#Peloton Store

i used to pay for the peloton app on android to use with my cheapo bike but when i reinstalled to see if it would be worth it for my cheapo rowing maching i discovered that they put a THREE WORKOUT MONTHLY LIMIT unless you pay TWENTY FOUR DOLLARS for the super extra premium plan.
fuck that, obviously, so i think "well maybe i'll see about the new apple fitness thing". except it's apple so you can only install it on apple devices so i get my ipad mini and go to the app store where it tells me i can't install that app because it's not on the approved list of devices.
why is everything bad and garbage forever

Spinning into Trouble: Where Peloton's Smooth Ride Gets Bumpy
As a Peloton enthusiast, I would say that overall the company has managed to create a relatively seamless, "frictionless" customer experience. From using your phone to scan a QR code to log in to post-ride recommendations, the company appears to be doing all it can to streamline the user journey to keep me company back for more rides. However, as hard as they try to remove friction from the CX there remains friction in key areas. Below I will try to analyze these key points of friction, and identify where embedding some level of friction could actually be a good thing.
*Disclaimer: I don’t actually own a Peloton bike myself, I use a bike at the gym or my sister’s place so I will be analyzing the customer journey as it relates to the customer experience of using the product but not pre-purchase, post-purchase, etc. Additionally, I use their recorded classes such as core workouts that are not on the bike, but for simplicity's sake, I will only be considering the bike experience.
Friction levels: quicksand / soccer field / skating rink
Tumblr media
Log-in:
Current Friction level: soccer field
Ideal Friction Level: soccer field
You have two options to log in to a bike: type in your email and password or scan the QR code on your phone and log in through the app. I use the QR code which is a very smooth experience, however, you could argue that this still requires users to have their phones on them, scan a code, and click login within the app. Peloton could go one step further and use facial recognition so that users could simply get on the bike and start riding. That said, I think that soccer field is still the right level of friction because privacy is a concern here especially given that the data will be stored on Peloton’s servers and the login process is on hardware that you don’t yourself own.
Bike Set-up:
Current Friction level: soccer field
Ideal Friction Level: skating rink
Today I have to manually configure the bike across three dimensions to reach my ideal positioning. If I go for a period of time without using a Peloton such as over the summer, I often forget my positioning (e.g., seat height). I believe the company should reduce friction here by letting me save my position configurations in the app so that they are there on the screen after I login if I need them. Going a step further the bikes could automatically change the positioning upon login.
Connecting Bluetooth Headphones:
Current Friction level: quicksand
Ideal Friction Level: skating rink
Having to go through a multi-stage Bluetooth connection process on my phone and the bike every time I ride at the gym is a pain. I believe there is a better way for the company to save my headphones connection within my profile so that only my headphones show up in the list when I log in. I have had my headphones connect to someone else riding when I was off the bike and that was unnecessary friction for both the other rider and myself.
Class selection:
Current Friction level: soccer field
Ideal Friction Level: skating rink
Peloton obviously uses a recommendation algorithm to recommend classes that I might be interested in, but I still experience friction in the process. The recommended classes are limited and don’t allow me to scroll easily beyond the ~10 classes that are recommended. Privacy in the recommendation algorithm is something to be aware of, but I don’t think adding friction to this step in the AI is necessary given that this is baseline user data.
Post-workout Recommendations:
Current Friction level: quicksand
Ideal Friction Level: skating rink
Post-ride recommendations fall under a similar trap to class selection algorithms in not providing a tailored or extensive enough list of recommendations. Similarly, I don’t believe that adding friction here is necessary or beneficial.
Building Community:
Current Friction level: quicksand
Ideal Friction Level: soccer field
Beyond high-fiving people in the class I have not engaged in community building efforts. I haven’t gone out of my way to build community, but sometimes when I’m riding I see a name that peaks my attention (e.g., a rider with #NHL alum in his profile) and I don’t know if there’s a way to connect with them after the ride. I think more can be done here to allow users to connect with other riders. There seem to be easy opportunities for this through a “fly-bys” approach similar to Strava, in-app messaging, or even lists of folks who have taken similar classes / at similar output levels. Adding friction to this feature might be ideal though given that many riders would prefer to remain anonymous or have no interest in connecting post-ride.
Connecting with Trainers:
Current Friction level: quicksand
Ideal Friction Level: soccer field
Everyone has their go-to instructors and often times I would love to provide feedback to my instructors. For example, I love doing the core workouts from one instructor in particular and she hasn’t posted any of these workouts recently. I think there are ways to reduce friction here by adding additional feedback points beyond “how hard was today’s workout” and “thumbs up” or “thumbs down”.

My husband's idea of a good Saturday isn't riding the Peloton, getting an iced coffee, wandering the mall aimlessly, buying new shit from Sephora and then going to the bougie Italian grocery store in our neighborhood and buying overpriced olives and new wine to try and I'm just like ... sir what brings you joy???
