is no issue.
Tumblr media
I would date and marry Lee Dong-Wook’s character, Lee Yeon, in “Tale of the Nine Tailed” or as the Grim Reaper in “Goblin/Guardian: The Lonely and Great God”. They were lonely men waiting for the women they loved to return. Their devotion to me would be unwavering. They were both kind, sweet men with an inner strength. His 6’ 1” height is a plus. Out of the 2 I would choose Lee Yeon over the Grim Reaper.
Tumblr media
===========================
===========================
LOL… I am finding a pattern here. It seems that I am mostly attracted to semi-unemotional, singularly focussed and devoted, loyal men. They each have a protective spirit and strength that will help me always feel safe and protected. These men are knowledgeable about how the world works and seem to easily adapt to the changes around them. These men would view me as a ‘partner’, not as something owned. Even with the loss of their memories, Doom and Hee-Song both felt the love that they had for their girl, and they gravitated towards it instead of running away.…that’s a sign of total devotion.

[Countdown to 2021] Top 5 Kdrama of 2020
This past year of what was undoubtedly an absolutely horrendous year of 2020--for a variety of reasons--I can honestly say that one of the reasons why I stayed sane was because of Kdrama. Being at home all day, even for an extreme homebody for me, can get harrowing because the choice of going out or not was taken from me when my area went into lockdown.
And so....to Kdrama it is. I think that 2020 was one of the very few years that I’ve seen nearly all of the Kdrama that aired on MBC, SBS, KBS, TvN, and jTBC...which is....a lot, I’ve come to realize. That brought me to think--which would I consider my top 5?
Hmmm.....Well, here I go.
Please note that my top 5 are not in any particular order. Each one that made it to my top 5 is beloved for a completely different reason. I also don’t go down the critic route and pick apart the direction, the story, yada yada. I just made this list purely on how much I enjoyed them and how much they’ve made an impression on me.
(SPOILERS AHEAD.)
#5 -- The Tale of the Nine-Tailed
Starring Lee Dong Wook, Jo Bo Ah, Kim Beom, Hwang Hee
Tumblr media
I like Lee Dong Wook as a Grim Reaper, and I like Lee Dong Wook as a gumiho/nine-tailed fox. What can I say?
That being said, The Tale of the Nine-Tailed was really about Kim Beom’s character Rang. He started as a villain (sort of), then became a reluctant ally (sort of), and then met his end with a smile. He redeemed himself throughout the entire drama, and I shed a lot of tears in the final episode, because he finally was afraid to die because he had something to live for, but his desire for his brother to come back was so strong that he’d gladly give up the remaining time he had, stolen as it was, to give his big brother a final gift. His sacrifice made an impact more with me than any other character because it was so out of character for him, and yet not. His choice wasn’t unexpected, and yet I felt like a train wreck when I finally saw it on the screen.
#4 -- Half of a Half/A Piece of Your Mind
Starring Jung Hae In, Chae Soo Bin, Lee Ha Na, Kim Sung Kyu
Tumblr media
Or....known as the drama that is known for being tragically cut short. Let me tell you, I loved this drama. It’s not an epic romance drama by any means, but the tone of the drama was really calming and healing, which is basically the premise--two lonely souls grieving find solace in one another.
I do wish that they didn’t drag the mystery of “Who is the husband?” for so long, but I enjoyed the dynamics between Moon Ha Won and Ha Seo Woo so much that I really didn’t mind it. I really wished that they would’ve kept the original run of 16 episodes instead of slashing it to a mere 12, because it really limited the writer and directors to wrap up the story, but I also do think that if they went with the 16-episode route we would definitely have the noble idiocy trope inserted, some way or another, instead of the really lovely way that Seo Woo wanted distance from a devastated Ha Won, to get over her sadness and fear of happiness, in order to run to him.
#3 -- The Flower of Evil
Starring Lee Jun Ki, Moon Chae Won, Jang Hee Jin, Seo Hyun Woo
Tumblr media
If Kairos was a suspense drama, The Flower of Evil was definitely a thriller teetering on the edges of horror. My God, this drama scared the living daylights out of me. Lee Jun Ki as a (alleged) sociopath I could see, considering that he acted a similar role in the drama-that-must-not-be-named, but in the flashbacks his serial killer father’s eyes was enough for me to shut my laptop and just breathe.
