I don't know why I tend to draw Percy the least than the rest of Vox Machina? He's fun to draw, even if figuring out collars and coats is hard. One of these days I'll try to take a leaf out of Hugo Pratt's book, he strikes me as a face who'd do well with Corto Maltese's nose and jaw.
(GLASSES, though. They're hard to draw 😭)

the reason critical role is so good is because every campaign features at least one cast member creating a character that they intend to be doomed by the narrative and matt and the rest of the cast going don’t be an idiot, Our Love Will Undoom Them. like in the explanation of percy’s final playlist, taliesin wrote, “Cheers to a happy ending for a character intended by his creator to be karmically irredeemable. May we all be so fortunate.” and just, Yeah.

Percival Fredrickstein von Musel
Klossowski de Rolo III
I'm just finishing the Briarwood arch, so I wanted to paint Percy.
I understand that Percy's face canonically looks comepletely different, but when I saw a few concept arts of the character (as well as some shots from A Legend of Vox Machina) I wanted my rendition (while looking relatively as Percy should) to have juuuuust a bit of Taliesin's facial features and emotions (and I guess his stubble? *shrugs*)? Obviously Taliesin was not always in character during the game, but still personally to me as a viewer some of the facial expressions he does while playing Percy became essential for this character. So right now without actually fully watching A legend of Vox Machina (so that I don't spoil myself on things from ep35 and forward) it's quite weird to see those stills from the show where Percy does not have that wide-eyed look with a soft smile and high eyebrows of amazement at all the things that are happening to him and his friends. (i know i'm weird)
Still, I'm sure I'll love the show when I finally watch it after completing Campain 1. <3

"Don't trust a man who just kissed somebody! That's a man who's saying fuck it." - Taliesin Jaffe, Vox Machina Campain episode 73, The Coming Storm
This was originally was said in reference to Percy kissing Vex, but it 100% applies to Ashton kissing Fearne now too

I want to imagine that after all of this happened, and suddenly all Sending and Scrying and other divination magic isn't working, - somewhere out there in Exandria, Percival de Rolo just rolled up his sleeves and began to invent the fucking telephone.

the sheer DELIGHT from Laura and Tal as their graph paper child is a complete little brat and is in charge of anyone smaller than her and is the Queen of Whitestone and loves SKELETONS and is MEETING PATE
Look at Tal. He's so proud.
"You are a de Rolo."