(It's video games. The answer to the question of what brings him joy is video games and I just ... *eye roll*)

ok i know i am far, far too late for this but my bf and i started watching game of thrones bc ive never seen it, never engaged with it in any way, never had any interest, vehemently refused to find out more but decided to give it a try bc we live and grow we are people. heres what i think so far:
-for a show thats supposed to be "twisty" its pretty predictable. dialogue is lame for the most
-peter dinklage is so sexy and genius and excellent actor. why did no one mention this. unrelated but i know a guy who is a smidge autistic who i now learned, by watching this show, has based his whole personality on tyrion lannister. except without the sex appeal
-jon snow is not my type but the way he is so babygirl coded.... feminism is in shambles rn but i do find it pretty funny that 2012's portrait of masculinity would be handily walloped by today's youth and trapped at a little tea party forever. probably wearing a binder
-cersei lannister doesnt rly need anything but i just think her natural habitat is like a really $$ suburban outlet mall where they have like an apple store and shit. and she should be there in her yoga pants and headband just came from peloton class, yelling at some barista for using reg sugar instead of sugar free in her latte
-brienne deserves more screentime (im on s2)
-daneyrys had me at first, but now shes kinda losing me. she's got no subjects and no land just dragons. and shes like I NEED A SHIP girl just quit on westeros. go somewhere else fuck it
-thats it i guess. theon lame, arya mid, sansa fine (idk why ppl hated her so much she's literally 13), joffrey shitty but we have the same haircut so solidarity i guess.
thanks for reading pls share ur thoughts if u have any

The Peloton, The Prius, & The Party: A Halloween Story (by Hypnofur)
Tumblr media
The Peloton: This story really starts at Memorial Day. Well, the small Memorial Day Cook Out that Isabella DiMartino and her husband John threw. It was a small crowd, but there were a few unexpected guests. Derrick, a friend of John’s brother ended up coming with his new girlfriend. The new girlfriend was very pretty, and wore a sexy sun dress. All of the guys were all goofy around her, because they were so taken with her. John included. He wasn’t inappropriate, by any means, but Isabella could tell he thought the girl was hot. Isabella had always been chubby. Lots of pasta dishes and canolis will do that. As usual during the cook out, Isabella was complemented over and over again for her amazing cooking and her great hostess skills. All the while, the not invited pretty girl, Ava, was really the hit of the party. It was at that moment that Isabella decided to buy a Peloton.
She started working out each morning, and the schedule very much agreed with her. She soon changed her diet as well. John lost 10 pounds just from the change in her cooking. However, John wasn’t really trying to lose weight. He had always liked Isabella the way she was. (And he LOVED her cooking). However, he was a good husband, and he supported her new passion for fitness… though he secretly hoped it would be short lived.
The Prius: The second catalyst in this story is John’s Prius. Well, it is really more about the box truck that hit his Prius on September 15th. The collision pushed his small electric car off a bridge. Not a massive bridge like the Golden Gate, but a small bridge over a little river. The car went into the river, with John inside.
He was fine, outside of a busted wrist and some bruises. However, his Prius, and his I phone were not. Between insurance and confusion with an apple id, it took him a month to get a car and his phone back. When he finally logged in, he saw a ton of messages and texts. That included an invite to a Halloween party from his brother’s friend Derrick, the one who had the smokeshow girlfriend (Ava). John secretly wondered what sexy costume she would be wearing for Halloween. He decided he wanted to go to that party.
The Party: Isabella felt like she was going to cry when John told her about the last minute get together. She had just gotten home, and John had called from the car. He could tell in her voice that she was very upset, though he had no idea why. He didn’t see it as such a big deal.
But, John didn’t realize how jealous Isabella had been of Ava at the Memorial Day Cookout. Nor did he realize how Isabella had been planning to wear a sexy Halloween costume herself this year. She was a good Catholic, Italian American girl. She always had been. The pudgy, trusted friend who was a great cook. Like all women, she knew that Halloween was the one time of the year that good girls could dress kind of slutty and get away with it. Hence, she had been planning to get a fairly sexy costume together since she started realized how great her body looked at the end of the summer.
Then came John’s accident. The worry, the constant rides to each other’s work, the fighting with the Apple Store people. It had been a whirlwind of a month, and she hadn’t been able to go to the Spirit of Halloween store and try some things on to figure out what she was going to wear. Now, with what was turning out to be a surprise Halloween party that was an hour away and likely the only one they’d get invited to all season, she was realizing that she had blown her opportunity.
She was kicking herself for not just buying something online. However, her first foray into that had not worked well. She bought some leather pants that were tighter and shinier than she was ready for, and she bought some high heeled shoe things that were waaay higher than she thought they were going to be. It was when those arrived that she realized that she had to see things in the store.
But, the Sprit of Halloween store was like 45 minutes away. Long Island traffic on a Friday night in October was crazy, she’d never make there and back in time. Nevermind actually having time to try something on and feel good about it. She felt a tear of frustration and defeat roll down her cheek.
She called John to tell him that they couldn’t go, but when he picked up the phone, she could hear the excitement in his voice. “I heard Derick’s place is awesome. The have a DJ!” he said excitedly, “I bet he is just having this party so he can show off that girlfriend of his! I wonder what she’ll be wearing?” John laughed.
“By the way Is, I’ll never make it home to Farmingdale and then to Dereck’s place in Garden City. Can you meet meet me there? Hey, can you also just like cut up two sheets for us? We can just go as ghosts. It won’t be exciting, but it will get the job done.” He asked.
That was it. John had inadvertently triggered his wife. Her Italian temper got the best of her. She hopped in the shower. She did her make up more dramatic than she had ever done it in her life. Her thick, black hair totally cooperated, as if it knew what was at stake. She pulled on the tight leather pants and checked out her ass in the mirror. She was shocked at how good her it looked. ‘Man, the Peloton was worth it’ she thought. She grabbed a black, satin Victoria’s Secret Bra. She knew she couldn’t just wear that. Looking in her closet, she saw a black faux fur vest. She threw that on over the bra. No shirt, just the faux fur vest and a bra. She then put a belt around it to show off her tiny waist. Lucky, she had a head band with some cat ears on it from a few Halloweens ago. By wearing that, she could claim this slutty black outfit was some kind of cat costume. She finished it off by grabbing the ridiculously high heels.
With that, she stumbled out the door, holding on to things around the house for balance as she left. The heels made it impossible to walk. How did girls like Ava walk in these?