....And that was before the introduction of Kim Ji Hoon’s character.
Lee Jun Ki is the main lead, and the story focuses on him, but the one who shone in this drama was definitely Kim Ji Hoon. I’ve watched Kim Ji Hoon over the years, and I am somewhat convinced that his sudden appearance as a very psychopathic killer will jump out at my screen and strangle me in my chair. It’s very different from his usual roles and, my God, I am looking forward what he’ll choose for his next project.
#2 -- The King: Eternal Monarch
Starring Lee Min Ho, Kim Go Eun, Kim Kyung Nam, Woo Do Hwan
Tumblr media
Ah, the epic modern-Korean monarchy...but with a twist of parallel universes, and more! (Let’s sprinkle in time travel while we’re at it!)
I think that this is the one drama in 2020 where I was simultaneous satisfied that it was finished, and yet still full of unanswered questions. Like, how does a cross-universe couple happen? Especially with doppelgängers?? And why can only certain people remember what happened??? What happens now????
Putting that aside, The King: Eternal Monarch had one major flaw: Lee Rim, played by veteran Lee Jung Jin. I felt that they completely his potential as a very potent villain in the interest of creating an epic love story. I did love the Lee Gon-Jung Tae Eul couple and chemistry (which they did, contrary to some people’s opinions), and it was the characters that really stayed with me--i.e. Jo Young/Jo Eun Sup. Woo Do Hwan really outdid him in both his characters. He nearly convinced me that it was two different actors play two characters!
And...now to #1.
#1 -- Do You Like Brahms?
Starring Park Eun Bin, Kim Min Jae, Kim Sung Chul, Park Ji Hyun
Tumblr media
OK....I said that I loved each drama differently, right? Ahahaha....yeah, all lies. If I were to pick just ONE drama of the year, it’d be Do You Like Brahms?
How many ways can I wax poetic about this one? I am still obsessed with this drama, and so very happy that Kim Min Jae and Park Eun Bin won the Best Couple Award for this drama at this year’s SBS Drama Awards. I have my gripes about the drama, but they don’t in any way outweigh the highs.
I just loved the respect and communication between Park Joon Young and Chae Song Ah, both before as acquaintances/friends/comrades in respective unrequited loves, and afterwards as the giddy, heart-fluttering moments as a couple. They understood each other, and accepted one another, as two people experiencing the same pain. They didn’t try to sugarcoat it or hide it behind a smile, which they did towards everyone else. Even with Joon Young’s missed opportunities to communicate, Song Ah tried her very best, when she clearly told him that she didn’t appreciate being in the dark, and that she wanted to lean on him. I also loved how in the drama, their words and actions mirrored one another, in the way that they confessed their feelings, and asked the other to wait--not a rejection, but for an opportunity to catch up.
Honorable Mention -- Forest
Starring Park Hae Jin, Jo Bo Ah, No Gwang Sik, Jung Yeon Joo
Tumblr media
I really like Park Hae JIn, and I really like Jo Bo Ah, so put them together? Yep, we have Forest--a drama that mixes romance, mystery(?), and the proverbial forest. The drama did fall kind of flat, which was a disappointment, considering how much news I’ve heard about it, and the villains didn’t get as much development they needed to seem as “evil” they should be.
One of my favorite lines of the drama I think will stay as one of my favorites is a line made by Park Hae Jin’s Kang Sang Hyeok in the final episode (yes, I know): “The reason why I’m acting like this now...is solely because of my personal revenge--the sacred sense of duty that you think I have...I don’t.” He acknowledges his wrongdoing and is making amends, but he doesn’t apologize or try to coat his actions as anything but self-serving. He’s not someone who immediately changes due to the power of love, but takes it slowly.

INSADONG SCANDAL (2009) ★★★☆☆
INSADONG SCANDAL (2009) ★★★☆☆
