The Wedding of Mary, Princess of the Isle & Oliver Montgomery

Mary’s engagement to Oliver Montgomery was very controversial due to the scandalous parentage of his father and his grandmother’s crimes against the Queen of Melide. Parliament narrowly approved the marriage with a 555-545 majority. The wedding was held at St.Bartholomew’s Cathedral in San Myshuno on January 15th. The bride wore a beautiful gown designed by the wonderful @melonsloth (thank u so much once again I love u!!). Oliver Montgomery was created a royal prince and Duke of Stirling, Earl of Perth, and Viscount of Banbury on the morning of the wedding. There were 1,900 guests invited at the cathedral including heads of states, foreign dignitaries, and royalty from around the world. Oliver Montgomery’s family was represented by his cousins, Crown Prince Maximillian of Monaca, Prince Nicholas of Monaca, and Princess Contessina of Monaca who is the wife of Mary’s cousin, Prince Philip (@thegrimalldis). Most of his immediate family including his parents and grandparents were not invited to the wedding in order to ease tensions the royal family had with parliament. His parents however were later invited at the end of the month where they stayed with the newly married couple at their residence, Honey House. The wedding party included Princess Mary’s close friend Lady Mikaela Hastings and her cousins Lady Rory Wellington and Lady Iris Polarston. Her cousins Princess Isabelle of Stonesby, Lady Xenia Statford, Prince Christopher of Brindleton, and Lady Gwendolyn Statford served in the wedding party. Along with her cousins, the children of a close family friend Princess Mary of the Ionian Union, Princess Celina and Princess Claire served as flower girls in the wedding party (@funkyllama). Their wedding reception was held at Harcourt Palace later that evening with 500 guests.

A few days later, as the sun began to set over the Tower of Windenburg, a diligent guard was making his rounds. With each step, his gaze scanned the surroundings for any signs of trouble. It was during this routine patrol that he noticed something peculiar—a scroll, with the royal emblem, jammed between the mail keep and the wall. Intrigued and suspicious, he gingerly picked it up and carefully broke the seal, revealing its contents.

As he read a few lines, his eyes widened with realization. The words contained within the scroll held a secret that demanded immediate attention from the highest authority—King Wilhelm V himself. Understanding the gravity of the situation, he knew he had to bring this matter to the king's attention without delay.

Without hesitation, he hurried to Windenburg Castle, his heart pounding with each step. As he arrived at the castle entry, he was met by Matthias Hamilton, King Wilhelm's trusted advisor, who had an astute eye for detail. Sensing the urgency in the boy's demeanor, Matthias immediately took notice and beckoned the young guard to share his findings.

In the presence of Matthias, he handed over the scroll, recounting how he had discovered it within the confines of the tower. Matthias's brows furrowed as he examined the scroll, recognizing the royal emblem and realizing that only the guards stationed at the tower possessed such access. The gravity of the situation settled upon him, and he understood the implications of one of their own defying the king's orders.

With a stern expression, Matthias turned to the young guard and inquired about his name. The guard stood tall and replied, "Benedict Britechester, sir." His voice resonated with determination and a sense of duty that commanded respect.

Matthias took note of Benedict's name, recognizing the significance of his courage and dedication. He acknowledged the young guard's unwavering commitment to his responsibilities, assuring him that his actions would not go unnoticed or unrewarded.

Windenburg Royal Family Update

Hey everyone! I know its been quite a while since I’ve updated with this family but I really want to because I missed writing for them! Don’t worry the regency series is still happening (hopefully lol) but I just wanted to make a few posts updating on where my modern royal family is at because there will be a few future collabs! also I had a few collabs with other simblrs in the past and its been so long since then so I would love for them to be up to speed with everyone else :) I dont know how long these updates will last but I took SO many screenshots. I expect to update on every major character in my old series, like Lorelei, Victoria, George & Caroline, Mary, Madeleine, Michael, Cecelia, and Margaret! Happy 67th Birthday, Queen Alexandra !

A new portrait has been shared in honour of the 67th birthday of Farrington's beloved Queen, Queen Alexandra the first! Following the recent celebrations for fourty years on the throne, the Palace delighted us with the first official portrait of our monarch since the celebrations. And what a sight it is!

The Queen went for a classic updo for the occasion, matching it with one of her favourite crowns. Throughout the years, it has adorned many new stamps as they have been released. Insiders claim the shift to the Cameo Tiara has been made due to the heaviness of her Coronation Crown, which gets dusted off very rarely.

Nevertheless, we love to see our beautiful Queen still shine after all these years. We now only wonder.. will we see the rest of the Farrington royals before Trooping the Colour?

As night fell in Advorton, King Wilhelm and his soldiers finally arrived at Aubryn Castle. To their surprise, the castle appeared vacant, with no guards in sight and the windows dark and empty. With cautious steps, Wilhelm and his men entered the unguarded door, venturing into the shadowy corridors. The eerie silence hung in the air, adding to the sense of foreboding.

Determined to uncover any clues as to the whereabouts of the royal family, Wilhelm urged his soldiers to search every nook and cranny of the castle. Hours passed as they combed through the rooms, but it seemed as if the castle had been deserted. Frustration began to settle in, until one of the soldiers called out to the king.

Gathering around the main stairway, the soldier pointed out a faint crack of light emanating from behind a bookcase on the wall. Intrigued, Wilhelm approached, noticing the scratches on the floor near the bookcase. The soldier suggested that there might be a hidden room behind it, as the light indicated someone's presence.

With a mixture of curiosity and caution, Wilhelm investigated further. As the soldier pushed on the bookcase, it slid open, revealing a concealed chamber. The men entered the small room, their eyes widening at the unexpected sight before them.

Inside, they found King Augustus and Queen Anne of Advorton, along with their son and heir, Prince Frederick. Shocked and fearful, the Advorton royals cowered in the face of the guards' intrusion. Wilhelm, though taken aback by the discovery, wasted no time in asserting his authority.

Ordering his men to seize the captured royals, Wilhelm demanded that they be brought back to Windenburg and confined within the Tower. The once-esteemed rulers of Advorton, now reduced to prisoners, would face the consequences of their actions in the realm of Windenburg.