Isabella wasn’t the only one thinking about Ava as the party began. Pretty much all the guys invited to the party couldn’t wait to see what her costume was going to be. John was no different. His work was closer to Garden City than his home in Farmingdale where Isabella was leaving from. He scanned the group of parked cars as he arrived and realized her car was not among them. He had gotten to the party before she did, which he was glad about as he figured he could sneak a few extra glances at whatever sexy thing Ava was wearing without being caught by his wife.
“Bubba!” everyone yelled as he entered Derrick’s very cool condo. They had called him Bubba for years, since he was a lineman on the North Bellmore football team. He was only one year older than his brother, Vincent, and most of Vinnie’s friends had become his friends. Derrick was part of that crew. They had all been to John and Isabella’s wedding, etc.
“Dude, where is your costume?” Vinnie asked to his brother as soon as he walked in.
“Izz is going to bring something.” John replied, his eyes scanning for Ava.
“Bro, bad news.” Vinnie added. “Ava dumped Derrick. She met an Islander.”
“An Islander? Like a hockey player?” John asked, stunned and disappointed.
“Yeah. Derrick is crushed. Don’t bring it up.” Vinnie said. Of course John wouldn’t. All the friends in the group had been warned. They were all trying to be sensitive about it.
However, Derrick’s neighbor, who was simply known as Timmons, was not warned. Nor was he sensitive. Timmons was a tall, thin, nerdy man who was always trying to hang around with Derrick, despite being ten years older than most of the crew. He had also become terribly infatuated with Ava over the last few months. Not surprising, but Timmons wasn’t exactly subtle about it.
He also wasn’t subtle about the fact that he was very, very disappointed that Ava wouldn’t be coming around any longer. John and Vinnie’s friends were annoyed by Timmons lack of empathy towards Derrick, but they also couldn’t help but laugh about how Timmons seemed more broken up then the actual guy that got dumped. Truthfully, they never understood why Derrick hung out with him so much.
Soon the shots of cool guy whiskey came out. John was up for it, as he knew Isabella could drive him home in her car, and they could pick up his later. The drink was flowing, and so was the laughter. Lots of jokes about John’s Prius in the river. The Prius had always been a source of wicked joy to John’s friends. Big guy in a little car and all that.
The laughter stopped dead as Isabella walked in the condo though. It was like the record scratch trope. Everyone just stopped and looked at her. Jaws open. They couldn’t believe what pudgy, lovable Isabella looked like tonight in her black leather pants, fur vest/satin bra combo, and crazy high heels.
John just stared openly. He was absolutely shocked. He knew she was getting in shape, and that she had been looking great in her jeans, but he never imagined she would look like this. The rest of his friends played it right and tried not to stare at their buddy’s wife. Their eyes were anywhere but on Isabella.
John approached her and told her she looked amazing. She was so nervous walking in. His support really helped. They laughed about how she basically couldn’t walk at all in the heels and she gave him his cut out “ghost sheet”. John looked around and saw his friends keep sneaking glances, much like they used to with Ava, but they were really trying to be good. He appreciated that.
Timmons, however, had no idea who Isabella and John were, and didn’t care. He was thrilled to see another hottie come to the party. He went up and introduced himself. John made sure to let the tall weirdo know that Isabella was his wife. Timmons again didn’t care.
Isabella tried to be nice. “Cool costume. Are you a circus ring leader or something?” she asked. He had on a purple and green old time tuxedo type thing, with a large purple top hat. The top hat had a black and white spiral on it. Timmons went into some big long explanation of how he was some comics supervillain that most people wouldn’t know because he hadn’t made it into the movies.
Thankfully, one of the crew came and rescued them and brought them into the party mix. Isabella was less disappointed than the others about the Ava news. She was actually having a great time, despite the fact that she couldn’t stand up in the heels. Eventually, she was just sitting on some steps at the front interior entry way to Derrick’s swank bachelor pad as the guys drank.
Timmons wasn’t drinking though. He was…reassessing. For months, he had been planning tonight. Tonight was supposed to be the night that he would live his fantasy of getting the beautiful Ava deep under his hypnotic control. However, due to the stupid Islanders hockey player, that wouldn’t be happening. Timmons was still angry, but as he looked at Isabella sitting there on the steps, he realized maybe he didn’t need to punt on his entire plan.
The tall lanky man looked over at Derrick, laughing with his friends. They were such a sophomoric bunch. He pulled out his phone and texted the host:
Derrick, tell everyone it is time for the hypnosis demonstration
As soon as Derrick heard the special text notification sound that was now associated with Timmons’ texts, he immediately stopped laughing and took the phone out of his pocket. He texted back right away.
Yes Lord Timmons. As you command.
Derrick immediately sprung into action. “Hey guys, did you know Timmons is a hypnotist? It is cool as hell when you see it live!” he announced. His friends looked at each other, each taken aback by the out of nowhere comment.
“Yeah, he did it at this cool party that he brought me too. It was wild. Timmons, dude, you should do it tonight!” Derrick pushed.
“What, oh no. I couldn’t. No one wants to see that” Timmons feigned as he waved Derrick off. But as previously directed, the host insisted. Soon Timmons brought out his specially designed hypno wheel, and played a special melodic tune through Derrick’s Sonos system, which he was already synched to.
As she sat on the hardwood steps, Isabella found this all very strange. This Timmons guy was weird, and for all the time she knew Derrick, she had never known him to act like this. In truth, she was hoping the party would end soon. As the drinks flowed, the guys from the crew were having a harder and harder time keeping their glances subtle. While she always thought she would have loved the attention, it was a bit unsettling tonight, with her in this crazy outfit.
Meanwhile, Timmons finished setting up his giant hypno wheel as his special music continued to play. He had the volume pretty loud. The hypno wheel was really just a black and white spiral that spun. Isabella sat quietly and watched as the Hypno wheel turned. She could barely hear the wise cracks of the crew over the melodic music as the disk spun around and around. It was kind of like watching a record label spin on the turntable of a stereo… except it was more interesting, more fascinating than a record. A lot more fascinating.
Not that it was working to entrance her, of course. ‘This dumb thing and creepy guy can’t hypnotize me’, Isabella thought to herself.
But it was incredible to watch, she reflected—the way the spiral seemed to become larger, as though it were drawing her in. Surrounding her. Becoming the only thing she could see, as the music and his voice were the only things she could hear, the only thing she could think about, the only thing she wanted to think about.
Tumblr media
She was truly enveloped by it all, ‘But’, she said firmly to herself,  ‘it’s not like this guy could actually hypnotize me.’
It’s not like this guy could actually hypnotize me… It’s not like… This guy could actually hypnotize me… This guy could actually hypnotize me… This guy—could actually hypnotize me… This guy could—hypnotize me… Could…hypnotize me… Hypnotize me… Hypnotize me… Hypno…tize…me… Hyp…no…tiz…
Isabella sat staring at the spinning Hypno wheel, her face and body as still as a statue. The drunk crew didn’t notice her as the Hypnodisk took her deeper into trance. They were too concerned with making fun of Timmons as the pretty Italian wife was oblivious to everything outside of her own mind, the spiral of black and white and Timmons voice was the only thing that mattered.
The crew’s jokes were getting louder, as they thought the whole schtick was a bust. Their laughter quieted as Timmons approached the entranced Isabella. It was only at this point that they were starting to wonder if he had gotten her under his sway.
“Isabella, you hear only my voice. Only my voice matters. Do you understand?” he asked her.
She remained completely still. “Yes, I understand.”
It was the sexiest thing Timmons had ever heard. Her voice was soft and still, like the coo of a dove.
“Yes, that’s it. Just listen to my voice, and follow my suggestions. You are hypnotized, deeply hypnotized, in fact, and you love being hypnotized, don’t you?”
“Yes….”, she agreed passively.
“Yes, You love being hypnotized, and listening to my voice while being hypnotized. And as long as you continue to listen to my voice, and follow my suggestions and commands, you will remain in this deep hypnotic trance you love so very much. Do you understand?”
She paused, then, “Yes.”
“Very good. Now I want you to repeat these suggestions as I say them—and as you do, they will become an essential part of your way of thinking—they will become an essential part of your way of life. And as you repeat my suggestions, and stare into the spinning Hypno wheel, you will become more deeply hypnotized, more willing to follow my suggestions and commands, because you love being so deeply hypnotized. Do you understand?”
“Yes.” Isabella answered, more firmly this time.
The crew definitely wasn’t laughing anymore, they were starting to realize that Isabella might just actually be hypnotized by this tall, creepy stranger. Despite his drunken haze, John was starting to become concerned about this little parlor trick.
“You have been deeply hypnotized by Lord Timmons.”
“I have been deeply hypnotized by Lord Timmons”
“You love Lord Timmons hypnotic control and hypnotic power”
“I love Lord Timmons hypnotic control and hypnotic power”
At this point, John intervened. “What the hell man?” he slurred angrily towards Timmons.
Timmons laughed it off. “Ok, ok. I’ll get to the fun stuff” he said, seeming to relent. John was still wary, but relented a bit.
From there Timmons played off of Isabella’s loose interpretation of a cat costume. He had her crawl around on the floor and “meow”. All the guys watched Isabella’s now very toned ass sexily sway in her leather pants. Even John paused for a moment, as he had never seen his dear wife’s body quite move in this way, however, when he started talking about how badly the ‘kitten wanted her cream’, John had seen enough. He grabbed the guy by the lepels of his stupid ring leader costume and demanded this be over right then.
Timmons knew he wasn’t a fighter. He obliged and awoke Isabella. John and the crew figured gave Timmons a dirty look and asked Derrick ‘what was with this guy?’. But soon the drink flowed again and the laughter came back.
Timmons was annoyed that he couldn’t do more with the beautiful Isabella in that setting, but he figured outsmarting this group of dullards in order to continue his dastardly plan would be child’s play. He took out his phone and texted Derrick: ‘Get really sad about Ava’
With that, Derrick’s eyes welled up. He started crying in the middle of Tommy’s story about the time Teddy stole a fishing boat. The crew didn’t really know how to react. Despite the fact that they had been friends for years, 99% of their interaction had been teasing each other or talking about dumb guy things. Empathy and support were hard for them. They all looked at each other as Derrick broke down.
Timmons acted fast, pulling out his phone and texting the sobbing man. ‘Go to Isabella, ask if she can be a shoulder to cry on. Bring her upstairs.”
Despite his heavy crying, Derrick still checked his phone when the special tone went off. He read the text and complied. His friends, including John, were happy that he went to Isabella. This was really more of a situation that a female would be better handling. The guys were all ill equipped for this sort of emotional intelligence.
When crying Derrick and supportive Isabella got into the room, Timmons was already there. His plan had worked perfectly. Soon he had Isabella, and Derrick, back in a deep trance. She was absorbing his words and his commands in her receptive, hypnotized mind.
Despite the fact that he was drunk and having a good time with his friends, John was still mad about the whole Timmons hypnotism thing. Who did that guy think that he was? You can’t just take control of someone’s wife like that! Especially on the night when she looks hotter than she ever looked in her life. That dude was probably just a creep. John glared in the direction Timmons had been. He wasn’t there. John scanned the room. No sign of him. He started to get nervous.
John excused himself from the conversation, and poked his head in the kitchen, looking for the lanky jerk. No sign of him. He checked the bathrooms, both were open. Maybe he was outside getting a smoke? John went to both the front and back doors of the condo, but found nothing. He was sobering up quickly as his adrenaline started to pump.
Meanwhile, up in Derrick’s bedroom, with the door closed, Timmons was completely focused on Isabella. “More and more aroused as you hear the sound of my hypnotic voice. I am the sexiest, most powerful, erotic man you have ever met. My hypnotic power arouses you more than anything in the world. You are more aroused than you’ve ever been be---“ he said as the door got kicked in.
“What the fuck!” John yelled.
Timmons panicked. He knew he was about to get his ass kicked. “Derrick, attack him!” he shouted. Derrick immediately awoke from his trance like state and pounced on John. However, John had a significant size advantage and easily through the host to the side of the room.
The crew had clearly heard this disturbance, as they were just downstairs. They all rushed up to see what the problem was. During their entrance, Timmons had wisely snuck out the window. All the condos in this complex were built the same, so he knew full well that there was a small roof on the other side of the window, that lead to another small roof area and ultimately a clean escape from the large jealous husband.
Isabella had never been woken from her trance. She was barely responding to John. Their friend Tommy, who was three years sober, and thus hadn’t been drinking, offered to drive Isabella and John home. John was grateful, and took him up on the offer. It was a silent and surreal ride home. Upon arrival, John thanked Tommy, but told him he could take it from there. He helped Isabella inside the house and to the couch, as she was still pretty foggy. Figuring one of them needed to be of clear mind, he went to the kitchen to get himself some coffee. He had bought her a Keurig for Christmas last year. It was one of the only kitchen appliances he knew how to use.
Isabella had never been awoken from her erotic hypnotic trance. She was still very much feeling the affect. In fact, she could feel the wetness between her legs as her hands caressed the soft leather of her tight pants. She inched ever so closer to her warm pussy. John saw this from the kitchen, as he almost spilled his coffee. This slow self-seduction was driving both her and her voyeur husband wild. Her delicate hands were slowly and seductively touching not only her leather clad legs, but her faux fur vest over her breasts, and her long, now slender neck.
John had never seen her move so… erotically. He had been so turned on by watching her move so sexually during the hypnosis show. Still drunk, John had shed all inhibition and was soon fisting his penis in anticipation of what might happen next as he watched her from the doorway of the kitchen. Isabella, for her part, was on the verge of doing something similar as she took off her boots and leather pants.
Still lost in the erotic haze of Timmon’s spell, she was lightly massaging her inner thighs. Her fingers danced around the outer rim of her pussy lips, rounding closer to their goal with every stroke. With a deep sigh, Isabella slid her fingers below the waistband of her panties, in almost unison John gave the same deep sigh. He had never seen his sweet, demure wife like this.
Isabella lightly traced circles around her clit before she edged a finger inside herself. The instant wave of pleasure from the insertion caused her to arch her back off the couch. John was treated to an elegant display of her newly perfect form as she pleasured herself. For his part, he was nearing his own completion, trying to match her strokes as she brought herself off.
John nearly lost himself seeing her as she gained momentum, her moans began to hit a fever pitch. Her crotch involuntarily bucked towards an invisible partner, she added a second finger to her pussy. Her breathing began to come in short rapid breaths and she tried to stifle her moans and squeals. In her mind, she was still hearing Timmons’ erotic suggestions.
John thought it would never come, but finally he watched in awe as she threw her head back, mouth open, breathing heavily. John felt his hard penis twitch and could not contain his load, emptying himself onto the floor below.
For Isabella, her orgasm felt like an eternity, her pussy loving her moving fingers, she grabbed her breast hard. It was pure pleasure as her whole body tensed and twitched on the familiar couch that she and John watched TV on every night. She screamed out in orgasmic bliss in a way that she never had before.
As she slowly came down, Isabella’s breathing slowed. The view for John was intoxicating, she looked like a pure sex goddess, laying in the afterglow of her tryst. He was not sure if he should try to wake her, or just let her bask in the post moment of whatever sexual experience had just over taken her. He had never been so aroused by his own wife. He had never really seen her in this way.
Overwhelmed by the new feelings overtaking him, John fumbled backward and knocked over a lamp on the table next to him. The loud crash startled Isabella and she sat up, seemingly coming up from her lanquishing trance state for the first time. John wasn’t sure if she knew he was there or not. He quickly tucked his deflated penis into his pants, and tried to act as if we was just walking into the room.
“Are you ok, babe?” he asked carefully.
She looked at him for the first time since the whole hypno thing. He could see she was still a bit out of it. “Yeah” she said quietly.
“Do you know what happened?” John asked his wife.
She looked at him with her big brown eyes but said nothing. He couldn’t tell what she was thinking, or if she was even thinking at all.
“You were hypnotized” he told her.
As she processed that, she thought back to the last few hours, the white hypnodisk, Lord Timmons’ voice. So many feelings rushed over her. "I'm gonna jump in the shower” she said quietly.
Just having Lord Timmons’ hypnotic control flash through her mind was enough to get her aroused again. (And, she legitimately felt like she needed a shower). She stepped into the warm falling water and closed her eyes. Her mind wandered back to a fantasy. She was back in Derrick’s condo, watching the spiral and listening to Lord Timmons’ words in her mind. In the shower, her hands wandered her body, still tingling from both the sexual activity and her racing mind. In her fantasy her hypnotist loomed over her. Just as her orgasm begun to arise, she opened her eyes, and saw his lanky body in front of her, still wearing his top hat. She never stopped playing with herself, her fluttering eyes wandered over hypnotist, moving downward to the jutting cock he was stroking before her.
She whispered to the man."I love Lord Timmons hypnotic control and power."
He remained silent, watching and stroking.
In the shower Isabella stood under the stream, gently stroking her tender pussy. She inserted one finger, then two as she imagined this powerful wizard pleasuring himself before her. God, she felt so wet. In her daydream she pulled her tits out to show the hypnotist, hoping he approved of her form. He remained silent staring down at her, expectantly. She focused on her hypnotist's cock, she wanted to reach out and touch it, to kiss it, to show him her appreciation of his wonderous sexual power. She whispered again, this time out loud in the shower.
"I love Lord Timmons hypnotic control and power." Fantasy Isabella raised her now athletic legs and peeled her black leather pants and satin panties off, spreading her legs for the hypnotist. Her wetness showing her desire to give herself to him. He knelt and she felt the heat of his cock against her smooth inner thigh.
"Put it in slave." He commanded, she reached over to guide him home. She complied happily. As her fantasy continued, she added a third finger to her sopping pussy in the shower. Gently thrusting into herself at first but gaining pace as the fantasy Timmons fucked her in her dream.
She breathed deep, trying not to yell out into the shower and alert her husband, who she could barely focus on at this point. In her fantasy, Timmons took her with long, hard strokes. She matched his pace with her fingers, furiously fucking herself in the shower. It didn't take long at this pace, she felt her pussy quiver and contract and she came right there, half bent over in the shower one arm holding herself up, the other buried as deep as she dare in her pussy. As she came, her hypnotic master pulled out of her, his cock covered in her wetness, he fisted it up and down a few times and it spew forth load after load of hot cum and she cooed as it covered her heaving breasts and stomach.
She collapsed in the shower, now totally out of breath, and spent she let the water fall over her.
Meanwhile, unbeknownst to John, her phone received a text from Timmons, ‘time to come get your cream kitten’.

It's Working Out
We have spent a lot of time of late discussing the disruptors, the upstart firms that upset the apple cart of people’s comfort. They challenged old ways of doing things, introducing new ways and means of meeting consumer needs and wants. They are the innovators.
But perhaps the greatest disruptor of our time was not an innovator at all, but merely a force that set the stage upon which everyone, from person to firm, had to react. Some were able to, while others were not. Some were willing to, while others were not.
That force of course, was COVID, which pushed us all to the brink. Here we are, three and a half years since it brought the world to its knees. Narrowing our focus to only companies, we can categorize them today as having thrived, survived, or died. Often there was no rhyme or reason, as some firms were simply in a good place at a bad time.
But even if they were in either of the first two categories, there was and is no guarantee now that success would be theirs. The big disruption is over, and it is back to doing business much the same as it was before, but with evolutionary twists and turns along the way.
Take, for example, Peloton and Lululemon, two companies that thrived during COVID, and are now forging a partnership. Seemingly complementary (although as we shall see, also competitors), it made sense that fitness hardware would enjoy the company of fitness apparel. After all, we were working from home, and doing pretty much everything there. Sales of Peloton stationary bikes soared. Sales of Lululemon clothing did likewise. Hand, meet glove.
Tumblr media
But that’s where the comparison abruptly ends. Homes only need one stationary bike, and at $2500 for a typical model, plus another $45 a month for the workout subscription service, it became an expensive proposition. Once we started returning to more normal life, Peloton sales plummeted, and they were bloated with unsold inventory.
Lululemon, though, continued the trend line of the pandemic, thanks in large part to the broader fashion statement of athleisure apparel. In other words, while you can’t take your stationary bike with you out of the house, it is fine indeed to wear yoga pants wherever you go. Apples, meet oranges.
It must be noted that Peloton and Lululemon were not exactly best buddies through all of this. While Peloton had its own in-house line of fitness apparel that competed with Lululemon, it was Lululemon’s acquisition of Mirror in June 2020 that sparked controversy. The $995 and up hardware device offered users fitness routines while narcissistically looking into a huge reflective object. Lululemon accused Peloton of pilfering workout routines to sell via its subscription service. It wound up in court; the two firms settled last year.
Lululemon did not enjoy success with Mirror; it wound up writing off the acquisition, which had cost them $500 million. While clothing sales have been brisk, Mirror was a thorn in their side. Meanwhile, Peloton has struggled mightily the last couple of years, its stock price tracking like an asteroid to earth. Thankfully, new leadership of late has seen fit to break away from the COVID business model, exploring new partnerships and distribution channels.
For example, Peloton inked a deal with Hilton, and now a Peloton bike appears in every hotel under the Hilton umbrella. That’s genius, because it allows for risk-free product trial. They also partnered with Amazon and Dick’s Sporting Goods for online and in-store sales and distribution. How silly it was of Peloton to think it could survive long-term doing all of its selling. Furthermore, they have realized that, while hardware is a necessary component in their future, it is the subscription service that is the cash cow that can keep giving.
The new partnership between the two means that Lululemon will produce all Peloton-branded exercise apparel. Lululemon also agreed to cease production of its Mirror-related. Two COVID success stories who found themselves enemies have effectively kissed and made up.
And I am betting that both will thrive under this new arrangement and their other related corporate decisions. While I have no experience with Lululemon products nor Peloton, I secretly wish for the latter to rebound, if only because I own a lot of other fitness hardware. But I also know that you have to actually use that hardware, and equipment from stationary bikes to treadmills and weight benches often wind up as expensive clothing racks at home.
Let this new marriage serve as example that there are always new ways to solve problems, which, in this case, were discovered in the post-COVID era. While both found themselves the darlings of the age, neither could sustain their businesses completely. Together, though, this might just work out.

Eighteen things I noted about CR2E131 “Into the Eye” and the Talks Machina about it :
Sam : Friends, you have the power to cut my hair or my beard any horrible way you want ! Most of the cast : *are not ok with this* Liam : Guys, we have a unique opportunity to shave exactly one half of Sam’s hair and beard !
Marisha, at Sam sweeping his beard hair from his table : “Look at you !! Doing manual labor !”
OH MY GOD THEY’RE FIGHTING YASHA AS STORM AND WIND ELEMENTALS ??
this is actually a really good idea to have the cast still participate in a one-on-one scene, I’m stealing and storing this for my own DM-ing
Of course Sam is the first to ask for his storm cloud’s backstory and motivations, the nerd.
Underrated joke of this episode : Marisha saying her storm cloud character is called “Barry, short for Low Barometric Pressure”.
Can’t believe they’re still doing 6-ways Boulder Parchment Shears
Awww, Jester saying that if she dies (she doesn’t plan to), she will come back and haunt the rest of the Mighty Nein !
Veth, as Yasha suggests since she’s very hard to kill, she can be the executors of everyone’s will : “Someone’s going to have to marry Yeza.” Yasha, a lesbian : “…WEEEELL… I don’t think that’s going toooo…........”
Wow. If they negotiate with Trent, Essek does not go with them. A simple but powerful way of saying this is a red line to not cross. If this possibility of working with Trent wasn’t creeping me out already, I’d say this is certainly Matt’s way of conveying a DM message... that he does not want to play so many aiding/betraying NPCs at the same time. If it was me, the decision would be clear : I’d rather have Essek with them !!
Essek calls the plan of bringing Trent in the fight against Lucien & the Somnovem and maybe betray him amongst the adventure “messier than you need to make it work”. YES ! LISTEN TO ESSEK ! NO NEED TO BRING TRENT INTO THIS
It’s so very nice to see that even 10 episodes from the end (*ugly tears*) Jester and Sending is the gift that keeps on giving.
Brian, Liam and Sam commit a war crime against Dani and everyone when they start to talk about Sam’s balls in his sport short on his Peloton bike. Poor Dani’s face was my face :
Tumblr media
Sam revealing he was ready to have Veth be done with adventuring, following Luke’s death, is very interesting. In-story, it’s very comprehensible, because Veth’s worst fear has literally happened : her adventuring days are putting her family in danger. My immediate thought was that as a DM, if a player decided that for his character in the 3d part of the final act… it would be tough ; not impossible of course, but tough. But apparently no Matt was involved, Sam said that it was he that thought “that’s not very D&D !”, and that he decided to have Veth ask Caduceus if she was really needed... and basically put the decision in someone else’s hands, lol.
It’s not Brody Slater, it’s Rody Slater. Are all our lives a lie, Sam ????!!!!!
Two kinds of players in terms of inter-party battle : the one that feels guilty and thinks “should I take it easy on my attacks ?” (Sam) and the one that flips SO FAST and is absolutely going for the kill (Liam). I’m Liam. This shit is fun.
Liam is still angry that the dice rolled to persuade Essek to ask Trent for help betrayed him, mainly because Caleb “could have been caught in the middle of a bisexual maelstrom with Astried, Eodwulf, Essek, and Jester, all in the same adventure !!” What a sentence.
🎵 If you want to finger-blast me, you’ve got to get through my friends 🎶 HOW DARE YOU BRIAN

So after two years of teasing, Peloton is finally releasing a rower.
Now back in the days of lockdown I did what many others found themselves doing and bought a spin bike and started doing Peloton classes, and it was great, lots of fun and beneficial. But then we moved, and I no longer had room for a spin bike so I got rid of it and stopped doing my classes after wracking up around 150 of them. I cancelled my subscription and failed to make use of the onsite gym we have in our apartment complex.
Anyway eventually I found a WaterRower on FB marketplace for a steal, it was a pandemic purchase, in as new condition and half the price of one new, plus it stands on end when being stored taking up less room and makes a lovely swishing sound as the paddle rotates in the water drum which makes it feel very much like rowing on water. Rowing is hard work, it uses 86% of the body’s muscles when done correctly, but it’s a relatively hard skill to learn so I used YouTube to try and get some hints and found two great instructors in Shane Farmer with his Dark Horse Rowing videos and a crazy, enthusiastic, big, bearded former Swiss Olympic gold medallist called Xeno Muller.
The Peloton rower has been coming for a long time and I thought that perhaps I’d renew my subscription and go back to it, but now that the launch has been announced I’m struck by how this is just the latest in a string of failures by Peloton. For a start the entry price is prohibitive unless you happen to be a real housewife of Salt Lake City, it’s $3,200 USD, which means if this was ever released in Australia would be around $5,500 AUD, and that’s just the base model. Factor in any accessories, such as the wall anchor you need (because Peloton HATES a lawsuit) to store it upright and you’re beginning to look at figures north of $3,500 US. Then there’s the ongoing subscription of $44 a month and the fact that at launch rowing classes are restricted to owners of the Peloton Row only.
None of this suggests that Peloton is learning from its mistakes. It certainly doesn’t suggest its seriously wants to grow its market for content consumers, which is surprising because there is a whole segment of home fitness exercisers who already have a Concept2 or WaterRower at home that Peloton could easily tap into.
Now don’t get me wrong, the Peloton Row looks great. It’s got all the premium looks of something you would expect from them, but…it uses magnetic resistance which reputedly doesn’t give as good a feel as water or air (although it is near silent which is a big selling point) and more moving parts means more to go wrong. Which considering many of the recent woes Peloton has had with manufacturing and supply doesn’t inspire confidence, and of course you also run the risk that if Peloton does go to the wall you’re left with a very expensive rower with none of the content or stats you paid a ridiculous premium for.
I'll be sticking with my WaterRower, lovely swooshing sound and YouTube videos by a crazy Swiss Olympian.

Daily Things - Holiday Season Edition 🎄
✨ life has been awful and amazing all at once and it has been so overwhelming having both of those extremes.
✨ for the past few months I have had on and off back pain with spasms, fatigue, itchiness, headaches, etc and it got worse and worse. Then about 3 weeks ago I couldn’t walk bc my back pain got so bad. I ended up at the ER and discovered some time in the past I had a silent stroke which showed as a lesion on my brain mri. And then the back X-ray showed degenerative L5 endplate sclerosis. I have another follow up and further testing right after the holidays to try and pinpoint a cause for the neurological problems occurring and in the meantime I’m on muscle relaxants for my back and pain medication, and then some stronger anti anxiety medication while we asses the situation/what’s going on.
It’s been so hard waiting and the unknown and all the possibilities it could be as well as what we know it is. On top of all that, the stress has caused me to gain a pretty significant amount of weight and that’s made things mentally even harder than they already are.
✨ so I’ve been trying to savor the good days when they come, and be kind to myself on the days they’re not. When my back allows it I’ve been going on short walks to just get some fresh air and movement. The peloton is low impact and most days I’m able to get a ride of some kind in. I got myself a skoggy bear who I LOVE 🐻 and he is a snuggle buddy and I adore him ☺️🫶 I got to take Finn out and spent some much needed doggo time with! Early morning walks to get coffee before work. Late night coffee shop/book store vibes after work while waiting to grab the train home. New hobbies; crochet! And then our annual SF Christmas trip with a group of family friends/second family! I found THE cutest discontinued jellycat stuffed animal (currently collecting them.. bc I’m an adult 😅 lol!)
✨ woke up this morning at 6:30am, went to the hotel gym and just did 30 minutes of upper body weights, then walked in the city for a short trip to grab coffee!
✨ now I’m snuggled in bed watching some law and order: svu for 30 more minutes until we check out at 11am!
✨ when we check out, our group is going to get brunch, go ice skating at Union Square/grab cocoa, and then we’ll head back home.
I love this annual trip, it’s always so fun and nice seeing everyone! But I am so happy to go back home to Thea!
✨ then this week at work will be my last week before a week off for the holidays! So so excited for the time off!! ♥️

Navigating Waves: How Exogenous Factors like the COVID-19 Pandemic Shape Product Adoption
There are many things that impact product adoption and diffusion, as mentioned in this week's reading. Those include but are not limited to:
1. the product itself (is it designed well? is it significantly better than other alternatives? does it address a new or existing customer need?)
2. the market fit (is the company targeting the right audience with this product? is the price of the product appropriate for that audience? is the product being offered in the right stores to reach those consumers? are they talking about the product in the right way?)
3. the competitive landscape (are there competing products and services that may impact adoption rates? is this product competitively priced? how does our marketing compare to competitors?)
A fourth factor that did not come up in the reading but can impact product adoption rates just as much, if not more, than the aforementioned factors are what I will call "exogenous factors". These include things like geopolitical events or natural disasters/crises, which can in turn impact both customer sentiment and also customer needs/priorities. One prime example of this is the COVID-19 pandemic.
Peloton is one brand that was well positioned for a global pandemic. Its product was able to offer a home workout solution for millions of people who were now no longer able to go to gyms or workout classes. What followed was a huge increase in adoption rates for the fitness app. This is an example of how exogenous factors (such as a global pandemic) can impact adoption of a product or service -- either for the positive or for the negative. While Peloton road the pandemic wave, they have been hit hard by a "return to normalcy", as subscribers have dropped off.

What are some high return stocks?
Investing in individual stocks can potentially lead to high returns, but it's important to remember that it also comes with higher risk compared to diversified investments like index funds or ETFs. High return stocks often belong to companies with strong growth potential, innovative products or services, solid financials, and a competitive edge in their industry. However, these stocks can be volatile and may experience significant price fluctuations.
Here are some types of stocks that investors often consider for their potential for high returns:
Technology Stocks: Companies in the technology sector can offer high growth potential, especially those involved in areas like cloud computing, artificial intelligence, e-commerce, and software-as-a-service (SaaS). Examples include Apple Inc. (AAPL), Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN), Alphabet Inc. (GOOGL), and Microsoft Corporation (MSFT).
Biotech and Pharmaceutical Stocks: Biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies can see significant stock price movements based on the success of drug trials, FDA approvals, and breakthrough treatments. Examples include Moderna Inc. (MRNA), Pfizer Inc. (PFE), Biogen Inc. (BIIB), and Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated (VRTX).
Consumer Discretionary Stocks: Companies that provide non-essential goods and services may experience strong growth during periods of economic expansion. This sector includes companies in retail, entertainment, travel, and luxury goods. Examples include Tesla Inc. (TSLA), Netflix Inc. (NFLX), Nike Inc. (NKE), and Starbucks Corporation (SBUX).
Renewable Energy Stocks: With increasing awareness of climate change and sustainability, companies involved in renewable energy, such as solar, wind, and electric vehicles, are gaining attention. Examples include Tesla Inc. (TSLA), NextEra Energy Inc. (NEE), Enphase Energy Inc. (ENPH), and Plug Power Inc. (PLUG).
Growth Stocks: These are companies that are expected to grow at an above-average rate compared to other companies in the market. Growth stocks may not always pay dividends but reinvest earnings to fuel further growth. Examples include Zoom Video Communications Inc. (ZM), Square Inc. (SQ), Shopify Inc. (SHOP), and Peloton Interactive Inc. (PTON).
While these stocks have the potential for high returns, it's crucial to conduct thorough research, consider your risk tolerance, and diversify your investments to mitigate risk. Additionally, past performance is not indicative of future results, so it's essential to invest with a long-term perspective. If you're uncertain, consider consulting a financial advisor before making investment decisions.
